I'm so excited to watch Christmas calendars this year

Do you have any favorites or recommendations? 😊💖

Oh God, so many– *Goes off.*

I've always been a huge sucker for Christmas stuff, and every year, I watch 2-4 Christmas calendars – ones I haven't watched before, mostly. I've watched a few Swedish and Norwegian ones, but mostly Danish ones, so those are the ones I'll focus on (my Swedish mutual recommended some Swedish ones here).

First of all, I have to recommend Pyrus. It's a four season Christmas calendar about the nisser living in the Danish National Archives. Pyrus is a young nisse who's learning to be an archive nisse, and the humans working at the archive are also always up to something. It's not only fun, but also very educational – it was the show that taught me about Santa Claus' origins, for example. Seasons 1-3 are best (2 is the bestest of the best). Season 1 is called Alletiders Jul, season 2 is Alletiders Nisse, season 3 is Alletiders Julemand, and season 4 is Alletiders Eventyr. There's a movie too, but it's not worth watching. There's a lot of songs, and they're really good. Some of the special effects look dated, but it was very new when they were made. You need a subscription to TV2 to watch whichever one they choose to stream this year (it's season 1 this year), or a dvd set, though, so it's a little difficult to watch it.

Second one I'll recommend isn't really one I love that much, but it's iconic. Everyone quotes it in Denmark. The Julekalender (yes, that's the name) is about three nisser looking for the key to the spilledåse to save Gammel Nok. It's satirical and more for adults, and all roles are played by De Nattergale, a Danish band. The nisse characters speak a mix of English and Danish, and the humans mostly speak in a West Jutland dialect. It's another TV2 production, but it has been available every year for streaming around Christmas since 2017, because it's such a classic.

This next one is controversial, but I really liked it. Den Anden Verden from 2016 isn't the most Christmas, but the sets and costuming is amazing. It's about a pair of sisters, where one discovers that she can go to a fairy tale world when she is on the edge of death. Huge tw for suicide attempts/suicidal ideations. I love it for the bond between the sisters and the fairy tales they tell, but I know a lot of people thought it was too adult and didn't have enough Christmas in it. It's the first DR production, so as long as you're on a VPN for Denmark, you can stream it on dr.dk.

Okay, final two, even though I'm sure you're already overwhelmed.

Julestjerner, which marks the end of the musical Christmas calendars, is about a family moving out of the big city, where they end up putting up a Christmas show. There's also nisser, but they're not from where you think. The characters in it are a bit exaggerated, but it's very nice. And it has the best cello solo ever. This one is also on DR.

I'm a sucker for a period piece, and that's why I must recommend last year's Julehjertets Hemmelighed. It takes place in the 1800s, and is about Karen who is turning 13, which means she will no longer be able to see her best friend, the nisse Rumle. They perform a ritual, but then everything at the farm she works at starts going wrong. It's a good mix of Christmas and some darker elements for older viewers. Another DR production.

Honorable mentions: Jesus og Josefine, Jul i Valhal, Nissebanden (3 seasons), Tinka (3 seasons), Bamses julerejse, Yallahrup Færgeby, Torvet, and Jul i Gammelby (this one I'm going to watch for the first time this year). Honorable Swedish mention: Storm på lugna gatan (Danish title: Storm på Stillevænget). Honorable Norwegian mention: Snøfall (Danish title: Snefald).

There's also the ones for 2023, but I will stop now.

He tries out a personal ski trainer app and meets the hot ski trainer Isak Valtersen. Even struggles to focus only on the training. On the cabin trip, when Even arrives early, a surprise guest turns up and a snowstorm threatens to snow them both in. Who knows what happens next?

Isak hates Christmas, having lots of bad memories attached to the holiday. Even on the other hand loves Christmas, but because of an appendix removal and a closed off mountain pass, he never gets home for Christmas. Even lives and goes to school a few hours away from Nissen, so there’s a lot of commuting for Isak to see his boyfriend. But what happens when Even says he moving? And then he shows up at Nissen a few weeks later, to start school?Only thing... Isak isn’t out, yet. And Even wasn’t ever told that his boyfriend was still in the closet.

De generelle tendensene – slik er nordmennene på soverommet

Norges mest sexy kommune og de mest sexy navn

Årets mest sexy kommune er Lillehammer. Trondheim er til gjengjeld stedet hvor det kjøpes mest kinky sexleketøy, mens Sarpsborg er kommunen hvor handelen er minst.

De personene som har gjort flest transaksjoner har navnene Kenneth og Veronica

Dermed kan disse to pryde seg med å ha Norges mest sexy navn. Her har man målt på hvem som kjøper mest sexleketøy, undertøy og glidekrem ut fra mer enn 60.000 ordrer i webshoppen.

Det viser seg også at Kenneth handler mer enn Veronica. Det er nemlig menn som har handlet aller mest sexeletøy i 2017 sammenlignet med kvinnene.

Årets produkttrender

Det er altså mennene som har handlet mest. Produktet flest menn har kjøpt er onaniproduktet Autoblow 2.

Kvinner handler også onaniprodukter til seg selv – og det mest populære kjøpet for henne er den lille men effektive Rocks Off 120mm klitorisvibratoren.

Kvinnene er generelt bedre til å handle til seg selv når de shopper. 55% av kvinnene kjøper onaniprodukter til seg selv, mens kun 27% av menn gjør det samme. Mennene er de som er best til å overraske sin partner med.

Favoritten hos parene har klart vært Sinfuls julekalender, som kun er solgt i oktober og november. Denne setter primært fokus på intimitet og det sensuelle i parforholdet gjennom hele desember måned.

Det er solgt over 9,808 liter glidemiddel – så mye at det kan fylles 39 boblebad.

Det er solgt 14,931 Tenga onani- og vibratoregg, hvilket tilsvarer hele 654 økologiske høner sin produksjon av egg på én måned.

Videre har Sinful solgt over 6.043 meter dildoer – svarende til 2,5 så høyt som Galdhøpiggen.

Magisk juleeventyr

Imens årets julekalender på TV2 Tinka og Kongespillet, løber hen over skærmen, kan du også læse om første gang, vi mødte Tinka. Det gjorde vi i 2017 i julekalenderen Tinka´s juleeventyr. Nu er historien bag udkommet i en kalenderbog med 24 kapitler.

Tinka er ikke som de andre nisser. Hun forstår ikke hvorfor og i sin søgen efter svar, drager hun ud på en farlig mission. I menneskeverdenen møder hun Lasse, der er lidt af en ballademager. Sammen forsøger de at opklare gåden om nissernes tabte magi og finde ud af hvorfor, mennesker og nisser har levet adskilt i 100 år. Kronprins Fileas vil gøre alt for at overtage magten fra sin far og samtidig fjerne Tinka fra nissernes rige. Hun må for alt i verden ikke afsløre hans hemmelighed 

Tinkas juleeventyr er også som bog et vaskeægte juleeventyr. Nisser, julestemning, familie, venner, mysterier og hemmeligheder er blandet godt sammen til en stor godtepose med 24 lækre stykker. Et til hver dag af december. Det er det rene guf.

Lookfantastic advent calender 2017 - Beauty in wonderland. Jeg har købt denne julekalender fra lookfantastic og jeg glæder mig rigtig meget, til at åbne den til december. Den kommer i en rigtig pæn og eventyrlig indpakning, med skuffer hvor de små pakker ligger i. I julekalenderen er der 9 full size produkter og 16 deluxe sample sizes. Der er for over 2400 kr i alt i julekalenderen.

Aldous Harding - Party -

Du skal lete lenge, og om ikke forgjeves, for å finne en vokalist med like mye spenn i stemmen som Aldous Harding. Albumet Party beveger seg fra tradisjonell folk til en gothisk minimalisme, som jeg ikke har hørt siden The Cranes. I låta Party, så føles det faktisk ut som at Alison Shaw har drømt seg helt inn i sjela til Aldous Harding. Albumet er usedvanlig harmonisk og på grensen til overjordisk. Både stemmen og tekstene til Aldous Harding sitter godt planta i ryggmargen. Og det føles litt mindre ensomt, når det pludres om den uerstattelige følelsen av kraften ved det å være alene. Den uendelige kampen mot seg selv for å være en del av verden. Dette albumet er obligatorisk i hylla. Spinn!

Adventskalenderen i NRK – en gammel kjenning

Ikke et øye var tørt, da Selma endelig fant julenissen, sin egen bestefar i fjorårets julekalender i den fantastiske serien, “Snøfall“. En aventskalender-serie som ble meget godt mottatt, mye fordi Selma var i en litt spesiell situasjon, hun gav nemlig fosterbarn et ansikt. Det var dyktige Siri Skjeggedal (11, nå 12 år) som spilte Selma. For det er dessverre ingen nyhet i år, men dog en meget…

Flere skoler i landet erfarer at kalenderen kan være et positivt tilskudd til klassemiljøet.

Mobbeombud hyller humanitært engasjement Landets første mobbeombud, Bodil J. Houg, har ansvar for å ivareta elevers rett til et trygt og godt skolemiljø. Hun har lenge vært opptatt av hvordan engasjement for andre kan bidra positivt:

– Jeg ser hvilken god effekt et humanitært engasjement kan gi klassene, og hvordan innsats for noe som er større enn oss selv, kan bidra til et bedre skolemiljø.

Lærere forteller at det skjer noe sosialt godt i klassene når alle elevene er sammen om en solidarisk sak, og de har et felles mål, sier ansvarlig for skole- og barnehager hos SOS-barnebyer, Rikke Soligard.

– De har fine samtaler, gode diskusjoner og engasjerte elever som resultat av kalenderen. På en rekke skoler har kalenderen blitt tradisjon.

Kalender med læring og inspirasjon Hver skolemorgen i adventstiden får elevene en ny historie fra SOS-barnebyers arbeid rundt i verden. Historiene blir fortalt gjennom kortfilmer som ligger i digitale luker. Her finner man også engasjerende undervisningsmateriell som bygger opp under kunnskapsmål i læreplanen. Det legges opp til refleksjon, samtaler og rebusoppgaver i etterkant av fremvisningen. I tillegg gjør elvene små julejobber hjemme som de får penger for, og gir inntekten går til SOS-barnebyer og barn uten omsorg.

– Hvis elevenes innsats for andre barn både kan gi et bedre klassemiljø her hjemme og bedre omsorg der ute, så er det helt fantastisk. Barn er så flotte, og de vil gjerne bidra til at andre barn får det bra. Å delta i Omvendt Julekalender er en måte å gjøre det på nå i adventstiden, forteller Soligard.

Det er opp til klasse- og skoleledelsen å melde elevene på. Så langt er ca. 600 skoler påmeldt.

Fakta:

– Omvendt Julekalender etablert i 2008.

– I 2016 deltok 67 530 elever over hele landet.

– 3,1 mill. kroner ble samlet inn i 2016.

– Pengene går til barn som er uten omsorg eller står i fare for å miste omsorg.

– Rundt 300 000 deltakelser fra elever over hele landet siden oppstart.
