Work Description: I am offering a minimum of 2k of fic, with $2 for every additional 1k after the starting bid. I will write a maximum of 10k. Due to other commitments, I anticipate being able to begin work on this fic in January 2021. All available ships are strictly platonic except for Stony (Steve/Tony) and Cherik (Erik/Charles), and Peter&Gwen, which I will write a get-together fic for as long as it does not exceed a T rating. Manchester United are close to agreeing a £100million deal to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly wants the Englishman to join his attacking ranks and line up alongside his youthful compatriots of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

And according to The Sun, United are ready to agree on Dortmund’s valuation of the player with a deal looming.

The Red Devils have made Sancho one of their principal targets when the summer transfer window opens on July 27. 

United chief executive Ed Woodward stated in April that the club ‘were not immune’ from the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

Sancho’s current £190,000-a-week contract runs until 2022, which Dortmund reportedly believe puts them in a position of strength with regards to any transfer away from the Signal Iduna Park.

However, United are ready to commit to a deal for the 20-year-old. 

Any negotiations at this stage are also likely to be further complicated by the uncertainty of United’s status as a Champions League or Europa League side next season.

Sancho, who signed for Dortmund in 2017 for a measly £8m from Manchester City, is believed to be keen on a return to Manchester. 

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is keen to pursue Sancho this summer, but needs the financial assurance qualifying for Europe’s premier club competition would bring. 

Sancho, an England international with 11 senior caps to his name, has had another fruitful season for Bundesliga runners-up Dortmund. 

He racked up 17 goals and 17 assists in the German top-flight in 32 matches for Lucien Favre’s side. 

Meanwhile, Dortmund are believed to be close to signing another English youngster in the form of 17-year-old Jude Bellingham from Birmingham, who reportedly turned down United in favour of a move to the Bundesliga.

THE ROARING SILENCE is a community-led initiative and an aspect of The Depot’s philosophy of empowering the community to tell its own stories and find its own solutions. Essential reading, its diversity and creativity is enlightening and empowering, challenging and reassuring. Suicide has been positioned as a dark taboo too dangerous to discuss, or too shameful to admit to. At the same time, the problem of suicide has grown. Suicide crosses all age, gender, cultural divides and affects families, neighbourhoods, friendship groups, communities of interest. “We are hoping to open the dialogue about suicide and demystify it”, says editor Amelia Harris. “In May last year we sent an open call-out for any and all creative works that expressed personal experiences with suicide. We received 79 submissions and each one is included in the book. It was important that the contributors, as a baseline, felt that they were accepted, listened to and respected (these basic principles can sometimes achieve quite a lot!)” “Because of this, the content of the book is very inclusive and broad. 

There is a drawing from a young boy, a cartoon by NZ Herald cartoonist Rod Emmerson, an interview with singer songwriter Caitlin Smith, a poem by Richard Von Sturmer, work by teen poets, a teen anti-bullying group, emerging and established writers, a few teachers, a GP, through to senior artists like Nigel Brown and the respected Judge Neil McLean.” “We’re hoping this diverse approach will help the book reach the widest readership. Most people will find someone, or something in the book that they can relate to. The space to discuss suicide isn’t often opened up in our regular lives, and THE ROARING SILENCE gives a profound insight into how the reality of suicide and suicidal thinking is processed” says Linda. 

Lynn Lawton, manager of the Depot Artspace ArtsLab Programme and a Royal NZ Navy Chaplain for 10 years has also contributed to the book.  He believes it’s through community - and open conversation - that we can positively address the issue of suicide.
