Moon Landing Day!
July 20, 1969. The Apollo mission put the first humans on the moon, thanks to NASA and a lot of work, time, and money.

Some appropriate reading for today. Although technically it is an anachronism as the newspaper wouldn't have been printed until tomorrow since the event occurred today, but I think we can let that slide, right?
Happy 54th Anniversary to the Apollo Moon Landing, the culmination of the Moonshot project promised by JFK in his famous Rice University speech. I don't think I can quite overstate how important I think the space program is, several advances in technologies we use every day came about because of their development for use by NASA, and I for one am ecstatic that we will be returning to the moon (and possibly doing the other things) in the near future with the Artemis missions.

A little late with all those Moon Landing posts but…Eh, was sick the night before so I took NyQuil and slept through most of the day so I didn’t have the time or energy to.
So, might as well do it now while I got something to use.

Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?
