Jorge Negrete Captain II of the Mexican Army Jorge Alberto Negrete Moreno was born on November 30, 1911 in #Guanajuato, Gto. where he lived until 1921, changing residence to Mexico City when his father retired from military life, he worked as a teacher in official schools and at the Alexander Von Humboldt German School, thanks to which his children received scholarships in said school. institution. There Jorge Alberto finished high school and learned Swedish, Italian, English, French, and German; He self-taught the fundamentals of Nahuatl. Later he entered the Heroic Military College, at the age of 14, graduating as a lieutenant of Cavalry and Administration of the Mexican Army with high qualifications at the age of 18 (1929). There he learned to ride a horse, a skill he would display playing the Mexican charro in the movies.

He was assigned to the Citadel Weapons Factory. Following the rebellion of General José Gonzalo Escobar he was reassigned to the State of Chihuahua, where he participated in the last battle of the Mexican Revolution (La Renovadora) in Cd. Jiménez, Chih. From March 31 to April 2, 1929, thanks to his courage and bravery in combat, he was promoted to the rank of Second Captain.
