In the summer of 2000, Joshua Hong was almost five years old. People always commented on how pretty he was for a kid, that he’d surely grow up to be a very handsome man. 

Which is why it was a tragedy when he died from a freak truck accident.

Yes, Joshua Hong died at the age of five. For like, 10 minutes.

The doctors called it a miracle - a small child should not have survived a whole six of the twelve truck wheels, but somehow he was resuscitated, much to his parents’ delight.

This incident caused two things to change dramatically - Californetherlands now has stricter trucking laws and Joshua woke up to memories of literally being Aphrodite.

Throughout the years, from that fateful summer day to the present day, Joshua flopped back and forth between believing that the memories were just fever dreams and genuinely considering that he may be a reincarnation of the goddess. But ever since he got to hone his powers, he’s been more inclined to believe the latter.

By the age of  28, he has mastered the art of seduction. No, not sleeping with people constantly. It was more so the art of getting people to say ‘yes’ to everything he asked of them.

This made Joshua a very powerful and influential figure in Los Amsterdam; You see, the way he dealt wasn’t by out-witting people or being richer than them. He dealt in favors. If you wanted to be a popstar, he’d introduce you to a famous producer, and get you a record deal that would solidify your career - all for the low, low price of free.

In turn,  you’d owe him, like the many powerful people who owed him large favors.

Joshua found himself in downtown LA, in the club that he owned, just under his penthouse. He enjoyed playing the guitar and performing for his patrons, everyone seemingly captivated by his voice, or his beauty, whichever one caught their attention first. He finally strummed the last chord of his song, enjoying the applause of the crowd as the DJ started to play the usual club music. Just as he was about to retreat to the bar, a feminine voice stopped him.

“Joshua! Hey!” She said, hair bouncing over her new fur coat, jumping excitedly, calling him over.

Joshua smiled widely at her - she was one of the people he had helped start her career as a singer. He didn’t do much other than introduce her to the CEO of her current label, it was her natural talent that got her this far.

“Ah, Diana, good to see you!” He said, going over to meet her in a friendly hug, the kind that didn’t touch at all. “How has being a singer treated you? Any good news?” He said, making small talk with an old acquaintance.

“Oh please,” she started, her new haughty attitude showing, “It’s all over the news! I just got nominated for a Grammy!” She said in a sing-song tone. Joshua just nodded Truth be told, he didn’t really have much interest in pop music, but he did try to match her enthusiasm.

“That’s great! I knew you’d make it big.” he said, remembering the first time she came to him, a girl in clothes that almost looked like rags, now decked out in every designer brand you could think of. “So, what brings you back here then? Surely you already have everything you ever wanted?” He said lightheartedly. Even if all of Joshua’s connections owed him favors, it was quite uncommon for them to come back to him after having achieved their dreams.

“Well,” She said, her old, meek bashfulness coming to the surface. “I just wanted to see you again, to thank you for what you have done for me.” She tucked a hair behind her ear. “And I know no matter what favor I do for you in return, I could never break even for just how much you’ve impacted my life. So, thank you, Joshua.”

Joshua genuinely felt relieved to hear her say that - usually, people’s pride and greed got in the way of them acknowledging those who truly helped them along the way, but as he suspected, this girl still had a soul so pure. “Let's get some drinks by the bar and chat some more, yeah? My treat.” He offered, which she gladly took, the conversation between them flowed naturally, Joshua enjoying her tales of success.

It was an hour after the club closed that Diana decided it was time to head home. Joshua offered to see her off, like the gentleman he was, and so they walked to the sidewalk, her hand around his arm.

Joshua opened the taxi door for her, offering her a few bills in cash to cover the fare, “It was nice seeing you again, hopefully, you’ll make time to catch up with me in the future.” he said through the taxi window.

“Yeah, I hope I get the chance to see you again soon. Goodnight Joshua.” She said as she rolled up the taxi window.

Joshua watched the taxi drive until the end of the block, everything seemingly going smoothly, up until another car intercepted hers in the intersection.

It happened so quickly, too quickly for  Joshua to even register the new car’s window sliding down, holding a gun out to the taxi Diana was in. Gunshots echoed through the street, the sound of tires popping and glass shattering but all Joshua could make out was the sound of two sets of four tires screeching against the concrete. Diana’s taxi collided with a nearby lamppost, the taxi flattening and curling around it.

That was the last time Joshua saw her alive.

Gehenna, the greek name for the Valley of Himmon, is a valley surrounding Jerusalem and is often referred to as a place of divine punishment.

In the Hebrew Bible, the Book of Joshua states in 28:3 that King Azah “burnt incense and children in the valley.” 33:6 mentions that his grandson continued this ritual. The children were sacrificed to the god Moloch. In 7:31Jeremiah(prophet) says to end the practice and all the shrines for it. So King Josiah answers this call and destroys the shrines to prevent the sacrifices. Important to add that this was never proven in any sense. The name Moloch only appears 8 times in the hebrew bible, so its not 100 percent confirmed that its even a god. A lot of theologists think that this ritual wasn’t actually a sacrifice but more like a rite of passage for a child. Plus that its actually just anti-pagan propaganda of that time.

In Aramaic translations of the hebrew bible, Gehenna is used for verses about resurrection, judgement and fate of the wicked.

In the christian Bible, Jesus refers to it as a dump where the habitants burn their trash and criminals. He calls it the pit of eternal fire which never burns out. Jesus uses Gehenna to symbolise the eternal suffering of the second death(The second death here refers to the punishment of sinners after death.). Its not the same as the eternal lake of fire as in the Book of Revelation but it corresponds to it. So gehenna is not Hell itself but more a symbol of it.

The reason why a lot of people call it hell is because 16th century translaters translated hades and gehenna both as hell. In Islam, the islamic name for hell, Jahannam derives from the word Gehenna!

So originally, Gehenna was just a valley but then became a place of sacrifice BUT this may be misinformation and it actually was used for rite of passages. It then became a dumping place, where the wicked were burned. It was never referred to as Hell but became synonymous with it after 16th century translations and the concept being analogous to the eternal lake of fire in BoR. The word Gehenna itself is referred to in verses about resurrection.

But how does this correspond to The summer Hikaru died?

A lot of those points fit the story very well! Like how they sacrificed their own people to a pagan god and how the village sacrificed heads to Unuki-sama. Im not entirely sure about this one point about the misinformation aspect. We know that the village believes that Nounuki-sama is some inherently evil spirit. But it’s not actually true, it’s more a man made thing. The villagers came to Nounuki-Sama. Like how Gehenna wasn’t inherently associated with hell but more so over the years. It also fits How Gehenna is often used in verses about resurrection, which kind of is what happened to Hikaru after being taken over by Nounuki-sama. AND how Josiah abolished the shrines and therefore the rituals may be what will happen in the story, how Yoshiki (and Hikaru) will overcome the village tradition and kind of put an end to what the elders and everyone before them have been doing. Maybe maybe idk these r just my thoughts would love more thoughts on this

Hi, ich bin Joshua!

Ich (28) Lebe heute mit meiner Frau Ina (29) In einem kleinen Haus in Paderborn. Mit Ina bin ich schon seit der siebten Klasse zusammen. Verheiratet sind wir mittlerweile schon vier Jahre.

Nach unserem gemeinsamen Abi haben wir Wirtschaftswissenschaften studiert und danach selbstständig gemacht. Beruflich läuft es sowohl vom Geld als auch vom Arbeitsplatz super. Für mich als Vollzeit- Windelträger ist von zu Hause aus zu arbeiten Wunderbar.

Ich muss Windeln tragen weil ich einnässe und einkote ohne es Kontrollieren zu können. Da ist was die Inkontinenz beschreibt.

Leider hat man dann während der Operation festgestellt, noch etwas mehr schneiden zu müssen. 💩

Seit elf Jahren mache ich nun also alles in die Windel. Meine Frau ist Ina hat es von vorne rein nicht wirklich gestört. Sie unterstützt mich so gut sie kann und hat mich auch als Windelträger geheiratet.

Folge 1053

Tahmi ist da. Das Intro gefällt mir etwas besser als das von Staffel 26, auch wenn einige Figuren, die ich sehr sehr gerne hab, nicht mehr dabei sind. 🥺 Ich fänd's schön, wenn es in Staffel 28 wieder ein Gruppenbild gäbe, das Intro von Staffel 25 liebe ich. Elly und Joshua sind da. Und sie streiten direkt. Ich bin gespannt, wie schlimm ich das Thema mit der Schatzsuche finden werde. So ziemlich alle Meinungen dazu, die ich bisher gelesen habe, waren eher ... weniger begeistert. Casper hat die Schule gewechselt. Karl ist da. Frau Schiller. 😍 Colin und Joel umarmen sich. ❤️ "Hast du Noah erwartet?" "Nein ... Nein, sorry." Joel schwärmt von Pastinaken, und Colin ist sooo traurig, man sieht's ihm so an. "Noah kann seine Gefühle zwar wegschalten, aber du nicht." "Zwischen uns, da war doch was. ich mein', nicht nur als ich ihn geküsst hab, schon das ganze letzte Schuljahr über. Wie angekündigt hat Joshi Frau Schiller geholt. Elly: "Wir wären fast erfroren!" Joshi: "Dafür müsstet ihr so eine halbe Stunde hier draußen sitzen und das bei -18 Grad." Autistic!Joshi ist so real.

Endlich wird die Schatzkiste geöffnet, doch wie sich herausstellt, ist da gar kein Schatz drin, sondern nur noch ein Rätsel.

Queen Ava bereitet sich derweil auf einen Raid in Shields of Dalos vor, aber ihr Headset ist kaputt.

Wie sich herausstellt hatte Maxis Oma eine Geheimsprache und die fünf Freunde müssen erstmal den Code knacken. Okay, warte, ich würd erstmal mit der Caesar-Verschlüsselung anfangen und so oft jeweils einen Buchstaben weitergehen bis man entweder ein lesbares Wort rauskriegt oder wieder beim Anfangsbuchstaben rauskommt. Kann man sogar easy automatisieren.

Doch dann muss Elly leider weg, weil sich Frau Schiller mit ihr, Karl und Joshua über ihren nächtlichen Ausflug unterhalten möchte.

NOAH!

Richter Joshua Hockenbrink hat die Internatsordnung gelesen und festgestellt, dass Elly und Karl von der Schule fliegen könnten. Er wird den Rechtsfall in Staffel 28 LIEBEN!

Als Strafe brummt Frau Schiller Elly, Karl und Joshua Zusatzaufgaben auf, weil sie gegen die Nachtruhe verstoßen haben und Joshi sie absichtlich ausgesperrt hat. Moment...absichtlich ausgesperrt? IST JOEL ETWA WEGEN DER KELLERAKTION VON DER SCHULE GEFLOGEN?
