SPOILERS FOR RIPTIDE 114

CAN I JUST SAY HOW FUCKED UP IT WAS FOR GRIZZ TO HAVE GILL HANGING FROM A FUCKING FISHING HOOK???????

LIKE OH MY GOD

Gill someone who has spent his entire journey thus far trying to break away from the titles the world has given him and trying to become his own person. Someone who has been trying to break away from what the elders told him. Knowing that not all the elders are tritons they probably called him a fish to belittle him. Not to mention how bad Gill would be feeling knowing his complete disregard for his own well- being in order to help others. He might have started thinking that the elders were right. That he was useless and unworthy that he was "just another fish"

Not to mention Gill shedding skin metaphorically and physically over the course of the black sea arc. Like he has started to question his own values and ideals about himself rather than the ones around him. This is some of the first real self discovery (that does not involve titles) he would have done without outside influence. He is slowly becoming his own person and forming his own identity outside of what the world has told him but all of this is ripped away when he feels belittled by the hook.

I think every Charlie Slimecicle ttrpg combat turn goes like this:

With my action I pull out The InstaKiller3000, which everyone forgot I had and collectively agrees I should not have ever under any circumstances. With my bonus action I am going to use the most vaguely worded spell in existence and argue semantics with the dm for at least 10 minutes until I somehow bs my way into making a shitty spell turn The InstaKiller3000 into The InstaKiller10000. I’m now going to describe the most epic fucking visual any human being could come up with for when I use The Instakiller10000. Time to roll for damage!!! It’s a 1, and with my equally horribly rolled stats that makes it a -3. I hit myself in the face with The InstaKiller10000 and die instantly
