PUMA x June Ambrose x Keeping Score Collection
Tumblr media
Timed to celebrate Women’s History Month and the 50th anniversary of hip hop, the second PUMA and June Ambrose “Keeping Score” collection debuts this week.
June’s inspiration for the Keeping Score collection comes directly from her career in hip hop and reflects on the generations of women who paved the way before her. Her impact on merging the worlds of hip-hop and fashion is undeniable and the dominance of streetwear, the influx of hip-hop in high fashion campaigns, and sneaker culture can all be traced back to the template that Ambrose created in the 1990s.
The second drop of the collection includes PUMA classic, the Keeping Score Slipstream and basketball sneaker, the Keeping Score Rise Nitro.
Additionally, the collection features five apparel items including the Keeping Score Overtime Track Jacket and Track Pant, Keeping Score Victory Reversible Varsity Jacket, Keeping Score Shot Caller Athletic 1/4 Zip and Keeping Score Screen LS tee.
Retailing for $65-$250, Keeping Score is available now on PUMA.com. .

PUMA x June Ambrose Debut High Court Collection & Women’s Hoops Category
Tumblr media
PUMA together with PUMA Hoops Creative Director and iconic image maker June Ambrose, debuts PUMA’s new Women’s Hoops category with a basketball-inspired lifestyle collection, PUMA High Court, coached anddesigned by June Ambrose.
Ambrose who joined the PUMA family in 2020, has been an integral part in helping PUMA launch its Women’s Hoops category, redefining what it means to be stylish in sport by taking a holistic brand approach, designing different looks for women to feel empowered on and off the court. Throughout her career, Ambrose has held court in industries where she wasn’t invited to play. She has built a life and career on the foundation of being unapologetic and fierce in her vision that has always extended beyond style.
“June’s remarkable career of creating culture-defining moments over the past 25+ years is truly inspirational, and we are thrilled to have her intimately involved as the Creative Director of our PUMA Hoops business,” said Adam Petrick, Global Director of Brand and Marketing at PUMA. “She has taken PUMA Hoops to the next level, redefining our Women’s Hoops business with this collection, and truly merging streetwear style with performance.”
On the collection, Ambrose said “When designing this collection, I considered the lifestyle of women and how integral movement is to our wardrobes. I wanted to harness the flexibility that we need and marry this with stylish versatility; each piece is designed to work for all of the positions that we inhabit and the many races we run in our lives every day.”
The bold female-focused collection takes inspiration from Ambrose’s philosophy that life is a sport, style is the game and basketball is the vibe. Ambrose incorporated athletic and physical elements of the game into the collection, to underscore how women are consistently winning, playing the game of life, and staying on top of their daily grind in all the positions that they hold.
Ambrose continues, “I thought about how style and fashion make me feel; when I look good, I feel good, I feel empowered, and I want to share that emotion with the women wearing this collection. When women put on the High Court collection, I want them to feel bold, confident, and fierce.”
Shot by Ambrose’s long-term creative partner and iconic director Hype Williams, the PUMA High Court, coached by June Ambrose collection, retailing from $30-$375, features various apparel, accessories and footwear pieces including: a faux fur jacket, rugby top and shorts, footwear for both on and off the court and more.
The collection will be available starting December 1 in North America on PUMA.com, at the PUMA NYC Flagship store and select Nordstrom locations. Additional styles in the collection will be available beginning January through February 2022.

My #WCW today is @juneambrose with a career that spans over two decades June has left an indelible mark as a style architect who’s been able to touch music, television, design, lifestyle, publishing and social media through her work in Hip Hop As a celebrity stylist @juneambrose was extremely influential at a time when the impact of hip-hop culture was yet to be fully felt. She successfully masterminded and created a narrative different than the one that society was telling. Case in point, she designed and put Missy Elliot in the unforgettable patent leather-and- vinyl suit seen in “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” video amongst many other iconic looks she created over Missy’s career. She was the one who dressed P. Diddy and Mase in those eye-catching metallic suits in “Mo Money More Problems” video and the brains behind the street-chic looks in Hype Williams’ cult classic film ‘Belly.’ She also worked closely with @hypewilliams to create Busta Rhymes “gimme some more” cartoon meet me hip hop world a huge artistic leap for hip hop imagery and direction. Most noteable,June helped Jay Z become the fashion icon he is today working on videos like “Change clothes” and numerous projects over the years ,she is currently styling him on his OTR2 tour with with Beyonce. June’s incredible career is one of the hip hop stories that have shaped and continue to inspire my story at Styled By Boogy. Toast to a fearless creative Icon of this hip hop story @juneambrose #HipHopHerstory #JuneAmbrose #HipHopIcon #Stylists #WCW https://www.instagram.com/p/Bmfk5UqAQSB/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1g5zzn61ofbo9

SUPERSIZE ME! • Missy Elliott music video “The rain” directed by Hype Williams, 1997 • Issey Miyake Balloon Raincoat and Bird’s Beak Cotton Cap photographed by Irving Penn, Spring 1986 Missy Elliott was styled by June Ambrose and the video introduced Elliott to the world in a series of unexpected looks that would go on to not only define Elliott's career but also to set the tone for what we could expect from this brand new artist: Over the top, unafraid, dynamic, and unlike anyone before her, Elliott, with the help of Williams and Ambrose, created imagery that would influence those who would come after her for years and years to come. #missyelliot #therain #musicvideo #hypewilliams #juneambrose #isseymiyake #irvingpenn #ikkotanaka #balloon #michelin #insidethemood https://www.instagram.com/p/CSltFTUANbp/?utm_medium=tumblr
