Nah bc bahmee working herself to the bone to take care of Tae and make him care for her and that man just straight up being indifferent, taking her for granted and then suddenly missing her when he noticed she did everything for her is so real.
Some people think that only big gestures count and every day domesticity is just a given and no effort is required and then act all surprised when the person doing the effort is unhappy.
Some people also think that by loving someone who is indifferent with all their heart they will stop that behavior. It's not like that.
This is why also Bahmee (and many girls who have only dated men) melt so easily when dating other girls, because the energy is matched. Bare minimum is not in hell anymore.
I'm not saying Tae is a bad person, I'm just saying this dynamic is very real and I love this show because it's depicting shit that actually happens
Also having characters be openly gay or bi and retiring that old 'I am straight but I like you' stuff is healing to me. Yes self discovery journeys are interesting but it's not all there is. Telling the other stories is great, it's lovely.
Also did we noticed how the Bahmee script is something that happens a lot in BL but not that it was flipped onto a woman the reaction was harsher? This show has really nice and complex characters and it knows stuff. I would bet my liver that these kind of productions are improving because queer people are getting involved in BL.
Idk dude, I'm just so happy this show exists.

I feel bad for tae but he always ends up neglecting bahmee due to work so it makes sense why she starts to develop feelings for judy

I think people are being overly critical of Judy and Bahmee’s relationship. Their relationship is not as different from Jane and Ryan’s as people are making it out to be
I think people in fandom in general, especially the Asian ql fandom, are more highly critical of any problematic aspects a wlw relationship might have vs mlm relationships. There are plenty of bl dramas with issues that go way farther than hr violations that are insanely popular.

I didn't realise that Bahmee and Judy was getting some backlash I know that "cheating" isn't for everyone but I mean I feel like it is so much more than that they have established that Bahmee has been with Tae since highschool and she doesn't really have a personality outside of her relationship with him, through the internship and her relationship with Judy she is figuring herself out and feeling things that she never felt before I know that cheating in shows can feel sometimes cheap but I think it has been done well in this

I'm a little late to this ship and I'm not hip with the fandom, so my stuff may be reiterated, bare with.
The chemistry between Bahmee and Judy is so good. I love an office romance, an age gap and a mentor-mentee trope in dramas. If it was real life, no go. Drama? Go go. Apparently, from what little I saw, people were upset about the relationship depiction. As if it was real life. But that's by the by.
I didnt expect Bahmee to jump immediately back with Tae after they had an amiable break up, I actually didn't expect them to break up in the previous episode. I thought they would work through their issues and realize they are toxicly codependent and then break up.
I also thought they would leave Bahmee solo for a bit to get a handle on what she wants, because she tailors her life to people she's dating. And I knew people like this who never grew out of it. It's not a way to live.
Before I learned there were only twelve episodes, I assumed they would throw Tae and Bahmee back together to show them trying and failing and growing out of each other. Tae realizing his avoidant behavior hurts people he loves and so he becomes more open. Bahmee realizing she can't steep herself in someone else's life to give her life purpose and use as an excuse to run from whatever she doesn't want to deal with within herself.
And then there's Judy. Older, practical, emotionally mature, thoughtful to a fault, charismatic, throws herself fully into work because she's avoiding working on her personal life, Judy.
Judy gives Bahmee attention, consideration, expectations to rise to and praise. Most of the stuff Bahmee wants from Tae, Judy gives. Does Judy get a little too considerate? Yeah. But that's all Judy knows how to do. Because she's work obsessed and is always going out of her way for clients and treats people she's interested in the same. She doesn't understand how being too considerate is a bad thing.
The pillow washing scene would've been completely different if Bahmee didn't have a negative feeling towards it. Because that's just Judy. It's a habit to be doing things for others. Similar to Bahmee. If Bahmee was invested in Judy at the time, the lunch scene and pillow scene would've been excellent opportunities to watch both characters grow. Bahmee figuring out and saying she wanted to go to lunch with her friend and she didn't have to go with the person she likes just because they want to do something.
And Judy realizing her acts of kindness crosses the line and to start asking before doing something instead of just doing it and then brushing off if the persons unhappy about it. Judy doesn't know the line between thoughtful and intrusive. Bahmee could teach her that.
Am I upset Bahmee went back to Tae? A little. But I was upset when she just rolled right into Judy's arms too. The characters are fun to watch and I'm interested to see where the writers take it.
I hope the show gets a second season so they can arch the characters more. I'm super invested.
