Happy New Years!! This year was... rough and chaotic, especially in real life for me and it definitely reflects in the numbers. I think with chapters it's mostly due to the fact Midnight Beach's last few chapters were posted at the end of the year and I began UTM, WFMF, and OFL in 2023 while they were/are ongoing shows.

Mentally, emotionally, and physically, this year was a lot. I had many ups and downs, I suffered from kidney stones for nearly a whole week for the first time, I moved twice (once in 2023 and twice this year), I started uni and dropped out, I OFFICALLY officially became an adult at 20. It was a grueling year lmao but of course, I was happy to continue chatting with you guys and seeing what you guys thought about things.

Presumably, 2025 isn't going to be easy as I'll be going into the year STILL in the process of the second move and job hunting. My activity and motivation will continue fluctuating but thus is the burden of growing. Thank you to those who've stuck around for a while and a big welcome to new faces joining this ride for the new year! <3

Yes! Eventually I respond to all. It just takes me awhile before I do it in large batches lol

Oh god. For ones that are completed and posted, it's The Art of Seclusion. I have others that...will not have "happy" endings but they aren't finished or shared yet.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I have no clue. I haven't finished many outside of oneshots or series. It might depend on the reader. We'll see ;)

8. Do you get hate on your fic?

Not usually but it has happened. I had one person leave a review on AoS being very angry about my lack of warnings and promoting toxic relationships. They had a legit point about the warnings as I hadn't updated them in years despite the fic getting worse lol. I thanked them for pointing it out, updated my warnings and on my next chapter made a point of reminding my readers that the relationship wasn't healthy and not something to aim for. Never heard back lol.

9. Do you write smut?

Do I? 😃 You know it.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Not often, but yes. Caught in the Crossfire is a crossover with characters from multiple worlds coming into the SPN universe. It's Always Darkest Before the (Second) Dawn is on hiatus but it's a crossover between HP and Shadow and Bone.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes. Someone took Tammy Thompson Takes on the Upside Down and posted it as their own...only changing the name Tammy to Sammy 😂😂 I've also had fics being posted under my name on sites I didn't approve of. I had to contact the site directly to make them remove it.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes. Someone translated Famous Last Words into...Russian? It's on Ao3 too.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Yes! I love working with ppl to write. I consider myself basically cowriting a bunch of fics with @vixenofcourse (even if sometimes she doesn't agree) because she gives me ideas for it. I cowrote Caught in the Crossfire with friends of mine, mainly the one who wrote all of Kelly's povs. (fun fact, she doesn't write fanfic on her own but she wrote that lol)

14. What‘s your all-time favourite ship?

Me with everyone I love 😂 No, i have no idea. My ocs and their pairings.

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

No idea. Dialogue? Not sure what else... lol

DESCRIPTIONS. I find them the hardest....and don't ask me about describing my characters...

I don't speak any other language well enough for that. I don't mind it, but usually I just write in English and show they're speaking another language somehow. If I do write in another language, I try to have the translations clearly understood.

Summary: It's been three years since the attack that killed all of the Valyrians. Summary: After Yuuta’s admitted he has feelings for Eren, Eren is able to be confident with his own feelings that he’s been hiding away. Months later, now that he’s practically mastered flying, Eren asks Yuuta to try coming along with him.

Chapter 6: The Sun and The Stars

Shadow Curses.

When you fight them, an ominous tune begins to play. A grueling symphony that has you both fearful for your group and perplexed by the daunting harmony.

Shadow curses were more aggressive and stronger than the others. The regular curse spirits were simple mobs that you killed. Some of them range from different strengths and levels depending on where you are, but for the most part, they were just dirt off your shoulder. Sometimes you tried to run or avoid them because you didn’t want to deal with them.

There were also of course the curse bosses such as Jogo, Hanami, Dagon, Mahito, and Rika, but those were bosses.

Shadow curses were like the updated trash mobs you fight when you are getting to the more difficult part of the game. You try to avoid them just because you don’t want to use too many supplies and they are trickier to fight. More of an annoyance, until you learn Divine light. Then it’s easier.

You first come into contact with them one random blood moon and after that, it continues to persist throughout the game. You meet Priestest Utahime who helps you strengthen your light magic and teaches you the special move Divine light.

One thing that you are learning now is that shadow creatures consume dark magic to get their strength. You thought all of its power derived from Kenjaku or the blood moon. Now you realize this fight here is what gives it to them. The witches’ home is their feasting grounds. You could feel the abundance amount of energy flowing through the floors alone. The energy that courses through this place is insane. If you don’t do something…the monsters will get stronger and much too powerful for even you to handle. If that happens they will consume your pack. It was like a ticking time bomb. Your curse energy was the timer. Once that runs out…

Fuckity fuck- you rubbed at your throat, your voice growing hoarse from all the screaming. Your alphas still persisted as you began to drown in uncertainty.

One episode down and you are already dealing with high-level mobs. You thought all of this was going to be a cakewalk, you planned so carefully but you keep coming into contact with shit you shouldn’t be fighting so soon. Your light magic isn’t anywhere where it needs to be. You mainly used it to heal not fight. You didn’t think you would require it till later.

“It’ll be okay, don’t stress out.” Toji rubbed your back gently, sensing your discomfort.

“We will keep you safe.” Nanami added.

“I’m going to attack the barrier, there’s only so much it can handle, step back.” Sukuna rolled his shoulders as he took his true form, ready to charge.

That was a silly idea. “No Sukuna, you could hurt yourself.”

“That’s why I have you to heal me back up.” Sukuna got in a crouch, as the others pulled you aside to safety.

“Can we just wait a minute-“

“There’s no time-“

“We can take turns too if need be “

*BAM!*

There was a loud slam, followed by scuffing and shuffling as if someone was dragging themselves along the wall. Your eyes darted to Mai who struggles to get to you, a deep scowl on her face as she bores you with the most scornful expression. Her body looks bloodied and abused. Like she had a wild dance with rocks.

“You!” She hissed holding her gun up. “How are you doing this!?”

“It’s not us!” Gojo scoffed.

“Let me-“You put a hand upon Satoru and gave a look to your alphas before you rested your gaze on the beta. “Mai… those creatures are of the shadow realm, your magic can’t kill them and the witches are only feeding them, making them stronger.” You hold up your hand as it shines with white light, “I can fend them off Mai please-“

“This is a trick! To let you out!” Mai thrust her gun forward making your alphas growl and try to stand between you and a possible bullet.

You push them aside, “Mai! My betas are out there! I would do nothing to harm them! Do you understand?! And Nobara-Maki- and Todo! They are my friends! I don’t want to see any of them get hurt! You have to believe me!”

Mai’s hand trembled and you heard more screams- and then it was silenced with a loud crunch. That was another life… gone… you choked on a sob, “Mai! They can’t defend themselves! Please! There’s no time for this!”

“You’re lying!”

“I-it’s not me! If you don't let me out, they will all die fuck-“ You duck down to grab a sharp rock.

“What are you doing-“

You didn’t allow your alphas to stop you as cut your hand. Thrusting it out you offered it to Mai, “I will make a blood oath with my life-“

“The hell you will!” You gasped feeling Nanami snatch your wrist back, you didn’t mean to activate yandere Nanami but here you are, “Do you know what a blood oath is little girl?” He growled out rather upset with you. Your other alphas looked to share his sentiment.

A blood oath was more than a pinky promise. Think of it like a contract you cannot rip up. By the laws of nature, you will be held accountable.

“I-I don’t know what else to do!” You whined.

“I’ll make the blood oath.” Getou took the rock from you.

“No, me!” Gojo stepped forward.

“Enough!” Mai shouted at you all. “Just…just save them please…” She slid down the wall and with one last ounce of strength she tossed the key toward you.

Sukuna caught it with ease, turning it inward as he unlocked the gate.

“Don’t you ever do something so reckless again.” Nanami gave you a pointed look, not letting you go until you agreed.

“Yes sir…I’m sorry.” Pleased with your answer he released you. You stepped out and then pointed to Mai, “Can one of you carry her, I’m going to need to save as much of my light magic as possible.”

Sukuna shook his head, “She will slow us down.”

“Yes, we will remember her noble sacrifice.” Gojo saluted, “Thank you, Megan.”

You rolled your eyes, “Someone pick her up and let’s go!”

Tokyo Ghoul Re: Chapter 53 Dream

I love this chapter because it’s when the sword of damocles that has been hanging over the head of the characters for the entire series, finally comes crashing down. We see the mental breakdowns of three characters simultaneously. Shirazu realizes that he’s not going to be able to protect the rest of the squad right as he decides to give his life. Koori Ui sees the result of his “heroism” as a ghoul investigator, his partner that he cared about slaughtered in the worst way possible, which nearly gives him a breakdown that he can only save himself from by completely severing his emotions, and finally Haise realizing that everything about himself was just a sweet lie, a happy dream. 

Kimetsu no Yaiba Chapter 142: Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho

This chapter cements the foiling between Doma and Shinobu. Shinobu is rendered hollow after losing her family and everyone she loved and being unable to forgive or find any positive emotions in her anger. Shinobu lost her family, Doma never had one. Due to that happiness just seems like an empty, and hollow, impossible to achieve ideal for both of them. They’re both people who will never be happy, so it’s interesting to watch them try to poison each other. Especially in the case of Shinobu who imagines her loving, kind sister, verbally berating her for being weak, and telling her that she has to keep fighting back no matter what offering her little comfort on the brink of her death. They’re both very poisonous individuals, poisoned by the world around them, turning their fangs on each other.

Medaka Box Chapter 153: Life is Epic

This chapter is so great because it not only deals with suicidal feelings for those who feel they cannot connect with the world around them no matter what, it also calls out the kind of people who connect so hard with fiction and forget to feel for the people around them. It’s the most life affirming chapter in manga I’ve ever read. It’s nice to see the character get properaly addressed, that she may be right, life may be dull, life may be listless, life may be difficult and bleak and impossible. Yet, the main character says that in spite of all of that a person’s life doesn’t end that easily. There’s no such thing as a person who doesn’t matter when they die. Life continues from week to week, just like a weekly shonen jump serialization. 

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 76: Premature Death

The imagery, the writing, everything is so sharp and clear and completely unrelenting in depicting not only Geto’s inability to get over Riko’s death, but also his feelings of resentment what he feels is the people who called it. It’s a chapter about trauma, but instead of getting better, it sits in his stomach, gets worse, worse, and worse and the emotions are so sugly and dark but so well told that you find yourself hating the whole world right along with Geto. 

Attack on Titan Chapter 50: Scream

This is my favorite chapter because it has one of the most touching ove affirmations in all of manga. We see Eren completely break down, as everything he’s secretly feared about himself his entire life is confirmed. He’s never strong enough when he needs to be. He wasn’t strong enough to protect his mother. He wasn’t strong enough when Annie rampaged. Eren is constantly fighting against the feelings that he isn’t enough, that he hasn’t changed from that powerless child. Mikasa’s response is to tell him he doesn’t need to be strong. Because it was that small child who saved her, not by fighting an enemy, but by wrapping a scarf around her. Eren has always been enough for this one person. He doesn’t need to be any more for her. This is the chapter where she comes the closest to expressing it, for one beautiful moments of connection.
