WAIT HOLY SHIT, actually? A Monster High genderswap Phantom of the Opera COULD go had as fuck. But in my perfect world, they all date each other 💚. I’m probably the only one excited for this comic, because due to me often combining my favorite ships into polycules (Frackson x Johperetta being one of them just for me), Frankie x Johnny became one of my rarest pairs. And then I like Frankie x Operetta because of a single fanfiction so I hope they don’t make this comic super bad 😭

Why in the WORLD are the comics trying to make FrankiexJohnny a thing. Where is this coming from. I do not understand.

Okay listen, I said this in my last response to someone but I get it and I am probably the only one who likes the idea of them. They’re bad boy x new smart girl, which when done right im always a sucker for, but the real reason I like it is because my top 2 g1 ships are Frackson and Johperetta, and to be self indulgent I like to mix my ships into polycules and Frankie x Johnny was a part of that. So to ME it’s like making my biggest crackship canon which is hilarious to me. But in my best universe Frankie would date both of them. I think everyone at Monster High is just one big polycule.

The last question was asking if I thought Operetta would have a Phantom moment, and tbh, if the writer is smart enough (that’s not a dig at them idk who they are or if their writing will actually be really good!!!) then we could get a really cool POTO au out of this!!! And that would be so silly!!! I’d like that.

As for WHY they’re shipping them… tbh, my biggest theories are 1. As I said, good girl x bad boy, and 2. The ONLY THING Frankie has EVER said about Johnny is “He IS kinda cute… in a scary sorta way!”

So im just excited. But im probably just optimistic. Im hoping to get something fun out of this—besides, maybe the comics are just their own g1 centric multiverse and can be taken as such!

johnny was aware of her power, and even though he had never heard her voice, he was sure it was beautiful. there had to be a way for him to hear the phantom’s ghost. somehow, he was going to figure out a way to hear her voice. when she giggled, it made his heart warm up. before he had met her, his heart was cold and angry. he used to not believe in love and he stayed away from people, often isolating himself on purpose. the only reason he was like that, however, was to protect himself so he couldn’t get hurt.

“ i know that you’re a performer. that’s why i l.... “ he paused, quickly stopping himself. he wasn’t wanting to say those words just yet. he was taking things slow with the ghoul and he doubted that she felt the same way as him. johnny just didn’t want to be rejected by the ghoul, or make her uncomfortable. he couldn’t risk it. the ghost would rather just be quiet than say what was on his mind.

I do NOT understand the lack of appreciation for Operetta x Johnny as a ship. They are literally THE most insufferable couple on the planet—they did enemies to lovers in 3 minutes, they gotta height difference of like 3 fuckin feet, and after Johnny’s introduction they’re almost ALWAYS together. Plus they’re both the same period people they 100% watch Grease and go “That’s so us”. Anyway Johperetta is one of my top 3
