Closed starter for @dragonskxn ((TEEHEE))
Well the tour HAD been going well up until about five minutes ago...
It was going on evening when the incident happened. They'd taken a wrong turn, an understandable mistake when they'd been chattering away so excitedly, Jonas about the history of Las Vegas and Annalise full of questions. And then they'd looked up, realized they were going down through an alleyway in a rough neighborhood and before Jonas could hastily steer them back into a safer direction...they'd run into trouble. And it had a gun.
Jonas tried. He honestly did. Anna could feel him trembling as he stepped in front of her, holding his hands out in a placating gesture. " L-Look we don't want trouble ok? Just uhm leave her out of this whole thing look I got my wallet here..."
THUNK!
Jonas caught the butt of the pistol right across his left temple, so hard it swept him off to the side and into the far wall with a noticeably loud THUD!
He lay there half-upright, eyes closed, blood beginning to run down the side of his face. Completely out for the count.
Poor little Annalise! Helpless! Exposed! The ruthless mugger approaches thinking her easy prey at this point...
But who's really the damsel in distress at this moment? It's Jonas it's always Jonas...

Note
Jonas for once was actually asleep, flopped halfway over his bed on his stomach, his head half buried in a pillow. He'd staggered in at some ungodly hour of the morning or night and pretty much passed out the second he hit the bed. And he must have been completely exhausted because the most reaction she got out of him was a little mumble and shifting of his body.
Annalise might have to resort to more drastic measures to rouse him up.
Send 😼 to turn my muse into a cat/kitten for a thread ((KIBBY))
She didn't expect to wake up in her borrowed penthouse suite bedroom much smaller, fluffier, and four-legged than she normally was. Anna spotted herself in the nearby mirror and fluffed up in fright — she was a cat?! How?! Even Smudge was surprised, staring at Anna as if she were a stranger.
The poofy ragdoll cat jumped off the bed and hurried over to the cracked-open bedroom door, squeezing through the thin gap and trying to find Jonas, meowing loudly all the way.
"MAOWWWW. MAAAOOWWW. MAAAAAAAAAAA—"

A Busy Week in Women's Boxing!
Was looking at the schedule for this week and there is so much happening in women's boxing so going to lay it all out in one convenient place.
Over on Boxxer and Peacock we have Collision Course. In the main event, the IBF and WBC welterweight championships will be on the line, as champions Natasha Jonas and Ivana Habazin face off. Jonas is a former standout GB amateur that has found huge success in the pros. She's a two weight world champion. She's recently got a win over fellow multi division champion Mikaela Mayer. At 40 years old, she's made a good career for herself. Habazin is a Croatian boxer that is probably known best for being the loser in high profile match ups - Shields, Harper, Braekhus, Lauren, etc. But she is a two time world champion, having recently won a world title after having a ten year title drought.
In the co-main, Olympic gold medalist Lauren Price gets a mandatory fight out the way. She is coming off the biggest win of her pro career, a dominant win over former undisputed welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill for the WBA title. She'll take on Colombian Bexcy Mateus. Card is on Saturday (Dec. 14) on Peacock for those in the US. On SkySports for those in the UK.
Over on DAZN, Golden Boy Promotions has a card going down on Saturday (Dec. 14) as well. On the undercard we will get to see the return of former Olympic bronze medalist and former united flyweight champion Marlen Esparza. Esparza is coming off a big loss, where she lost her title on the scale, and then proceeded to lose on the cards. She is now moving up to super flyweight (115lbs). She'll take on fellow former flyweight champion Arely Mucino. Mucino is a long time veteran of the pro scene as well as a 4x world champion. She turned pro back in 2008 and has been competing at the highest levels of the sport since 2010. It's a good crossroads fight between two 35 year old boxers that are looking for one last run at world championships.
Another former Olympian! Brazilian Beatriz Ferreira is back from her stint at the 2024 Olympic games. A silver medalist at the 2020 Olympics, she added a bronze medal to her cabinet this year. But she's also the IBW lightweight champion. It's a division that has suddenly filled up with interesting fighters - Caroline Dubois, Bo Mi Re Shin, Terri Harper, Imane Khelif, etc. So there are fights for someone like Beatriz to chase. But first, she'll have to get through Frenchwoman Licia Boudersa. Boudersa is one of those French fighters that has fought their whole career in France against meh opposition, so they have an impressive looking record just from staying active.
We have a rematch this week. The last time Esneidy Rodriguez and Sana Hazuki, there was some wonkiness with the scoring so they're running it again. Rodriguez is an undefeated Mexican fighter on the come up. Sana Hazuki is a Japanese journeywoman. She's fought for a couple of world titles and come up short. Her record looks bad (12-9) but that's part fighting in a division with a small pool of fighters and part constantly fighting world champions (Yokasta Valle, Nanae Suzuki, Mika Iwakawa, Eri Matsuda). A true youth vs experience style match up.
ANOTHER former Olympian! This time from Canada. 2020+2024 Olympian and former amateur world champion Tamm Thibeault will make her pro debut on Friday over on DAZN. Didn't even realize the Canadian had signed with MVP (Jake Paul's outfit) or was planning on going pro. Only 27 years old and in a division as shallow as middleweight, she's got the potential to go far. First she has to deal with journeywoman Natasha Spence.
Last we have a couple fights going down in Australia.
Kaye Scott is a 40 year old who is a pioneer of the sport in Australia. She was part of the first ever sanctioned women's fight in the country. She represented the country on the amateur scene for years, taking home silver medals up at light heavyweight in 2016 and 2023 at the world championships. She recently made her move pro in November 2023 and quickly rattled off 4 wins. Now she's getting a title shot. It's a rematch with Desley Robinson, a woman she beat earlier this year. Robinson is a known entity, having fought Lani Daniels for the LHW title as well.
Do you remember John Wayne Parr? Legend of Australian muay thai? Well his daughter, Jazzy Parr, is also a fighter. And a pretty good one at that. While she's done quite a bit of kickboxing and muay thai, she seems to have settled on boxing as her primary sport. At least for now. The 21 year old has run up a 6-0 record in the sport and looks poised to make a run at a world title at bantamweight. She is set to face her most experienced opponent to date, former world champion Shannon O'Connell.
There is more but I fear this might run long. But if you're even a tiny bit interested in any of these fights, I implore you to seek them out. It's a good week to start getting into women's boxing as there's a lot going on globally and a lot of it will be available on streaming or TV depending on where you live.

#NJDevils starters
*Update per media site:
-Tatar-Hischier-Mercer
-Dillon-Hamilton
-Markstrom
Under way in DC
#NJDevils PP coming up.
- Bratt, Hischier, Hamilton, Meier, Hughes on the ice
Back to even strength
Nico knocked to the ground but is ok
PP2 out there - Haula, Noesen, Mercer, Casey, Tatar
#NJDevils second power play of the period coming up - 4:50 into the game. Hughes, Meier, Hamilton, Bratt, Hischier out there.
Seven giveaways for the #NJDevils about halfway through the first period.
Seamus Casey! #NJDevils have tied this game at 1. 6:18 left in the first period.
Paul Cotter's nifty hands have singlehandedly created two high danger chances this period.
Cotter - Haula - Noesen is buzzing
Second period underway in D.C. #NJDevils with a 2-1 lead.
Capitals score 32 seconds in to tie the game 2-2. Dylan Strome with the goal.
Dylan Strome gets one by Markstrom.
Not the start the #NJDevils wanted.
Tied at 2.
Jack Hughes misses the net on a breakaway.
He's snakebitten right now.
While falling Tomas Tatar scores to give the #NJDevils a 3-2 lead! 16:04 left in the 2nd.
Hughes breakaway shot high and wide.
Upon replay it looks like Lindgren did get a piece of it.
Tatar has been dangerous tonight, another solid scoring chance for him.
Thought he was hooked, too. No call.
I, personally, see no issue with Kovacevic getting tagged with a matching minor for sticking up for Meier.
#NJDevils continue with the theme of showing that they can't be messed with, like last season.
4-on-4 hockey coming up with 10:10 left in the second period.
Dubois and Kovacevic each assessed minor penalties.
Paul Cotter! #NJDevils with a 4-2 lead. 6:22 left in the 2nd period. Stefan Noesen has three assists tonight
The change to put Cotter, Haula, Noesen together has paid off in this one. Cotter with two goals, three primary assists for Noesen, three secondary assists for Haula.
Cotter sent off for slashing. #NJDevils penalty kill on deck.
Killed off - back to even strength.
Second period done. #NJDevils with a 4-2 lead. Tatar (Noesen, Haula) and Cotter (Noesen, Haula) with NJ's goals in the middle frame.
Paul Cotter ties a career-high 2 goals in a game. Stefan Noesen's 3 assists are a career-high. Erik Haula ties a career-high 3 assists in a game.
3rd period coming up
Tom Wilson scores 1:35 into the third period to bring this game within one. #NJDevils holding on to a 4-3 lead.
First time Siegenthaler - Kovacevic have allowed a goal this season.
The #NJDevils are back on the power play
19 seconds of 4-on-4 before the Capitals have a power play. Bratt to the box.
Bratt is out of the box and devils back to full strength
Jonas Siegenthaler can buy himself a steak dinner for bailing himself out of that turnover.
Tough shift for Ondrej Palat. He's been better tonight, but a weak play below the goal line and then a turnover at the Capitals blue line nearly cost the #NJDevils and tied that game.
#NJDevils back to the man advantage
Interesting message maybe sent by Sheldon Keefe here. Starts the powerplay with the second unit instead.
Dougie Hamilton has been much better defensively in these early games, IMO. That's very important for the #NJDevils .
Kovechkin just shoved Ovechkin after the whistle.
You're welcome for relaying this information.
Empty net goal by Mercer! #NJDevils with a 5-3 lead.
Devils win 5-3

((Makeup Fun continued from here))
@dragonskxn
" Oh that's a pretty brush! Thanks Anna! " Jonas looks at the brush in admiration and then glances up at Annalise. A little smile crosses his face.
" You know I really love doing makeup anyways and you've got time now being in Vegas...would you uh be ok with me doing your makeup for you? " he asked. Annalise was such a cutie it could be a tremendous amount of fun and he'd love the chance to do that for her.

" Fucking yes..." Jonas said as he got behind the cart, grabbed the side of it and...proceeded to strain, huff and wheeze for a few seconds as he vainly attempted to shift the cart. He managed to make it move about five inches. It was pretty sad.
" Ok uh...hhhh...I'll steer...you push...ok? " he finally gasped out as he circled around to the front of the cart and grabbed a hold of the corner. Smudge was a pretty hefty boy. At least he seemed pretty settled in his new surroundings, thank God for that. He couldn't imagine steering a cart down the hallway with a restless big guy like Smudge in tow.
" Wh-when you turn...th-the corner there there's a few stairs that go...up to th-the next floor but it's not t-too steep..." he said.
Starter for @foxedthecards
Out of all the cities she had traveled to since moving to America, Vegas was definitely the most...interesting.
The dragoness had come to enter her pig, Smudge, in a pet competition, held in a hotel of all places. Poor guy only got second place, the winning prize going to a pair of very irritable Sphinx cats wearing matching Elvis outfits.
Still, it was far too late in the evening to try and drive back home, and ironically enough, the hotel that hosted the competition didn't allow pets in their rooms, leaving Annalise to walk the streets of Vegas walking her hog on a leash, looking for a place to stay.
"Smudge, stop pulling so much!" Anna yelps, gripping the leash as the 800-pound hog forces his way through a small gaggle of tourists, parting them like the Red Sea and nearly barreling into the magician performing.
"Sorry, sorry- I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt-" She stammers, finally getting a good hold on the leash. "I guess he really wants to see a magic show."

Forever ago I made a post about women’s boxing champions by country. Can no longer find it but basically it was about how Mexico was whooping the rest of the world’s ass by having the most champs. Thanks to a mix of the pandemic and many of their best fighters pushing 40 though, many of the country’s champions have lost their titles. I’m not gonna do another breakdown by country but thought it’d be interesting to see where the trends are going.
First off, when I made that list (2017-ish), I think the U.S. had two world champions - Claressa Shields and maybe Kali Reis or Franchon Crews-Dezurn? Actually, it might have been just Shields. Now there are 8 American women who own like 18 world titles between them. Two of them (Shields and Jessica McCaskill) are undisputed champions (they own all 4 titles) and Crews-Dezurn will be fighting for unified at super middleweight soon hopefully. It’s a nice mix of new and old faces. Former Olympians like Mikaela Mayer and Marlen Esparza have emerged to grab world titles while long time mainstays on the pro scene like Kali Reis, Mary McGee, and Seniesa Estrada finally getting world titles. Plus you have someone like Jessica McCaskill emerging from obscurity to capture gold relatively early in her career. It’s worth noting though that of all these champions, only 3 are signed to major promotions (Mayer, Estrada, and Esparza). Some of the remaining *may* be signed to Eddie Hearn but it’s hard to discern at the moment. Just goes to show how hard it is, even with the growth of women’s boxing, for these women to get paid seriously.
Another interesting trend is the growth of women’s boxing in the UK. When I made that first list, there were no UK women’s boxing world champs. Adams was forced to retire before she could win one and unlike the US, the UK doesn’t really have a history of having women’s champions. So them having four world champs now is kind of astonishing - Savannah Marshall, Chantelle Cameron, Terri Harper, and Shannon Courtenay. And they have a big crop of up and coming boxers from the amateur who seemed to be getting signed monthly - Caroline Dubois, Sandy Ryan, Ebonie Jones, Carly Skelly, Rhiannon Dixon, Stevi Levy, Ellie Scotney, etc. plus you have contenders like Natasha Jonas and Rachel Ball floating around. There seems to be a pipeline of talent that is getting money invested into it and I can’t see that not translating into multiple world titles in the not so distant future.
Not represented well in the world title picture and forgotten because of how hard it is to get out these countries right now, but be on the lookout for New Zealand and Australia in the near future. Women like Mea Motu, Cherneka Johnson, and Taylah Robertson are people to keep eyes out for.
