          Truthfully,  a  gnome  wasn’t  one  of  the  most  bizarre  of  things  Ben  had  witnessed  scurrying  by.  Just  assumed  it  was  some  sort  of  alien  that  just  appeared  gnome-like,  and  maybe  the  brunette  girl  simply  was  not  acquainted  to  the  world  of  aliens.  It  would  be  an  oddity  considering  how  much  more  wide  spread  the  knowledge  of  the  existence  of  aliens  were,  however,  some  places  were  lacking  in  the  knowledge. 

            ❝  Huh  whu------------- name’s  Ben!  Guess  that  name  didn’t  get  to  far  over  here.  Hey  you  want  some  help  grabbin’  that  guy?  I  know  a  guy  who  can  help!  Actually  wait  you  seem  to  have  gotten  that...  fine.  ❞

Then there was the matter of FINDING his Captain-- nearly thirty years after he left. Stanford was not the sort to give up easily-- and was beyond thankful to find Picard at his family vineyard. "It's-- ah-- Stanford."

        Times have changed, and Jean-Luc has handled his departure from old friends and memories with grace. Retirement has not meant that everything ends,  but he has forced himself to leave behind certain parts of his past that are best put behind him. 

The arrival of Stanford Pines to the vineyard at Château Picard would change all of that.

He’s older, more weathered, but still dignified and strong, and with a distinguished air about him despite the civilian clothing and lack of a uniform. He seems more comfortable, if a little tired, and wiser. More content, yet at the same time, restless.

Stanford appears different too, but not to much that he is unrecognized to the ex-Admiral ( still a a Captain the last time the two of them had spoken ). Their parting had been friendly but bittersweet, and they had not reconnected since. ( It was safer that way, they had agreed. )

“Did you think I would not recognize an old friend?” There’s a smile on his face, though cautious, and his eyes travel down to the dog trotting along at Stanford’s feet. “Even Number One seems to see that you are so stranger. But.... I must say, it’s quite unexpected, seeing you here.”

FAMILY COSTUME TIME. Mabel is determined to drag Bruce into her Halloween traditions. Ever since she showed him the Baby Shark video she's had this in her head-- herself as BABY shark, Bruce as DADDY shark, and Grunkle Ford as GRUNKLE shark. Her Halloweens were LIMITED now-- and with Dipper not wanting to celebrate, she had to drag OTHERS into her madness.

Mabel, of course, went all out and knitted Bruce and Ford shark hats (and her made a matching baby shark costume with an only slightly more fashionable hand-band--because both choices are stylish, after all)!
