#FREEDOWNLOADS #FREEPROMO #RADIOCHART Jovonn Interviewed By Lenny Fontana For True House Stories® # 121 TRUE HOUSE STORIES® W/ JOVONN # 121 INTERVIEWED BY LENNY FONTANA A native of Brooklyn and current resident of Queens (New York), Jovonn has been active in the music scene since the age of 10. Supported by his mother, a keyboard player; and father, a guitar/bass player, who were aspiring R&B singers; he was nurtured with a solid musical foundation. Jovonn began his career as a Hip-Hop DJ at the age of 14 and started spinning records at those infamous New York block parties of the 80s where he was introduced to the growing New York House music scene, hanging out in seminal Brooklyn clubs such as Sapphires, Club Saturn and Club Serene. Years later clubs such as The Loft, The Choice, Snobbusters and Zanzibar, solidified his full commitment to House music. Exploding onto the house scene in 1991 with his second release, “Turn and Runaway” on Warner Bros. Records, (which reached number 10 on the Billboard chart and catapulted Jovonn on to the global scene) He then went on to set up his first record label, Goldtone Records, in the early 1990’s via Emotive Records (label compilation dropped on clone last year) and since then has produced more than 500 records in the House, R&B, Hip-Hop and Neo Soul genres, not to mention film scores and soundtracks although his true love has always been House music. A pioneer of the NYC, New Jersey, 90’s house sound, he’s produced many classics with releases such as as “Back In the Dark”, “Garage Shelter”, “I Can’t Make Up My Mind”, “I Wanna Go To A Club” that all contain Jovonn’s distinctive vocal delivery and trade mark production, as the man says himself ‘gritty sounds, hard kicks, jazzy chords and a phat bassline’. Other releases in Jovonn’s impressive discography include ‘Something About this Love’ (on WestEnd Records), “The Spirit” album (on Track Mode), and the “Blaque House” album on Code Red. More recently he’s delivered releases on prestigious labels such as Dogmatik, Objektivity, Deeply Rooted House and Apollonia, showcasing his talents to a new audience of house music lovers. Jovonn launched his new label venture Body N’Deep in 2017 via clone distribution, dedicated to releasing the hottest deep and raw underground house tracks from Jovonn and his crew of producers and vocalists including tracks from legendary artists such as Karizma, Delano Smith and Louie Vega. His recent album ‘Timeless’ was released and received great reviews from DJ’s and Press, showcasing Jovonn’s trademark new jersey sound. Look out for a busy release schedule throughout 2020 on Body N’Deep and a new Jovonn album later in the year. Скачать: https://ift.tt/Apw1XQL https://ift.tt/XWqHsDJ

Juan Hoerni feat. Terry Dexter - Stuck In The Middle (Cha Cha Project Recordings)
8DPromo · Juan Hoerni feat. Terry Dexter - Stuck In The Middle (Cha Cha Project Recordings)
Once again, Los Angeles house music don Juan Hoerni joins forces with singer Terry Dexter for another uplifting slice of dancefloor bliss. "Stuck in the Middle," released on Juan's Cha Cha Project Recordings imprint, features immaculate performances from both the players — including Scott Wozniak on keys — and Terry Dexter. The accumulation of soulful expertise helps to welcome the warm summer air as things heat up on the floor. A disco-accented rhythm section drives electric piano chords and swirling organ riffs, laying down the perfect musical bed for Terry Dexter's emotive, memorable vocal performance. Top-notch all around.
The legendary Jovonn, an undisputed pioneer of the '90s' NYC/New Jersey house music sound, is on hand for a trio of prime-time remixes. Jovonn's Main Mix toughens the rhythm and accompanies it with a staccato synth bass line. The vocal is solidly at the fore, with the organ and key melodies providing support. Jovonn also supplies a Dub version of this mix, as well as a Stripdown Mix. The latter really shows off Terry Dexter's incredible vocal, pushing it further up in the mix while downplaying most of the keyboard elements. Superb all around.
Hector Romero (Def Mix) – “Right on. I’m feeling this. Nice one to all involved.” Frank Situation (Situation) – “This is deep fire! Great work.” Brad Eller (Glass Slipper) – “Right up my alley! Love the vocal, and Scott’s keys are dope as always.” Michael Fossati (Spirit of House) – “What a paramount release.” Edground (Brazillian Soul Crew) – “This is an amazing release. All mixes are perfect.” Niall Redmond (The Digital Groove) - “Nice vibes on this release, Classy.”

Megaman Production Art Scan of the Day #747:
Shingo Adachi's Story of Meteor Artbook: Page 12
*Bank, or bank cut, refers to the animation term where the same footage or cuts are used repeatedly.
In this episode's case, there was a lot of "BATTLE CARD! PREDATION!" scenes reused of Subaru throwing the card and War Rock munching them. Plus a few ghost ships, among others. So that's what he is referring to as disappointing.

How White Vigilantism Contributed To Jordan Neely's Chokehold Death
By Jovonne Ledet
Photo: Getty Images
Many are calling the New York chokehold death of Michael Jackson impersonator Jordan Neely another example of white vigilantism that has led to killings of Black Americans over the past several years, NBC News reports.
Neely, a 30-year-old homeless man with a history of mental illness, was choked to death by a 24-year-old man on a New York City subway after a witness said he was acting aggressively toward other passengers.
"The man got on the subway car and began to say a somewhat aggressive speech, saying he was hungry, he was thirsty, that he didn't care about anything, he didn't care about going to jail, he didn't care that he gets a big life sentence," Juan Alberto Vazquez, a passenger who recalled fearing for his life, previously said. "That 'It doesn't even matter if I died.'"
According to reports, the 24-year-old rider held Neely in a chokehold for roughly 15 minutes. The subway entertainer was unconscious on the car floor when officers arrived and ultimately died at the scene, according to the New York Police Department. The 24-year-old rider who delivered the chokehold was questioned and released by NYPD and hasn't been charged.
Donald Grant, a clinical psychologist in Los Angeles, said the chokehold death is a clear example of white vigilantism, which has become an increasing threat to the safety of Black Americans.
“It reignites the terror in the souls of Black folks when we witness these killings of our people without trial, without jury, without adjudication,” said Grant, author of the book "White on White Crime: Old Lies in Contemporary Times." "This vigilante activity is really a reminder of the dangerous conditions that Black Americans exist in now."
Grant added that every killing of Black Americans requires “public outrage for our humanity to be recognized in a way that doesn’t allow us to be murdered like animals in public spaces.”
The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed last week that Neely died because of “compression of neck." Tyrone Irby, a native New Yorker, said the incident is reminiscent of the killings of Trayvon Martin and Ahmaud Arbery.
Civil rights attorney Mario Williams said he passes homeless people who sometimes make comments or act out on his way to work in downtown Atlanta “but no one goes up and chokes them."
Grant believes the vigilante deaths of Neely, Martin, Arbery, and more stem from racism and white supremacy.
“And so white superiority ideology is a combination of all those things: historical context, white supremacy, racism, classism and a system that has been supported through literature, through film, through journalism. And those messages are consistent. We can’t continue to excuse vigilantism,” Grant said.

Black Stars Who Could Make History At 2023 Oscars
By Jovonne Ledet
Mar 10, 2023
Photo: Getty Images
Two Black stars are on the cusp of making history at the 2023 Oscars.
On Sunday (March 12), the 95th Academy Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
A number of Black entertainers including Angela Bassett, Rihanna, Brian Tyree Henry, and Temsearned nods at this year's awards. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also landed Oscar nominations for Best Costume Design, Best Visual Effects, Best Makeup & Hairstyling, and Best Original Song.
But an Oscars win for Bassett and Tems would be historic.
Bassett, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Wakanda Forever, could make history as the first actor to ever win for portraying a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), according to Action Network. Her historic win would follow the film's first installment becoming the first Oscar-winning film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe four years ago.
Sunday could also be a groundbreaking night for Tems as a co-writer of Rihanna's "Lift Me Up" from Wakanda Forever. If the hit takes home the award for Best Original Song, Tems would be the first Nigerian to ever win an Oscar, per Action Network.
Both Bassett and Tems already made history by being nominated, but a win would mark both entertainers' first Oscars.
