It is July 16th.

A date known across this world and many more. A day forever marked in the memories of the Celestial bots. A sad day, an omen of struggles to come.

It is also the day a certain pair fully woke up. Deemed to be their date of “birth” if one were to say it so. The twins of the blood moon, though no longer at play, are honored on this day.

The day of the massacre.

That damned day.

The moon is up high, red shine illuminating the deck. A place of importance this was to the twins. A place where many others have agreed to meet.

The feral one starts, calm for once. Under their hood, white eyes look at the sky, pondering on the fate of them who shared their code. They approach a lamppost and place their offering, a giant scythe, for whatever hunts the twins may partake in the afterlife. They lower their head, uncharacteristically silent, and make their way back to the group.

It is a while before anyone else moves, though before long them who’ve retired approach. In truth they hadn’t wanted to come, at least not with the others. They hadn’t seen a point when all they shared was a name. They shake their head and look at the moon. Though not exactly the same, they supposed they still understood. At least the real ones could be at rest now, free of all the shackles and free of any pain. They place the copper dagger at the base, and turn back to the rest, for once their quietness not questioned by the fellow pairs.

The hunter and harvest moons stare up at the stars, hand in hand. They were next in line to pay respects. A basket of flower chains they’ve brought, orange, and pink, and white, they could not find any red. They place them around the lamppost, tying the strings so they wouldn’t fly away. They pause and take a look at the small memorial, wondering if without their family this would be them. They hold one another closer at the thought. They hope the flower smell could reach those separated by death and reunited once again, the not unpleasant smell was one they knew could help.

He took a step forward, then another. He hadn’t expected this to be so difficult, it was a struggle for him just to walk, but he couldn’t just not show up. Not again. Once reaching the lamppost he glances up at the sky, a memory quickly flashing by. He looks down again, trying to keep himself calm. A comforting hand rests on his shoulder, his friend had arrived as soon as he had called. Together they leave the plushie on the ground, the lone twin looking back once more, glad to know at least the other him was no longer alone.

The vampire walks up to the lamppost. They were the ones who came up with this event. Truth be told they hadn’t expected so many others to agree to it, it was meant as a small ceremony of sorts, though they supposed it was good in the end. To have so many others show their respect. They kneel and place down the charm they had prepared, a ‘good luck in the afterlife’ so they’ve read. They hoped the other them was doing well in hell, they knew how awful it could get down there.

They don’t know why they agreed to this, they really didn’t. The guy was awful, a murderer, a freak. But… it didn’t feel right for them to not show up. With unpracticed care, they wobble over to the memorial, a scarlet ribbon in their hands. They figured the originals would like that shade more than their preferred orange and wine. It took some time but they eventually managed to tie the ribbon around the post, their shared body stumbling back and nearly falling over thereafter. They went back to their place wondering if this is what Kaycee felt whenever she looked at them.

Both humans walk up at once. The older holding a bag close to their chest, a fitting sacrifice for their alternate selves they believed; the youngest had a necklace of a red stone they had found, they weren’t really sure what else they could’ve gotten. They both place their offerings at the same time, necklace on the base and cow’s head to the side. The older stood up and looked at the red sky. Such a pretty view it was, they were glad they could see it together, such luck they had had. Unfortunate the others couldn’t have a fraction of it, to be ripped apart like that was not something easily left behind. Though they were both dead now so perhaps it didn’t matter at all. The youngest stood up as well, talking out loud to themselves. They knew of the twin’s status at their deaths, so upsetting to think they’d had no one but themselves. It was small and they couldn’t answer anymore, but they had still offered a place in their family’s home, they knew for sure they’d leave an open space for them at dinner today.

Death itself was there, or at least one of them. The butterfly god had agreed to let its new soul out, to mourn or grieve or whatever they were busy at. The young god and their still mortal twin approach the place for gifts, still in sync despite the many differences developed. They place the flower down, the mortal tying the previously left necklace around the vase’s mouth. They both look back at the moon and stars, slightly at peace at seeing what will be. This is their future, perhaps not exact, but very close to it. A soul destined to death, and a pair to never separate.

They were last in line, and last arrived, recent arrivals to the group over all. To find so many others with the same affliction had been both surprising and sad, even more when learning of their brother’s reputation. Still, the new twins step forth, moral support sun at their side. They knew little of these alternates, just that they were villains and rejoiced in death, and they loved one another dearly to an immeasurable extent. Such a duality hurt their brain, but they figured they’d still pay their respects. A black cloak in their hands, one of the many they had, a perfect tool for sneaking around in the dark, they figured it’s something the dead killers would like. They step back after placing it down, their brother behind them, and all three let their thoughts wander to what in their future might happen.

Once all were done there was silence. No one really had anything to say, all of them holding their own thoughts over the death of this version of them. And one by one, each pair left, returning to their worlds and their daily lives. Some came home to celebrations of their own, some to quiet halls, some to rotten bark. But in the end, whether better or worse, they all arrived to their friends and family, and, if only for one night, let themselves appreciate what they had, what they could’ve lost.

May the twins find mayhem in the afterlife, may they burn in hell side by side. Happy birthday Bloodmoon,

and please never come back.

Okay I may not be drawing rn, but I wanted to add some things for my Strayed! AU:

Since Sun in my AU is a femboy, I still wanna add even though he enjoys dressing more femininely at times, he’s still a guy So he doesn’t want to be a girl, he just likes occasionally dressing ‘like a girl’ :3

I was just gonna leave it at the previous thing about Sun but then I remembered this thing I decided while I was gone and I really really wanna share that and I cannot believe I almost forgot it so let me just actually get to the point and stop quick-rambling:

In the Strayed!AU, I kinda wanted to go Stitchwraith route with Dazzle (or like. Whatever that other canon FNAF animatronic is with the multiple kid souls in one body)

So… Dazzle isn’t only Evelyn… but all of the kids :T

Huey, Howie, Jamie, James, and Jackie. All 6 of em

And they didn’t realize this until after Moon did his scan & made Dazzle (specifically Evelyn) a body, so they still had to put all of them into that one body as Moon had to then make 5 more bodies.

…so that does lead to Strayed!AU Sun trying to be a Father of 6-

But yeah I still haven’t designed them all yet, since I don’t know much about those other kids yet, except for the occasional info from the Eclipse and Puppet show…

But here’s kinda what I got so far (for when they get separate bodies btw):

Evelyn’s body is still tiny deer

Howie’s a fox (because he was close to Foxy in EAPS I’m pretty sure)

and I’m still stumped on the rest of the kids, because I’ve been trying to use the LAES July 16th Video (around the 12 min mark), the SAMS July 16th Vid w/ Dazzle (around 7:12?) and some videos on EAPS to figure out each kid that was close with an animatronic, but I keep getting confused

Cus I think James might’ve been close with Monty, and I think Jamie was close with Lefty? But I wanted to make them similar animals cus they’re twins (according to SAMS Sun) and idk if an alligator is close enough to a bear and then also I can’t find stuff about Huey and Jackie on EAPS, and also Sun never mentions Jackie on SAMS if I heard him correctly? He mentions Jackie’s name on LAES when he lists the names, but on SAMS I heard him say ‘Kid’ and use ‘he’, so if Jackie was called Kid and was a boy then okay, but other than that I couldn’t find any Jackie info, and then I also just couldn’t find stuff about Huey either? And then I think Howie was the one close with Foxy so I made him a fox, which I feel like fits him being quiet, and Evelyn’s obviously a deer.

But yeah I had that idea, but now I’ve just put myself in confusion…

THE LITTLE LEGENDS

This is a blog for sharing and spreading love for the smaller Zelda games in the fandom!

For everyone crying over Spirit Tracks being forgotten, to people who wish someone else remembered the struggle to find a fourth player for Four Swords or sobbing at the end of online co-op for Tri Force Heroes – this is a home to join others in that love. Mainline and third-party Zelda games are all included!

The criteria for which Zelda games count as “small” is hard to quantify. To make things easier, we went by the numbers posted to Archive of Our Own, which has the option to disambiguate which game you’re writing for and is the current best-known fanfiction site. From there, we removed some things to try and narrow it down to core game fics and picked everything that was under 1000 works.

The resulting list of Zelda games is as follows:

Some of this will be a case of poor tagging, and things winding up in the wrong place. (eg. Four Swords has 1200 entries, but upon removing all Four Swords Adventures or Manga story tags it reduces to 359.) Others may not be here at all because nobody has posted it under it’s own name vs a related game or “& Related Fandoms.”

While this means these numbers are not absolute, they still represent the problem: it’s hard to find content for your favourite games if it's in the list above, and we want to fix that!

WHAT DOES THAT ENTAIL?

The event we’re planning is very chill, very low-stakes way of building up interest and knowledge, and then collecting and sharing fanworks produced.

The event month will be AUGUST, 2024.

Every few days in August we’ll make a post for each game on the list (and any bonus games that were highlighted alongside the main ones), which people can reblog with a link to the fanwork they created! You can also make your own posts and tag the blog plus the game of the day but we cannot promise to see and reblog everything.

In the lead-up to August, we will be doing round-up posts for each of the above games.

Some will be doubled up and treated as “bonuses” due to their small pool of fans (CDI, the Cartoon), and if there are some we don’t know about we may take them on as suggestions!

Each of these initial game posts will include basic stats about the game: when they were released, on what hardware, where you can find them now, and what their story was. It will also include links to a walkthrough or two, for those without access to the necessary hardware.

The purpose of these posts is to be shared!

Reblog them with your favourite artwork, current fanworks you love and adore, your favourite AU they’re featured in! Share the lore you wish everyone knew, and the characters who get forgotten!

Share prompts you’ve never gotten around to using, or ones you don’t feel competent to handle!

Do not feel bad about doing this! Every exchange or event I’ve been in, people desperately wanted prompts and ideas to spark their own imagination!

The goal is for people to learn more about games that they may have never heard of before, or not had the time or ability to engage with in full on their own. And from there we can push up those numbers on AO3 for everyone to enjoy!

Summer camp AU, part 16!!

Every Sunday, a movie night was held by the seating area. There was a small stage, on the wall hung a plain white sheet where a projector was positioned to play whatever movie had gotten picked.

Also every Sunday morning, a camp counsellor was picked at random to choose what movie was going to get put on. Regulus did not know this.

So when James had walked up to him and asked him a question, he answered honestly within seconds.

"Reggie." He spoke quickly as he glanced down at Regulus, who was sat on the floor with his back against his bed, a book in hand that he'd placed to the side. James shrugged and slid down to the floor to sit rather close to Regulus for his heart to manage.

"James." He greeted.

Honestly, he was quite used to calling the older boy by his last name, but he loves the look James gets on his face when he uses his first. A light sparks in his eyes, he bites his lip, clearly trying to tone down his smile, but Regulus doesn't mind. He would devour that smile, he would cherish it and remember it in years to come, because to be blessed by that smile just about makes his broken heart heal.

"James?" He repeated with a smirk playing on his lips as the brunette just started at him with an awe struck face for a moment.

"Hm?"

He nodded his head slowly with a raise of his eyebrow, gesturing to James to finally say what he came to say.

Seemingly a light switched back on in his head while he realised he'd just sort of... stared for a moment. "Oh!" He coughed loudly. "Right.. What's your favourite movie?"

"My favourite movie?"

"Uh-huh."

"Pride and prejudice." He answered in thought, looking back at James who was readying himself to get up, probably to leave. Regulus didn't quite want him to leave yet, it was a bit odd, and very abrupt. Two very words that have come to describe James in the time he's known him, odd, abrupt, but oh so very sweet. Not to forget, fit. "Wait-" He grabbed the older boys arm, his bare, tan, extremely toned arms, Regulus swore he could feel the many muscles shifting under his soft touch. "Why?"

A small shrug, followed by a flick of his eye to where their skin touched, Regulus was quick to pull away and shuffle his hand to play with his bracelets. "'M just curious." He stood with a smile and squeeze to Regulus' shoulder. "I've got to go..." He trailed off as he sped up his pace, making a beeline to the door, all he gave Regulus was a wink as his messy dark hair disappeared out of t he door.

What the fuck?

Later that night, he received a text through from Pandora, letting him know about the movie night, and that her and the others would meet him there. He sent off a quick 'ok' message in return, yes he's a dry texter, he acts like that in real life too, deal with it. 

Making his way over to where the film was playing, he spotted a few blankets and cushions thrown across the grass near the back of the group. He headed towards that, there's more space and a certain lack of noise far back so that was definitely preferable.

According to Pandora, the movie was to start in about ten minutes, so he just hoped that his lot got here soon so he wasn't sat looking lonely for the next few minutes.

He actually wasn't sat alone for that long, thanks to the warmth of James Potter sitting down next to him. The boy placed down a bag of popcorn and a few cans of drink, he stuck his tongue out in concentration as he tried to balance the cans on the bumpy ground, smiling to himself when he managed to get them to stay put.

"Hi?" Regulus questioned.

"Hi." James looked up at his face, a satisfied tone settling in his eyes.

"Why aren't you with your friends?" He guided his eyesight over to where Sirius and some of the others sat.

"I wanted to sit with you." Kicking his legs out, James leant back on his hands, Regulus had to know if he was doing it on purpose because his shirt rolled up ever so slightly, revealing a strip of skin right above his v-line.

From the corner of his eye, he spotted Pandora walk towards them, the rest of his friends in tow, before she stopped abruptly, winked at him, and shuffled everyone away to somewhere else to sit. Well that was anything but discreet.

Huffing out a sigh, Regulus dragged his head back to face James, who had now picked up the bag of popcorn and was failing miserably to toss them into his mouth. Regulus decided to just watch and internally make fun of him as he threw the food anywhere but his mouth, missing ever single time. He let out a chuckle, rolling his eyes and tucking his lips away into a mocking smile as James looked over at him.

"Stop judging me!" He pointed, putting the bag down.

"I'm not judging you!" Regulus released an offended gasp, folding his arms and unfolding them quickly to hide his smile behind the sleeve of his shirt.

"You are, you're doing that cute thing when you hide your face."

Removing his hand, Regulus opened his mouth. "I-"

Cute.

Cute?

"Cute?" The raven haired boy found himself saying aloud.

Regulus saw the exact moment James' face froze, his sudden smoothness whisked away and replaced with the darkening of his cheeks and the widening of his dark pupils. Regulus finally broke him.

He spoke something inaudible under his breath before pointing towards the projector with a loud throaty cough. "Movies starting."

Pride and Prejudice.

Apparently James had gone and made sure his favourite movie was played, according to a text from Barty he'd asked what Regulus' preferred flavour of popcorn was, and his very favourite drinks.

That's not normal, is it?

James was still sat innocently behind him, tossing popcorn over his shoulder, into his eye, and now at Regulus to try and catch his attention, it worked eventually, by about the fifth try. He turned around, blinking up at James through his thick eyelashes. He didn't quite know what to do with how he looked in the moonlight, perfection.

“Have you managed to do it yet?” Regulus sighed out.

“No, but-”

Before James could finish, Regulus reached over to grab a handful of popcorn, throwing it in the older boys face while he kept his mouth open to speak. He abruptly closed his lips and swallowed the food Regulus had just practically shoved at him, Regulus feeling a small smile form at each corner of his mouth.

“There you go.”

Now, Regulus became aware of how close they were, hands brushing together, faces almost touching, eyes flicking everywhere over each boys face, hair blowing in the wind, the sound of the movie mumbling in the background, the only thing Regulus could hear or focus on was the hitch of James’ breath as his eyes flicked downwards towards his lips.

They stayed like that for a moment, consumed in each other, leaning forward every few seconds until a loud yell in the direction of Sirius echoed through the two boys. The both of them twisted their necks to look away, Regulus falling back into his previous spot and his hand suddenly cold from the lack of heat James managed to pass onto him from the soft touch of his fingers.

They stayed silent for the rest of the night.

Zombie Apocalypse AU Masterpost

On a planet plagued by harsh weather and the undead, abandoned by those who survived the initial upheaval, somebody from the Hermit's group was bound to be lost to the storm eventually. Nestled deep in the wilderness, in the confines of an abandoned saw mill, Cleo and Bdubs mourn the death of their closest friend. Meanwhile, Etho is alive and gradually entangling himself into a less than ideal situation.

So I have a TSAMS AU idea. I don't really have a name. I'm thinking The 17th (cuz it takes place directly after July 16th).

Basically, one of the victims of July 16th actually survived but their life has not gotten better. They lost a sibling in the incident, their mother because of the incident, gained multiple scars, and now lives with their aunt who is rarely around. Because of this, the child wants to take revenge on Sun for what happened.

First, they need to gather more information about the animatronics. They doesn't remember much before the incident! This is where they find out it was Bloodmoon and Eclipse who did it. The child starts having nightmares of the both of them. Now, because the child only overheard people talking shit about them and found some small documents, the child's mind doesn't have much to go off of. So, the child made Eclipse look like some kind of god since he was described as a egomaniac. Bloodmoon as some type of creature since he is described as a monster.

The more information he learns, the worse it gets. With each piece of info, their designs turn creepier. The nightmares turn into Hypnopompic and Hypnagogic (going to sleep or waking up) hallucinations from lack of sleep. Soon, into full blown hallucinations (fully awake). This is where the kid tries to in act revenge. They've had enough of this torment.

I don't know where to take if from here. There's kinda two ways this can go, good and bad ending. Good Ending, Bloodmoon is already dead like in canon and Eclipse has redeemed. The kid still cannot forgive Eclipse, he barely forgave Sun. But, its better than the bad ending. Bad ending, Bloodmoon IS alive and NOT happy with this. Bloodmoon would try and kill the kid, meaning they have to survive the nightmare Bloodmoon and the actual Bloodmoon. Though, I'm thinking Eclipse will feel guilt and try to help the poor kid.

Anyways, here are some designs I made. BTW, this might change cuz I had of to draw this quickly and probably messed up a lot. Also, I'm thinking on the kid being Jamie and that they wear a mask to hide their identity.

Here are the prompts. Thank you to everyone who contributed ideas to this! The list will be written down below the cut with some ideas for those who want a little elaboration, a little help brainstorming, or simply understand how loosely prompts can be interperted!

Remember— these are just ideas to help with brainstorming, you are not limited to interpreting the prompts in just these ways. 

Family: You could choose to interpret this as being in relation family members (canon or head cannoned) for a scenario like meeting the in-laws; or them building one of their own (with pets, fan kids, v3 kid AUs, etc). Another angle could be a reflection on their own childhoods, with a focus on their family life/dynamics to tie it back to the prompt.

Dates: Quite a few options to go with, off the top of my head: first dates, blind dates, double/group date, fake dating, or even a study date lol. This could also be interpreted in the sense of important dates like birthdays, anniversary, etc.

Promise: This one might be a tad bit easier on the writers since all you'd need to really do to meet the prompt is throw in one 'promise between men', but you can definetly get creative with it. You could go a more canon route of 'I'll build your house bro' or 'We'll get out of the killing game alive' to anything else you could think of, big or small— perhaps even broken promises (as serious or silly as you'd like, e.g. 'you promised you'd stop speeding')

Sickness: Just a few ideas besides a literal cold— lovesickness (figurative or more literal like a hanahaki AU), a despair disease scenario, or a mental health day.

Roleswap: Anything that generally swaps the canon role would apply here. So Protagonist AUs, Mastermind AU, Survivor/Future Foundation AUs would all be applicable here. Remnants of Despair AUs may also apply, see the elaboration given in the Talentswap section.

Seasons: Take this as liberally as you'd like. Focus on one season or all; focus on seasonal activities like going to the beach, a seasonal school vacation; or a seasonal holiday/festival, just to offer a few different ways you could try and meet this prompt. 

Competition: With how competitive these two are, hopefully this won't end being too restrictive. Be this between the two of them, one rooting for the other for sports/other extracurricular activities, or a double date scenario with someone as competitively spirited. You could also stick to more canon moments for reference like the Sauna Scene or the race between Mondo and Daiya.

Future: You could do something with Futuristic themes like cyborgs/androids/etc. Or more broadly approach the prompt with discussions of the future (v3 talentplan style), or in settings where they're older (be that 30 or 80, however you wish to interpert it). 

Talentswaps: The difference from the roleswap Is that the former implies the talent isn't changed, just the role within the story. A talentswap may change several factors, but most notably the talent. So whether you're swapping just the talents between the THH cast or swapping game premises as well (e.g. v3 au with SHSL Inventor Oowada), all of that would be better suited here. Remnants of Despair AUs could go here if it's a talent swap that includes SDR2's general premise, but if the talents were to remain the same AND the concept to be (for example) that Junko chose Class 78 over 77 to brainwash, then that could fall under a Roleswap instead.

Gifts: This should hopefully be easier to achieve as a prompt, but this could be around any kind of celebration involving gifting (birthdays, holidays, etc.), or just a general occasion of wanting to get a gift. Maybe focusing on having difficulty with finding a present, etc.

Confessions: This could be anything from a love confession, or a completely innocuous thing like— oops, I’m the asshole that has been in your parking spot bc I’m dyslexic and thought it was mine meet cute(?). Perhaps it could be one of them receiving a love confession and the reaction around it.

Soulmates: Since I know there are quite a few ideas people have come up with over the years for soulmate AUs, I think this one should also not be too difficult (hopefully).

You could also go more straightforward with red string of fate concepts for soulmates as well, or just the idea of soulmates, not necessarily a soulmate AU if none speak to you!
