Decided to commission my friend @kaleidoscopek9 for a birthday piece featuring my OC Bao and my best friend's sona Juneau! I have no idea if those two share a birthday or not but I figured it would be good to give the doggy some love! Happy birthday @spacehasnobiney!

i mostly have anthro characters and can't find any drawings of my human characters, so here are a couple silly guys! juneau the border collie, bea the cat, elle the axolotl, and her gf the sunflower axolotl who i've been struggling to name for months lol :)

what oh my goddess!!! these are all so sweet, i love the little axolotl girlfriends, i wonder if it’d be ok for me to make a board for them sometime? your art style is so lovely, all the colours are so soft and pretty <3 eee i just love these designs!! thanks for sharing:)

Juneau (the black lab) career changed because she had a real nose for scent work and was not so much a fan of service work. She’s a birding dog now and also mushroom hunts with an amazing couple in Montana (and I get to see them when they come into Washington!) I’m very proud of her, and it’s also pretty heartbreaking to raise a pup and know it just isn’t going to work.

Winnie is (currently) a 6 month old border collie cross, and has an amazingly strong desire to work and train, and is probably the best dog I have ever owned. Her and Bambi get along great, and she’s such a loving and kind and also crazy wild gal!

Do you have more Build a Bear families and do you have backstories for any of your Build a Bears?

My werewolves are all a pack together, and Dahlia is an honorary member because she and Lugosi are dating. Hawthorne and Grey are husbands, and Bennett and Alder are boyfriends. Alpine, the woodland wolf, is part of the general plush wolf pack but not specifically the werewolf pack.

My river otter, Hazel, has a little brother, Sorrel. My elephant, Edgar, is a single dad with a daughter named Mina. My zoo red fox, Maple, has her daughter Poppy, and Ava the wwf wolf has her son Leaf. Petunia pug has baby Pendleton, and Winston the golden retriever has Snickerdoodle. Juneau the husky has baby Nenana, and Clover the border collie has Daisy. I think that's it!

I don't really have specific backstories but I have like...vague ideas of how I'd imagine some of them to live. Like the werewolf pack would live out in a large house at the top of a hill, surrounded by forest. The pack owns the land, basically the whole forest is theirs. Kinda like the Green Creek book series.

Hanging out with my mom and her neurotic border collie! BC only knows one game, it is Fetch, but she and Juneau have worked out a variant where Juneau will catch the ball, drop it, and wait for BC to bring it back to the Holder of the Chuck-It Stick.

Arwen Update:

Back on the front range For Good* and got to see Charlie and Arwen as my parents have been watching them while we move. Both of them did the Dog Dance Of Joy and had to fight over who gets to sit in my lap.  They have been busy teaching each other things in my absence:

Dog heads. Flint's and Juneau's are roughly the same size and shape, but her muzzle is wider and more blunt than his. (His teeth are also significantly bigger.) Ember's and Conker's heads are the same width but her muzzle is way longer. She is by far the pointiest of my dogs lol
