Okay I've been thinking a little too much about Chappell Roan songs so here's a little angst AU based on the song Casual:

In middle school Kenneth died, giving Travis a few years of freedom to unpack his internalized homophobia.

By the end of HS Travis and Larry start to have a situationship, but Travis likes to think that it's more than that and that they'll be oficially together very soon because everything they do is so romantic, except he's always being kept as a secret.

And a few months afterwards they call it off 'cause Travis realises they'll never be more than that.

(Reason: Larry didn't have the courage to date someone that hurt his friends and brother so much in the past. Now, they obviously wouldn’t be buddy buddy w/ Travis immediately - except for Sal, he would immediately be best friends w/ him - but at this point they all know that he was just a very stuck up gay guy w/ an abusive pastor as a father, so they don't really hate him, especially since he hadn't really interacted w/ them since middle school).

Well, a few years later they move to a new city and guess who's there?? Travis. He's in college and works as a server.

Old feelings resurface and they're both pinning for each other but Travis is too hurt and bitter to give it a chance, Larry is very sorry and doing his best to woo him once again while being super jealous of Travis w/ his male friends who are very touchy (they want to see Larry sufer lol).

Anyways, because I love a good hurt/comfort they obviously would have a happy ending.

I'll never write this but maybe I'll draw something about it later.

-(MORE ABOUT THE AU)-

soooo this is gonna be like super super messy ahh😨😨😨 anyway so in this au miles has another (biological) sister named Felix (she’s the same age as Franziska) soooo this starts pre-dl6 sorta when miles met phoenix and larry. (Dead-Name miles) was always sorta a more formal Tom boy I’m yk what I mean? Short hair and little blazers ;) gregory had no issue with it and sorta just assumed he had a Tom boy daughter until she started calling herself whos now himself, miles (supportive dad gregory🫡🫡🫡) anyway fast forward to dl6 on the day of dl6 miles was like really scared obviously and Felix being really young couldn’t really do anything to console him being young herself and also very scared (this comes back into her character lore later 😈) but yeah anyway Felix and miles are taken in by Manfred. Around when Felix is 15 she stops giving two shits too Manfred finally coming to her scenes and sorta realising he was a jerk- and for a good few years she tries to get miles to join her in cutting him off but miles is still sorta attaching to him (trauma bonding~👌). The whole bratworth era is the same as cannon except Felix’s there too ig? Oh and also bratworth and feenie are sorta having an on and off😭 (fast forward to aa1) after the main events of the game miles and phoenix have a one nighter before miles ghosts him and most other people besides Felix and Katherine (Felixs girlfriend and my friends oc also this is where it gets a little ⭐️freaky⭐️) the whole time where miles is gone is much longer in this au since that one nighter resulted in gregory jr 🫡- so yeah for the year miles was gone he was in England either extremely depressed and sick or taking care of a baby , for half of the year miles was in England Felix was still back home along with Franziska going up against phoenix (and definitely taking out a bit of anger on the sonic hair lookin ah man 🙂‍↕️ since like because she couldn’t be there for miles during dl6 she’s basically made a promise to herself that she would never let that happen again, also she just kinda dislikes wright) . And for the other half she was in England along with Kathy trying to be #supportivesibling to miles. Felix had planned to go back from England when the whole maya kidnapping trial started but she got attacked outside of the courthouse after only one day of the trial. (Another fast forward to beenix era). Miles had been keeping Gregory jr a secret for a while now successfully though he did almost tell on himself a few times. After phoenix got back into being an attorney miles was pretty torn on if he should tell him or not but after a long ass bit of persuasion from Felix , verity and Kathy he finally told phoenix about gregory. At first phoenix didn’t really take the news well but after a while he opened up to the idea and him and miles started talking again eventually they started setting each other and after a few years they got married since I’m a sucker for happy endings and middle aged man yaoi🫡🫡🫡- but yeah my little brain is running dry for ideas

ace is deuce's annoying (/affectionate) bf that gets accused of murder (a maggie and gumshoe situation), also he works at trey's bakery (there's some sort of poison-in-the-food situation with ace's false charge) the savanaclaw trio are side characters, maybe witnesses, leona could be the uncooperative client in a case. acts like a tough guy but he's got a soft spot for ruggie & jack, takes them under his wing kinda the octotrio are very dubious witnesses. they very obviously hint at having some kind of involvement in whatever case is happening but nobody's sure if theyre joking or not, and they dont end up being any of the actual culprits in the end. but theyre still hella sketchy kalim is the one who gets accused of murder all the fucking time. he and silver are friends, so he kinda(?) fills the maya role? or like. larry but immensely better? idk, something like that. jamil is always trying (and failing) to keep kalim from being accused of murder, and he always calls silver up when kalim's been arrested💀 vil & rook are the obligatory movie actors (main characters in some global studios production, probably another steel samurai spinoff), epel is their adopted son but he likes to hang out with the savanaclaw trio (much to vil's dismay) ortho is idia's assistant & android brother, just like in twst (and maybe his human version's death has something to do with the "ten years ago" case that every game has) malleus is part of a very influential family, and ofc he gets accused of murder once. his case is when the players first meet riddle as opposition, because there is no way that sebek would EVER, in ANY UNIVERSE prosecute malleus. he just couldnt. lilia doesnt die (cuz as much as i love angst, i just couldnt do that) but instead after the first couple of cases he travels the world n does some stuff thatll probably be plot important (idk man) also silver & sebek have that beautiful wonderful opposing counsel romantic tension. im a silbek truther what did u expect. also sebek's gonna have a whole edgeworth arc where he gets accused of murder and he has to learn to trust silver and its gonna be GAYYYYY neige is a rival of vil's (like engarde and corrida except without the whole adrien & celeste thing cuz that was lowkey fucked up. and also the rivalry is mostly on vil's side) so maybe like neige gets poisoned (non-fatally probably) and vil gets accused for it or smth chenya is the recurring witness who is sometimes helpful and sometimes not-so-helpful. like lotta or oldbag but more helpful than them ernesto and gino are culprits in one of the cases probably. hey can we talk about how playful land was straight-up human trafficking. thats kinda fucked-up right. also scully might be a client who's a twist villain at some point. idk, i havent seen all of his event so all my knowledge is tangential.

OH I ALMOST FORGOT!! Also in this au, magic is just a thing that exists, much like in twst, where it’s like modern world-adjacent and also some people have magic 🤷 I just can’t imagine twst without magic, tho it might not be the exact same system n stuff… idk

So I was gonna make a poll to see which AU I should ramble about, but Tumblr glitched or something...

And I think this is a sign. So here goes. The old posts are here, but I'm gonna recap stuff too.

Phoenix Wright except it's WxS instead of the circus

Basic Intro

We start with a similar premise; Phoenix, Maya, and Pearl are out for a day of fun. At Phoenix Wonderlands though, not the circus. And of course, they end up at the Wonder Stage to see WxS put on a show.

Flash forward a bit, and Maya's frantically calling Phoenix to tell him that a member of WxS is being accused of murder. And Maya insists they have to take the case. The two head to the detention center to speak to the defendant, where two people are just leaving after their own visit. These are Toya and Saki, who ask Phoenix to defend Tsukasa, who was framed.

Inside, a bit of banter. Maya talks about how she liked the show, Tsukasa basks in the attention, the usual. However, when it comes around to Phoenix offering his defense services, Tsukasa is strangely hesitant. He seems worried about causing trouble for his family, not wanting to put that bill on them. Maya doesn't hesitate to offer the "'Maya enjoyed something and now it's connected to a murder case' discount," but Phoenix isn't on board so quick. Though he acknowledges that his life is already way too out of hand, and Tsukasa probably wouldn't fare well with a public defender, so Phoenix relents. With everyone coming to agreement, they discuss the case a bit more.

The Case

Touma Nitobe was in one of the break rooms when he was attacked. A number of injuries were inflicted by different weapons, but the first wound was a gunshot to the right leg. The victim died of blood loss. Multiple injuries were inflicted postmortem.

Prosecution: Franziska von Karma

Lead Detective: Dick Gumshoe

Defense: Phoenix Wright

Assisting Defense: Maya Fey, Rui Kamishiro

Misc Stuff:

I've been playing around with names, and this AU will probably be called Turnabout Showtime, though I haven't fully decided yet.

Franziska, the fucking prosecutor of the case, is basically the same age as Rui and Tsukasa. Like, maybe a year or two older. Damn.

Robo-Nene may or may not be seized in the investigation. They will get her back no matter what.

At first, Nene and Emu will be in the audience of the courtroom, while Rui ends up at the defense desk. At some point, though, Emu leaves her seat. She probably runs some messages and stuff, or just keeps the prosecution on their toes. Nene is tired.

Phoenix and Maya talk about stuff as usual, dropping like thirty random details tied to their backstory, but are wild out of context. WxS glances at each other, confused, until Nene gets fed up and asks what the hell they're talking about.

(No but like... Mia's existence. Miles Edgeworth. Franziska, and her father's situation too. The amount of times Maya has been accused of crime. Maya being a spirit medium. Maya and Phoenix regularly using help from summoned spirits. Steel Samurai. Miles Edgeworth. Larry. Pearl. Miles Edgeworth.)

There's a good chance Rui ends up implicated in the murder too. Maybe not at first, but look at him. There's no way the court sees him as innocent the whole time. And the judge? 100% doesn't have a grasp on tech. Rui could show off the most simplistic drone and that judge is gonna think it's a threat.

As of now, the other characters with relevance to the case include: Keisuke and Shousuke Otori, Seiryuin Sakurako, a couple mascots (including Mr. Mascot himself), and various other park staff members. Mizuki and An will probably end up involved at a minor degree too.

A lot of stuff is still being worked out, but I have enough of an idea for the basics. I won't be revealing the truth of the case yet, though I'm totally up for questions about this! I love writing murder mystery cases, and it's been a while since I've done one, so I've been enjoying this.

sorry I've been inactive but here's some random ace attorney aus I thought of (yes, it's mainly wrightworth and krisnix since I'm obsessed with the 3 of them and all their possible dynamics):

misplaced affections- instead of Miles being Phoenix's fixation it was Kristoph (basically a swap between Miles and Kristoph in their role in Phoenix's life)

In a Painterly Way- Kristoph is an artist who is well-acclaimed until Phoenix Wright, a famous art critic, critiques his art for having no soul. The two basically meet and butt heads.

soulmate au- this one has variations:

soulmate marks -Edgeworth and Phoenix are together like the soulmates they were always meant to be, but when Phoenix meets Kristoph, he gains another mark; Edgeworth is not pleased

soulmate heartbreak- au where if one feels that their love for their soulmate is unreciprocated, they're given another soulmate. Phoenix thought his love for Edgeworth was unreciprocated so he was given Kristoph as a new option.. spoiler alert: Edgeworth likes him back this whole time and unfortunately for Phoenix, fate doesn't offer take-backsies

the soulmate diet- au where you can only taste the flavor associated with your soulmate/s in your life until you meet them for the first time. For Phoenix Wright, he can only taste berries: Strawberries and Blueberries specifically. (Of course it's narumitsu and krisnix ;)

Break in 2 crack theory: Bradley Beans is Scary Larry and Mary's son.

this is something im doing for fun imma say i don't really believe it.

whole crack theory started as some dumb au idea i had than i realized there is like a couple of flimsy evidence for said theory. I don't really think Mary and Larry had any kids but if they did they would probably be adults since judging by the white hair the two might be in 60's at the youngest probably with the games lore. Like we don't enough the time between the origin ending and main break in games

(Like if they did have kids i see the twins Luke and Brooke being there kids more than Bradley. Only cause they seem much younger than Mary and Larry not to mention they are also purgers unlike Bradley but who knows)

(Spoilers for the origin ending and evil ending from break in 2 and also some stuff in break in 1. im going to be talking about the endings like you played the game)

so origin ending.

Origin ending is basically were you learn about Larry and Mary's past (also Barry to who has yet to appear) and it is being told to you from Bradley himself including him guiding you through alot of the memories during the gameplay.

now of course the origin ending isn't the canon one since Bradley basically takes you back in time but Bradley canonly probably knows alot of this information since the room he was found in show he was researching the purgers plus seems he was researching us the players to)

Now when i was playing it with a friend she pointed out to me how it was weird how he knows so much about Larry and Mary's school life now of course he probably ether journals from ether of them, the headmaster or even interviewed there old classmates but what if Larry or Mary told him themselves

Like if Bradley was there child who's to say they didn't share how they became they way they are to him when he was a kid.

Also to add young Mary has brown hair just like Bradley, now of course artwork of the both of them has different shades but like with parents genetics they don't always share the same hair color with there children.

also probably just the lighting but found with there in game models the color is closer.

(also like of course Bradley seems to have a semi regular skin color while both Mary and Larry skin be literally white also not to mention i just realized while writing this Bradley has finger nails while Larry and Mary seem to not have them, the in game models honestly seem all over the place.)

added fact is that in the origin ending we really only see the Scary trio's origin and not the twins (though could be because break in 3 they most likely gonna be the next villain unless Barry makes some suprise reveal wherever that guy is so that game might be an origin ending for them whenever it comes out in like 3 years)

next ill talk about the evil ending where you can join the Mary's side and the dream team especially Bradley who in break in 2 is the only one besides robot Larry and Mary you fight as a final boss.

To add his finale phase has him summoning lava with the pipes like how both Mary and even robot Larry does in there fights. (Evil ending also not canon but who's to say he can't do that.)

also last evidence he just seems to be very important with how he is very present in both the evil and origin endings and how in general he is researching the purgers. Now Uncle Pete in break in 1 was also there with the secret ending were you destroy Larry's house not to mention he also appears again in break in 2 just to me with Bradley seems he got alot more going on with him.

now again i don't really believe it myself just but wanted to make this for the heck of it and i had fun making this.

I keep seeing videos of Paul Wesley answering fan questions on his Instagram stories and it’s incredible how it is exactly what I imagine Neil to be like when he goes pro.

His PR team is begging him to have more of a presence on his socials so he puts a “I’ll answer your questions for the next 2 hrs” on his Instagram story and opens it up to his followers. He gets bombarded with niche (at least for him 😂) pop culture questions and his lack of knowledge and aggressive sarcasm is just pure entertainment. but like. after he finds Ingo in a history book of all places... and they STILL look the same despite all the time thats passed... and people bringing that up to him? well he doesn't take that well (maybe or maybe not having a little bit of an identity crisis, whose to say?)

its not like he wants to be replacing Ingo or anything! Ingo never got to be a Boss alongside him in this AU and with him also taking up the singles line on the side since Ingo was never there to do it... it gives him a lot of guilt... straight up making him feel like hes just replalced his brother completely after he dissapeared :(

But he's made a new friend in a new region who doesn't judge and just wants to be nice (who doesn't know anything) and it's really really helping Emmet feel better, even if Larry doesn't know it yet ^_^

"If you can't understand how the best prosecutor thinks, it simply shows how inculpable you are."

(It seems he doesn't know what "inculpable" even means…)

"...That's right, Sebatian. Prosecutor Edgeworth is quite "incapable"," Judge Courtney said with a sideways glance toward Prosecutor Debeste.

"Umm. Yes! He's incapable!"

"...She just nonchalantly corrected him," Kay said blankly.

"Don't underestimate my intelligence gathering skills! I just came from the infirmary and asked the doctor there…" Debeste paused, as if for dramatic effect, "...about the cause of the poison gas!"

"...And what was the cause?" Miles asked.

"Err." Debeste froze, then started waving his baton nervously. "Some "normal" substance… What was its name again?" The question was directed at his daemon, once more a moth on his shoulder. The daemon whispered something back.

"H-hold on a second. I'll call the doctor to make sure."

(At least he's not so cocky as to lie…?)

"Since Sebatian is on the phone, I'll answer for him," Judge Courtney said after he'd left the room.

Alethea grumbled disapprovingly under her breath. "If you know, then why let him go on a useless errand, you…"

It seemed Kay had a similar thought, saying, "...In that case, why didn't you tell us before he called?"

"The poison gas was caused by the mixing of two different types of chemicals," Judge Courtney continued, as if Kay hadn't spoken. "Their names are Normallium and Fatallium."

"So, what are those chemicals exactly?" Kay asked.

"Normallium is a red liquid that's commonly used in everyday products. It can be found in paint and detergent, among other things, but it is not toxic by itself."

"...So you're saying that it's a substance readily available to anyone," Miles concluded.

"Yes. But Fatallium, on the other hand, is not so easy to obtain."

"Its name sure sounds dangerous," Kay said, "What's it used for?"

"It is the active ingredient of a white pesticide known as Megatoxin X. Fatallium itself also has a thick white color. It's not readily sold in stores, and is nearly impossible to obtain domestically. We are currently looking into how this chemical was obtained."

Miles noted the information down in his organizer for future reference.

"O.K.!" Debeste waltzed back into the room. "I've finally found out the names of those chemicals!"

"...Judge Courtney has already told us," Miles said, "We don't need to hear it again."

Debeste made a pained sound, and his daemon briefly became a slug before he regained his composure. "...Fine, then. I'll cut to the chase!"

He was back to that confident smirk, his daemon a large frog on his shoulder. "You know that Normallium from the poison gas is also used in paint, right? Today, out of everyone who visited the art gallery, the only one carrying paint…" He pointed his baton at Larry. "...was that artist!"

"You're treating me as the culprit just because of that?!"

"I object… to the red paint on the palette you're carrying." Debeste's baton dipped, nearly poking the aforementioned paint.

"Hey, Edgey…" Larry said in a tone probably meant to be a whisper, "Don't you think this prosecutor is kind of an idiot?"

"Indeed." Miles heard Alethea huff in frustration at that. "Although I've only known him for a short time, his logic is always absurd."

"Hey! Don't ignore me!"

"It's alright, Sebatian," Judge Courtney said with a patronizing smile, "They're only doing it because they're afraid of you.

"Like the first star to appear at night, show us reasoning that shines the best."

"The first star shines best… Not bad." Debeste's genuine smile at the reassurance was quickly replaced by that smirk of his. "Hey, you guys better listen up too!"

Debeste began his argument. "That artist was the first to "discover" the victim, so naturally he's the best suspect!

"The poison gas was caused by Normallium, a chemical found in paint, right?

"As he was carrying paint near the victim, he would've had the best chance.

"The paint, along with being the first witness…That pretty much proves he's the culprit!"

Debeste turned eagerly to Judge Courtney. "So! What do you think, Justine?"

"...We cannot ignore the possibility," she replied gracefully. "Well then, Mr. Artist. Please, tell us the truth. Did you leave red paint at the crime scene? Or else… Did you cause the poison gas to go off?"

"The only thing I leave behind is my "bond of love" with you…" Larry said, to which his daemon, Millie, nipped him in the hand.

"...Please watch what you say. My gavel is already prepared to declare you guilty."

Miles sighed. "Please pay no heed to this man's statements."

"Hey, hey, you guys!" Debeste said, "Ignoring my reasoning just because it's flawless won't do you any good. Mr. Edgeworth, if you've already admitted defeat, you should take your leave!"

"Hmph. Even though I don't really have time to deal with your ridiculous reasoning, it seems I have no choice."

Debeste repeated his argument. And didn't mention Fatallium once.

"Mr. Debeste," Miles said, "Your logic is more akin to a shooting star than a shining one."

"He heh. It shines the best, right?"

"...It may shine brightly for a brief moment, but then it burns itself out.

"The poison gas originated from inside the glass case of the Pisces Sculpture—"

"Exactly! So that's where the artist set off the gas, right? He used the Normallium in the red paint!"

"As your senior, let me give you one piece of advice: listen to the explanations of others." Miles could feel his own annoyance growing. "The poison gas was caused by mixing both Normallium and Fatallium together. The Normallium contained in the red paint is not enough by itself."

".....Really? But I thought I heard "Normallium caused the fatality"..."

Miles could not believe this. "Don't tell me you just misheard the forensics report!"

"D-Darn it!"

"By the time Larry discovered the victim, the room was already filled with poison gas. It's time for you to realize how incapable you really are!"

"Hey!" Debeste's mouse-formed daemon scrambled to hide under his jacket. "What do you mean by "incapable"!?"

"You tried to use that word earlier, and you still don't know what it means…" Kay said in disbelief.

"He means to say… you are lacking in ability," Judge Courtney told Debeste.

"Incidentally, "inculpable" has a completely different meaning," Miles added.

"…I get it! You're making fun of me again, aren't you!"

"I am merely saying you were incapable in your investigation."
