Okay so, y'all can call me Rumi, I am 20 years old and have just recently joined the Fandom of Journey To The West. I have not yet read the book, but I have the audio book ready and waiting for me.

As you can see on my pfp, I am a fan of Lego Monkie Kid, but at the current moment, I have not yet completed the series. Dw tho, I am slowly progressing to the end.

I like to write and I will drabble some x reader stuff on here for y'all thirsty asses(I am thirsty asses) and I hope you guys will enjoy what I have to offer. My pronouns are she/her but they/them are also cool👍

Now, for my writing...

I am not someone who rlly takes requests. I wrote some stuff before, accepting requests and whatnot, but the sheer amount became overwhelming and quite stressful, which burnt me out. A request or two(or three) is a-okay for me tho.

Share me your ideas!! A drabble is what I enjoy the most and I won't mind making headcannons either, those are quite fun.

Long stories are something I have not yet experimented with, so I don't think I would he making any soon due to my waning motivation levels. A one-shot would probably the most common thing to find here.

Speaking of motivation, I probably won't post a lot, and might dissapear for months on end. I am not dead, I assure you that.

My writing style would probably be prompts or drabbles and the occasional headcanon or two. Long stories will be rare, if not non-existent. I leave those to the more motivated and clearly more talented authors out there.

Okay! Time to spill the tea, except it's not really tea, it's more like lukewarm juice aka my future plans and some more ramblings.. ahem ⚆_⚆

First of all, I wanna say just how much I enjoyed creating Somnium. It all started during lockdown... I found myself working from home full-time, I had the perfect excuse to be the homebody I was born to be, I had a lot of time on my hands, and once I found simblr I couldn't resist joining in. It didn't take too long before I decided to hop on the storytelling train and before I knew it, I had a new hobby! Except.. that hobby kinda consumed me. I didn't even know where it was going to begin with, but the more involved I got, the more obsessed I became. Hyperfixations amirite?

The point being.. I think I spent a little too much time on Somnium, which left me little time for much else and I don't want to fall down that hole again. In the future I'd like to challenge my perfectionism! What does that mean? Well, it means not making poses for every scene, it means not being restricted by a complicated overarching plot that requires forced filler scenes and timelines and needs to make sense, it means less dialogue, or gasp! no dialogue at all, it means not getting hung up on continuity with editing and g-shade and font style and blah blah etc etc. I'd even like to incorporate some gameplay too, since I miss just.. playing now n' then.

I want the freedom to think of something silly, or weird, or completely off topic and to be able to run with it instead of being bound by a plot that needs to progress. Am I making sense? I hope I'm making sense. Basically, I'm calling this next venture a "story not story" because rather than it having one large plot, it's going to be more like clusters of subplots with some gameplay, weirdness or silliness in between...

Forever In Between will kick off around about two years after the events of Somnium. Mostly focused on Oscar and his family, we'll join them on the journey of life as Robin and his siblings grow up in the Bay.

We'll also spend some time with other favourites too like Noah n' co. Salton, Ivan & Bruno, Suzie, Miya & [redacted] and Matilda, among others! Maybe we'll even see what Wyatt's up to at some point 👀 As we all know, life isn't always sunshine and rainbows, but Forever In Between (or fib for short) will be a lot less heavy, though hopefully no less interesting!

Obviously, I don't have any set plans but I have a few specific scenes and ideas in mind already, as well as some vague subplots planned for most, if not all of the main characters from Somnium.

Also! Although Oscar is very much still a main character, he'll be sharing the spotlight with Robin too, as I have a lot in mind for that special lil' guy.. tehe!

So, what's next?! I want to make a lil promo before I start and then I've gotta.. y'know, actually start working on it. I have the first few scenes in mind but then we're wingin' it baby! The best plan is no plan and all that... I'm being kind to myself though, so idk when we'll start, real soon though!

I've already given everyone makeovers and gotten a few of the main builds out of the way, enough for me to get started at least, and I'd like to make a new navigation/pinned post too.

I wanna be more organised as well, so story posts will be tagged as "forever in between" & "fib" and bloopers, extras, builds, cas pics etc etc. will be tagged as "fib" & "fib extras"!

Obviously what I want is to shift so I thought it'd be fun if a wrote out how my first shift wake up would go. So let's all just pretend for a second that I've shifted (OMG!!! CONGRATS BUGGIE!!!! So this is how my first shift to my Fame D.R. went:

[The day after my two weeks ended and I was officially unemployed, October 1, 2001. I woke up when I felt the bed dip next to me. I kept my eyes closed and didn't move. I felt someone lightly rub my back and gently say]

Gee: Good morning, Bug. Me and Mikey have to go run some errands, afterwards we're gonna pick up Ray, then we'll all come pick you guys up. Then we'll head to the party, ok?

[He looked at me and waited for me to open my eyes.]

Buggie: Yeah, sure 

[I say as I flipped over trying hide the fact that I was freaking out.]

Gee: C’mon Bug, wakey wakey

Buggie: I’m awake

Gee: Prove it

[Finally I opened my eyes and saw Gee smiling down at me, I sat up.]

Buggie: Errands, pick up Ray, then me and Abbi, got it. What time should we be ready by?

Gee: Well we want to be there by eight ish, it's (checks watch) 10:00 so probably 7:00? Gives us enough to finish errands and eat something, sound ok? 

Buggie: Perfect

Gee: Oh, and eat something will you? Real food, not just a Coke. Abbi's cookin', we woulda stuck around and ate with ya, but we’re late

[I nodded my head and held out my arms (a bitch needed a hug fight me)]

Gee: Everything ok?

Buggie: [I nodded my head] Uh huh, I just had a bad dream, would you get Mikey before you guys leave? 

Gee: Sure, I’ll go get him

[I held on for a second, after I let go he stands. A few minutes later Mikey appeared in the doorway.]

Mikey: Hey kid, heard you had a bad dream

[He sits on the bed]

Buggie: Yeah, I just wanted to say bye

[I hugged him, he rubbed my back lightly to comfort me]

Mikey: Wanna talk about it?

Buggie: I’m ok, I don’t wanna make y’all more late

Mikey: Eh, what’s a few more minutes?

Buggie: Really it was nothing, I don’t even really remember it anymore 

Mikey: Ok, but if you need anything just call

Buggie: I will, I’ll see ya later

Mikey: See ya later, kid

The second that door closed I fully freaked out, questioning if this was real, doing reality checks, looking around, grabbing things, you know trying to make sure I was grounded. I was trying to contain my excitement and keep quiet cuz I didn't want to alarm anyone lol. After I somewhat composed myself I ran to my phone to check out my lifa app (yes that's something I kept from old shiftok lol) I explored it a bit, until I was calm, then I decided to go to the kitchen and have breakfast with Abbi.

Just a lil reminder this was me living in the end! I don't want y'all to think I'm lying or anything I just thought this would be fun and helpful for my journey :)

I've narrowed myself down to two games I wanna play, those being EverHood or UnderHero

Both are indie games I've have sitting in my game library forever that I've heard amazing things about!

A lil snippet bout the games for the uninformed, based on the Steam pages:

UnderHero is a 2D side-scrolling RPG adventure game. It tells the story of a world where the chosen hero has failed and an underling of the main villain takes his place as the new “hero”. Join Elizabeth IV and the little Masked Kid as they journey across the Chestnut Kingdom to defeat your evil boss, Mr. Stitches! Meet friends, foes and other weird characters in the mysterious world of UnderHero. The main gimmick of this game is it's a turned based combat system, but without the turns! Precisely timed actions are your most powerful weapons.

EverHood is an unconventional adventure RPG that takes place in an inexpressible world filled with amusing musical battles and strange delightful encounters. To put it simply: You are in for a ride. All thats given on the story is you control a wooden doll whose arm has been stolen by a blue gnome. The combat is seemingly rhythm and bullet dodging based with a great soundtrack to compliment it.

I will make an attempt to make these games accessible, especially those who are photosensitive. I know EverHood explicitly points out that there are accessibility settings in this regard, and according to DoesTheDogDie.com, there isn't any flashing lights, but there is "shakey cam." Regardless I'll look into the settings for both!

A sweet, dominant Naruto is 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 he's got a firm hand but a tender heart, the perfect combo in my book 🥰 a lot of people wite him as a sub, and I get that could be a thing, but he just gives me Dom energy with a undercurrent of softness and care.

I think his head strong, leadership aura is perfect for coaxing Hinata from her comfort zone and exploring the different layers of sexuality and personality, and he's accepting of the way she is. He tests her boundaries but he also respects her hard limits 🥰 it's really very sweet, I swear, but Naruto himself is a sweetheart, so it comes with the territory.

Omg, the Ino situation, lot of people have inquired about that teasing attraction dynamic 😂 Ino does like a bit of Hina, but she's so cute, and sweet and adorable, who wouldn't want a bit of Hina?

Their three-way union will be writhe with excitement, soul searching and exploration. I cannot wait to get to that part. This is a slow burn for a reason though, I don't think any of them are the type to jump into something like this either, it needs time and foundation to get to that point. Sasuke can be very stubborn, Hinata can be very shy, Naruto can be very Naruto, it's a delicate balance that I'm not gonna rush, don't you worry!

Secrets doesn't have m/m action(not in the context that we're talking about at least🤭) since there's so much angst and emotional stuff going on, I didn't want to overwhelm myself with it, however, A Cure For Love does have m/m intimacy. That fic is a supernatural, enemies to lovers, throuple story.

wild. i was catching up on your blog yesterday after like 2 years, and when i looked at your about i was like "oh this is so old!" because i knew you'd already done a lot of the stuff you talked about wanting. sorry if this is weird from an anon but it was wonderful, you were running circles around everyone else i followed, and around me too. you kicked me into gear really. i only even started looking at hypno twitter again now b/c i'm about to move states and i wanna graduate from lurking!

Sometimes I think about what impact I've made, however small it may be. I haven't written actively on this blog in years, back when hypnosis Tumblr was alive and thriving, and I'm not nearly as prolific with content as I am on Twitter now. I've recently been accepted to teach at Charmed! which is exciting, but I realize I know fewer and fewer attendees, and even fewer know me. And things are different - it's hard not to feel a bit behind the times!

But I still get anons asking for advice, or referencing a previous story I wrote. Sometimes if I'm lucky, I get anons like this, that make my entire week. Hey y’all know how I said a day or two ago(haha what’s time?) how I needed to remind myself I have too many WIPs? Because I was trying to be a reasonable human being? And act like I’d be responsible rather than a feral WIP hoarder?

Yeah toss that rightttt out of a five story window. Through mixed waves of nostalgia, excitement, and the fact that I’ve become a far better fanfic writer compared to my FF.net days(shudders) I’m thinking of returning to a fandom. Which, I think might have been my first ever fandom? The first one I ever actively tried to make stuff for.

The stuff wasn’t awesome lmao I can look back and laugh at it but damn old me wtf were you ON—

Point is, I’m thinking of dragging up and redoing some of my old old old stories. Which, makes me really excited. It’d be awesome to give something I really love a new coat of paint, y’know? I also know though that - or I think at least - not a ton of my mutuals are involved in this fandom. Wouldn’t blame you, it’s a long-lived one that’s already been through one reboot(which I admit, I side eye it. Just a bit.)

Holy SHIT I loved that series. I still love that series. Honestly though I loved the first season of it, with the Serpentine tribes, more than the other seasons but even the other seasons were fuckin’ GREAT.

I always wanted to add a little more mystic-ness to the story though. Like, looking through my old stuff, I definitely had great ideas and never pulled them off.

That stops today. I’ve grown as a writer! I know proper grammar now! I know how to make awesome plot lines and cool OCs! I GOT THIS!!

One of the stories was a Ninjago-Maximum Ride crossover, which I think I’m gonna revamp entirely. Toss out the old and put in the new with a addition of witchcraft, worldbuilding, and me finally screaming about how in canon the Serpentine were heavily fucked over time and time again. For real, someone give me permission to go off. I’ll holler like a dog.

Second story was introducing a group of humanized Phoenixes and not much else lmao. Never got as far as the first chapter of Nya joining the group, would need also to be restarted because of the simple fact that it never grew past that point.

The third story which was involving a group of serial killers(made after my journey through Creepypasta woods) and the fourth which had dragons from a different universe(which were the girls from House of Anubis, stolen lol) will both just…be put away for good. I’m not sure I wanna doing these back, both for now or forever. I’m glad for them, but perhaps those sleeping dogs can simply rest.

Also I’m gonna outright bitch now because I was wrong I can’t hold it in I don’t need permission. What the hell. What the hell was that thing they did in the first season. The Serpentine were literally locked up alive underground, no way of escape. Pythor had to cannibalize his own people. He became the last of his kind. Isn’t that genocide? That was a whole tribe except for one dude wiped out that is fucking tragic. He had every right to go nuts I cannot believe that was included in episode FOUR of a CHILDRENS SHOW.

4: a word that makes you go absolutely feral

Oh geez, uhm... Honestly I don't think I really have one? Or at least not one that Lingers. I have some Emotions about the word "prejudice" but that's because of the standard "kid forced to read aloud in class has never heard word spoken before and makes educated guess based on English rules and guesses Very Wrong and Gets Laughed At" thing but like.. honestly that's just grumpy, mostly. I get grumpy about words that I have to type a lot, especially if they're longer words that I have problems spelling, but.. honestly nothing really sticks in my mind, lol

19: writing journey

ALRIGHT KIDS BUCKLE UP--

Okay but seriously it's not really that spectacular.

I lived on a farm in the middle of nowhere and wrote and drew to entertain myself until the internet actually became A Real Thing I Could Access around about when I was ten. I joined IRC rping channels like a year later, crafted myself a FASCINATING persona I'm pretty sure everyone and their brother saw thru, continued rping with those same people for years, found a Early Form of what would eventually become known as the Nexus (shout out to the best tiny art/writing community ever. The dragons are definitely the second best bit) and proceeded to go absolutely hogwild with terrible cliche characters and stories and DRAGONS until college basically killed all of our free time and the community went into hibernation, was in the process DEEPLY traumatized by witnessing the bullshit Anne McCaffrey's lawyer put some members of the community thru when I was Very Young (this is out of order, the trauma happened when I was a wee lil hatchling just lurking along the edges of the community, but eh, it Lingers ya know?) and proceeded to be 1000% gunshy about fanfiction for the better part of like 15 or so years before a friend finally convinced me to post the first chapter of Dragon Eclipse.

Oh and the Nexus came out of hibernation like two years ago and I would not have survived the pandemic without them. Moving on.

32: a line from a poem/novel/fanfic etc that you return to from time and time again

So I have really shit specific memory so I don't actually have Specific Lines or anything (I cannot quote anything verbatim and have never been able to) but honestly I wanna say that Tamora Pierce's Tortall and Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar have meant a great deal to me growing up and that they still do now. There's a lot of Hope in those stories, and the characters resonated with me a lot and still do.
