He knew as he made a walk towards her that Tammie was on a war path that would try and circumnavigate him. He also knew exactly why she was pissed off but that didn't mean he would get any closer to addressing it. Ryan never saw his own actions as catalysts and his apologies were only ever rare and quick, usually right at the brink of almost losing her completely. Deflect. If he could get Tammie to apologize first, he was just fine. Problem forgotten about. Deflect. The whole movement was deflection wrapped up in affection, his hand lifting up to her face in a bid to stop her walking around him. "Hey, slow down. I just want you to talk to me." Deflect. Even the smile on his face was deflection before he bowed his head to take a kiss from her. As his hands cupped Tammie's face gently, he grinned to her and used his thumbs to force the corner of her lips upwards. "You miss her when you're not there, huh? Is that it?" He knew it wasn't.

"Right." the laugh was stilted, Ryan unnaturally obligated to find his friend funny. It could be an easy question to ask. It could be a conversation that caused more good than problems but Ryan couldn't see any potential optimism. He saw his truck once, if it was just once then it's fine. Whatever. But what if it wasn't? Ryan watched Beau's sheepish behavior, suddenly no longer seeing a friend but a man of contrived actions. Suddenly all those times Beau was with them, laughing over drinks, he was waiting for the perfect time to strike. Was it in their bed? Ryan's frown formed quickly at the thought, head tilting as Beau dug himself a hole with his own words. "Yeah? You think you'd do a better job?" he asked with another forced grin. The knife had so many edges it was hard to tell where it was pointing to. Ryan looked away, taking a sip of his beer as his mind flicked through several alternatives to end the conversation. He imagined a crack of Beau's head on the ground, a satisfying break of a nose and he could imagine yelling, Tammie's voice and another bag being packed to throw into his truck but this time not being able to see Faith again. Was she his? Ryan's own laughter broke his train of thought, glancing up to Beau and shoving him again on the arm. "Ah, I'm just fucking with you, man. You need to relax." he chuckled, shaking his head as the smile never reached his eyes. "Shoulda seen the look on your face, though." Finishing up the rest of the beer, Ryan lifted it in his departure. "Getting myself another then I better go see if I can, what you call it? Make her feel special."

"Oh yeah, that's it. Not sure which one is which." Beau laughs dryly with nobody but himself to blame for the tension and awkwardness between the two friends. Of course, he doesn't blame only himself. If Ryan loved Tammie the way Beau believes he pretends to, then they wouldn't be in this mess either. He snickers at the remark because there's not much else he can do, having to take all the jokes and quips with broad shoulders and a forced smile. It's like they're both pretending they both have no idea, and he reckons that's worse. "No, no. Not like that. I was just saying, it's what they all like, right? To feel a little special." he coughs, certain he's now made it worse as he sips his beer and looks anywhere but to Ryan. He nods about the overtime, about to respond when he's been backed into a corner and has nowhere to run. He looks to Ryan finally, scoffing slightly. "What?" he asks the once, tensing slightly but laughing it off in the same breath. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" If they're going to do this, it may as well be surrounded by other members right? Fight nights have never just had one show.

It wasn't difficult to dislike Kasen. Ru had thought for years the other man was a piece of shit but due to circumstance, he had the pleasure of now calling the old 'friend' his roommate. If living together wasn't enough, the two of them were new recruits which meant Ruben never saw the back of Kas' fuzzy hair. "I wanted a chance tonight." he sighed, clutching his beer and glancing around the packed barn. Fight nights were great fun, but even better when he was allowed in the ring. "When was the last time you got your ass handed to you, Morrison? Feels like a while since I got to see you holding your face and crying like a baby." he laughed, finding whatever joke he could to poke some fun at the other man. It was hilarious until it wasn't and with Kas and Ru, it was never clear which way it could go.

"Um, yeah, maybe a little bit. I dont think it's anything to worry about though." The older woman replied, after looking at the girls stomach.

"I just feel like I'm getting fat. Paul probably notices too." She put her head down.

"Honey, that boy loves you more than anything. You're his whole world. You have nothing to worry about. He imprinted on you and he loves you. Now stop putting yourself down and help me make this food for them animals."

The girl laughed and started getting the table set.

Tuesday, June 10th

"Hm. That's weird."

"What?" Leah asked, the girl staying at her house.

"Nothing, just my period was supposed to start 3 days ago. I'm sure it's fine, this happens sometimes."

"If you're sure, and hurry up Elijah is about to kill Klaus."

The girl let out a groan, flushing the toilet after being woken up with the sudden urge to vomit.

Saturday, June 21st

All the girls, Emily, Leah, Kim, and Y/N, were all out shopping and having a girls day.

While Leah and Kim were looking through sets of bikinis. Y/N pulled Emily to the side.

"Em, I think I might be pregnant."

"What? Why do you think that??"

"Um, my periods late, my stomach looks bloated, and I've been throwing up. Not to mention Paul made my favorite dinner the other night and I couldn't stand the smell."

"We need to get you a test then, Hon."

After Leah and Kim left, Emily let Y/N go into the bathroom to take the test.

Coming out the bathroom, Y/N starts stressing. "What if its positive? What will Paul think? How do I deal with this?"

"Hey. Hey. Just breath. Let's first figure out if you're pregnant or not." Emily calmly says.

"Yeah, you're right." Taking a deep breath she starts to calm, until the timer goes off and her eyes get wide. "Can you check?"

Emily walks into the bathroom and looks at the test, coming out with tears in her eyes. "Um, yeah, you're pregnant"

"Oh mi gosh. Em, what am I supposed to do? Paul and I haven't even talked about kids. What if he doesn't want any?"

"Don't jump to conclusions. Take a couple days to think, and tell Paul when you're ready."

"Thank you, Emily. You always know what to say." The girl wraps her arms around the woman.

Wednesday, June 25th

The imprints made burgers and the pack was having a cookout. Everyone was making their plates. Y/N started to make her plate putting 2 burgers, each with cheese, tomato, onion, and chili. Put a little bit of slaw on the side and some chips.

"Dang girl, you're hungry today." Embry joked, making the girl laugh.

"He's not kidding you are eating a lot more lately." Jacob grumbled.

The girl got quiet and let out a silent "oh".

"What was that? Jacob." Paul growled.

"I'm just saying look at her Paul, everyone here notices how big she's getting. Maybe she should cut back."

After hearing that the girl started to stand up. Paul grabbing her hand. "Its fine, Paul. I'm just gonna go home."

She quietly grabbed her bag and apologized for the inconvenience. "Sorry, I didn't realize I did that. You can have them." Then she walked out the house. Leah chasing after her.

"What the fuck Jacob?!" Paul yelled.

"Paul." Sam warned.

"No Sam. He called her fat, she's not fat."

"We don't need a fight to break out."

"If he didn't want a fight he wouldn't have said anything."

"Paul. Enough."

Paul was shaking horribly. Sam pushed him out the house.

"Really Jacob?!" Jared called, running after Sam and Paul.

"Why is everyone so mad? I just told her how it was. You all can see how much bigger she's getting." Jacob tried to justify himself.

"That doesn't mean that you point it out." Seth told him.

"I know you were all thinking it. Just because I have the guts to tell Paul how it is doesn't make me the bad guy."

"Maybe you should learn the whole story before you go around hurting people."

"Seth. What's that supposed to mean? Seth!"

Seth ran out the house, hoping to find Leah and Y/N.

"Embry? Even you said something."

"I was joking Jake. What you did was uncalled for." Embry scoffed.

"Come on."

"Just stop Jacob." Emily snapped, causing the three left there to widen there eyes.

"Emily. Seriously? You know she's bigger!" Jacob was getting angry.

"Yeah, Jacob. She's eating more and getting bigger, but it's none of your business!" Emily snapped again.

"What if eating so much is hurting her?"

"It's not though, Jacob."

"How do you know??"

"Jacob when she is ready you'll know. Until then shut up."

"Damn, you're fast."

"What do you want Leah?" Y/N sighed as she stopped and turned around, her eyes red and puffy.

"Don't listen to Jacob. He's an asshole."

"I don't care about what Jake said."

"You do or you wouldn't be crying."

"He called me fat Leah. I've never been called that before." She started to tear up. "And it's not even that I'm fat."

"What is it then?"

"Leah...I'm pregnant."

"What!? That's great news."

"Yeah, except for the fact everyone thinks I'm a pig now."

"They do not. If anyone's a pig it's Jacob. Now come on, you need the feed that little one."

"Calm down!"

"Shift back!"

Sam phased into his wolf.

"Paul!"

"He's such an asshole." Paul snarled.

"You need to shift back. Calm down."

"I'm going to rip his throat out."

"Paul!"

"Come on Paul. She needs you." Jared joined.

"I'm trying! I can't control it."

"Calm your thoughts. Breath."

Paul started to shift back, pulling up his shorts in the process. Jared and Sam following shortly after.

"Y/N/N! Are you ok? You know Jake doesn't mean to be an ass." Seth tried to reassure the girl.

The girl laughed and grabbed Seth's hands. "Yes. I'm good. Thank you for checking up on me."

It was quiet for a few moments as the trio started walking back to the house. "So..." Seth piped up. "Does she know?"

Leah gasped. "What?! Know?! You told Seth before you told me!"

"He wasn't supposed to find out! He walked in on me having a meltdown about Paul." Y/N defended herself.

"Shit." The girl squeaked. "Paul! He's going to be asking questions. What am I supposed to tell him! I'm not ready. I just found out myself. I need to process this more. Stupid Jacob and his stupid big mouth!"

"Hey! Hey. Just breathe. Paul will understand if you don't want to talk." Leah reassured.

"Are you sure? Because Paul-"

Seth cut the girl off. "She's sure Y/N/N. He wouldn't pressure you into telling him something you don't want to. Now let's go eat I'm sure Little Bit in there is starving."

Both girls let out laughs.

"Um, guys, actually I was just going to go home. I don't wanna face Jacob's apologizes right now."

"Y/F/N you need to eat." Leah demanded.

"Just bring me something when you're finished? Please."

Leah sighed, knowing she wasn't changing the girls decision. "Fine. But you better eat everything I bring you."

"Pinky promise." She held up both her pinkies to Seth and Leah, Seth grabbing her pinky with his, giggling. Leah rolled her eyes, but nevertheless did the same.

"And..." The girl trailed. "Tell Paul that I took his truck. And that I'm ok?"

"So needy." Leah joked, dragging the 'y'.

"But fine I can do that."

"Thank you! You two are the best!"

"We know." They both said at the same time, causing the trio to laugh.

Back at home, the girl, took off her shoes and changed into pajama shorts and one of Paul's shirts.

Turning on her and Leah's favorite show to watch, 'The Vampire Diaries'. It was nice to watch people play supernatural creatures. Got their minds off of the real ones that loomed outside.

"Finally!" Was the first thing Leah and Seth heard as they walked through the door into Emily's and Sam's.

"Where's Y/N?" Was the second.

Leah was the one to tell Paul the situation.

"So, you just let her leave?" Paul said.

"Yes. She is a grown woman Paul." Leah retorted.

"She didn't even eat."

"I told her I would bring her something."

"I think I should go over there."

"No, you shouldn't." Sam butted in.

"And why not?!"

"Because Paul you just shifted you don't need to do that around her."

"I wouldn't hurt her." Paul glared.

"That's not the point. I said no and my answer is final. You will not go over to Y/N's tonight." Using his alpha voice, making Paul growl and leave the table.

"Is it bad that I'm kind of glad Sam did that?" The girl let out to her best friend.

"Yes!" Leah exclaimed.

"I just- I don't know what I would say to him."

"Your fear of confrontation is peeking through."

"Leah! This is serious."

"And I'm being serious. Paul deserves to know."

"I know. I'm just..." The girl let out a sigh. "Scared."

"You should never be scared with him. He looks at you like you're his sun. The thing that is keeping him alive."

"What if he doesn't want a baby? What if this is the one thing he can't handle with me." She whispered.

"That boy would love to start a family with you. The timing may not be ideal, but I've seen the way he looks at you. I saw the way he looked at you before the imprint. You are his literal everything and not just because fate decided you were destined. You were meant to have forever with each other way before fate decided it."

Y/N had tears in her eyes by the time Leah had finished. "I really needed that Leah." She sniffled. "I guess, sometimes, my insecurities take over. I've just been so scared, with the vampires and Bella. There's no time for a baby. Not in his life. He already has so much on him. Why do I need to add more?"

"Quit putting yourself down. You know you come first, when it comes to anything with Paul. A baby is not a burden, or something that just adds pressure. A baby can bring joy and bring people together. Maybe that's what we all need right now."

"Yeah. Maybe you're right."

"No maybe about it. I am right."

"Oh so modest." The girls giggled.

Thursday, June 26th

Awoken to heavy knocks on the front door, both girls growned, having stayed up most of the night talking.

"Y/N. Get the door." Leah grumbled.

"Why me?" The girl whined.

"It's your house."

"You kept me up all night."

"You mean you kept me up all night."

"No."

"Just open the door."

"Fine." She whined, pushing herself out of bed, looking at the clock on her nightstand that read 8:07 am.

Stomping to the door, grumbling profanities the whole way. She pulled the door open only to be greeted with-

"Paul?"

"Hey! I couldn't sleep without making sure you were ok. Jacob was an asshole. He never should have said those untrue things. I love your body and you should too. I think you're beautiful, inside and out. I don't care that you can eat two burgers, I love a woman that can hold her food. Yo-"

"Paul." She cut him off. "As sweet as this is, can we do it later? I'm sorry. Leah kept me up until 5 this morning and all I wanna do is curl up and take a hundred year nap."

"Yeah. Yeah. Of course. Want a cuddle buddy?" A smirk slowly rising on his face.

"You know I could never turn you down." She grinned pulling him inside and onto the couch.

By the time the girl woke Paul was already gone, a note in his place, telling her he had patrol but would be back after.

Leah was gone too, so the girl assumed the pack needed her as well.

Grabbing some clothes, she went into the bathroom and turned on the shower.

After a much needed shower, Y/N looked out the window and noticed Paul's truck still in the driveway and his keys still on her nightstand.

Grabbing the keys, and getting in the truck, she started her drive to Emily's.

"Hey Em." She called, walking inside.

"Heyyyy." Said girl peeked her head out the kitchen. "I need to talk to you."

"Ok, nothing stressful about that sentence at all."

"Have you told Paul?"

"Diving right in, I see." She muttered.

"Huh?" Emily called from the kitchen.

"Oh! Uh- no I haven't."

"Do you know when you're going to? Because I think you should soon, it'll make all this doubt you have go away."

"I don't know. Soon though, promise!"

Tuesday, July 7th

Everyone was gathered around Emily and Sam's table, laughing and joking around. Well, everyone except Jacob he was upset with Bella, which made him brood.

Y/N sat beside Paul, occasionally stealing the tomatoes off his plate, he always put them to the side for her to grab because they were her favorites and he wasn't that fond of them.

Going unnoticed by the pack and the imprints, everytime she'd take one Jacob would roll his eyes and scoff.

Grabbing the last one of Paul's plate and about to put it in her mouth she was stopped by Jacob's rude voice.

"Are you serious?" He scoffed.

Everyone looked around confused as to what his sudden outburst was about.

"Everything ok, Jacob?" Emily asked.

Jacob let out a little laugh and clicked his tongue.

This time Y/N spoke up.

"Are you upset, Jacob?"

"Me? What? No." He paused. "I do think Paul should be though."

"Why would Paul be upset?" You furrowed your eyebrows.

"Because his girlfriend has already had more than enough, but she's still eating. And not just that but taking it off his plate. Do you really need that much food Y/N? All it does is make you fatter, which is definitely not something you need. If anything you need to exercise more." He spat at her.

His outburst caused Kim and Emily to let out gasps. Jared and Paul standing up.

Paul had his mouth open about to say something but before he could Y/N interrupted.

"Paul. It's fine. He can feel the way he feels. I'm just gonna go home."

"No you're not." Emily piped in. "Jacob if you could please leave."

"What?" Jacob exclaimed.

"I asked if you could leave, I expect you to use respect in my house and until I see you give some to Y/N I want you to leave."

"She's not even apart of the pack."

"She's an imprint. We are apart of this pack, now are you gonna apologize or did I need to get Paul to escort you out?"

Jacob scuffed, "I'm sorry I called you fat, it may be true but it was not nice of me to say."

Paul was fuming, "I accept your apology"

"No she doesn't." Paul vented.

"Paul, it's fine I don't wanna cause a fight."

"You're not causing the fight. He is."

"He apologized. That's enough. Let's finish eating, then I have to tell you something."

"You wanted to tell me something?" Paul said, as he drove them home.

"Can it wait? I'm really tired and just wanna go to sleep."

"Of course, Sweetheart." He kisses her temple.

Thursday, July 9th

"I'm telling him."

All three girls let out simultaneous screams.

"Finally!" Emily exclaimed.

"Took you long enough" Leah joked.

"I still can't believe you're pregnant." Kim gasped.

"Well maybe I should wait a little longer, maybe until August?" Y/N let out a cheeky grin.

"No!" All three girls yelled.

The guys were on patrol and the imprints had the house to themselves. There was a knock at the door.

The girl laughed as she got up to get the door.

"Are you expecting anyone?" Leah questioned Emily.

"No." Emily whispered out.

"Y/N don't answer that." Leah called.

"Guys I invited someone." Y/N answered back.

"Who? We're your only friends." Leah joked.

Y/N opened the door, only for Bella to be standing awkwardly on the other side.

"Hi! Come in. Come in."

"No." Leah deadpanned.

"I thought it would be nice. Jacob really likes her."

"Why do you care what Jacob thinks? He's an ass."

"He wasn't always one. And a friend of Jake's is a friend of ours."

"Well, I think it was nice of Y/N to invite Bella. Make yourself at home Bella, the guys shouldn't be back for a while so it's just us girls. Right now we're just talking but later we're baking!" Emily clapped.

"Ok." Bella squeaked out.

"I don't think we've met. I'm Kim." She introduced herself.

"Bella." She said and waved.

"Well sit down, come on." Emily waved her over. "You ok if we still talk about.."

"Of course! As long as you promise not to tell the guys." Y/N put on her best serious face and looked Bella dead in her eyes.

"I barely talk to them."

"You can't tell Jacob."

"I won't tell Jacob."

"Ok..well I'm pregnant, the baby is Paul's and I haven't told him yet."

"Omg. Congratulations."

"Thank you! I'm kinda in this adrenaline thing right now and I'm hoping it won't wear off by the time Paul gets here." The girls giggled.

"So. Boys!" Emily exclaimed. "Jared?"

"We're really good. He's the greatest. The other day he tried to make me breakfast in bed, he got up really early, my parents were out of town, word of advice Em, never and I mean ever let Jared in the kitchen. It was sweet though he brought me fried eggs and bacon, only all of it was black." Kim laughed at the memory. "And I have a burnt spot on the wall in my kitchen, he still won't tell me what happened."

"He's such a klutz."

"But he makes it so adorable!"

The girls laughed at how in love she was.

"I already told y'all all my boy struggles." Y/N threw her hands up. "What about Sam?" She wiggled her eyebrows, causing the girls to let out giggles.

"Sam is..." Emily let out a sigh, "Sam is perfect. The wedding is soon, as you all know. But enough about me I wanna know about your love life Leah. Oh, and Bella would you like anything to drink, we've got wine and water, sorry not much."

"I'm good. Thank you." Bella muttered, still awkward.

"Leahhhh. Love life. Go." Emily may be a little tipsy.

"Can't talk about something that's non-existent."

"Leah don't lie. We're all friends here." Y/N blurted out.

"Fine. I did meet this girl....but that's all I'm saying!"

Emily and Kim let out pouts while Y/N laughed, maybe letting them have wine was a bad idea.

"You." Emily pointed at Bella.

"Me?" Bella questioned.

"Yes. How's your vamp?"

"Oh, um- he's nice, I guess."

"No. I need more than nice."

"He's really good at dancing." Bella shrugged.

"I need more." Emily begged.

Maybe Bella should of said yes to that wine.

It had been a good four hours and 4 out of 5 of the girls were more than tipsy. The 5th one just laughing her ass off at her friends.

The guys were in for a surprise when they came in. There was flour everywhere. In places where flour shouldn't be.

The girls were sitting in a circle in the kitchen, giggling, waiting on their cookies and brownies and muffins to be done. They got a little over board.

Then the door opened and the girls went silent. Sam walked through the door to be met with flour and baking ingredients all over the table and counters, along with 3 empty bottles of wine. He could hear whispers in the kitchen.

"Maybe if we stay really quiet they won't realize we're here." Emily whispered. The other girls giggling. "Shhhhh."

Sam peered over into the kitchen, watching the five girls huddle down, not noticing he was there. Hearing the guys he quieted them letting them look.

Emily peered up seeing the guys watch them causing her to squeak and the other girls to look up.

Each guy had an amused look on his face, watching the girls.

"Welp, grab one." Sam called.

Sam scooped Emily up into his arms, causing her to let out of squeal.

Jared did the same to Kim, and Jacob to Bella. Seth grabbed his sister, and Paul grabbed Y/N.

"Paul, wait, I have to tell you something" Y/N said. "I'm not drunk. I can't even drink."

He took the girl and sat her down outside. She stood in front of him, and he gave her a look to continue.

Hearing loud noises coming from the house, they both looked over only to see all four girls watching them with wide grins on their faces.

"What is happening?" Paul asked, with a confused smile.

In the background you could hear the girls screaming with excitement.

"Here goes nothing. Paul..."

"Yes."

"I'm pregnant."

Paul's face was pure shock, all the girls in the background screaming and cheering.

"We're gonna have a baby?"

"Yeah. We're gonna have a baby. It's why I've been getting bigger, as Jacob so kindly reminds me."

"I'll kill him if you want me to."

"I know you would."

"I have a question."

"Shoot."

"I invited her. She's actually really nice. I get why Jacob likes her."

So hey.

Last night i checked tumblr and saw a post saying KOSA could be pushed through to getting passed next week from june 21st and i tried to check the kosa tag on twitter to try and verify it. So i went and posted this to try and get the word out.

It was 2:00am when i posted this screenshot and i was tired and stressed and now i've started to wonder if I jumped the gun a bit. It doesnt seem like theres any appointment made anything related to kosa stuff, i am not entirely sure but the fact is, i made a post based on the word of one other tumblr post and one twitter post. I went full ahead with little information to validate it and its fair to say i fucked up big time.

I have caused an unnecessary amount of stress and worry over the possibility of KOSA being passed next week, I should have approached after i had some sleep instead of diving headfirst. I fucked up and i let so many people down.

I am well and truly sorry for the trouble I caused. I just wanted to try and fight this bill and others like it to try and protect something thats been a major part of my life for good and bad. Instead i've let you all down.

• Battle of Damascus

The Battle of Damascus was a battle between Allied Forced and Vichy French forced and was the final action of the Allied advance on Damascus in Syria during the Syria–Lebanon campaign in World War II.

On June 8th, 1941, troops of the 5th Indian Infantry Brigade Group had crossed the Syrian border from the British Mandate of Palestine to take Quneitra and Deraa with the objective of opening the way for the forces of the 1st Free French Division to advance along the roads from these towns to Damascus. This was one of four attacks planned for the campaign by the Allied commander, General Sir Henry Wilson. Gentforce had been under the temporary command of the commander of the 5th Indian Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Wilfrid Lloyd, since 12 June when Legentilhomme had been wounded. The plan called for the troops of 5th Indian Brigade to advance northwards from their positions at Artouz on the Quneitra–Damascus road across country west of the road towards Mezzeh. Mezzeh was a large village on a junction with the Beirut to Damascus road, some three miles west of Damascus itself. The brigade's supplies, ammunition and the anti-tank element would follow closely behind on the road proper. Meanwhile, the Free French forces would advance along the Kissoué – Damascus road to capture Qadim as a preliminary to entering the Syrian capital, some four miles further north. On June 18th, the Indian troops set out and skirmished their way north. They reached Mezzeh at 04:15. By 05:30, after an hour of fierce hand-to-hand fighting, Mezzeh was captured. However, there was a major problem: the equipment and anti-tank guns travelling up the main road had earlier got ahead of the infantry and run into a Vichy roadblock where most of the vehicles were knocked out. Furthermore, the planned advance by the Free French to Qadim had been delayed, allowing the Vichy defenders to concentrate on the Mezzeh action, putting intense pressure on the Allied position whilst thwarting any attempt to relieve them and bring in vitally needed anti-tank weapons.

On June 19th, Major General John Evetts, commander of the British 6th Infantry Division, arrived to relieve Lloyd and take control of the Allied forces east of Merdjayoun. With the losses suffered by the Indian brigade, he requested that the British 16th Infantry Brigade be detached from the 7th Australian Division and sent to his sector. Three Australian battalions were also detached to Evetts' command: the 2/3rd Machine Gun Battalion and the 2/3rd and 2/5th Infantry Battalions. By nightfall on 19 June, the Allied position at Mezzeh was desperate. Ammunition was running low, no food had been eaten for 24 hours, casualties were severe, and medical supplies were exhausted. During the night (when Vichy attacks were suspended), three men managed to reach Gentforce headquarters with the news of the position in Mezzeh. Early on June 20th, Brigadier Lloyd, having handed over to Evetts, resumed command of the 5th Indian Brigade and sent a force comprising two companies from the 3/1st Punjab Regiment, two companies of French Marines and a battery of artillery to fight its way through to Mezzeh. But they could not blast a way through and they progressed only slowly against determined opposition from French tanks. A Free French attack on Qadim the previous night had failed expensively, so that they were unable to exert pressure on Qadim that morning to draw Vichy forces away from Mezzeh. That night, however, the Free French with support from British anti-tank and anti-aircraft guns and an Australian machine-gun battalion, advanced against light Vichy defences and captured Qadim by the morning of the 21st.

Throughout the evening of June 20-21st, the Australians fought several actions, attacking a series of stone forts overlooking the Mezzeh and the Quneitra road. Elsewhere, a company of Australians attempted to move around the left flank of the Vichy defenders to cut the road running north-west to Beirut and establish a road block in the Barada Gorge. A see-sawing action took place amongst the forts, during which a force of 59 Australians was briefly captured, before a counter-attack early on June 21st freed them and retook the forts. Meanwhile, a 12-hour defensive action held the Barada Gorge to the west, turning back several French attacks that included tanks and armoured cars. During the morning of June 21st, the Australians consolidated their positions around the forts, and in the Barada Gorge and around 11:00, the Vichy French garrison in Damascus surrendered. By noon, the Allied forces were in Damascus and the Vichy forces were retreating west along the Beirut road. With the fall of Damascus, Gentforce accomplished its primary goal. Elsewhere, fighting around Merdjayoun continued until June 24th, when Allied forces eventually captured the town. The fighting between the Vichy forces and the Allies continued throughout the month. Further actions included fighting around Damour and the capture of Beirut.

He still has some fin-like features on him, but not as much as before. Some water ghouls could have scales like fish, so you'd have to squint to see the patches of scales on Smoke. They were larger when he was still water. The fire features kinda override it.

I wonder how long the team doing on their own without their leader?

Actually, few months.

Numbuh 442 was decommissioned on June 22nd, 1985. After that, Lou took over as leader, and the group went on with only four members.

In September 1985, it was decided to take Sector Ʌ out of service and put 5 sectors around Australia to make work easy for KND (also because they received a lot of joining applications from there after the whole Fire Goddess accident). So, as the last members got decommissioned, the Sector would cease operation.

On March 21st, 1986, Numbuh 443 was decommissioned, and it was decided that Sector Ʌ would, from that moment on, just be used as training grounds for the other Sectors that would protect Australia in the future; Numbuh 444A would think about plan-making and leader actions, Numbuh 445 would help with weapons and fighting training and Numbuh 444B would train pilots and mappists (Even if at that point mappists were starting to get replaced with new age radars and digital maps. Syd had a hard time trying to tell these kids why orientation was important, but they wouldn't listen).

Finally, we arrived in August 1986, the day that ended everything.

After getting a distress call from Sector Z in America, the trio decided to go investigate by themselves, without reporting to Moonbase or anyone else, where they met Father and the Delightfuls for the first time.

During that night, Numbuh 444A disappeared and when the rest of KND arrived, Syd begged to be decommissioned immediately, without saying what exactly happened. Numbuh 444B was decommissioned 4 months before their 13th birthday.

Charlie was deeply hurt by all of that, from Lou disappearing to Syd refusing to tell even her what happened.

Sector Ʌ was taken out of commission the day after and Numbuh 445 was moved to Moonbase as Head of Decommission until September 21st, 1987, when she turned 13 and was decommissioned.

As for Numbuh 444C, he stayed at the treehouse guarding it until his passing in 1999.

Sector Ʌ was slowly forgotten and is now regarded as a myth by the whole KND organization.

"Easy, Cork." he laughed happily, not noticing their friend's sour mood. He sometimes forgot Tim could be either the happiest drunk or one of the meanest. He remembered quickly as he watched the disagreement unfold, Tim getting offended for no real reason. It was the last words that seemed to do it, Corky getting right up into Blaze's face but it still was making Ethan laugh. "You lose a bet, Tim? You need some water, man. C'mon."

The flash and cry of sirens nearing was enough to send everybody into a panic, people running in all directions like their life depended on it. "Brad!" he shouted again, looking for the stark opposite features anybody would expect a Brad to have. Nora. It was the easiest way to not raise suspicions with her family and just one of the many things they did to keep ticking along without any problems. Thinking about it, she should've been Alice and he could've been Brad but there wasn't much time to think when the barn was erupting into chaos. It was risking a lot because what if he found her as Ethan or JJ did? How would he explain running in the opposite direction of the crowd just to get to her? But that's what he needed to do. What man ran from trying to protect the woman he cared about? He was swept with worry that she was going to be dragged down or pushed aside as it was every man for itself. "Brad!" Another yell as he elbowed through friends and affiliates, and then he saw her and Taner didn't hesitate. He grabbed hold of her hand, pulling her towards him but not without his hands then taking her face gently. "You okay? You good?" he spoke loudly above the noise, leaning slightly to read the expression behind her eyes. "Let's go, I know the others will be fine. I saw Ryan got Tammie." he quickly explained, knowing she'd be worried about her family even after all of the Hell they caused for the two of them.

Small headcanon request if you want:Ani's Birthday. She's probably hasn't had a nice one for a while. It wouldn't be too big, but I think Igor would get her something meaningful that would surprise her..

Yeah, I would agree that Ani's previous birthdays haven't been all that much to write home about. Mostly they were an excuse to get really plastered and stay out in the city all night until she and whoever she was with stumbled to the Q train to make it back to Brooklyn by daybreak. Her 21st birthday was supposed to be a big blowout, but she ended up getting in a screaming fight with her best friend at the time and had to take a ridiculously expensive cab ride home, crying the whole time and crying some more once she was by herself in her own bed. (The fight then moved to her socials. There's a reason she swore off Instagram after that for almost a year.) Let's just say she doesn't have super high expectations for birthdays.

So when Igor tells her that he'd like to take her out for her birthday, she's mostly like, “Sure, whatever,” but doesn't get too excited about it. What's the point of focusing so much birthdays, anyway? It's just a day, she reasons, not all that different from any other. She's surprised, though, when he wants to pick her up in the middle of the day, rather than go out at night. But he comes by her house a little before noon with a grin and a red velvet cupcake he got at the local bakery. There's a candle on top, which he lights with his cigarette lighter, and then he sings a single verse of Happy Birthday to her in his deep Russian accent.

She eats the icing off with her fingertip and then nibbles at the cupcake as they drive. Ani has no idea where they're going, and it seems to be taking a while, driving along the Belt Parkway and then up into Jamaica and Flushing and across the East River until they're in the Bronx. Only when they pull into a parking lot and she sees the sign does she realize he's brought her to the Bronx Zoo, which she has memories of coming to once as a child, but hasn't been to in years. After their tickets get scanned, they wander around for a while, looking at the giraffes and the gorillas and the rhinos. It's a beautiful June day and mostly it's just nice to be outside, especially when she realizes that there are also peacocks roaming around the grounds. He begins to steer them in a direction because it turns out he bought additional tickets for a timed-entry exhibit just up the path.

Once they're inside the double sets of doors—installed so that no animals can escape—she's confused, because the air seems to be moving. What's moving, she realizes, as she looks at the trees and the flowers and the little man-made pond, are countless butterflies. They're fluttering beneath the greenhouse windows and landing on leaves and branches only to move their wings and take flight again. And they're every color imaginable: green, white, yellow, black, orange, red. “No fuckin’ way,” she mutters as she takes it all in. Because it's magical, like a dream, and all she can do is stare. A few fly closer to her and there's the impulse to squeal and turn away, but instead she puts her hand out and one—a big black and orange monarch—lands on her fingertips. She turns her hand to see it closer and its wings slowly open and close, almost as if it's waving hello. She can barely breathe and after a few seconds, it flies away, but that doesn't stop a wide, delighted smile from forming on her lips.

“Happy Birthday, Anora,” he says softly, and it's only at this moment that she realizes how wrong she was. This is a day that's been different from any other day, one she knows she won’t ever forget.

"Always." Hunter laughed, connecting his fist to Jackson's in a friendly and supportive bump before giving the other man a short nod. "Third time's a charm, right?" he added with a grin, backing away a few paces in preparation. It was no surprise that fights were Hunter's favorite way to have fun, since blood and alcohol were always the focus of them. He was channeling his focus, letting his breathing steady as his gaze sharpened to his opponent. Slowly getting ready to stop JJ from being seen as a friend once their call was made. "You wish, Jones." he joked right back, stretching his neck as he laughed slightly.

It was the usual shout above voices that became muffled for Hunter as the adrenaline spiked in his veins. No biting, no rings, no knuckledusters, no guns, no... All he could hear was the sharpness of his breaths and all he could see was JJ, standing opposite him like a target. Fight! Hunter reacted within a fraction of a second, grappling hold of the other man in an attempt to have the upper hand. His arm slung around JJ's neck, pulling the Jones down to meet his opposite fist. His strategy was rather simple, to try and wear down JJ as quickly as possible.

jj's eyes flicker through the familiar faces of his brothers and sisters in the reapers, wishing he could see cricket's bright eyes shining back at him and encouraging him. he knows she can't be there after she's made it clear she wants no part in any of it, even if fight nights are just a glorious way to have some fun. it doesn't feel like a real fight to jj and he knows hunter feels the same. the two of them have seen the difference between fighting to survive and fighting for an invisible crown. even if this is the third time they've faced one another in hope that one of them will finally win and put the draw to bed. jj gives a nod to the other man, a friendly bump of fists and then a clap on the shoulder. "best man win?" he offers a grin, taking a few step backwards so he can await their signal to start. "by the way, if you punch me in the dick again i'm gonna start a rumor that you got a big fat crush on me, cross." he goads, knowing it's all part of the fun and sometimes easy to press the other man. @manybcdthings

sky lady late night rambles 🌙🥰

stayed up too late working on a crochet order for my small business

(Yes, I finally did it ! just starting out)

& at the same time, I was also on the phone with my boyfriend (he was telling me gossip from trivia night & funny stories about friends)

so we both got off the phone quickly because I didn't realize what time it was & I think he said real fast "go, go to sleeps, night night, love you, goodnight" so I said it back "ok, talk to you tomorrow, love you goodnight"

then the phone call cut off, so I wasn't sure if he heard me 😬 I was so scared !

but he did ! he heard me & texted me right after "love you too" 🥰

It made me so giggly & happy right before bed.

I'm so glad we finally feel comfortable saying it to each other & now he's been saying it more often without being afraid to express his feelings. 💐❤️

over the weekend, we were talking & he was holding me after I was confiding in him about struggling a bit & he just said "I love you, everything is ok, I'm sorry I didn't say it when I should have."

It meant so much because I was so worried he didn't feel the same. That was my biggest wish for him to love me back.

Sat will be our 1 year anniversary. 💌

I can't believe we've seen 4 seasons together, shared so many special moments & made a lot of loving memories.

June 2022, he was just "baseball guy ⚾️" here on the blog ! I saw him for the first time & didn't even know his name.

Dec 2022, he was "grumpy bb", & at first I thought that he couldn't stand me at all !

Jan 20th 2023, with a funny nudge from my best friend AR, we talked for the first time & hit it off immediately.

Jan 21st 2023, my phone broke & I had no way of contacting him. we were supposed to hang out on this day, so I went to the bar in person to wait for him. our best friend, "JJ"wrote his number down on my receipt for me, which I still have & carry with me in my purse wherever I go. The entire thing is faded except for his number & the date on the bottom.

Jan 29th 2023, we went for a walk in the cold winter & bonded over loving the movie "March of the Wooden Soldiers". We shared our first kiss, & my silly friends witnessed the whole thing. It was hysterical & wonderful at the same time.

Feb 2023, I gave him a special keychain of a plane that has meaning for us. Months later, he gave me a little blue pin with a plane on it, too.

We're pretty much inseparable. Sure, we've had our ups & downs, stupid fights & misunderstandings. No one said this would be easy or perfect. But I feel like we are it for each other & I wouldn't have it any other way.

Jan 2024, he's my best friend, the love of my life. I feel like the universe led us to one another when we needed each other more than ever.
