Good Thursday Morning!! :) Busy day ahead :) As my inquiry continues on self-forgiveness, I keep thinking of what part of me has changed. I have pinpointed the pivotal moment back to May 25th 2013. This was what I thought a very happy time of my life, successful businesses, just graduated with my Doctorate in Marketing, and pretty much carefree. BUT, that fateful moment May25,, 2013 when I chose to drive while drinking for the 2nd time resulting in a 2nd DUI is when the world tumbled around me. At that point, degrees and business meant nothing. That moment showed me that it takes looking inward not outward for peace and understanding. Friendships and my personal health were definitely on the line because this could NOT happen again. It was a few days after the dust had settle, I realized what is needed in me is a teachable spirit, and I continue with this teachable spirit today. Perfection does not exist...I know that, I spout it out here all of the time.. why is it so hard for me and many others to take a dose of our own medicine? Why is it that I can be teachable when the wisdom is coming from others but not when it is coming from within? (Went to hot yoga instead😍) & Taking a little rest from work tonight💗(which is actually REALLY hard for me🙈... because I love SO much about what I do) - I’m learning that rest is SO important to living well. Not everything has to be in PERFECT balance.... like honestly, what Even IS that?!😅 - So instead, I’m learning to view it much more like a dance💃🏼 Some days you work a WHOLE lot, and don’t really do much of anything else...and some days you spend with your husband, running around Nashville or hitting up your FAV. hot yoga spot🙌🏽 and working here & there & forcing yourself to take a rest...😂 - What I love- is that as a coach, I get to CHOOSE every day. I get to live out that dance based on the time of month, and the work that needs getting done, and the goals I want to hit, and whether or not Chad’s home from tour...😍 - after meeting up with one of my girls in our summer solstice Test group today...I realized. This life I get to live. This job I get to work. Is such a blessing. Because I even get the OPTION to rest. Some people don’t. - I won’t let this kind of happiness look small at ALL now in my hands. Happy Sunday!! :) I am loving the rain--perfect day to get a jump on John Wesley's Theology for class :) As I reflect on the week and ready myself for the week ahead, I can't help but have a joyful attitude for the true feeling of my organic connection to creation. I have heard people say, "as we come closer to the earth, the shorter distance wisdom has to travel." Ha Ha Ha... I am sure this doesn't mean that we should lay on the ground for wisdom to pop into our heads. My take is to be grounded is to be humble and humility is the gateway to wisdom.
