Jonte took off his shoes to climb on the not-so danger noodle out of respect, so are there other customs people should follow when climbing/cuddling/walking around big folxs?

The taking off shoes was a very Jonte thing to do. He reasoned that he wouldn't like it if someone walked with their shoes on him (leaving shoeprints!), so he wouldn't do it to Alvin. He would prefer to not climb on him at all but the noodle refused to properly unfurl from his ball of coils. :,)

I'll only talk about Alvin/nagas because otherwise it'll be a neverending ramble. Nagas are generally feared because of their size and nature so there aren't any customs for civil interactions. More in the lines of how to avoid them, where to aim or hit if you're being attacked, how to safely remove one from your land etc.

But "Alvins humans" put some of this knowledge to good use! Like when approaching him they're aware of the wind direction. If it's in his direction then he'll be aware of their presence through scent so he won't be likely to startle then. It's generally good to make sure he's aware when people are around. When cuddling it's best for the naga to be awake. If he's asleep he could easily squeeze a fragile human too hard. If he's recently eaten then he'd rather not have anyone near/on his stomach either. He's awfully self aware (and Brian's not helping). ;o

Thinking about the "Pastel Customs killed Joe Jontes wife" joke again.

Cause what a great character. What a strange joke to have become one of the most well known. To the point where 4 years later, people on an entirely different server are still making it. It's incredibly cool, to see what a simple tweet evolved into.

To add: Joe is such cool character, that even among the wild characters the AoE had, he still managed to stand out as unique. Like a good portion of the group wore masks, and yet this old man had such a personality that he became well known.
