I haven’t read all the 188 novels yet–and some, I need to reread coz I was just skimming them the first time–but so far, these two are my favorite couples <3

Song Juhan / He Gu (HanGu) from Years of Intoxication. YOI is my second 188 novel. Song Juhan suffering is just :chefkiss:. I’m translating it as well, so it has a special place in my heart.

Gong Yingxian / Ren Yi (GongRen) from Blazing Armor. Probably the sweetest / most wholesome couple in the entire 188 universe. Gong Yingxian is no scum gong at all. Heck, I wouldn’t even consider Blazing Armor as a dog blood novel. The firefighting aspect was written so well, it made me want to enroll in a firefighting crash course.

The European Union has decided to take action in response to potential cybersecurity incidents affecting European elections.

The NIS Cooperation Group, composed of representatives of EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, ENISA, established to strengthen cybersecurity across the Union, has updated its compendium on election cybersecurity.

“Reliability of the EU electoral processes depends on cyber secure infrastructures and on the integrity and availability of information. We must assess the new challenges, enhance preparedness and ensure the protection of our democracies,” said ENISA’s Executive Director, Juhan Lepassaar.

The “Compendium on Elections Cybersecurity and Resilience” warns that successful cyberattacks against one EU Member State could compromise entire parliamentary elections.

The disruption of the network and information systems underpinning the elections in one Member State, or even the perception of it, could impact vote counting and tabulation processes at national level and so delay notification of the names of the elected Members of Parliament, for example, affecting the proper functioning of the parliament, or even its democratic legitimacy.

In its 11th edition of the Threat Landscape, published in October 2023, ENISA highlighted the disruptive impacts of AI chatbots and AI-enabled manipulation of information on EU elections. “We need to be alerted to the potential misuse of artificial intelligence-powered chatbots in phishing attempts, information manipulation and cybercrime,” it said.

During the last decade, elections have become a frequent target of cyber attacks.

In Slovakia, two days before general elections in September 2023, a deepfake audio file which was presented as a conversation between Michal Šimečka, chairman of Progresívne Slovakia, PS, and Monika Tódová, a journalist, on how he will rig the elections, circulated on social networks. Šimečka’s pro-Western party then lost to Robert Fico’s populist pro-Russian party.

ENISA together with partners organised a cybersecurity exercise to test national and EU partners’ crisis plans and responses to potential cyber-security incidents affecting European elections.

Greece’s parliament passed a new law in February to establish a new National Cybersecurity Authority to organise a framework of strategies for managing and preventing cyberattacks. The new authority will be an upgrade of the General Directorate of Cybersecurity of the Ministry of Digital Governance, which will be its supervisor. It will consist of two General Directorates and will function as a National Certification Authority and as the National Coordination Center for Cyber Security.

BIRN in December last year reported that while Greece on paper has what it needs to tackle cyber attacks; in practice there is no compliance with the framework’s requirements and no serious investment in cyber-protection.

Masterlist

A/N: This is my new masterlist. I was going to just make a second masterlist but then I thought it would be a great idea to organize all my works and make tiny masterlists within this giant masterlist. So for example I have a masterlist linked in here just for my vav works titled “VAV Masterlist” depending on how much I’ve written for a certain group determines if they get their own masterlist. If there’s not a lot of pieces for a group or idol those pieces will be at the bottom. Also if I think I plan on writing for more of a certain group or idol they will get their own masterlist as well. The “Odds and Ends Masterlist” is for any edits I’ve made that aren’t moodboards or pieces that aren’t fanfics.

At the time I am putting this up unfortunately it is not complete as there are plenty of drafts that are not done. When I finish them they will be linked in the masterlist. Some things might change, I might decide  don’t want to continue to write on something so I will delete it from the list, the ones that don’t have links yet. Those I either have not started of have not finished. Another problem some links don’t exist when you click on them or they were there and then magically disappeared so I have to search for them again and reposted those :( I just checked my “odds and ends masterlist” and apparently that url does not exist so I will get it fixed it will just be awhile. I have to constantly go back and forth between desktop and mobile to find things and I’m just really so at trying to update the masterlist. Hoping I can get the links and things all fingered out and then I can just worry about writing the fics.

premise: quiet engineer he gu and arrogant celebrity song juhan have been fuckbuddies since their university days. he gu has secretly been in love with song juhan the whole time and stuck by him despite song juhan’s utter disregard for his feelings. eventually, he gu reaches his breaking point and song juhan is forced to confront the truth.

notes: let me just preface this by saying that i do not care for overdramatic (dog blood) stories at all so i’m definitely not the target audience for this AD. the main reason that i finished listening was bc of how hilarious the reactions from the other listeners were. 

song juhan is truly the worst kind of scum at the beginning of the AD and i laughed at all the comments disparaging him (with plenty of swear words and puking emojis). the part where he gu finally breaks up with him in the middle was so funny too bc everyone in the comments was celebrating and tossing flower emojis as if the AD had finished. it was also really funny seeing the listeners argue about whether song juhan was worth forgiving - most people had a change of heart after seeing the lengths song juhan went to to win back he gu, but some (like me), felt that he gu was better off finding another man.

jokes aside though, i did like the voice actors’ performance a lot and the editing/background music was pretty good for a freebie - the story was just far too unrealistic and overdramatic for my tastes. if dog blood is your cup of tea though, i think this would be a great listen but if it’s not, i’d only recommend listening with the danmu on to join the peanut gallery.
