maybe impulse adopting a cat while sad out of his mind isn't the best idea, but joomi doubts he'll ever regret it.

he had a miserable night with jinyoung in lime's dorms and not with him, as expected, and a miserable morning waking up alone today. sua, to her credit, has been the best roommate and friend he could possibly ask for at this time. neither of them had anything to do today, for better or worse, so joomi requested sua play mario party with him while he wrapped himself in a blanket burrito on the couch and sniffled pathetically off and on. they didn't talk about anything - didn't talk much at all, really, but it was nice to not be alone, and to do something that could be fun under the right circumstances.

he couldn't help but think about her, though: biscuit, the majestic, grumpy old lady of a cat at the cat cafe he and jinyoung first met at. they fought back then - enough for jinyoung to hate him for months after that - due in part to joomi trying to gain biscuit's trust for weeks, only for her to like jinyoung instantly. they went and visited her again last sunday, on jinyoung's last free sunday before moving into the lime dorms.

ever since then, the thought of adopting her has been in the back of his mind, but over the course of the morning, a fleeting desire turns into a practical need to bring biscuit into his life for good. he randomly asks sua if they can get a cat. she agrees, and next thing they know they're getting a bunch of cat supplies, and joomi is filling out biscuit's adoption papers at the cat cafe, and biscuit is in her little cat carrier on her way home with them.

it eventually leads them to now: all of the biscuit essentials™ set up in joomi's bedroom, biscuit herself included. ideally, the litter box would not be in his room, but he read that it's best to get cats adjusted to a new home one room at a time. the other option was the bathroom, but joomi didn't want to leave her alone for too long and if she didn't want to leave the bathroom for the first few days that would've been pretty inconvenient.

biscuit is, understandably, very cautious when she's first unleashed upon their apartment. it's an entirely new environment. she was at the cat cafe for at least three years, if not longer.

"i think you'll like it better here, biscuit," joomi assures her as she carefully explores his room, paying little mind to him and sua. that doesn't come as much of a surprise to joomi, honestly. "it'll be a lot quieter. you can sleep in a comfy bed all day...no kids trying to pull your tail anymore...it'll be great, i promise."

he dumps a few of her favorite treats out of the bag they bought today into a tiny pile beside him, then tosses the bag to sua so she can do the same, and try to beg biscuit for attention like joomi did for so long. "these are the treats jinyoung brainwashed her to like him before me with," he jokingly informs her. "but once i bought my own and started using them, she liked me too, so i guess he was on to something."

"how many signatures do you have so far?" she asks joomi, leaning over the table. there's a fire in her eyes and jiayi is hungry to win the unofficial competition. she wants to get the most signatures, is desperate for it.

she pops a pumpkin-shaped pretzel in her mouth, chewing thoughtfully while looking out at all the other trainees mingling. it hasn't been long since the conclusion of next gen and when she got signed but jiayi feels like it was a life time ago, one of her first encounters being with joomi in the cafeteria where he introduced himself.

if he didn't want her to stick around, well, he should have said something by now. jiayi is sure she can be annoying at times with all the questions she asks, but she persists regardless.

"i have four, i think," she mumbles, flipping through the small notebook she brought along with her to count. "wait," jiayi's brows furrows. "maybe three? this looks like just a scribble," she says, trying to hand over her book to joomi so he can take a look.

while studio delta generally has a schedule for them to practice their instruments, this workshop that's being held feels like the perfect opportuniy to actually lock in and properly polish something that he's meaning to actually get better at. this time, it's the bass guitar. he's rather familiar with acoustic guitar and electric guitar, but when it comes to bass—well, he needed more experience.

the workshops came at the right moment. although he knows being an active participant in this workshop and committing to it means he'll need to sacrifice his time doing other things ( namely his dance lessons, as he's spending more time sitting down and working through an instrument ), he believes he can make up for it later down the road.

"dad, are you trying your hand at bass too?" he asks @bejoomi, tilting his head to the sides as the guitar sits on the base of his lap, held to his chest. "i heard that the mentor for this workshop is actually kind of strict and grouchy," he whispers, partaking in a little bit of gossip. "but usually, those types of people are really good at what they do, aren't they? you know, like our very own lovely ceo."

jay laughs, knowing that it'd be bad if he had spoken in a louder volume. "anyway! this is what i joined delta for, after all. focusing on what really matters to me—the music!"

honestly, this moment is making kian feel kind of emotional. while he realizes it's silly for his eyes to feel misty right now, there's something about being reacquainted with the shop after being away from it for so long, and what's more is that he's sitting amongst the instruments with his old pal, joomi, who he hasn't seen in awhile due to their very demanding schedules. all of this feels so normal, so ordinary. it feels like childhood, like the simpler times of spending his afternoons doing inventory or assisting the shop's devoted clientele with their needs. he won't lie, he misses it, but at the same time, he's excited to be working toward accomplishing his lifelong goal.

not wanting to startle his comrade, he does his best to swallow the lump in his throat and keep it together. though, he has an inkling that joomi wouldn't be at all surprised if he started crying right now. it'd be very much in his character to do so.

"i miss you," he speaks simply, leaning his head against a large shelf loaded with collectible vinyls. while there are chairs that they could be sitting on, kian felt like it'd be nostalgic for them to occupy the floor instead. hopefully joomi doesn't mind. it's actually pretty comfy, believe it or not. "i remember when we'd stay up really late and you'd play me songs, and i'd try to sing along to them right away even if i didn't know the melody, much less the words, and even though i was probably annoying, i don't remember you ever getting mad at me…"

his brows furrow in thought as he scans his brain for the memories, and though he doesn't come up with a specific date and time, he remains stuck dwelling on it for awhile before continuing. "you're kind of the coolest for that. you could've easily, like, smacked me on the back of the head and told me to shut up, but you never did." though he's managed to keep his tears at bay, his sentimentality is still sky high. it's impossible for him to conceal that. his heart can never be removed from his sleeve.

scooting closer to him, kian leans his head on joomi's shoulder and snakes an arm around his back. smiling, he loves that he still fits in this particular spot pretty perfectly, even after growing a little taller over the years. "what have you been up to? like, besides training, i guess. i know we don't get a lot of time outside of it, but i don't know. i really just wanna know about what's going on in your life; what's happening in your head and all that."

january is a notoriously slow month for the restaurant, and it has jindallae feeling both stressed, and relaxed. it's an odd combination, that's for sure. for one thing, he worries about the slow traffic and how that effects the amount of money he brings in, but for another thing, he now has much more time on his hands, and that allows him to actually have a social life for once.

it's been fun to reconnect with people, he just wishes that, whenever he meets up with someone, he didn't have an annoying fear in the back of his head that the lounge is about to crash and burn; that his six-week absence from the kitchen tarnished their reputation at its highest, and now, it'll be difficult to convince people that the food's still delicious. maybe it's just him and his high standards, but he wasn't pleased with the meals his crew was churning out while he was away, and he's been a bit hard on them since his return—much to their dismay.

he can't help but be a perfectionist, though. he built the restaurant into what it is today. if the quality of his menu starts to lack, he's the one who is held responsible, and he can't have that. rather, he won't have that. point-blank-period. the others have to get on his level or they'll have hell to pay. that's another day's problem. for right now, he's preparing for company.

during his downtime, he's been trying out new recipes, hoping that maybe offering a special or freshening up the menu will garner more excitement from their followers, and tonight, he's trying one out on his guest. he's serving a delectable spread of fresh banchan that he prepared himself, deliciously fragrant steamed rice, and the main protein is an immaculate galbi-jjim. it's taken him several hours to get everything just right, but it's finally about time to eat, and by the smell of it, he knows it's going to please joomi. he's confident in that.

honestly, and he won't admit this aloud, but he's had the dopiest smile on his face the entire time he's been cooking. maybe it's lame of him, but he's been attempting to be close to joomi for quite sometime now, and having him sat at his dining room table, about to dig into something he made with his own hands, makes him happy; warm, even. so, as he places the entree in the center of the table, he presents it to him—admiring how attractive the spread looks.

"it was your birthday a week or so ago, and i missed it, so i thought that, when you came over to jam, i could make you somethin' special," jindallae muses, then shrugs. "i hope you like it, and please, have as much as you want. you can even take the leftovers with you." he continues, taking his seat parallel to his junior. "ah—are you the type that needs gloves or chopsticks to eat your ribs? i've got you covered, if so. i'm not exactly afraid of getting my hands dirty, but if you are, just let me know."

hiiii everyone, after just changing nayoung's theme i have some Renewed Inspiration for her, but the problem is she only has four threads right now 😭 this is largely my fault because joomi has SIXTEEN and i keep having ideas and more threads for him and while he is easier to plot with because nayoung is mean and more antisocial i still need to do better!! so i wanted to put a plotting post up for ms nayoung in particular so i could better focus on her. please like this post if you would like to plot with her 💓 and i'll come message you soon!

seojun absolutely loves halloween. it was always his favorite thing to get to dress up even if he wasn’t doing anything that day or just hand out candy to children who came by his place. he couldn’t say the actual horror part of the holiday was his favorite though. something about that aspect always left him on edge and gave him vivid nightmares he didn’t wanna remember at all.

right now he’s adjusting his costume as he looks around the room, trying to figure out what they can do to figure out the escape room. he can hear some of the trainees getting scared by the staff to amp up the thrill. something about it causes him to start shaking and he wants nothing more then to curl in on himself to hide away. it’s silly and he shouldn’t be as on edge in his own mind but he can’t help himself. now he really wanted to escape and be away from all of this. he hoped he didn’t distract anyone though especially joomi who he had decided to tag along with to help figure out everything. he felt useless now though, feeling tears threatening to pool in his eyes. he didn’t wanna cry here but he felt he would. a could t hold back a pitiful sob that slipped out of him which made him wanna leave more. “i-i’m sorry…” he felt himself apologizing as if he caused joomi a wrong for letting his emotions and fears get the better of him.

belated event + general plot call!

hi everyone! now that i'm officially off hiatus it's time to make my Official Plot Call and get back into the swing of things. i'll need threads of all kinds, both regular and event threads for all three of my muses. i'll do what i usually do and write a bit about their current states, as well as what they'll be doing and how they're feeling regarding the halloween event under the cut! and also an event tracker. but please like this post to plot and i will message you soon 💗

GENERAL UPDATE

with dohyun leaving delta, his songwriting trio (dorenmi) with ren and dohyun is broken. he is very sad about it because they had dreams of being The songwriting trio of delta's next bg and potentially the next generation of bgs in general. he is still movin forward though and doing his best to not be Crushed by it. he is feeling a bit aimless though, and he got so used to writing with ren and dohyun that his creative process is all out of whack now, which is p much just as frustrating for him as dohyun leaving. i think he's been trying to do more things on his own lately, both falling into his old habit of shutting down and closing in on himself when he's hurt by Other people, and because he just like...wants to make sure he's still comfortable functioning by himself, because maybe he's Not and if he Is other people leaving his life won't hurt so much. but i think he's also trying to like...do it in a healthy way, and not shut down, and he's also trying to hang out with people that aren't his closest friends because he thinks it would be good to expand his social circle a little. also out of hopes that if someone leaves again he won't feel it as much. this means there's a lot of room for plotting with new people, yay! or reconnecting with people he hasn't spoken to in a while. but he is still pretty sad and is an introvert so he will not be doing anything that requires intricate planning or orchestration on his part slkdfjglsflkf ALSO NEW DELTA PEOPLE!! PLOT W HIM! he will still do his best to be welcoming and be a good sunbae, not an emo ass bitch for them .

HALLOWEEN

joomi is in a Creative Block rn to some degree and this unfortunately is extending to halloween costumes. he would be happy to go out and do halloween stuff with people though....he just probably will not be making the plans. he might honestly go and do some stuff by himself though, like the ghost tour...so there's an opportunity for him to run into pretty much anyone there! or maybe catch him shopping for a halloween costume just Staring at them with nothing calling to him. he could probably use some help in the costume department, especially for the trainee costume contest. he does not feel the need to win it but he does want to do a decent job, if only because delta is running the contest and he doesn't want to disappoint them LMAO he also might go to lotte world and check out the discounts by himself. he used to work there and hated it but it's been a year now and he's kinda interested to see how it feels now. he will probably be weirdly introspective if u run into him there. LJKSDFKLSKLD (also update as i was typing this post: joomi decided he wants to be dead aka a skeleton for halloween. so he will be in one of those goofy ass skeleton body suits for the axis party and probably a mask too that he doesn't wear for more than 5 mins because it gets hot)

GENERAL UPDATE

nayoung's Situationship (cam) has now left sr media and she is Just A Bit sad. but she's also like wow i can finally focus without him bothering me god bless. LKJSDLKFSLKDF but she's still being pretty antisocial...though she is at least Aware now that she Should interact with people more. there are just not many people in her life she does actively want to spend time with. but she is more willing to do things with others now, though chances are she won't initiate anything unless it is with her Palz, of which there are like, two off the top of my head. KLJSDLKFS so she may need some encouragement from others to not just Work all the time. she is still gaming and working at the convenience store in her minimal free time tho so plots around that are always possible!

HALLOWEEN

she will not go out of her way to participate in anything but if the right person/people ask her to do something she will! HOWEVER she is very determined to win the axis costume contest. she is just way too competitive. she has decided she's going to be medusa and she is going all out. makeup, gray contacts, curled hair, snake staff and snake headpiece – the works. costume is something in this zone. she will probably look very unsettling and will enjoy unnerving people all night! it would be nice if she had someone to get ready with and/or help her do her makeup too so that plot is open if we can get nayoung to like someone enough for that LMAO 😭 but she will also 100% be sucking up to their seniors and getting as much candy and such from them as she can

GENERAL UPDATE

riha got a dreamwave audition callback for lime BUT she did not actually go and audition. she chickened out and decided to pretend to be sick 😭 she just felt very unprepared for everything and even though she knows auditioning could only possibly be a good experience. she scawed. it made her think about if she Really wants to become an idol or not because she's really only doing it for her late mom and she's very intimidated by it. she thinks she does tho! so she's going to try to focus up so next time an audition opportunity comes around she feels ready for it. it's all made her think of her mom more though, and if riha is good at anything it's Running From Feelings, so you bet she's been trying to fill her life with Activities so she doesn't have time to be sad! unlike the others riha Will initiate and plan things with just about anyone. she's also vaguely looking into vocal lessons on top of the dance lessons she's already taking so she can Actually Improve, so more music-related plots would be nice now! but rly anything goes with her, she's always down for something new. most of the time anyway

HALLOWEEN

riha will be very happy to do halloween related stuff with anyone! she thinks halloween is very fun even though she gets easily scared. she loves seeing everyone's costumes, especially pretty girls LMAOOO that being said she is so facking indecisive she has no idea what she wants to be. so let her tag along with your group costume(s). she is down to go do fun things multiple days in different costumes and she would honestly like to try everything that's going on in the city for halloween! she will be very good at the zombie run honestly bc she's so active. i think she will have a lot of fun w that even though she will also be Screaming. if ur muse gets scared she can probably still run with them on her back bc she is a big strong girl. LKSDJFSFLSFD but she's open for a lot and is once again down for anything most of the time

this has been a blast.

granted, jay would’ve invited and been open to any sort of distraction from the thoughts in his mind. it’s easy, usually, living with his dramatic thoughts that barge their way into his head, sticking around for a long time until its impact is felt throughout his entire body. but the loud sound from the stage along with the friends he’s meeting in every corner of the venue had been rather helpful. that, and jay had made a game out of catching people off guard and hitting them with spurts of water from his newly purchased water gun.

nearing the restroom area, jay spots another familiar face. instincts take over immediately, causing jay to take aim and hit his target—which, in this moment, would be @bejoomi’s chest. right in the middle, actually. he should be proud of his aim! and he is, admittedly, obvious from the bright smile on his face.

“dad!” jay exclaims, belatedly of course, he wasn’t going to let joomi gain the upper hand by announcing his presence before shooting. that would be stupid. “you didn’t tell me you were coming! or… you did, and i forgot. that’s possible too.”

joomi seems so painfully defenseless, it’s almost tempting. “where’s your water gun? you have so many weak points! i can shoot you anywhere.”
