Fixing the Homestuck Epilogues To Give my S/I’s Story the Prologue it Deserves

Part 1: Relationships

First of All CallieRoxy is SO Real

Second: Turns out that when Dave had that conversation towards the end of Homestuck where he basically tried to come out to John (and then John asked if he and Karkat were dating and Karkat changed the subject) It turns out that what Dave was TRYING to do was confess to John with Karkat as his WINGMAN

So Dave confesses to John and John is like “Sure I’m willing to try dating!” and they actually have a great time for a while? But the thing is that John’s way of dating is kind of weird and lukewarm? Like, he LOVES cuddling Dave and kissing him on the cheek but he’s also super oblivious to anything more?

Meanwhile Karkat has HUGE crushes on like. Both of them? And eventually he gets in on it too but because of John’s weird obliviousness “It” is mostly just sleeping in a cuddle pile every night, and that’s not bad. John and Dave are still the only ones who are technically dating, but he seems to have no sense of like. Wondering what’s actually going on. He just kind of IS and he’s happy to be there with Karkat too.

Also: The Strilondes and Crockengharlberts have these family movie nights where they hang out with each other in their different family groups. Kanaya and Calliope usually hang out with the Strilondes, while Karkat hangs out with the other four. This helps Jane get over her distrust of trolls.

FIVE YEARS AFTER THE GAME ENDS They all go fight Lord English (Karkat, Kanaya, and Calliope stay behind.) The Alpha kids get stranded in Caliborn’s room, but not for long, since the Beta kids travel back when they finish killing LE. They bring Terezi, Vriska, and Davepeta, who they found in the Void when they were fighting.

Then Things Get Weird because it’s pretty obvious that John and Terezi have sexual tension? So John Dave and Karkat have a feelings jam. And John describes what he feels for different people, and they realize that John is aromantic, but has sexual attraction. He is NOT sexually attracted to Dave or Karkat, but he still wants to be with them. Dave says that he USED to feel attracted to John that way, but actually dating him has turned the way he loves him into something else. So John officially has a bigamous QPR with both Dave and Karkat, and Dave and John give each other permission to sleep with other people.

SO John and Terezi start fucking (caliginously), and Dave and Karkat follow soon after. So JohnDaveKat is real, but Dave and Karkat are Red, and Aromantic John is A Physically Affectionate Pale with both of them.

Around This Time John also realized that the feelings he had for Vriska were Gender Envy and not Romance and begins her Epic Juneification.

ALSO Jade and Davepeta are Dating

In addition there’s just. A SHIT TON of Giant Friend Group Dynamics that I feel are generally understated? Like. These people hang out in big groups and have sleepovers every night and hug and tease each other and make everybody feel included and loved. Jade and Jake are best friends, Dirk and Calliope write shitty fanfiction together and try to outdo each other in terms of Pure Shittiness, Jane would KILL for Karkat, Vriska, June, and Terezi hang out and pull pranks like the shit goblins they are...and it’s just. So good.

ALSO THEY ALL LIVE IN THE SAME GIANT MANSION I feel like that’s important context. They live in a mansion. They are roommates.
