Who did John Crighton murder???!

Uh…Crais’s brother, for starters? I mean, that was an accident, but he did very definitely kill Crais’s brother in the first episode. After that, he kills lots of people over the years. He’s armed with and uses a pulse pistol in later seasons, with which he probably kills a fair number of people. He blows up that moon with the Peacekeeper base in the S1 finale. He deploys a nuclear bomb at the end of S4. He kills Aeryn Sun, the love of his life, as Harvey-Crichton at the end of S3. During Peacekeeper Wars he kills folks in battle, and then there are the wormhole weapons.

John Crichton’s body count is high, and I think he’d be the one of the first to admit it.

A few sentences from a semi-abandoned Farscape CrichtonxSun fic that no one asked for....

“Frelling Scarrans. Pilot, I thought you said that planet was safe.” John huffed into his comm, half-dragging Aeryn down the corridor to the med-bay. “C'mon, let's get you patched up.”

“I'm sorry, Commander. Moya's sensors did not pick up their ships' heat signature on her scan. Moya apologizes and wishes to know if Aeryn will be okay.”

John patted the wall beside him gently as he walked, his arm tight around Aeryn's waist.

“It's okay, Moya.”

“As long as we can keep this from getting infected, I'll be fine Moya. Please, don't worry. It's not your fault they were that well cloaked.” Aeryn winced as they trudged through the halls, her hand pressed tightly to the wound on her leg.

“Moya thanks you for your forgiveness, Aeryn. As do I. We will starburst once you make it to the med-bay.”

i think i’ve done pretty well with capturing their conversational patterns, especially Pilot. now if i could only remember the plot i had in mind for this fic beyond hurt/comfort...

for the first time in a really really long time, I’m changing my blog title and it’s thanks to a trawl through my #WATCH FARSCAPE tag and this beautiful gifset by @jumpingpuddles which reminded me yet again of how much I love John Crichton. 

I have hope or I am nothing is both a great summary of Crichton’s character and a good thing for me personally to keep in mind in this current political climate.
