Werewolf Josh Washington X Mute FemWerewolf!Reader Hidden Feelings prompt with angst
!TW: Mention of death, word ‘killed’, mention of word ‘bleeding’, mention of an attack, mild violence, implied swearing (‘cursing’), blood, injury detail (cut - not particularly detailed), knife/mention of knife, self-harm (not particularly detailed)/mention of, mention of wound (not extremely detailed), mention of stitches, actual swearing!
This is a different adaptation of this character
“In my defence, I was left unsupervised,” Josh muttered, glaring at Mike, who smiled wryly. They had been against each other for a long time after the prank and Jessica’s untimely death, they had to stop each other from changing forms and fighting every time they saw each other. “So I’d like it if everyone stopped blaming me for what happened,” he remarked, his voice quiet as he sank back into his seat, staring at the blazing fire.
Chris stepped forward, nervously eyeing Mike. “Do you not have better things to be doing?” Chris inquired, his voice briefly trembling as he was the shyer of the group, like you; but he had not seen his parents being killed like you had in front of you. “Other than sitting around?” Chris taunted, his hands trembling. Josh simply laughed quietly, shaking his head.
You attempted to stand up to defend him, but his girlfriend, Ashley, had beat you to it. “Back off, Chris,” Ashley retorted, glaring at him. “Stay in your corner,” she advised, gesticulating to the corner in the room where he’d sometimes sit.
Chris shook his head, staying in place. “We know that something happened out there Josh; spill,” Chris demanded, trying not to seem vulnerable.
Mike stood at Chris’ side, folding his arms. “We deserve to know, Josh. What happened out there and why was Y/N bleeding out on your back?” Mike questioned, gesticulating to you. Josh muttered something under his breath, glancing at you, before looking back at Mike. “Speak up,” Mike commanded, pissed off.
Josh sneered, trying to hold back his anger again. “A wendigo attacked her, okay!” Josh snapped and the others would be shocked, looking over at you. Mike glared at you, but Josh stopped him from approaching you, blocking him. “Don’t you dare touch her - The Wendigo didn’t hurt her enough to change her!” Josh shouted, pushing Mike back. You sank back into the dark corner, staring at your hands with glistening eyes.
Mike shoved Josh out of the way and grabbed your arm roughly, dragging you across the room and throwing you out of the cabin, to Josh’s dismay. You shuffled back, looking up at the door, the tears beginning to stream down your cheeks like a river. You could hear them arguing inside, trying to listen. “I’m not letting her stay in here if she got touched by one of those - things!” Mike yelled; you just about heard his voice.
Suddenly the door opened and Josh left the cabin, slamming the door. “Are you okay?” Josh asked you, kneeling down. You nodded, wiping your tears and managing a weak smile at him, not wanting him to be worried. “I’m sorry about Mike-” You shook your head, trying to act like it was fine. “He’ll probably attack you if you come back inside, so - What will you do? I can bring out some blankets and a pillow or-” You shook your head again, gesticulating to the tree. “Y/N-” Josh sighed, shaking his head. “You can’t sleep in a tree, you’ll get hurt,” he uttered, “let’s find somewhere else.” You stopped him, standing up and walking towards the tree. “Wait-!” Josh followed you, watching you as you climbed up the tree. “Fine,” he muttered, annoyed. “You can stay in the tree, I’ll bring you something to eat and a blanket, okay?” Josh ignored your protest, walking back to the cabin.
You climbed down from the tree, deciding to look for your own food. You looked around the area, finding some berries which you began to pick. You sat beside the bush, eating them slowly to make them last. Josh would be shocked to see that you had gone once he had returned, he dropped the food and blanket, looking around for you desperately as he thought you had gotten hurt. Josh would be worried when he found you unconscious beside a bush, leaning down and realising that you had picked the berries off. “How many of these things have you eaten?” Josh asked quietly, hoping you’d respond, but you simply groaned, shuffling uncomfortably. “It’s okay, you’ll be fine,” he affirmed, picking you up and walking towards the cabin, ignoring Mike’s yelling as he brought you in.
Sam stopped Mike, holding him back. “Is she okay?” Sam asked, concerned when she noticed your limp figure in his arms.
Josh wouldn’t answer, he simply laid you down on your bed carefully and draped a blanket over you, placing his hand on your forehead to check your temperature. Josh would be relieved for a moment, looking back at Sam. “She just needs some rest,” he reassured the unsettled group, excluding Mike who just groaned.
“If she’s fine then get her the heck out of here!” Mike demanded, gesticulating to the door, but Josh ignored him.
Josh turned to Sam and Ashley, a distant expression on his face. “Watch her and don’t let Mike come near her, please,” Josh practically pleaded, walking out and sitting in the place his family had left him in the forest, thinking to himself.
-
Once Josh had returned, Mike had turned to him, shoving him. “Where the Hell have you been!? You left us with her and she’ll probably turn into one of those things, soon!” Mike scolded him, but Josh brushed passed him, not caring.
Josh approached Ashley and Sam, who moved so he could check on you. “Was she okay?” Josh asked, hopeful. Sam nodded, smiling. Josh nodded, returning his attention to Ashley, who looked between him and you. “You’re probably cold, let’s sit over there,” Josh suggested, his voice quiet.
Ashley shrugged, following him. “Actually, Josh, could I - Speak to you outside?” Ashley asked, nervous. Josh hesitated, but nodded, following her outside of the cabin. “This is gonna sound bad, but hear me out.” Josh frowned, leaning against the wall. “I think that - this isn’t working out,” she murmured, thinking about him and you and the way he acted with you.
Josh would be shocked, trying to grab her hand, but she stepped back. “What do you mean? A-Ashley, it’s been great-”
“Yeah, it has,” Ashley affirmed, “but - I don’t think it’s right.” Ashley acknowledges the confused expression on his face, hesitating as she continued. “I don’t think we’re meant for each other,” she admitted, “and I’m sorry.” Ashley walked back inside, leaving Josh to ponder over what had happened, shaking his head and rubbing his face, cursing under his breath.
-
Josh tried to chase you as you ran in the direction of the forest, watching you as you attempted to climb yet another tree. “Get your ass down here before I drag you down myself,” Josh threatened playfully, trying to climb the tree, but failing miserably. “Okay, fine, you win,” Josh groaned, smirking at you taunted him from above. “You can’t stay up there forever,” he remarked knowingly, grinning at your reaction. “Are you sure you want to commit to living in a tree for the rest of your life to evade me?” Josh asked, tilting his head partially. You nodded, swinging on a branch and climbing to the centre, sitting against the trunk. “I guess annoying season is finally here,” he commented, to which you agreed, smiling sheepishly. You noticed snow gathering on the branch and you scooped it up, chucking it down at him. Josh brushed the snow off of him, glaring at you. “You didn’t,” he uttered, “really? You’ll get it when you come down here,” he warned, a jovial tone in his voice so you knew he didn’t want to kill you.
“Hey-!” A familiar voice called out near them and Josh turned around, noticing the figure.
You peeked around the branch, craning your neck to see who it was. “Is that who I think it is?” Josh murmured, before approaching the man. “It’s you - You saved my life!” Josh claimed, shaking the man’s hand. “Y/N, get down here!” Josh called to you, but you stayed in the tree, worried. You had been honest to this man and you had admitted your feelings for Josh to him, you didn’t want him to recognise you and mention it. Once you realised that it would be impolite, you climbed down, nervous. “You remember Y/N, don’t you?” Josh asked, hooking an arm around you.
The man nodded, smiling. “Of course I remember you,” he announced, acknowledging the expression on your face before he asked any questions about the two of you. “It’s great to find you both again,” he remarked, pulling you both into a hug. “I was worried that maybe you’d left already,” the man admitted, stepping back. “I’m assuming the others are here, too?” The man guessed, pointing at the cabin with his lantern.
Josh nodded, looking over at the cabin. “They’re all inside, if you’d like to go inside since it’s cold,” Josh led the both of you inside, guiding the man to a chair. You noticed Mike glaring at you again and you backed away, afraid. You frowned, reluctantly slipping out of the cabin and walking towards the tree, climbing up and staying in place.
Half an hour later you heard the door open again and Ashley walked out, Josh following her. “Ashley, wait-”
“Don’t bother, Josh, okay? I just don’t think we belong together,” she confessed.
Josh shook his head, reaching out for her, but she stepped back. “What is this really about, Ashley?” Josh inquired, worried. “Are you angry at me?” Josh pried, hoping that he could fix it.
Ashley shook her head, avoiding his searching gaze. “I’m not angry at you, Josh,” she assured, reluctant before continuing with what she wanted to say. “It’s about Y/N,” she stated and Josh would be confused.
“Did-Did she tell you to do this-?” Josh asked, his voice quiet.
Ashley shook her head again, shifting on her feet. “I - I can see that you like her, Josh, and don’t try to deny it either. I think that you both belong together more than me and you. Anyway,” she continued, “I - I might try things out with Chris.” Ashley shrugged, walking back into the cabin, leaving Josh to kick at the snow, scoffing. You watched him, tears blurring your vision.
You reluctantly climbed down the tree, wanting to help him. Once Josh noticed you approaching, he glared at you and you stopped in place. ‘I didn’t know,’ you signed to him, the tears beginning to run down your cheeks.
Josh stepped back as you stepped closer, not daring to let you come close to him. “Stay away from me,” Josh muttered, turning away and walking back into the cabin. You felt something pierce your heart and a sob escaped your lips, before you turned and ran away as fast as you could.
-
Josh had felt guilty for what had happened and he went outside to check on you, but you were gone. Josh became panicked, stricken with fear as he thought that you had gotten hurt. Sam and the others helped him search for you in the forest, but they all couldn’t find any trace of you. Josh stopped when he noticed droplets of blood on the floor, which he followed, sensing that it was your’s. Josh stopped suddenly when he noticed a massive amount of blood in the snow and he frowned, averting his greenish-yellow eyes to the floor. Josh’s ears suddenly lifted when he heard sniffling and soft crying, following the noises to a tree, which you were hidden behind. You were curled up underneath the tree, a long cut along your stomach. Josh changed back to himself, kneeling down beside you. “Y/N,” he uttered, his voice choked and shaking as he lifted the lower part of your top to get a better look at the cut. You whimpered, trying to hide it. “Who did this to you?” Josh inquired, trying to control his anger. You hesitated, before showing him the knife you held in your hand. Josh realised that you had done this to yourself and he shook his head, taking the knife from you and trying to stall the bleeding, carefully lifting you. “Don’t ever do that again, okay?” Josh scolded you, his voice firm. “If I catch you trying that-”
“Josh!?” Ashley’s voice rang out nearby and suddenly a piercing cry followed, a cry of a Wendigo. Josh would panic, looking down at you as he didn’t know what to do. ‘Go,’ you mouthed to him. Josh hesitantly laid you down, slowly backing away, though he didn’t want to leave you. Josh changed back to his wolf form, running as fast as he could. You groaned, glancing down at the wound you had created. You felt weak; fatigued. You leaned back against the tree, your eyelids fluttering shut.
Once you woke up, someone was carrying you, but you couldn’t see who it was; your vision was blurry. Once your vision cleared, you realised it was Josh who was carrying you. Once they had all gotten back to the cabin, Josh lowered you onto the bed again, not daring to meet your gaze. You noticed his necklace on the bedside table, reaching over, but he stopped you. “Do not touch that,” he spoke quietly, nervous. You withdrew your hand, glancing up at him, curious. “I’m sorry, it just - means a lot to me,” he uttered, a weak smile on his face. “How is your wound?” Josh asked, changing the subject. “I patched you up when you were unconscious,” he affirmed, gesticulating to the bandage. “I knew you wouldn’t like stitches so, I - avoided that,” he remarked, to which you nodded gravely. “O-One thing I want to know is - Why did you do it?” Josh asked, genuinely curious. You turned your face away, shrugging. “So you just decided to create a massive cut on your stomach which turned into an open wound for no reason?” Josh questioned sarcastically, annoyed. “Just tell me the truth, okay,” he demanded, trying not to lose his temper again.
You reluctantly turned to face him again, worried about what he might think of you. ‘I did it because I thought that I deserved it,’ you admitted, ‘because of what happened with you and Ashley - it’s my fault.’
Josh shook his head, glancing down at you. “It wasn’t your fault, Y/N,” Josh assured, placing his hand on your’s. “I shouldn’t have taken my anger out on you,” he admitted, feeling like an idiot. “I’m so sorry,” he uttered, his voice hushed, close to a whisper. “But, this,” he gesticulated to the bandage, “that was up there with some of the stupidest shit you’ve ever done.” You nodded, staring at the ceiling through glistening eyes. “Don’t cry,” he murmured, before he brushed away your tears with his thumb gently.
-
Once you had gotten better, you hung out with Josh more often. A few days later you were on the way back to the cabin with him, after the both of you had been exploring the area more. Josh held open the door for you, shocked when he noticed Ashley and Chris together, kissing on the sofa. “You have got to be kidding me,” Josh muttered, to which Chris and Ashley nervously looked over at him.
Ashley groaned, rubbing her temple. “What now, Josh?” Ashley uttered, annoyed. “We aren’t together anymore, why is this a problem for you?” Ashley questioned, glaring at him. You nervously glanced at him, not knowing what to do and feeling awkward. “You’re together with Y/N now, aren’t you?” Josh shook his head, reluctantly glancing back at you, before looking back at Ashley again.
You frowned, shaking your head. You walked passed them, not wanting to get involved with the situation. “Trust me, Ashley, arguing with you right now is quite possibly the last thing I had wanted to be doing tonight, so I won’t.” Josh walked out of the room, noticing you sitting in the corner. Josh slowly approached you, kneeling down in front of you. “Fuck what everybody else thinks, Y/N,” he began, “you’re my best friend, no take-backs, okay?” You smiled weakly, nodding and hugging him.
You pulled out of the hug, meeting his gaze. ‘Hanging out together - that’s normal, right?’ You asked, nervous.
Josh nodded, surprised. “Tell you what - There had better be coffee in here somewhere,” Josh stood up and searched the room, until he found a couple pouches for the both of you, making two mugs of coffee. “Here,” he passed a mug to you, sitting beside you with his. “I’ll be honest with you, I wasn’t sure about being with Ashley for a time, anyway.” You glanced at him, confused. “I even - Thought about what it would be like if I.. Was with you, instead.” You turned to face him, placing the mug down and listening patiently to him. “I just.. I like you, Y/N, but - I don’t know what to do.” You gently turned his face to your’s, leaning in slowly, before kissing him softly. Once you’d pulled away, your eyes locked with his. Josh then pulled you closer to him, closing the gap and kissing you again, a deeper kiss.
Sam walked into the room, surprised when she saw the both of you together. Josh would be startled, moving back. “Oh my God, please don’t tell them,” Josh spoke, his words stumbling over each other. You frowned, staring down at your hands. Josh looked back at you, hesitating, before pulling you close to him. “You know what - I.. I don’t care,” he uttered, smiling at you. “I love you,” he whispered, “tell them if you want, I’ll just be in here with Y/N.” Sam stepped out of the room, giggling quietly.

Josh Washington X Reader Angst with a happy ending prompt
Josh would grimace when he noticed you stood at his doorstep, and you couldn’t bare to see the hatred he conveyed for you, so you looked away, a pained expression on your face. “What are you doing here?” Josh questioned, and you glanced up at him nervously.
“I didn’t know where else to go,” you answered, and he grunted.
“Why don’t you go and stay with Alice again, then?” Josh inquired, annoyed.
“She’s on holiday with Eugene, and - she wouldn’t let me stay in her cabin anyway, because - we also had a disagreement,” you murmured, and Josh would try to think of something else, but he couldn’t. “L-Look, I can see that you don’t want me here, so I’ll just go-”
“No, wait,” Josh interrupted, and you turned back to him, hopeful. “You can stay, but only for tonight,” he gave in, and you would be grateful to him, walking inside when he stepped aside for you.
Josh heard you open the slide door to the garden during the night, and he reluctantly got up to check on you. “Y/n?” Josh broke the silence, and you looked back at him, hugging yourself as you turned around, nervous. “What are you doing out here?” Josh inquired, and you shrugged.
“I just - Couldn’t sleep,” you answered, sinking on one of the swings.
Josh hesitantly sat on the swing next to you, but you were too scared to look at him. “Why did you do it?” Josh asked, and you bowed your head. “Why did you attack Sam?” Josh pried, wanting to know what had made you do it.
“I-..” You murmured, embarrassed. “I thought-.. I thought she was going to take you away from me,” you admitted, and Josh frowned, shaking his head as he looked anywhere, but you.
“That would have never happened, Y/n,” he claimed, “I was never lying when I told you that I loved you.” Josh then managed to bring himself to look at you, and he noticed that your eyes were slightly red, and you had faint bags under them. “Have you been sleeping?” Josh inquired, concerned. You shook your head, fidgeting with your hands. Josh remembered that he should still be upset with you after what you did to Sam, and he stood up from the swing. “I’m gonna go back to bed,” he murmured, “you should probably do the same.” Josh then walked back into the cabin, and you sighed shakily, before you stood up, returning to the spare room.
You heard Josh whimpering in his room, and you panicked, thinking someone was hurting him as you rushed into his room, scaring him as he shuffled away from you; you realised that he must have seen something in his room, and he must have gotten scared. “It’s okay,” you reassured him, “I won’t hurt you.” Josh began to calm down, and you sat beside him, wrapping your arms around him. Josh returned the hug, feeling safer as he buried his face into your shoulder.
Josh held you at arm’s length, feeling bad for how he’d treated you recently. “I - I just wanted to say - I’m sorry, f-for how I treated you,” he stated, a pained expression on his face. “I should have reminded you that I loved you more often,” he mused, “a-and that Sam means nothing to me.”
“Is-.. Is she really just a friend, Josh?” You pried, and he nodded quickly, holding your hand. “Do you promise?” You asked, and he nodded.
“I promise,” he responded, and you tried to believe him, pulling him into another hug.

I am sorry about that. If anyone wants anything that's done quicker, then headcanon requests are the way to go right now. 😂 But just know that your requests have been seen and are in the works right now! Some being Syzoth X Noob!Reader, Pining!Syzoth X Pining!Reader, Syzoth X Werewolf!Reader, two Josh Washington X Reader fics and many more!

Werewolf Josh Washington X FemWerewolf!Reader Jealousy Prompt with a hopeful and cute ending
!TW: Anxiety, jealousy, mention of being harassed!
Josh grimaced when he opened the door to an unfamiliar teen boy; he immediately felt as if he couldn’t trust the boy, and he wasn’t sure why; he put it down to the idea that he had never met him, and he wasn’t sure if he was one of the outcasts. “Hey, er,” the boy began nervously in a monotone voice; he appeared the same age as Josh and the others in you and his pack. “Is Y/n here?” He inquired, and Josh winced, feeling himself heating up slightly, and he wasn’t sure why; he was worried about the boy trying to steal you from him.
“Y-Y/n?” Josh mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck, and trying to act as if he didn’t recognise your name. “U-Uh,” he stammered, looking away from the boy, “never heard of her - t-them. But you should probably stay away from them, they sound like someone who isn’t - good, yeah, not good.”
“Oh,” he murmured, disappointed. “She told me that she lives here,” he explained, “said that I could stay with her and her friends.”
Josh grimaced, shaking his head. “Why would she say that?” Josh retorted, and the boy would be surprised.
“Josh? Who is it?” You inquired, rushing down the stairs.
Josh turned to face you, a hurt look on his face. “Y/n, w-who is this guy?” Josh questioned, and you looked around Josh to see who it was, smiling when you recognised it to be the boy you’d saved in the forest; his name was Embry, and you trusted him to stay with you and your friends because you’d found him in his wolf form being threatened by one of the Outcast pack.
“A new friend of our’s,” you answered, and Josh grunted; he felt as if he couldn’t bring himself to try and make friends with him. “His name is Embry, and I found him being harassed by an Outcast,” you revealed, and Josh huffed, before he walked away from you both. “Come in, make yourself at home,” you encouraged, standing aside so Embry could enter the cabin.
You looked around the cabin for Josh after he’d been avoiding you and Embry, wondering why he was being so unwelcoming toward him. You frowned when you noticed him curled up on the bed, before you lifted your left hand to knock on the door gently. “Hey,” you broke the silence, “are you okay?”
Josh shook his head, a pained expression on his face. “Please tell him to go,” Josh practically pleaded, and you guessed that he was referring to Embry.
You scoffed, shaking your head. “No, Josh,” you responded, “he’s one of us, and always will be. Why is that a problem for you?”
Josh groaned, annoyed. You sat on the edge of the bed, attempting to touch his shoulder, but he shuffled away from you before you could. “It’s just - you’re mine, not Embry’s,” he whined, and you realised, grinning; he was jealous, and you’d rarely seen him jealous like this before.
You lowered yourself beside him, before you wrapped your arms around his waist. “I know,” you reassured him, “it’s not like I’m going to leave you for Embry, Josh; I could never do that. Soulmates don’t ever split with their true other halves.” Josh smiled weakly, feeling a little better as he turned to face you carefully. “I love you, Josh, and that’ll never change, okay?” You promised, and Josh nodded, before he connected his lips to your’s.
☾༒☯︎︎
Josh silently fumed at a distance whilst he was watching you and Embry talking, and he decided to join you both. “Hey, babe,” you greeted when you noticed him approaching you, and he smiled lovingly at you, before he leaned forward to kiss your cheek.
“Hey, princess,” Josh returned, before he turned to face Embry, offering him his hand to shake. “Nice to meet you, I’m Josh, Y/n’s husband,” he stated, adding extra emphasis to the word ‘husband’.
Embry awkwardly shook his hand, smiling. “Nice to meet you, too,” Embry returned, “as you already know, my name is Embry.”
Josh nodded, snaking an arm around your waist protectively. “I’m sorry that we got off on the wrong foot yesterday,” Josh expressed, but Embry shook his head; he was used to being avoided and mistrusted. You smiled over at Josh, hoping that they’d now both become friends.
“So - Are you and Embry friends now?” You inquired after you’d finished brushing your teeth in the bathroom - the door was ajar so Josh could hear you in bed.
Josh scoffed, shaking his head. “Of course we aren’t,” Josh answered, disappointing you as you groaned, leaning against the bathroom door with your arms folded. “I don’t want to be friends with someone who is trying to steal my wife,” Josh muttered, and you grunted; you couldn’t believe him.
“He isn’t trying to steal me from you-”
Josh guffawed, looking up at you. “He is,” Josh contradicted, irritating you.
You sighed heavily, before you lifted your hand to rub your forehead; you were too tired to argue with him. “What makes you believe that he is?” You questioned, trying not to raise your voice as you could feel a headache coming on.
“He was flirting with you-”
“He wasn’t flirting with me-”
“I think I know when someone is flirting with you, Y/n,” he hissed, scowling up at you.
You gave in, wanting the fight to end as you climbed into bed beside him. “Josh, just - Don’t worry so much, okay? I love you more than anyone else,” you expressed, “and that will never, ever change, I promise, like I already did yesterday.”
“Can you please just - Not talk to him anymore?” Josh requested, and you rolled your eyes, before you nodded, deciding to not talk to Embry in front of Josh anymore. “Thank you,” he responded, before he wrapped his arms around you whilst snuggling closer to you.
☾༒☯︎︎
“Don’t lie to me!” Josh cried as he rushed after you; he’d been anxious after he’d seen Embry waving and smiling sheepishly in your direction outside earlier.
You groaned, sharply turning to face him, stopping him in his tracks before he could bump into you. “I’m not lying to you-”
“You are,” he whined, “I know you’ve been talking to him-”
“I swear I haven’t been talking to him, Josh,” you interrupted, wishing he’d stop his acts of jealousy, now.
“Just tell me the truth,” he practically begged, and you grunted, frustrated; you could also feel yourself beginning to heat up because you were angry.
“Fine!” You snapped, and he faltered, falling quiet. “I’ve still been talking to him, is that such a crime?” You questioned, and he scowled, before he turned away from you, folding his arms. You sighed, feeling guilty for raising your voice to him. “Josh-”
“I told you not to talk to him,” Josh murmured, “all he does is flirt with you.”
You shook your head, wondering why they couldn’t just be friends like he was with everyone else within the pack. “For crying out loud, Josh - Embry hasn’t been flirting with me,” you claimed, “stop being so jealous-”
“I’m not jealous,” Josh interrupted, turning to face you again, “at all! He just gives you that weird flirty look, and-”
“He’s never given me a ‘weird flirty look’,” you assured, before you wrapped your arms around Josh, trying to comfort him. Josh returned the hug, smiling weakly. “Please just talk to him, Josh; I want you both to be friends,” you pleaded, and Josh reluctantly nodded, deciding he should try, for the sake of you and his relationship.
“Okay,” Josh replied, “I - I’ll try, Y/n.”
You expressed relief, lifting your hand to stroke his hair. “Thank you,” you whispered, glad that he was willing to try to make friends with Embry this time.

Werewolf!Josh Washington X Werewolf!Reader Cute and Fluffy Prompt with angst
!TW: Swearing (‘crap’), hint of bullying/bullying, anxiety, supernatural themes(?) (mention of werewolves)!
“Are you mad at me?” You whined - Josh had been ignoring you for most of the day, and hadn’t spoken a word to you yet.
Josh looked up at you, surprised; he hadn’t been mad at you, he had just been busy with the homework he’d been procrastinating over. “No-! Why would I be mad at you?” Josh inquired, frowning when he noticed that you seemed sad. “You seem down,” he mused, standing up from his chair, “let me help you with that. Is there anything you wanna do that you think will cheer you up?”
“We could watch a Disney movie,” you answered, and Josh groaned, moving away from you as he sank back into his seat.
“That’s so lame,” he remarked, and you began to sulk, amusing him as he began to chuckle softly.
“Fine, we don’t have to watch a Disney film, just - stop ignoring me,” you practically pleaded, and Josh nodded, holding your hand to comfort you as you seemed sad again.
“You can stay in here with me whilst I try and finish this crap math homework,” he suggested, and you nodded, sitting on the edge of his bed, and feeling much better.
~-~
“Take that back!” You cried after Josh had called you a monster during an argument, and he immediately felt guilty for what he’d said.
Josh wrapped his arms around you as you began to cry, and tried to comfort you by rubbing your back. “I’m so sorry, Y/n, I - I didn’t mean that; I was just angry,” he stated, before he held you at arm’s length. “I love you so much,” he added gently, “what - what can I do to make it up to you? T-Tell me and I’ll do it.”
You smiled weakly up at him, your eyes glinting. “Wanna go see a movie with me?” You inquired, your voice close to a whisper, and a soft smile began to play on Josh’s lips, before he nodded slowly. You then hugged him tightly, glad that the fight had finally ended; you hated to fight with him. “I love you,” you expressed, your voice partially muffled against his neck.
“I love you, too,” he returned, lifting his hand to stroke your hair.
~-~
“Let’s blow this joint,” Josh uttered after Mike had started making fun of you openly; he, alongside you and Josh had been invited by Matt to the secret birthday party he’d hosted whilst his parents were away.
“No,” you replied, prying your arm from his grasp. “It - It isn’t bothering me, Josh,” you claimed, forcing a smile up at him, “besides - We can’t just leave; it’s Matt’s birthday today, remember?”
Josh grunted, annoyed as he nodded gravely. “Then - May I borrow that book of your’s?” Josh requested, and you lifted an eyebrow, suspicious of him.
“Why?” You questioned, not wanting him to use your high school notepad as a weapon.
“I just wanna read up on the wonders of English literature,” he lied, but you immediately stopped believing him when you noticed the mischievous glint in his brilliant green eyes.
“No, you don’t,” you contradicted, sliding the notepad back into your bag, “you just want to hit Mike with it.” Josh rolled his eyes, deciding to give in as he knew you wouldn’t give him the notepad now.
~-~
Josh was still struggling to trust Embry, the teen who’d recently joined the pack, because he was still ‘getting too close to you’. “I love that show, too!” Embry remarked, and Josh grimaced; he’d been watching the both of you in his wolf form, and was trying to hide behind the closest bush to the bench you were both sat at in the woods surrounding you and Alice’s cabin.
“Cool,” you replied simply, “I’m sure Josh wouldn’t mind watching it with us again.” Embry tried not to feel disappointed when you mentioned Josh, and you picked up on his change of mood, but wouldn’t say anything. “Speaking of,” you continued awkwardly, “we should get back; I don’t want Josh to worry about me getting hurt out here. Especially after Alice said she saw an Outcast near here.” Embry nodded gravely, standing up from the bench once you had, before he dragged himself after you. Josh loped away as fast as he could, and luckily went unseen by you and Embry.

Josh Washington X Werewolf!Reader Fluffy and Cute Prompt with a cute ending [Connected to last prompt]
!TW: Hint of bullying/being bullied (not extremely detailed), threat(?)!
“You okay?” Josh inquired, and you nodded, wincing when you remembered that it was your turn to put down a card. “Hey, if you could have any super power in the World,” he began, changing the subject, “what would it be?”
“I already have a superpower,” you answered, “it’s called - my head never hits the ceiling.” Josh chuckled, amused. You wouldn’t dare tell him about the you being a werewolf part; you were still worried that he’d run away from you if you did. “What would you like your superpower to be?” You inquired, and Josh hesitated, thinking about the question for a moment.
“I’d like to be able to read minds,” he answered, surprising you; you then wondered if he’d not actually mind you being a werewolf, or changing him into one, because you normally could read Alice’s mind; you both considered yourselves to be in the same pack.
“That would be cool,” you mused, forcing a smile up at him; you felt as if the moment wasn’t right yet.
☾༒☯︎︎
“I don’t appreciate your height enough,” you admitted after Josh had retrieved your bag from the top of the set of lockers it had been thrown on, and Josh grinned, flattered. “I’m sorry,” you whined, accepting your bag, and slinging it over your shoulder.
“It’s okay,” he reassured you, intertwining his fingers with your’s. “I know it’s frustrating being a little - short, and-”
“I’m not short,” you whined, “I’m fun-size.”
Josh nodded, placing his free hand on your shoulder. “Good - I’m glad you think that,” he replied, “and I think you are fun-size too.”
“Why-? Because you can easily pick me up and tickle me?” You questioned, but winced when you realised that you’d gotten offended by your own statement.
Josh smirked, wrapping his arms around your waist. “Do you want me to?” Josh inquired, and you shook your head quickly, your eyebrows furrowing slightly.
“If you do, I’ll kick your junk,” you promised, and Josh raised his hands in surrender, chuckling whilst smiling sheepishly.
☾༒☯︎︎
Josh was worried about you as you had been in the bathroom for a long time, getting dressed to go to a party with him. “Hey,” Josh spoke through the door whilst knocking on it softly a couple of times, “are you okay? You’ve been in there for almost an hour-”
“I’m fine, I just,” you interrupted, groaning, “you don’t know the struggle when all shirts and pants are too long on you.” Josh smiled sympathetically, leaning against the wall beside the bathroom door. When you came out, he moved away from the door, smiling warmly at you. You smiled back, before you began to approach him shyly. “G-Get down here,” you commanded, and Josh leaned down to kiss you lovingly.

Josh Washington X FemWerewolf!Reader Angsty Prompt with cute moments and a fluffy ending
!TW: Swearing, anxiety, mention of home invasion, mention of nightmare, implied suffering from depression, self-put downs, self doubt, doubt, mention of cheating/word ‘cheated’, implied suicide attempt, presence of blood/word ‘blood’, mention of hospital/hospital!
You would be surprised when you woke up to Josh standing at the front door of you and Alice’s cabin, appearing agitated as he looked around continuously and rubbed the back of his neck. “Why are you here? It’s 2:30 in the morning, Josh,” you complained; you were tired and just wanted to go back to bed.
“Does it look like my ass gives a fuck?” Josh retorted, before he let himself into your cabin, feeling unsafe standing outside. Josh then felt bad for snapping at you, and he sighed, lifting his hand to his forehead as he turned around to face you again. “I - I’m sorry, I just-..” Josh murmured, groaning.
You expressed concern for him; you’d never seen him acting like this before. “Josh,” you began gently as you closed the front door, “what’s going on?”
“There - There was someone in my house,” Josh answered, stammering briefly, “I - I was scared, so I ran away, and decided to come here.” You sighed heavily, nodding, before you decided you should take a look in his cabin to see if the person was still there.
As you walked toward Josh’s cabin with Josh following behind you, you felt anxious, and as if something was wrong. You tried not to change into your other form, and had to suppress a growl because he still wasn’t aware of you being a werewolf, and you were too afraid to tell him because you didn’t want to lose him; you thought he’d avoid you if he knew the truth about what you were. You warily walked into the cabin, wincing when you noticed that a lot of his furniture had been moved, and there were shards of glass on the floor. “What the-..” You whispered, before you began to look around for any broken windows, but you couldn’t see any. You turned to face Josh, a puzzled expression on your face. “Did you see how they might have gotten in?” You questioned, and Josh winced, looking away from you as he thought about the question for a minute.
“I think they got in through the front door,” Josh answered, and you would be surprised, tilting your head partially.
“Was it locked?” You pried, and Josh shook his head, prompting you to grunt. “You should have locked the door!” You scolded, and Josh groaned, shaking his head.
“This is my cabin, Y/n,” Josh retorted, “I can do what I want with it!”
“You’re such an idiot,” you uttered; you couldn’t believe him. You then made to walk down the stairs, and Josh rushed after you, annoyed.
“Where are you going?” Josh inquired, and you mumbled ‘home’ grumpily; you couldn’t believe how he’d woken you up after someone or something entered his cabin because he’d left his front door unlocked.
☾༒☯︎︎
Since Josh felt unsafe in his cabin after the invasion, Alice agreed to let him stay in you and her’s, giving him the spare room and cleaning it up nicely for him. “Hey.” You would be startled by his voice behind you; you were still on edge after you’d had a nightmare, which prompted you to get out of bed, and to go outside to sit on the steps of the porch; you often found that it relaxed you to do so after a little while. “Sorry,” Josh spoke gently; he’d never intended to scare you.
“I - It’s fine,” you reassured him, forcing a weak smile up at him, before you returned your gaze to your hands.
Josh sat down beside you, smiling warmly over at you, before he looked over the trees ahead of you both. “So - What are you doing out here this time of night?” Josh inquired, curious; he hadn’t been able to sleep, either.
You frowned when you remembered the nightmare, a pained expression on your face; you had been having the same nightmare of your parents fighting with the outcast pack. “I-.. I had a nightmare,” you answered, and Josh realised, placing his hand on top of your right one to comfort you.
You would be surprised, looking over at him; you weren’t expecting his action. Josh then withdrew his hand, rubbing his neck shyly. “C-Can I tell you something?” Josh asked, and you nodded, though you were nervous about what his question might be. “I - I love you,” Josh admitted, and you wouldn’t know what to say, looking away from him.
“Don’t practice your comedy on me,” you murmured, a hurt look on your face; you never thought he’d feel the same way you felt for him.
Josh shook his head quickly, disappointed by your reply; he didn’t like to hear that you thought he didn’t mean what he’d said. “I - I’m not,” Josh contradicted, desperate for you to believe him, “I love you, Y/n, I really do. I - I was too scared to tell you before, but, n-now..”
You turned to face him, your dark grey eyes glinting. “You.. You really love me?” You mused, and Josh nodded, cupping your hands in both of his. “J-Josh, I-.. Don’t know what to say,” you responded, “I never thought you’d feel the same way as I do.. You always have so many pretty girls following you around school-”
“You’re better than them,” he assured, “they’re nothing compared to you.”
A smile began to play on your lips, and blood began to rush to your cheeks. “Josh, I-..” You whispered, before you hesitantly shuffled closer to him, until you could briefly connect your lips to his. “I - I love you, too,” you returned, and Josh smiled sheepishly, before he pressed his lips against your’s to initiate another loving and warm kiss.
☾༒☯︎︎
You had been upset with Josh, and arguing with him after you’d found out that he’d cheated on you with Sam unintentionally, but he’d tried to avoid you because he didn’t want to argue with you; he hated arguing with you. “I swear to God, Josh, if you go to that party tonight, I will-”
“I’m sorry, Y/n,” Josh interrupted, “but if I stay with you tonight we’ll only start arguing again, and I don’t want that to happen.” Josh then walked out of the cabin, and you sank on the sofa, trying to fight back the tears which were beginning to invade your eyes; you couldn’t believe that things had suddenly turned so sour between you and Josh; you hated that things were the way they were between you and him now.
When Josh came back home to you no longer in the living room, he dragged himself up the stairs, thinking he’d find you in your bedroom because he couldn’t find you downstairs, but when he did find you in the bedroom, you were curled up on the floor, your hands stained by blood, and t-shirt stained by blood around the stomach area. “Y/n!” Josh cried, running over to you, before he crouched down beside you, trying not to panic. “Y-You’re going to be okay,” Josh assured in a gentle and shaky voice, before he picked you up and ran you out of the cabin, intending to get you to the nearest hospital in his car.
Josh stayed by your side all night at the hospital, a pained expression on his face; he wished that he hadn’t left to go to the party, now. “I - I’m so sorry,” Josh whispered shakily, “I love you so much.”
“If I matter so much to you,” you began weakly, beginning to stir, “then why’d you leave me alone?”
Josh faltered, a hurt look on his face. “I was worried that, if I stayed, we’d both start fighting again, and I didn’t want to have to fight with you again,” he answered, and you frowned. “I hate fighting with you, Y/n,” Josh murmured, “I just - want things to be good between us again.”
You nodded, feeling exactly the same way. “I-.. I want that, too,” you expressed, and Josh smiled weakly, before he intertwined the fingers of his right hand with the fingers of your right hand. “Can - Can we try to stop fighting?” You requested, and Josh nodded, willing to try, too; he was desperate for things to be like they usually were between you and him. You reflected his smile, feeling much better, now.
☾༒☯︎︎
Josh would be annoyed to catch Alice and Eugene making out on the back of his small truck, when he had to go into town to get you something for your birthday. “Would you stop making out on my truck?” Josh practically pleaded, and both Alice and Eugene groaned, before they climbed over the side to get off of his truck. “I am way too sober for this shit,” Josh uttered, before he climbed up into the driver’s seat.
“I’m sick of being walked over by you, Josh,” Eugene hissed, looking into the driver’s seat window.
Josh groaned, shaking his head. “Noted, acknowledged,” Josh paused for a moment to think, “deleted, shrug emoji.” Eugene scowled; he couldn’t believe his friend sometimes, though he shouldn’t be surprised at all by the way he’s acting because he acts in this manner a lot.
☾༒☯︎︎
“Just kiss me, asshole,” you uttered after he’d been bragging about winning a board game to you, annoying you as you knew that he’d actually been cheating to win. Josh smirked, before he sat down beside you on the sofa, leaning forward to connect his lips to your’s. “I hate you,” you murmured, and Josh couldn’t help, but chuckle, amused by the way you were acting.
“Why?” Josh questioned, acting as if he were surprised. “I’m great,” he claimed, making you groan.
“Yeah, great at cheating at games,” you corroborated, and Josh grunted, disappointed.
“I wasn’t breaking the rules, at all,” Josh contradicted, and you scoffed, but decided to give in, not wanting to start a fight with him over it.
You leaned against him, resting your head on his shoulder. “Okay,” you responded simply, “I believe you. You’re the true winner.”
Josh beamed victoriously, and you couldn’t help, but giggle, finding his smile funny. “Why are you laughing at me?” Josh whined, and you started laughing even more uncontrollably. “Are you clinically insane or just incredibly annoying?” Josh questioned, and you shrugged, lifting an eyebrow in his direction.
“Can’t I be both?” You posed, and Josh smirked, nodding.
“You can be whatever you want to be, baby,” Josh answered, before he pressed his lips against your’s to kiss you again lovingly.

Werewolf!Josh Washington X Fem!Werewolf Reader Stargazing Prompt
!TW: Mention of hunting/Word ‘hunted’, word ‘killed’/mention of death of character’s family, mention of giving birth/implied mention of pregnancy!
“I never thought something so beautiful could exist in nature, but,” you began, gesticulating to the view ahead of you both; you and Josh were stood upon a flowery, peaceful hill which overlooked the snowy clearing and mountains in the distance.
Josh smiled sheepishly over at you; he guessed that you must have come across the hill on your travels before you and Alice found him. “This is why you made me drive three hours out into the middle of nowhere?” Josh assumed, and you nodded, grinning back at him. “Y’know - we could have just climbed up onto our roof to do some stargazing,” Josh stated, and you winced, shaking your head as you thought about it.
“Our roof may not be the safest place for us to stargaze,” you reminded him, and he nodded gravely; you both had been worried recently about the Outcast pack as they had been honing in on the area, and also you and Josh had made a chaotic discovery of the thin pale creatures called Wendigos.
You sat beside the oak tree close to the peak of the hill, and Josh sat beside you, smiling warmly over at you. “I wouldn’t mind falling asleep out here,” Josh mused, and you nodded, remembering how you and Alice used to curl up together when you were younger to sleep after you’d both explored the area and hunted together.
“Me and Alice used to sleep up here,” you stated, and Josh glanced over at you again, before he placed his hand on top of your’s; he knew it must be difficult for you to remember the past after your family had been killed by the Outcasts.
You smiled weakly down at his hand, before you looked up at him, your dark grey eyes glinting. You then shyly looked away from him; you still felt overwhelmed by your feelings for him, even though you both were now married. Josh looked back up at the dark sky, and he got excited for a moment, thinking he’d seen a shooting star. “Is that a-” Josh faltered, wincing when he realised that the light was flashing. “Wait, no,” Josh murmured, embarrassed, “just an airplane.” You couldn’t help, but giggle, amused. “Hey, er,” Josh tried to spark up a new conversation to cover up his embarrassment, “wouldn’t it be cool to name a star after yourself?”
You nodded slowly as you thought about it, and tried not to continue your brief fit of laughter as you didn’t want to make him feel worse about his previous observation. “Yeah, it would,” you corroborated, and Josh expressed relief, smiling subconsciously as he looked back at you again. “Aren’t they beautiful?” You asked, and Josh nodded, smirking; he had got an idea, clearly.
“Yes, they are,” he answered, “but - they are nothing compared to the stars I’ve seen in your eyes.”
You whined, looking away from him when you felt your cheeks heating up. “Josh,” you whispered, flustered.
“You’re adorable,” Josh remarked, before he leaned forward to connect his lips to your’s.
You then lowered yourself as you felt more comfortable, and Josh followed you, smiling over at you lovingly, before he looked back up at the sky. “Shooting star!” You squeaked, and Josh chuckled, before he shuffled closer to you. “Make a wish, Josh,” you encouraged, and Josh nodded, before he thought of something he could wish for. “What did you wish for?” You inquired, curious.
“I wished that we would - Always live peacefully, like we are now,” Josh informed, his voice soft, “and that - we’d - if you wanted to, of course - have another litter of pups, maybe?”
You scoffed, before you playfully slapped his shoulder, prompting him to start laughing. “You’re crazy,” you replied, “it was painful enough giving birth to the first batch.” Josh winced when he remembered, nodding; you’d been painfully squeezing his hand whilst you were giving birth to you and his pups that day. “Anything else that you wished for?” You questioned, lifting a skeptical eyebrow in his direction.
“Well,” Josh began slowly, “I - was wondering-.. Imagine if it could always be this way, even in the city.” You faltered, your eyes darkening slightly. “Maybe - We could move to the city, one day?” Josh suggested, but knew that you’d say ‘no’ when he noticed the look on your face.
“That’s too dangerous, Josh,” you claimed, “if anyone found out about what we are-”
“No one would find out,” Josh interrupted, “I promise, let’s just - give it a try-”
“I’m sorry, Josh,” you interjected, “but I can’t put our family in danger like that.” Josh gave in, though he was disappointed by your response. You intertwined your fingers with his, noticing that he’d fallen quiet, and seemed upset. “I just don’t want you, our pups or our friends getting hurt,” you explained, “I’m sorry, Josh.” Josh nodded, forcing a smile over at you. “I love you,” you concluded in a light voice, and Josh returned the significant three words, before he pulled you closer to him to kiss you again.

Werewolf Josh Washington X Fem!Werewolf Reader Family prompt with fluff, light angst and cute moments
!TW: Mention of hunting, swearing, implied presence of blood, mention of pain (not extremely detailed), needle/mention of needle, stitching/mention of stitching, injury detail (scratches - not extremely detailed), word ‘stitched’, mention of being wounded/word ‘wounded’!
You were watching the pups, excluding Charlie, who were now quite big, playing together, and smiled over at Josh when you noticed him stood beside you; he’d walked over to you when he caught sight of you on the hill. ‘How long has it been?’ Josh phased in a thoughtful tone, and you looked back down at the pups who were growing too quickly.
‘It feels like it’s only been months,’ you expressed, but obviously it hadn’t only been months, it had been a few years now. You frowned when you noticed the look on Josh’s face, and leaned over to nuzzle his cheek to comfort him. ‘Hey, do you - want me to distract you?’ You asked, and Josh would be confused, looking over at you.
‘How?’ Josh questioned, and you became flustered, looking away from him.
‘You know how,’ you answered, whimpering, and Josh smirked when he realised.
‘Won’t the others wonder where we are?’ Josh pried, and you grew impatient as you purposefully pushed him gently with your front right paw.
‘No,’ you responded too quickly, ‘no one needs to know where we are all the time, Josh. Now follow me, I know a good place.’ You loped down the hill, and Josh followed, chuckling softly.
☾༒☯︎︎
Josh would be worried when you’d gone out hunting, and not returned when you usually did. ‘What’s wrong?’ Alice inquired when she came upon Josh pacing outside of his cabin, and he stopped, loping over to her.
‘Have you seen Y/n?’ Josh asked, and Alice shook her head, suddenly finding herself worried about you as she remembered you’d left a few hours ago. ‘Shit,’ Josh muttered, beginning to panic as he repeated ‘shit’ in a louder voice. Josh then took off with the intention of finding you, running in the direction of the forest, and the path you usually took to go to the waterfall; he’d remembered you telling him that you were going to hunt near the waterfall, today, so he hoped you must still be close by. Alice followed behind him, running as fast as she could, with her head and ears consistently turning as she looked and listened out for you. Josh tried to pick up your scent in the area, and when he did, he pushed himself to run faster as he followed it by digging his claws into the ground more which propelled him forwards. Josh faltered when he noticed a white and red lump ahead of him on the ground, and he ran towards you, his heart beating overwhelmingly fast as he was worried he’d lost you, but when he got closer, he could see that you were still breathing. ‘Y/n,’ Josh whispered, nuzzling your cheek with his nose to try and wake you up, but you wouldn’t react at all. ‘Please wake up,’ Josh begged, his voice trembling. Josh gently bit down on your flank, before he pulled you onto his back, running toward the cabin as he knew he’d need to get you back so Alice could treat you with her emergency medical equipment.
Josh changed back when you began to wake up, whining aloud as the pain you were feeling was excruciating. “Look at me,” Josh spoke gently, placing his hand on your paw, and you lifted your head to look at him, trying to distract yourself with his brilliant green eyes. You whimpered when you felt a small sting from the needle as it was being pressed into your skin by Alice; she was stitching your scratches together. “Just breathe, okay?” Josh commanded, trying to keep your eyes on his, and you nodded, breathing in and out deeply as Alice stitched the first scratch together.
You were immensely relieved when Alice had finished stitching the scratches, and you laid your head back down on the pillow Josh had put beneath it whilst your head was up. When Alice left the room, Josh carefully climbed onto the bed beside you, before he wrapped his arms around your neck, knowing it hadn’t been wounded, and therefore wouldn’t hurt you. “I can’t believe I almost lost you,” Josh expressed, his voice trembling. You frowned, before you nuzzled his cheek with your nose, and he grinned, before he chuckled softly as your nose was wet, and it felt funny to him.
~-~
You would be concerned when you heard crying outside of the cabin, and you decided to investigate. ‘Charlie?’ You broke the sudden silence upon seeing your youngest pup curled up outside; he was trying to hide that he was crying. ‘What’s wrong?’ You inquired, sitting beside him as you, yourself, pondered over what might have upset him.
‘I’m sick of being useless,’ Charlie expressed, and you frowned. ‘The others are all in training, but I can’t join them because I’m too-..’ Charlie sighed, wondering why he had to be the one who was different.
You felt bad for Charlie, knowing it was difficult, and frustrating to be different sometimes. ‘Things will change, Charlie,’ you promised, ‘it won’t be like this forever - You don’t have to start training when you’re still quite - small. They’ll let you join when you get a little bigger, I promise.’
Charlie grunted, lowering his head again as he was disappointed. ‘I wish I could hate you,’ Charlie mumbled, and you shook your head, before you lowered it to try and nuzzle him, but he moved away before you could. You sighed heavily, trying to think of something to say that would cheer him up, but nothing came to mind.
~-~
You and Josh were having a big fight about Sam, who had found out about him and the pack, and when you heard that Josh had actually told her about it, you were fuming. “She’s not joining us, and I most certainly won’t let you or anyone else in this pack change her!” You yelled, and Josh scowled at you.
“To think I left everything for this,” Josh uttered, scoffing, “I left it all - For you!”
“I thought you were happy,” you retorted, and Josh looked away from you, disheartening you. “This relationship used to be all about communication,” you reminded him, “what ever happened to that?”
“We still communicate-”
“You could have told me that you weren’t happy, Josh,” you interrupted, “and you could have asked me before you told Sam about us!” Josh groaned, lowering his head slightly. You suddenly felt empty, and didn’t want to fight with him anymore as you stepped closer to him. “L-Let’s stop fighting now, Josh,” you practically pleaded, and Josh nodded, wrapping his arms around your waist. “Tell me a secret,” you requested, and Josh nodded again as you let your head rest on his chest.
“I honestly think I love you more than anything else in the entire universe,” Josh professed, his voice gentle and soothing again.
You couldn’t help, but smile as you glanced up at him, your dark eyes meeting his brilliant green ones. “I can’t think of anything I love more than you, either,” you returned, before you connected your lips to his in a soft, loving kiss.
~-~
You were angry with Tobias because he was threatening to leave after you’d scolded him for fighting with Charlie, his younger brother. “If you walk out that door,” you began dangerously, “you’re no longer one of us. You’ll be one of those Outcasts, and that means I’ll treat you like one of them!”
“Y/n, stop!” Josh demanded when he entered the room; he’d been listening from the room beside the one you and Tobias were in. You grunted, before you stormed out of the room, leaving Josh to deal with the Tobias situation, himself.
Josh guessed that you were still upset after Tobias had stated that he wanted to leave, and he climbed into bed beside you, before he wrapped his arms around your waist. “Is it possible to love too much?” Josh asked, but you wouldn’t respond. Josh frowned, lifting his hand to stroke your hair. “Tobias didn’t mean it, Y/n,” Josh claimed, “he was just upset.”
“Can you kiss me, please?” You requested, and Josh nodded, propping himself up on his elbow, before he leaned forward to press his lips against your’s gently; you’d turned your head to make it easier for him to kiss you.

Josh Washington X Fem!Werewolf Reader Family prompt
This is a different adaptation of this character
‘Hey, Ash!’ One of the ally wolf pack’s pups called, running after Ash, one of you and Josh’s pups.
Ash is the oldest pup, but she isn’t much bigger than her siblings. Ash huffed, annoyed as she begrudgingly turned to face Alaska, the ally wolf pup. ‘Each time you say my name I think ‘oh god not him again’,’ Ash remarked, and Alaska frowned, visibly disappointed.
‘O-Oh,’ he murmured, whining quietly as his ears drooped a little, ‘sorry, I’ll go.’
Alaska then turned, loping back to his parents. Ash tried not to feel bad, turning around. Ash would be startled when she noticed you stood in front of her; you’d walked up to her when you noticed Alaska run away; you’d been listening to them phasing. ‘That wasn’t nice, Ash,’ you stated, ‘I think that pup wanted to be your friend.’
Ash looked anywhere, but you. ‘But he’s just so annoying, and he hasn’t even got any friends-’
‘Then you should be his first friend, then,’ you interrupted, and Ash grunted. ‘Go and talk to him, Ash,’ you demanded, ‘or you will only get one piece of meat for dinner.’
‘Fine,’ she uttered, before she dragged herself toward Alaska and his parents.
You would turn around, wanting to check on Josh and Ash’s brothers, Charlie, Dakota and Tobias. You walked down to the lake, and grinned when you noticed Dakota and Tobias attempting to splash Josh, who was in his human form. “Splash me with water again and I’ll get the water guns!” Josh threatened playfully, and you couldn’t help, but giggle. Josh heard you, smiling softly back at you. You changed back, and he hooked an arm around waist, pulling you closer to his side. You noticed the mischievous glint in his eyes, and you wondered what he was going to say. “Babe, you remind me of candy,” he began, and you narrowed your eyes, confused, “you’re always so sticky.” You smirked, rolling your eyes as you shook your head in response. “Wait!” Josh exclaimed, surprising you. “Stay like that, I’m gonna make you into a meme!” Josh stated, before he took a picture of you on his phone.

Josh was playing with Tobias and Dakota, and they had been giving each other dares to do random stuff. “Do you both think I could do a backflip off of the bed?” Josh asked them, but he didn’t get the chance to as you had entered the room, and he knew you’d scold him if he performed some such a dangerous trick, and he knew that you’d most likely say that he was being a bad influence on the pups.
You looked up at him, suspicious. “What are you doing, Josh?” You questioned, and he winced, innocently sitting down on the bed.
“Nothing,” he answered, and you hesitantly gave in, deciding to believe him.
☾༒☯︎︎
You and Josh were preparing the decorations for your children, who had recently been able to phase into their human forms, all except for Charlie, the youngest. You and Josh would both be surprised when Ash came into the Kitchen during the night, and you attempted to hide the cake that Josh had been decorating. “What are you doing up so late, Ash?” You questioned, and she looked between you both, suspicious.
“I just wanted a glass of water,” she answered, before she lifted a skeptical eyebrow at Josh. “Why are you covered in cake?” Ash asked, and Josh winced.
You elbowed his arm, and he got an idea. “I just got hungry,” he lied, shrugging.
Ash scoffed, before she made to retrieve a glass from the cabinet, but you stopped her. “I’ll bring you a glass of water up, Ash,” you stated, and she reluctantly returned to her and her siblings’ room upstairs.
“That was close,” Josh murmured, and you nodded gravely, preparing a glass of water for Ash.
When the morning came, everything was chaotic - Charlie had gotten too excited, and had started running around, and his brothers were encouraging him. “Charlie, stop!” Josh demanded, trying to grab him, but he was too fast.
Ash decided to try to help out, changing into her wolf form so she could chase after Charlie. Charlie had gotten scared by Ash chasing him, and he whimpered, jumping up onto a chair, and then the table in the living room of Josh’s cabin. “No, hey!” You shouted, trying to grab Charlie, but he managed to avoid you again. “Get off the table!” You demanded, and Charlie reluctantly jumped down, only to be pinned by Ash.
You breathed a sigh of relief, and Josh placed his hand on your shoulder to relax you. “Today’s gonna be great,” he stated, “I promise.” You nodded, smiling back at him faintly.
When things appeared to get even worse, you needed a break, and so Josh took over with the kids, who were going absolutely mental with excitement. “Where’s mom?” Dakota asked, and you winced when you heard his voice approaching.
“You can show it to her later, Dakota, she wants a break,” Josh answered, but Dakota wouldn’t listen, finding you when he turned the corner.
Dakota ran up to you, and you tried to mentally prepare yourself as you turned to face him, forcing a smile. “Do you want to see how many fruit snacks I can get in my mouth, mom?” Dakota inquired, and you hesitated, before you nodded, tilting your head partially. Dakota then began to put the sweets into his mouth, and you tried not to express the worry you held that he would choke, but he seemed fine. “13!” Dakota exclaimed, and you pat him on the head.
“Well done!” You responded, and he beamed victoriously, before he ran off to find his siblings who were playing together with their new toys. Josh smiled apologetically at you, before he rushed after Dakota. You leaned heavily against the wall, focussing on the now peaceful atmosphere that was surrounding you.

Josh Washington X Werewolf!Reader Angsty prompt with brief fluffy moments
!TW: Jealousy, implied swearing (‘cursing’), mention of implied self harm, mention of realistic nightmare (not particularly detailed), blood, mention of hospital, mild violence!
“I’m just going out to see Alice, Josh,” you whined, and he frowned, not letting you go as he wrapped his arms around you. “It’s not like I won’t be coming back,” you uttered, trying to ease him off of you, but he wouldn’t move.
“You’re mine,” he replied, “I don’t share.”
༒☯︎︎༒
“Oh come on,” he whined, frustrated. “It’s fun!” Josh exclaimed, and you would shake your head again, folding your arms with a skeptical, wary look on your face. “All you have to do is jump, the water won’t hurt you unless you let it,” he claimed, gesticulating to the water below. “I’ve done it twice now, and I’m still in one piece,” he reminded you, and you shook your head quickly, stepping back before he could push you.
“I’m not doing that!” You cried, and he stopped, knowing he shouldn’t force you. “I-I’m scared, Josh,” you admitted, “can we please go home, now?”
Josh scoffed, shaking his head. “I think you’re just afraid to be happy,” he muttered, before he took a couple of steps back, and you knew he was going to do it again. You sighed heavily, turning and walking away, hearing him cheering and a distant splash behind you. You sank on a fallen log, listening to Josh and Sam laughing as they walked back up the path; she had been waiting for him to dive again - to say you were jealous of their relationship was an understatement, and you knew it, yourself, but you tried to hide it as much as you could, telling yourself that Josh wouldn’t hurt you, but you doubted it sometimes; especially when you reminded yourself of Sam, and how perfect they seemed to be together. This thought brought uninvited tears to your eyes, and you frowned, bowing your head; sometimes you thought about how much better Josh’s life would be if you’d disappeared and gone back home, if you still had one.
You could hear them talking for a couple of minutes, trying to hear what they were saying, but you just couldn’t focus - the only few words you caught were: ‘see you Monday’; you assumed Sam was going home. “Having fun sitting alone over here?” Josh asked, his voice surprising you as you jolted, looking back at him. “Relax,” he spoke gently, “it’s just me.”
You would calm down, wincing as you knew you should try and work on your composure; you didn’t want to end up hurting somebody accidentally, especially when it was Josh or Alice, but Alice understood more, since she was a werewolf, too. Alice was definitely better at composure than you; she’d trained herself for a long time. “It’s not too bad, here,” you responded quietly, wincing at your own voice as it sounded strained. “W-Was it fun, with Sam?” You asked, trying to act as normal as you possibly could.
Josh hesitantly nodded, sitting beside you, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. “Y-Yeah,” he answered, and you nervously fidgeted with your hands. “Why are you so jealous of Sam?” Josh questioned, and you winced, cursing yourself for not hiding it well enough.
“I’m - I’m not jealous of Sam,” you retorted, defensive.
Josh scoffed, not believing you. “You can’t lie to me,” he replied, “I’ve seen the way you look at her sometimes, like you want to tear her to shreds.”
You frowned, looking away from him. “And you seriously think I would do that?” You questioned, and he nodded. “Fine,” you muttered, standing up. “I - I’m leaving, Josh, and I’m not coming back-”
Josh stood up after you, worried; he didn’t want you to leave, but didn’t want to act weak in front of you, either. “Where do you plan on going, princess?” Josh questioned, and you scowled, feeling yourself heating up as you balled your fists. “Surely you don’t believe you’ll actually be able to survive out there, alone,” he added, smirking at your reaction.
“Despite what you think, I am completely capable of taking care of myself!” You shouted, and turned away from him, running as fast as you could, before leaping and changing into your wolf form mid-air. Josh started feeling guilty, cursing himself for treating you so coldly.
༒☯︎︎༒
Josh tried to find you with Alice, but to no avail, you weren’t in sight. Josh went back to his cabin, dejected as he was scared that he’d lost you forever, but before he could open his door, he heard soft crying. Josh would move around to the back of his cabin, surprised when he found you curled up. “Y/n?” Josh asked, a pained expression on his face. You would turn away from Josh, hiding your face from him. “Talk to me,” he spoke gently, crouching down beside you.
“I - I’m fine,” you replied, and he didn’t believe you.
“Stop pretending you’re okay, ‘cause I know you’re not,” he retorted, and you looked up at him; Josh felt worse when he noticed that your eyes were red - sore from crying. Josh sighed heavily, a hurt look on his face. “I’m so sorry for what I said,” he admitted, “I never meant to hurt you.. I love you, okay? That will never change.”
You tried to believe him, but found it difficult. “You promise?” You whispered, and he nodded. “You - You won’t leave me for Sam?” You asked, and he shook his head.
“I could never leave you for anyone,” he stated, pulling you close to him, before he placed a gentle kiss on your lips. You would feel overwhelmed by your feelings, and once he’d pulled away you wore a dazed expression on your face, your cheeks red like tomatoes. Josh chuckled, amused. “You’re blushing,” he pointed out, and you would look away, embarrassed. “No, don’t, it’s cute,” he whined, gently turning your face back to his. “You’re adorable,” he complimented, placing his hand on your cheek.
༒☯︎︎༒
You would be shocked to find Josh and Sam kissing, and you felt your heart shattering; you started wishing that it was a dream, but it clearly wasn’t as Josh looked at you, a pained expression on his face; he hadn’t realise that you were there. “Y-Y/n?” Josh whispered shakily, and you turned, running out of the room as fast as you could.
“W-Wait,” Sam would be confused, “were you-…”
Josh looked over at Sam apologetically, before he rushed after you. “Y/n, wait!” Josh called, desperate. “P-Please don’t go,” he pleaded, catching your arm and turning you to face him; you would be surprised to see his brilliant green eyes glistening. “I-.. I didn’t do anything,” he reassured, “she kissed me!”
You gently eased Josh away from you, trying to keep yourself calm. “I - I just want to be alone right now, Josh,” you responded, your voice trembling. “We’ll - We’ll talk tomorrow, okay?” Josh shook his head, cursing himself for letting it happen as he watched you walk away.
༒☯︎︎༒
The next day, you were mostly avoiding him, locking yourself in your room and curling up in bed, or sitting in the corner of the room with your knees hugged to your chest. Once he felt able, he knocked on your door, hopeful that you’d let him in, worried that you’d hurt yourself or try something worse. “Y/n?” You heard his voice behind the door, and you reluctantly lifted your head, your face numb with pain. “C-Can-” Josh cleared his throat, nervous; he was afraid he’d break down. “Can we talk?” Josh asked, and you forced yourself to your feet, approaching the door warily.
With great reluctance, you unlocked the door and opened it, revealing his sunken figure. “Hey,” you murmured, and he collected himself, pushing off of the door frame.
“I just wanted to check up on you,” he claimed, and you frowned, bowing your head. “Look, I-.. I’m so sorry, for what happened yesterday,” he stated, “c-can’t we just forget about it, and start again?”
You scoffed, shaking your head. “You can’t keep pretending it didn’t happen, Josh,” you snapped, “‘cause guess what? It did! And I saw it!”
“I’m not - denying, that it happened,” he reassured, wincing; he wished he could deny it. “I just-.. I want to try again, and I promise nothing will ever happen again.” You shook your head, not believing him, briefly remembering the conversation you had with him before. “Sam - Sam knows that we’re together, now, so-.. She won’t be a problem,” he assured, hopeful that you could give him another chance. “I’ll make it up to you, I promise,” he added, desperate as he held your hand. “I love you, n-nothing could ever change that,” he promised, his eyes glinting. “P-Please say something,” he begged, “talk to me.”
“You-.. You really mean it, this time? You won’t let anything happen?” You asked, and he nodded quickly. “O-Okay,” you whispered, “let’s start again..”
༒☯︎︎༒
“The fourth one is a Lupus,” he mused, and you hummed in response, surprised that he had remembered. You looked over at him expectantly, lifting an eyebrow; you were waiting for one more. Josh winced when he realised he’d missed one, and he wasn’t sure what it was. “I missed something, didn’t I?” Josh asked, and you nodded, grinning. “Errr.. The fifth one is-.. Coastal?” Josh guessed, and you nodded, smiling sheepishly as you were proud of him for remembering.
༒☯︎︎༒
You had woken up during the night due to a realistic nightmare, and you were scared as you ran out of your room, rushing to Josh’s as you didn’t want to be alone. You knocked on the door, hugging yourself for a moment, before letting yourself in. Josh would be surprised, sitting up. “What’s up?” Josh asked, concerned as he shuffled closer to the end of the bed. You wouldn’t answer, your voice was stuck in your throat. “C’mere,” he spoke gently, smirking as a mischievous glint formed in his brilliant green eyes.
“I-.. I was scared,” you whispered, before rushing over to him as you were startled by the thunder which suddenly roared.
You clung to Josh, burying your face against his shoulder. Josh groaned, disappointed as he wrapped his arms around you. “You come to my room and wake me up at 4am, to cuddle?” Josh asked just to clarify, pouting.
“Y-Yeah,” you responded shakily, “I’m sorry..”
Josh sighed heavily, playing with your hair with his free hand. “I hate how much I love you,” he remarked, and you whined. “Well this is awkward,” he whispered, “I was hoping you were here for - something more.” You winced, shaking your head. Josh tried to think of something, desperate for a distraction. “Are you wearing my plaid shirt?” Josh asked, and you nodded, embarrassed.
“It’s warm,” you responded, “and it’s cold in my room.”
Josh then moved away to give you space, lifting the duvet for you. “Come on in,” he stated, “it’s warmer here.”Reluctantly, you slipped into the bed beside him, snuggling close to him. “You’re so beautiful, y’know that, right?” Josh whispered, and you would nervously hide your face as your cheeks started heating up.
“I can’t breathe,” you responded, flustered, your voice barely audible. Josh chuckled, relocating a piece of your hair behind your ear so he could see your eyes more.
It seemed to get colder in Josh’s room as the rain picked up, rattling the windows. You would start shivering, thinking about trying to shuffle closer to Josh, but you didn’t want to disturb him. Josh heard you whimper quietly beside him, and he turned around to face you. “You look like you need a hug,” he commented, and you nodded. Josh pulled you closer to him, trying to warm you up as he felt that you were shaking from the cold.
༒☯︎︎༒
It had been a couple of hours since Josh had found you next to Sam in the forest, and she appeared to be unconscious. Josh knew you’d done it as you had blood on your hands and face. As soon as he came back from the hospital, he kept his distance from you, not knowing what to think or even say to you. Once he’d left his bedroom, you tried to talk to him, the silence was physically and mentally hurting you. “Can we talk about this, please?” You pleaded with him, and he pushed you out of the way - to see the fear and hatred he held for you on his face broke you.
“I don’t know what you want me to say,” he muttered, avoiding your searching gaze.
“Well yell, scream, say something, anything,” you begged, your voice faltering as you began to cry; you hated yourself for what you did, too. “I-.. I’m so sorry,” you whispered, and he frowned, bowing his head slightly. “I don’t want to be a burden on you anymore,” you mused, feeling your heart cracking in so many places and writhing in pain.
Josh snapped, knowing he couldn’t let you go. “Walk out that door and we’re through-!” Josh threatened, and you hesitated, but knew it would be better for him if you just left.
“I’ll never bother you again,” you promised as you ran out of the cabin, surprising Josh as he ran after you; he didn’t want to lose you, though he was upset by what you did. Josh grew tired, eventually, and he had to stop, feeling his lungs begin to collapse. Josh watched after you, a hurt look on his face.
Josh had started getting scared after a few days; he thought you’d return by now, but there was no sign of you. Josh had left several messages on your phone, until he realised you’d left it at the cabin when he found it underneath your pillow. Josh started losing hope as he laid down on his bed, his eyes sore as he had been crying in secret; he was trying to act normal in front of his friends at high school, but he felt as if he couldn’t do it anymore, so he hid from them. He started missing some days, which turned into a week, and then two. Josh would reach over to his cabinet, grabbing your hoodie and holding it close to him. Josh lifted it to his face, finding that it still smelt of you, which brought him some comfort, until it was washed over with pain, as usual. “Please come home,” he whispered shakily, “I miss you so much.”
/\
You stood on the peak of the mountain, trying to feel happy, but you found that happiness still eludes you. You bowed your head, a stray tear escaping your eye. You wondered if Josh had forgotten about you, and you hoped that he had, and he’d moved on, but at the same time it broke your heart as you wished that you and Josh could just be happy together. To try and relieve your emotion, you lifted your head, howling, but nothing was helping; the only person who could fill the hole in your heart was Josh.
/\
Josh thought he could hear a distant, rather solemn howl, and he sat up, wondering if it was you, or someone else. Josh stood up, moving over to the window quickly and looking out, hopeful to see you loping towards the cabin excitedly, smiling, but he knew you wouldn’t be.
/\
As soon as Alice heard your crestfallen howl, she ran out of your’s and her cabin, changing mid-run. Alice responded to your howl, before she took off towards the mountain.
/\
Once he’d heard another howl, he decided to run down the stairs, knowing there was a chance that he would be able to find you. Josh ran towards the second howl, stopping when he saw Alice through the trees, seeming lost for a moment, until another howl sounded out - the same sad, longing howl. “Alice!” Josh called, and she turned, shocked. Alice shook her head, before she leaped over the bushes, disappearing. Josh stood there, tears filling his already sore eyes once more; he assumed Alice was telling him that he should stay; that you might not want to see him, or see the state you were in.
༒☯︎༒
Alice had, after seeing how distraught Josh was, convinced you to meet him in the clearing near the waterfall. Alice had given him the same message via a note on the inside of his locker, and as soon as he saw it, he felt immense relief as he was excited to see you again. As soon as the time came for the end of the high school day, he took off running toward the clearing, stopping as soon as he got there, hopeful as he looked around. Josh then saw you as you appeared from behind a tree, and warily approached him. “Y/n,” he whispered, wondering if he was just imagining you for a moment, but as soon as he’d gotten over his shock, he ran over to you, crouching down in front of you and wrapping his arms around your neck. “I’ve missed you so much,” he admitted, beginning to cry against your fur. “Please stay with me,” he begged, “d-don’t leave me again, I can’t live without you.” You broke down with him, burying your face against his shoulder and whining quietly. “Please don’t cry,” he whispered shakily, “I can’t stand to see you cry..” Josh placed his hand on your white cheek, brushing away a tear with his thumb. “I love you,” he stated, and you managed a weak smile. “I don’t think any less of you for what happened, though it was wrong,” he assured, and you would be relieved, but you still felt guilty for what you did to Sam.

Josh Washington X Werewolf!Reader Angsty prompt with cute and fluffy moments
!TW: Mention of attempted suicide, swearing, implied swearing (‘cursed’), mild violence, mention of horror film, mention of word ‘monster’, self put down!
“Please, talk to me,” Josh begged, his voice trembling briefly; he’d found you trying to kill yourself, this had really shocked him to his core; he never expected it from you. “We’re best friends-”
“We’re not just friends and you fucking know it!” You cried, and Josh wouldn’t know what to say, his brilliant green eyes clouding with hurt. “P-Please just get out of my room,” you uttered, and he shook his head, not wanting to leave you alone as he was afraid you’d try again.
“Make me,” he retorted, leaning against the wall to show that he was intent on staying in your room with you.
You scoffed, surprised that he was challenging you when he knew what you were. “Seriously? Are you kidding me? I could throw you out right now,” you claimed, and he smirked, lifting an eyebrow at you.
“I’d like to see you try,” he replied, and you scowled, trying to control yourself when you felt yourself heating up a little. “Come on,” he encouraged, approaching you slowly. “Force me out,” he commanded, stopping until he was stood in front of you. You winced, feeling uncomfortable as you looked away from him, biting down on your lip. “Stop biting that fucking lip!” Josh exclaimed, surprising you as you looked up at him. “L-Look,” he murmured, his voice gentler now as he held you at arm’s length. “We’re going to get through this together, I promise,” he reassured, “I won’t stop until I know you’re happy.” You frowned, bowing your head slightly; he was still trying to avoid his feelings. “I - I need to find Sam, but I’ll be back, okay?”
Before he could leave, you caught his arm, a hurt look on your face. “N-No,” you whined, “choose me.”
Josh frowned, looking back at you. “Y/n-.. I don’t want to hurt you, but I don’t want to hurt Sam, either,” he responded, and you reluctantly let go of his arm.
“F-Fine,” you uttered, turning away from him to hide the tears which invaded your eyes. Josh felt guilty, but knew there wasn’t much he could do as he turned around to leave. You only looked over your shoulder when you heard the door close, and you felt your heart sink with it.
༒☯︎︎༒
Josh had met you outside of class; he’d found a cool spot outside where there was, near the mountain, an old mine. “Why did you call me out here?” You questioned, and Josh wouldn’t answer, he just took your hand, pulling you towards the exit. “I swear if we get caught I’m blaming you-!” You whisper-shouted, warily looking around, before letting him pull you outside.
As you both came to a stop at quite a big hole in the ground, you felt strange, like something was wrong with this place. “What - is this?” You asked, your voice catching in your throat as you winced, staring down at the hole.
“It’s an old coal mine,” Josh answered, beaming. “My dad told me that it’s been there since I was born, but it used to be up and running a few years ago, before they shut it down after a few - accidents,” he informed, and you looked over at him, smiling weakly.
“You’re such a dork,” you commented, and he grinned at you. “I hate how much I love you,” you admitted, and his smile faded as he lowered his head slightly.
You cursed yourself for what you said, fidgeting with your hands and returning your attention to the old mine. “Do you want to kiss as much as I do, right now?” Josh asked, surprising you when he turned you around to face him, his face inches from your’s. You felt quite flustered, unable to speak; your lips were moving, but no sound came out. “I know I didn’t say anything before, but,” he murmured, a pained expression on his face. “I think I’m in love with you, and that scares the crap out of me,” he confessed, and you felt your heart skip a beat; you knew that your cheeks must be redder than a tomato, somehow. “I also didn’t tell you yesterday - you’re so fucking hot when you’re mad,” he remarked, smirking.
Josh then pressed his lips against your’s, shocking you as you tensed up. You started panicking when he tried to deepen the kiss, and you pushed him off of you, which surprised him; he thought you’d wanted this. “I - I’m sorry, Josh, but-.. I think I need some time-”
“W-What?” Josh interrupted quietly, his voice barely audible. “Y/n, you-.. you kept telling me that this is what you wanted; you kept trying to tell me that you love me-”
“I know,” you muttered, cursing yourself. “I guess I’m just - scared,” you admitted, and he realised, frowning.
Josh would place his hand on your cheek, surprising you, but you managed to stay put. “Don’t be scared, Y/n,” he responded gently, “we belong together; things are going to work out, I promise.”
“W-What about Sam?” You asked, and he winced, thinking for a moment.
You felt worse when you noticed his reaction, and you looked away. “I’ll tell her, about us,” he answered, and you would be relieved, managing a weak smile. Josh then leaned forward, placing another kiss on your lips, holding you close to him; you tried to relax, but your heart was racing at at least 200mph. Josh pulled away, a concerned look on his face. “Are you okay?” Josh asked, relocating his hand to your shoulder.
“I think I forgot how to breathe,” you whispered, and he smiled sheepishly. You then managed to regain composure, breathing normally again.
༒☯︎︎༒
Josh had been teasing you in front of his friends and Alice, and you were sulking; you found it humiliating. “Are you still mad at me?” Josh asked, pouting.
“Bite me!” You retorted, and he chuckled, lifting an eyebrow, a mischievous twinkle in his brilliant green eyes.
“If you insist,” he replied seductively, smirking at your flustered reaction.
“S-Shut up!” You stuttered, and he stepped closer to you, relocating a piece of your hair behind your ear. “S-Stop,” you whispered, “we’re fighting-”
“Fighting?” Josh interrupted, surprised as he shook his head. “Y/n, we aren’t fighting,” he stated, before placing a kiss on your cheek, making you blush again, but you tried to hide it.
“Just shut up and kiss me,” you whispered, and he smirked, doing as you said as he pressed his lips against your’s. Once he’d pulled away, you wrapped your arms around his neck carefully, whilst he wrapped his arms around your waist, smiling warmly. “Wanna go back home and watch a Disney film?” You asked, and Josh scoffed, shaking his head. “What? You don’t like them?” Josh shook his head, and you frowned.
“They’re boring,” he claimed, and you whined, disappointed.
“I can’t believe you don’t like Disney movies,” you murmured, and he laughed quietly in response. “Please don’t make me watch another horror film,” you pleaded with him, and he would think for a moment, tilting his head partially.
Josh groaned, giving in when he noticed the puppy eyes you were giving him. “Fine,” he mumbled, “we can watch a Disney film.” You cheered, excited as you hugged him tightly. Josh returned the hug, glad he’d made you happy, at least.
༒☯︎︎༒
You’d come back from high school one day, and Josh would be surprised as you were early; he’d not gone in because he’d been out with his friends for most of the day. “Y/n?” Josh asked, his voice quiet. “You’re early,” he stated, “what happened?” You ignored him, meandering around him and sinking on the sofa. Josh noticed that you seemed upset, and you had tear stains on your cheeks. “H-Hey,” he spoke gently, “what’s wrong? Did - Did someone say something to you?” Josh questioned, and you wouldn’t respond. “Was it Sam?” Josh pried, worried. “Mike?” Josh continued, hopeful he’d get a response from you so he could sort out the problem.
“W-Why are you so nice to me?” You asked, your voice barely audible. Josh fell quiet, a pained expression on his face. “You know what I am, Josh; I-I’m a monster,” you whispered, and he shook his head quickly, holding your hands in his.
“You aren’t a monster, Y/n,” he reassured, wishing you could see yourself as he saw you. “You’re the complete opposite of a monster,” he added, before sitting next to you, holding you close to him. “You aren’t like the Outcasts,” he stated, and you hesitantly looked up at him. “You’re one of the good ones,” he claimed, and you forced a smile, though you didn’t feel any better; you just wanted to reassure him. Josh placed a loving kiss on your lips, and you buried your face against his neck; you liked to be near him. You started thinking about the time you and Josh had secretly been meeting up; you’d become friends and wanted to hide it as you knew that the others wouldn’t approve.

Werewolf Josh Washington X FemWerewolf!Reader Angsty Prompt with brief fluffy and cute moments
!TW: Mention of nightmare, presence of children, jealousy!
Different adaptation of this character
Josh expressed concern for you when he woke up to you crying beside him; you’d had a nightmare about witnessing the fight between your parents and the Outcast pack, and Josh could see it due to him being a werewolf, too, and werewolves were also sometimes known to be able to read each other’s minds. “Hey,” Josh spoke gently, wrapping his arms around your waist, “are you okay-?”
“I - I’m fine,” you answered, lying, but he already knew that you were.
Josh shook his head, lifting his right hand to play with your hair; he knew it helped to comfort you as it had done often before. “I know you’re not fine, Y/n, I can hear you crying,” Josh contradicted, and you fell quiet, trying to hide your face from him when you heard him prop himself up onto his left elbow. “Y’know,” he began again in a soothing voice, “it’s okay to cry. Everyone cries, or has cried at some, or most points of their life.” You nodded gravely, feeling a little better and more comfortable. “Hey, look at me,” Josh commanded softly, and you reluctantly turned to face him, smiling weakly when he brushed away a couple stray tears on your cheeks. “You have the most amazing eyes,” Josh complimented, and your smile grew; he always knew how to cheer you up, and make you feel special.
☾༒☯︎︎
“That isn’t appropriate, Josh,” you uttered after Josh had sprung a dirty joke in the middle of dinner, and in front of the kids, “I’ve told you so many times to not make those jokes in front of our children.” You winced when you heard them beginning to snigger, amused by your half bickering with Josh.
Whilst Josh was out hunting, he was being followed by a familiar golden brown wolf - Sam. ‘Hey,’ she spoke up, and Josh faltered, gradually halting in place, before he began to look around, wondering if he’d just imagined hearing her voice. ‘Hey!’ Sam repeated louder, and Josh growled quietly, turning around when he could hear that her voice was coming from behind him.
Josh slowly lowered himself into a defensive stance; he no longer trusted Sam after she’d decided to join the Outcast pack. Josh snarled aloud when Sam came into view, and she appeared disappointed by his reaction to her appearance. ‘What are you doing here?’ Josh questioned, baring his teeth at her.
‘I just wanted to see you,’ Sam answered, advancing closer to him slowly and warily. ‘You deserve so much better than her,’ Sam stated, and Josh scowled, shaking his head. ‘Why are you even still with her?’ Sam questioned, and Josh moved away before she could nuzzle him.
‘I’m with her because I love her, Sam,’ Josh spat, and Sam grimaced, shaking her head. ‘Now go back to where you’re supposed to be, before I rip you to shreds,’ Josh threatened, before he began to trot away from her.

Werewolf Josh Washington X Werewolf!Reader Cute Prompt with light, brief angst [Shorter Prompt]
!TW: Jealousy!
‘Embry’s hilarious,’ Josh mused as he trotted beside you; he’d been hanging out with Embry a lot lately; Embry is one of your new pack members. ‘I’m so glad he decided to join us,’ he continued, and you nodded, before you decided to try and initiate play with him by jumping in front of him, and bowing down playfully. Josh would be confused by your action, tilting his head partially. ‘What are you doing?’ Josh questioned, and you whimpered as you stood up straight again.
‘Josh,’ you began, your voice quiet, ‘do you find me - boring?’
Josh frowned, shaking his head quickly; he couldn’t believe you’d think that he did. ‘Of course not,’ Josh answered, nuzzling your cheek and neck as he did.
‘It’s just,’ you whined, ‘you’re always with Embry, and we don’t spend much time alone together anymore.’
Josh felt bad, and vowed that he would spend more time with you. ‘I’m sorry, Y/n,’ Josh responded gently, ‘I promise I’ll spend more time with you, okay? You’re my best friend, and always will be.’
You couldn’t help, but smile, before you inched closer to affectionately nuzzle and lick his cheek. ‘You’ll always be my best friend, too,’ you returned, and Josh managed to jump up to hook his paws around your neck in a makeshift hug. You leant into his embrace, wishing you could live in this moment forever.

Werewolf Josh Washington X FemWerewolf!Reader Cute Prompt with light angst
!TW: Mention of captivity (being chained to the fence), some form of strangulation, brief/mild(?) violence, jealousy, threat, mention of hunting (not particularly detailed), mention of illness, mention of feeling faint, mention of feeling disorientated, mention of having a nightmare/nightmare (not detailed)!
‘Y/n,’ Josh broke the silence when he found you chained to a fence, and you lifted your head, surprised; you didn’t think that he’d come back for you after you’d been caught by the hunter.
‘Josh?’ You whispered, before you eased yourself into an upright sitting position. ‘You - You came back - for me?’ You inquired, and Josh nodded, smiling, before he leaped over the wooden fence to get to you. Josh loped toward you, before he examined the chain, grimacing. ‘Why?’ You pried, a pained expression on your face; you’d thought that maybe he’d forget about you and decide to move on from you.
Josh would be surprised that you were asking him why he would come back for you; he couldn’t live without you, and felt as if he had to save you and bring you back home with him. ‘We’re friends, right?’ Josh reminded you, before he nuzzled your neck with his nose. ‘Friends stick together,’ he stated, ‘do you really think that I would leave my best friend and mate to be imprisoned by a hunter?’
You smiled softly up at him, before you nuzzled him back. ‘Thank you, Josh,’ you expressed, and watched as he unhooked the chain so you could both run away from the hunter’s cabin.

You would be shocked when you were suddenly knocked to the ground, and pinned by a golden brown wolf - Sam. ‘What the - Sam?’ You muttered, and she growled, before she applied pressure to your neck by relocating her left paw onto it.
You gasped, beginning to panic as you struggled to breathe, more and more with every passing minute her paw was on your neck. ‘I’ll be watching over you and Josh, and when me and my pack are ready, we’ll fight your’s and I’ll take him back from you,’ Sam revealed, before she removed her paw from your neck. ‘And if you even dare tell him about my being here, or about what I said to you, one of my friends may just come along and check up on your pups for you whilst you’re sleeping,’ she threatened, and you faltered; you guessed that she meant that her friend would steal you and Josh’s pups. ‘You understand?’ Sam questioned, and you nodded quickly, expressing relief when she let you go. ‘Good,’ Sam concluded, before she began to run back toward the outcast pack’s hideaway.
“Have I ever told you how cute you are?” Josh inquired as he tucked the stem of a flower behind your ear; he’d picked it because the colour reminded him of you.
You grinned, amused as you nodded. “Yes, you have,” you answered, “maybe around - more than a hundred times now.”
Josh began to chuckle, before he pulled you closer to him to connect his lips to your’s. “Well,” he began again, before he placed his hand on your cheek, “this is me telling you again - that you are immensely cute.”
You giggled, before you wrapped your arms around him. “Shut up, Washington,” you replied jokingly, before you pressed your lips against his to kiss him again.
☾༒☯︎︎
Josh was preparing to leave to go out hunting for you and the pups, but you stopped him before he could leave by wrapping your arms around him from behind. “I won’t let you leave without a hug,” you stated, and Josh chuckled, before he turned around to pull you into a hug. You smiled lovingly up at him, before you returned the hug, not wanting to let go as you tried to prolong it. “You smell nice,” you complimented, and Josh couldn’t help, but chuckle again, lifting his hand to stroke your hair as he knew you liked it when he did.
Josh took a moment to drag the prize of his hunt into his and your cabin, and he released it in the corner, before he looked back at you, smiling warmly. ‘I’ll be right back, babe,’ Josh assured, before he loped out of the cabin, returning in his human, natural form with a plastic bag in his right hand. “I bought you chocolate,” Josh stated, “I still feel like I haven’t thanked you enough for making me happier than I used to be, so - here.”
You reluctantly accepted the bag from him, before you intertwined your fingers with his. “You didn’t have to get me anything, Josh,” you responded, “you’ve done enough to thank me, I assure you.” Josh hesitantly gave in, before he wrapped his arms around you, prompting you to smile, before you returned the hug, unknowingly comforting him.
☾༒☯︎︎
Josh would be worried about you when he noticed that you were acting strangely, as if you were ill whilst you both were out at the clearing with the waterfall; your favourite. “Do you want to go home?” Josh inquired, stabilising you when he thought that you were going to faint; you seemed disorientated for a moment.
“N-No,” you whined; you didn’t want to ruin the nice day out for him, “why should I, when I’m already home?” Josh appeared confused, and you giggled, amused by the puzzled expression on his face. “When I’m with you, I’m home, Josh,” you expressed, before you leaned heavily against him, wrapping your arms around him.
Josh had decided to carry you back home regardless of you not wanting to go back; he wanted to treat you, and let you get some rest as he knew that you wouldn’t get better if you weren’t well-rested, or treated.
During the night, you woke up to Josh shaking you; you’d been having a nightmare. “Are you okay?” Josh inquired, his eyes full of worry. “Do you need me to get you anything?” Josh pried, wanting to do everything he could to help you. You shook your head, forcing a smile up at him. Josh reluctantly decided to believe you, before he wrapped his arms around your waist like he had done before. “Okay, well,” Josh continued gently, “I’ll always be here, whenever you need me, okay?”
You nodded, managing a weak smile as you did. “Thank you, Josh,” you replied, and Josh returned the two words ‘you’re welcome’ in a warm and gentle voice.

“Your smile is so beautiful,” Josh complimented as he wrapped his arms around your waist; you were looking at the outfit you’d put together in the mirror; you’d promised Josh, whilst you were sick, that you would go out to the same clearing again with him when you felt better, and this was what you were preparing for.
You turned to face him, his arms still around you. “I could say the same thing about your’s,” you returned, before you briefly connected your lips to his. “Let’s go, before Alice changes her mind about babysitting the pups,” you remarked, and Josh nodded, rushing out of the cabin with you whilst laughing almost hysterically.
“Y’know,” Josh began slowly as he looked over the glittering lake, “when we both were still in high school starting out, I would have never believed that one day we’d be so close if a time traveler told me that we would be.”
You nodded gravely, remembering how you both used to think of yourselves as enemies to the other person. “I probably wouldn’t have believed that, either,” you mused, lying; you would have been holding onto some hope that it would happen that you both would become friends, and then mates if you were told that you’d both be close in the future.
