Nefarious will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on August 15 via Mill Creek Entertainment. The 2023 horror-thriller is currently available on VOD.

Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon write and direct, based on Steve Deace's 2016 novel A Nefarious Plot. Sean Patrick Flanery, Jordan Belfi, and Tom Ohmer star.

Nefarious (2023)

On the day of his scheduled electrocution, a convicted serial killer gets a last-minute court-ordered psychiatric evaluation. The killer surprises the psychiatrist with his claim that instead of trying to avoid his fate, he is in fact a demon who wants the punishment to go forward… and further claims that before their brief time together is over, the doctor will have committed three murders of his own.

This movie is a bit of a sleeper. It's creepy as fuck, and as it progresses it will start making you question a lot of beliefs you might hold....I wouldn't recommend it if you're highly impressionable, because you might not sleep well. Flanery does a stellar job in his turn as the demon Nefarious and as he switches back and forth between him and the alleged serial killer he possesses...I say 'alleged' because...well...you'll understand better as you watch it. Belfi also does an excellent job as the psychiatrist who really really really wishes he'd stayed in bed and not begged the lightning to strike!

Not for the timid...Enjoy!
