I've found out that reita is gone three months later

so yesterday at night, august 15, I found out that reita was dead... and I couldn't' believe it, it was so surreal and I cried reading the words of ruki for him. it pains me to know the gazette members were friends, mostly reita and uruha that used to know way before.

tbh I haven't listened to the gazette since 2016

I met the gazette's music at 18 or something like that and

now I'm 36 and I have clinic depression and when the gazette made their second world tour, the country I live in it's close to argentina, I had a friend who had an argentinian friend that got me a front row ticket for the gazette concert, I got the flight tickets for me and my friend, and then I had a shitty nationality that didn't let me go anywhere (I already changed my nationality) anyway, I didn't get the visa to argentina, I was so sad I wanted to end everything. I went straight to the psychiatrist, it was the first time I really wanted to end everything, every bad thing that had happened to me, not being able to got to the gazette's concert was the last blow, and someone I thought as my best friend back then, she got to go and it made me so sad and angry 'cause she wasn't even a real fan compared to me, she just happened to listen to their songs that year and go (she dedicated ito to me 'cause she missed me, and hell I told her 'bout that song's meaning, that's my proof she wasn't a fan)

so I stopped listening to the gazette, but this year I felt like listening to, and last night I was listening to layla by eric clapton because a kaleido star's fanfic I was reading with the characters layla and yuri, and I wanted a name for the main female character of the book I was trying to write, I thought layla was cool, but there's already too many L in my main male character's name, so I thought of reila (I thought it was reira) and there was "what happened to reita the gazette" on the search while I was looking for reila's lyrics, I thought it was a illness or accident, but no, reita is gone.

I found out that reita is gone while listening to eric clapton playing guitar.

I went to wikipedia and I thought a troll edited the page, a horrible joke, but it was real and it means I'll never go to a the gazette's concert in my life, maybe I still can, but it won't be the same without reita, he is the gazette and he is my fave bassist and I remember when I was young and grew up with the gazette's songs, I got excited just by watching their pvs on the screen, everytime I read their interviews were so inspiring, just a bunch of young adult friends that decided to pursue the same dream together. I wish I had that kind of friends, and let's face it, most jrock groups break after a few years, the gazette were friends with the same dream that lasted over two decades, they were losers that had each other and followed their dreams and made them come true and to me the gazette isn't one of the best rock/metal groups of japan, to me they're one of the best in this whole universe.

and I went to two aerosmith lives where they were in their 60s and I dreamed of the the gazette were going to rock 'til they were old in his 70s.

tbh I'm curious about reita's passing, I want to know why, last year matthew perry died and I love friends, it was shocking, but I did know why, however asian artists are more discreet than western ones and we may never now about what happened to reita. there's so many rumours and the gazette haven't released new songs since 2021? I guess there'll be a new bassist and I won't hate on him, but it won't be the same.

reita was so young, not 45 or 47, he was 42 and I don't want to believe in the horrible rumours. whatever happened to him, it was his life, if there's heaven, another life or another world I hope he's in peace.

and I'm hurt and I'm not ready to listen to the gazette music yet.

Style Preferences I tend to send wildly different letters. I specialize in “themed” letters, though. I love to decorate pertaining to certain things- Seasons, media that I and my penpal like, or even focusing on specific colors and color palettes. Essa semana, o mundo da música perdeu um dos seus maiores talentos: Reita, baixista do the GazettE, nos deixou cedo demais.

Em 2005, a banda cruzou meu caminho e, desde então, a melodia do GazettE se tornou a trilha sonora da minha vida e sou imensamente grata por isso.

Meu coração se apaixonou instantaneamente pelo Aoi, mas meus olhos sempre se voltavam para o Rei-chan, o baixista que me conquistou com sua presença cênica e aquela faixa no nariz que o deixava ainda mais charmoso.

Conhecendo a banda como a conheço, sei que a perda deixa um vazio imenso e provavelmente levará ao fim do the GazettE. Essa notícia me deixa devastada, pois a banda foi a inspiração para tudo que conquistei nos últimos anos.

XII. currently working on: Beating my anxiety! It's something I've dealt with my whole life and it's really hard to break the thought cycle of 'everyone thinks I'm annoying/hates me'. I'm trying to push myself to reach out to people, make connections, and start new friendships. It's tough when you're new and trying to find a place within a community, and everyone already has established friendships and writing partners. I'm trying and... it's hard. Really hard. But, I know I'm not the only one who has these thoughts, doubts, etc. I have to keep telling myself that. So, I really appreciate anyone who reaches out to interact with me! Anything close to mine so around 30 but also beyond. I even like teenager stories sometimes when it connects to a story we write now

Definitely the way how rp in general works now or on tumblr. I also looked into other platforms to rp but this one is my absolute favorite. I found friends here to ask about formatting, terms, promos, tags and how u use gifs or whatever. I love that and appreciate every help any of you ever gave me cause it made me feel immediately welcome ❤️

24. what faceclaim did you start off disliking, that you ended up enjoying or even playing? how did that come about? (non problematic, a personal preference)

Matt smith. Never cared about him. Never watched anything with him. But then I saw him as Daemon and was amazed. Which is super funny cause I hated daemons character the first two episodes but as soon as he was covered in blood like Rick, negan and Tommy (yes that’s a pattern here), me and my friends were immediately like “I have to write that one”. The same literally happened about Cillian first. Never watched anything on purpose, never cared and I’m not into history or politics either so I thought I would hate peaky blinders. But then I watched it and was so amazed by his role that I absolute adore him now. Both characters were recommended for me to write tbh cause I always was like “hmmm can I do it” but my friends were very supportive so I’m very glad about these ideas ❤️ cause yeah, Tommy and daemon fit so perfectly to me and Rick and negan. Make them feral, psychopaths and covered in blood and I’m in 🤣

25. what faceclaim did you start of loving, and now loathe? (non problematic, a personal preference)

Generally musicians or anyone besides actors. It’s a moral thing for me. Like in the past when I was younger I didn’t really see a problem with using real faces and personas for rps or fanfics, but now that I’m older I have so much respect for everyone famous and their privacy, that I make a clear cut between actors (cause they play roles and I write these roles they play not them as personal human beings) and everyone else cause a musician might have a stage persona, but it’s still them so I can’t write them cause it feels like I might be doing something uncomfortable for them if they would read it. I don’t know if that makes sense but I hope you know what I mean. Also in the past i wrote fanfics with anime characters, but I wouldn’t do that anymore cause I only feel connected to real humans and not animated figures anymore. I’m also generally very picky about faceclaims as well cause I need to have a certain connection to their real persona and support their morals to write them.

what was your first ship/fandom?

i started out with jrock rpf when i stumbled into some dir en grey fics twenty years ago :'D before that i had no idea fanfic even existed lol it was a shock to say the least.

i know rpf divides opinions very strongly and honestly i'm not super into it either but it felt so different with jrock (and kpop) stuff because they all had such distinct stage personas and stage names and you didn't really know them as people, so it was easier to sorta make up characters based on them. idk if this makes sense to anyone but me but that's how i felt about it? :'D

I don't really project myself onto characters, either in canon or in fanfic. So I picked some characters I was super obsessed with as a kid/teen.

Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury - Kind of my OG "nerd who grows" character. I have spent so many hours drawing ribbons and pleated skirts and jewelry because of Sailor Moon, and Mercury was always my favorite. But also I hate hate hate the Eternal fukus, everyone looks terrible in them

Mana - ok so we can argue about whether he counts as a character or not, but my Jrock phase was intense, ok?? I still listen to Malice Mizer and Moi dix Mois regularly. I love the spooky, gothic theming. I love the elaborate costumes (also, he played a large role in popularlizing Gothic Lolita), and I love the severe cupid's bow he always draws his lipstick in.

Duo Maxwell - I probably spent more time in the Gundam Wing fandom than I did interacting with the actual source material. That said, I love Duo. I liked how he can stay relatively positive in the face of war and tragedy. I liked how he called himself the god of death and his Gundam wielded a scythe (the thing is called Deathsycthe) because I was a weird little goth nerd. Also, I like it when male characters have long hair, and I think his is very stand-out.

Aerith Gainsborough - Or "Aeris", since we're talking about childhood. I love magic stuff and mysterious pasts, and Aerith serves in spades. She's so integral to the plot of FFVII that she regularly crops up even when she's no longer with the party. The remake did a brilliant job with her, and really played up the Last of the Cetra vibes. That garden was gorgeous.

I think the wildest thing about sharing fanfic these days is like, back in the day I remember having whole ass conversations in the comment threads with one sometimes two people at a time and that would sometimes bring about a whole other fic/idea just from spitballing off of a single line or background detail.

I once wrote a series of fics about a fictional character dating a jrock guitarist because I got enabled enough by random people in a fandom.

There were kink memes and fluff memes where there were thousands upon thousands of anonymous people commenting stuff they wanted to see and people responding on anon (or off) with one two three four more part comment fics.

There were so many lj memes where you'd anonymously compliment writers you really loved seeing stuff from because people used to value complimenting people who provided free fanfic.

And these are just some of the very few things I've experienced in my many years of being in fandom.
