Vivian "Via" Camille Claire Mikaelson

Vivian is the only daughter of Kol Mikaelson and Davina Claire

She is vampire witch hybrid aka a heretic

Vivian prefers to be called Via or Viv

Via takes after both her parents in appearance, and she has her mother's determination and her father's mischief side

Via is a free spirit and tends to march to the beat of her own drum

Via is more in tune with her witch side, and both her parents made sure that she was well educated in her magic along with her aunt Freya

She likes her vampire side too but doesn't use that side all that often

Similar to the Bennett daughters, she, too, is curious about magic and its limitations. So she does plenty of research and experiments

Loves all her cousins with a passion

Loves both her parents and they are soft but a little strict with Via

Attends the Salvatore boarding school and helps out with the Witches and Warlocks along with the hybrids

Loves poetry and playing piano and the harp

Pretty much like Vincent said, Nik has issues (and when I say issues, I do mean ISSUES)

Nikolas is often called Nik or Nicky

He has a deep love and respect for both his mothers and father

Like his cousin Ronnie, he also has a headache trying to figure out his family tree

He is a tribrid like his cousin Hope and Henrik

He tries to balance all three parts of himself and also tries to be a good big brother to his little sister

His wolf form is dark brown

His mother Keelin helps him with his wolf side, his mom Freya and dad Vincent help him with his vampire side and witch side

He thinks he and his cousins are going to be great leaders and successful, or they are going to bring everything downhill

He is a bit pessimistic

He is a loner

He is your typical big brother, so he is a bit of a jerk

When a big bad shows up, he will stand to the side, thinking very hard if he should join his family or turn the other direction (he helps them in the end)

Hope babysat him when he was a baby

He and Hope are very close along with Clara

He likes to play the violin and trumpet

He makes his own grimoire and his own experiments

He loves his family and would do anything for them

The Fete

The earliest recording we have of John singing. Not strictly a Beatles recording, but it's certainly relevant.

This was recorded at Woolton Garden Fete on the day John and Paul officially met for the first time. (There are tantalizing hints that it wasn't the first time they met, but that's for another blog).

John was 16 when this was recorded.

Rod Davies - Banjo

Pete Shotton - Washboard

Len Gary - Tea Chest Bass

It's very cool to have any recording from that day and is pretty much a fluke that a fan would bring a recording device at all. They weren't exactly small.

Apparently, the entire set was recorded, but hasn't been released. Maybe it will be in the future. Who knows.

It was recorded in 1926, but the most famous version was

As you can see, John changed it quite a lot. He made it more rock and gave it that Lennon flare. The Quarrymen would have absolutely rather done that version as seen here

but John was going to make it Rock n' Roll anyway.

This is Elvis' version of the second song. It's not originally Elvis of course, but this is what John was probably basing his version on.

To be honest, John's version doesn't sound like either of these. As usual, John added his own thing and made the song all his own.

The Milagro Beanfield War (1988). The accidental breakdown of an irrigation valve launches a hot confrontation between the mainly Latino farmers in a tiny New Mexico town and the real estate developers and politicians determined to acquire their land for a golf resort.

This is a weird little one. A David vs Goliath story with the residents of a small town in New Mexico left fighting off developers who'd turn the land into a golf resort. It's part Western, part class drama, part borderline-slapstick comedy, which makes it feel a little all over the place. It has its moments though, and there's some nice cinematography at points. 5/10.

It‘s a pity that in 1991 fanfiction wasn‘t this self-evident as it is today. I love all those talented and brave writers that let us enjoy their amazing works about our favorite movies, tv series and so on.

And I would bet I could have found hundreds of stories about at least two specific episodes of Matlock! Yes, I really mean that old tv series of a grey haired lawyer starring Andy Griffith.

Episodes 1 and 2 of season 6 are full of possibilities for lovely romantic stories, smutty ones and all in between. I just love Matlock with his crush Julie March flirting along and hinting what they also could do 😄

Unfortunately there is not much to find in the world wide web and that really is a pity. So many lost opportunities!

So, now I got this out of my head and will dream along in my own, but not that talented head…

George took a deep breath of the cool night air of Mourmelon, appreciating, for once, the quiet of the evening against the backdrop of the loud, boisterous sounds of the canteen. Everyone was catching up on several months of drinking and spirits were high. Where's George, they'd all be saying in a minute. Where's jolly old Saint Luz?

Fellas, I need a minute. Jolly old Saint Luz is jollied out.

She should have been out here already, waiting for him in the dark, appreciating the silence the same way he appreciated the noise of a crowded bar. A half-drunk pint and a cigarette in her hands, just sitting and watching the night.

The door opened, sound and light spilling onto the street. George didn't look up. And then a voice, familiar as air and warm as summer - "What are you doing out here by yourself?"

George sniffed and looked down into his beer, cigarette loose in his hand, the weight of the memory almost too heavy to bear. "Waiting for you."

An unfamiliar voice spoke - deeper and darker than then one he'd heard before. "You talking to someone, buddy?"

"No," George said sadly, looking out at the night and the alley that no one was standing in, and the crates on which no friends were sitting, and the voices that only he could hear, his vision muddied by tears. "Just myself."
