Tive um date com a Mônica, conheci ela no Tinder, trocamos contato e não paramos de nos falar mais. Ficamos juntos das 17h às 00h, fomos na feirinha da Osório e comemos pastel e crepe, bebemos caldo de cana com limão. Andamos mais um pouco e fomos pro Estação, lá compramos meu moletom, bebemos Bubblemix e também fomos no cantinho da Julieta: uma pequena salinha onde qualquer pessoa de qualquer idade pode entrar e escrever em post it e colá-los na parede. Lê-mos vários juntos, tinha uns fofos, uns engraçados, umas declarações, umas mensagens universais e etc. Num momento ela escreveu um e colou e eu não vi, ela brincou que eu não acharia o dela, porque tinha vários colados. Procurei e achei: num post it laranjado tava escrito "Bernardo + Mônica" e tinha corações contornando o quadrado do papel. Aí dividimos um halls de cereja. Fomos pro terminal dela e ficamos um tempo sentados e conversando. Jurava que ela me beijaria enquanto eu tava com aquele croissant de chocolate. Certo momento fizemos uma brincadeira sobre nossa altura e ela falava que a cintura dela era alta, ela ria e pediu pra eu colocar e mão e sentir a cintura dela, fiz isso e corei, tinha achado muito gostoso segurar ela pela cintura! Depois fui embora primeiro, mas antes demos 2 selinhos ainda com o halls na boca. Foi o melhor dia desse ano!

For Mexican-born and Tokyo-residing illustrator Julieta Colás, the value of illustration rides much deeper. During her formative years in Monterrey, Julieta suffered from harassment and rejection at the hands of her classmates, leading to an affinity for animated characters, and a desire to create and share animated characters with lonely and disadvantaged children, giving them a swath of new friends to call their own.
