April is proving to be a good month.

JOJODay is coming up April 12th (I have a lil one-shot and a drawing to drop), Sylus’s birthday banner is going to drop in a few days, and I have a little vacation coming up (not spring break, I just happened to request time off around the same time). Work is fine; I'm just tired. :/

JOJO NEWS: New JoJo event announced for April 2025 - JOJODAY

JOJODAY, a 'fan festival' event celebrating the history of the JoJo anime, has been announced for the 12th April 2025 by the official JoJo anime twitter account. More information, including a link to a JOJODAY website can be found here: https://x.com/anime_jojo/status/1867495556572213641?s=46

We currently do not have any ticket information or further details about the event, but we do know that this event will be focusing on the past and future of the JoJo anime, with the Japanese voice actors for Jonathan Joestar (Kazuyuki Okitsu), Jotaro Kujo (Daisuke Ono) and Leone Abbacchio (Junichi Suwabe) appearing on stage at some point during the event. The venue for this event is the Yoyogi National Stadium. That is all the official information we currently have. In my opinion though, this is the closest we have ever been to a Steel Ball Run anime announcement - Stone Ocean was announced at a similar event (in April 2021 mind you), and with this event specifically focusing on the past and future of the anime it would be the perfect opportunity for them to announce a Steel Ball Run anime. One of the key art pieces for JOJODAY includes all of the old universe JoJo's looking back at someone. Could it maybe be Johnny..?

今日は代々木第二体育館にて公演ABEMAにて配信された「JOJODAY STAGE」を見ていました。

まだアーカイブがあるので詳しいことは言えませんがキャスト陣によるエピソードトークにクイズにサプライズゲストに名シーン投票結果発表に主題歌ライブにサプライズ情報にと終始笑いあり感動のイベントでした。

そして荒木先生、興津くん、小野D、諏訪部さん、ファイちゃん、三宅さん、杉田くん、おのゆ、オノケン、一生さん、TOMMYさん、Codaさん、JINさん、コバさん、内田アナ、岩井くん、足立ちゃん、ゴー☆ジャスさん、ママタルトのお二人、スタッフの皆様、そしてJOJODAYに関わる全ての皆様、ふるえるぞハート!燃え尽きるほどにヒート!なイベントをありがとうございました。そして7部アニメ今から楽しみにしています。

Steel Ball Run is not confirmed. 102 Days until JOJODAY.. And it's also New Year's Eve! I'm wishing everyone a safe, productive and enjoyable 2025, and a big year for Steel Ball Run too! This past year has been pretty crazy for SBR news, so let's hope the momentum continues for the next year. 2025 is gonna be a big year for JoJo fans, I can feel it!

JOJO NEWS: JOJODAY booth to appear at Jump Festa 2025

The Warner Bros. Japan booth at Jump Festa 2025 (21st - 22nd December 2024) will include multiple JOJODAY goodies, including a themed shopping bag, promotional card and a digital Photo Booth where you can take a picture with up to 84 JoJo characters!

JOJO NEWS: JOJODAY Recap January - March 2025

Hi guys! I had to take a little break from covering JOJODAY due to an internet outage, but here's a brief recap of all the news that's came out throughout the last two months:

JOJODAY Event

Online broadcast tickets for JOJODAY are available until Saturday, March 23rd at 23:59 JST.

Lottery / General seat tickets are already sold out.

The online broadcast for JOJODAY will begin at 17:00 JST, with the event starting an hour later at 18:00 JST. More importantly, an online broadcast allows for people to (illegally) stream the broadcast via. twitch or other platforms, similar to the last major JOJO event. This means people outside of Japan will be able to view this broadcast as it happens.

The JOJODAY official website (https://jojo-portal.com/special/jojoday2025/stage/) has been further updated, including information on online tickets, rewards for purchasing tickets and terms and conditions for entering the event.

Kendo Kobayashi has been announced as the MC for JOJODAY, with video appearances from the voice actors of Joseph Joestar (Tomokazu Sugita) and Giorno Giovanna (Kensho Ono), alongside Tomoki Ono (can't currently verify who this is..?).

JOJODAY Episode Vote

A "General Election" to decide the best of all 190 JoJo episodes is currently open! Voting closes on the 30th March 2025 at 23:59 JST, with the results being announced during the JOJODAY event.

Voting should be open to every country, so if you would like to vote please visit https://jojo-portal.com/special/jojoday2025/episode-vote/ !

JOJO X Shibuya

The main bulk of new JOJODAY news has been surrounding this event: JOJO X Shibuya is a collaboration event taking place in the city of Shibuya between March 21st and April 28th 2025.

Various stores and hotels within the city will be participating in this event - A full course menu in participating Excel Hotel Tokyu hotels will be available, featuring food inspired by several parts of JoJo.

Merchandise of the series will also be available through hotel packages and stores throughout Shibuya. The first round of applications to attend both popup shops closed on March 11th, but the second round is currently open!

Various smaller events will be held during JOJO X Shibuya as well, such as a "JOJODAY flag" event and the raising of the world's biggest Iggy Balloon (3.3m tall!) in front of the SHIBUYA109 popup store. Here's an estimation of what that would look like:

I personally think it should've been a big Gyro balloon but hey, you can't win them all.

Anyway, Six photo spots will be opening throughout Shibuya from March 21st, alongside several "food facilities" (most likely serving the aforementioned JoJo food).
