Hi everyone. I've been asked by Ahed (@ahed-family2) to share his story with you.

Ahed is a young student who was supposed to take his high school exams this year, but has been prevented from doing so due to this genocidal war in Gaza. He has an older brother Mohammed, who is a talented university student, and two younger brothers Majd and Karim.

Their home have been destroyed and they are now displaced and living in a tent. Unfortunately, the tent cannot shield them from the heavy rain, and everything they had, their clothes, their bedding, is completely soaked! Most devastating of all is that all the flour they have has been soaked and spoiled by the rain. This is a huge blow to the family as food is very expensive and very hard to come by in Gaza! In Southern Gaza, flour is now 1560% more expensive than usual!

Please help them! With winter coming and the soaring prices of food, things are only going to get more difficult for the family! And that is in addition to the frequent bomb threats they have to face!

Please read this as if I'm a member of your family . maybe your sister, daughter or a friend and as if my family who's under death now is yours.

My name is Sahar. A marketer shopping from Gaza, athe dreams she worked for but found herself losing the city she’s living in and losing any hope of a better future with it . And after a whole 4 years of studying and internship, the war had another idea.

I have 4 children: Hala the oldest, Rital, Odi, and Talin. We had a house full of love, dreams, and hopes that we strive to achieve one by one, but the war came and destroyed everything. We strive to travel outside Gaza to preserve our lives and obtain safety.

. In 15th of January 2024 my son Odai has An injury in his leg byShooting from a quadcopter aircraft in a shelter belonging to the UN Relief Agency

This loss circle didn’t end here, cause after more than 5 times of being displaced and having to leave our house escaping from rockets and death, we returned to our house and found it almost wiped off, more than half if it was destroyed and became an unlivable place leaving us not only with tired hearts but also without a place to stay in

Our Home

We are suffering in the UNRWA shelter center from overcrowding, the spread of diseases, pollution, and the difficulty of obtaining water and entering the bathroom due to the large number present in the place. It has been a year since this suffering.

Look what this horrible war has done to us. It has turned our lives upside down. It is hard for your mind to imagine. You were living in a villa with all your necessities and luxury items available until the war transferred you to live in a school for more than 13 months. We saw death 100 times a minute. I have attached pictures of the suffering of living in the school.

The situation after almost 13 months of this genocide is that the borders of Gaza are still unfortunately closed and no one can get out of it, of course unless you pay the most money to save your life and cross the Rafah crossing to reach Egypt, as crossing the Rafah crossing costs about $25,00 to $5,000 per person, and as a family of 9, the amount we have to pay just to get to Egypt seems impossible to bear.

So, this is how the money will be spent:

* Paying about $5,000 for each member of my family of 9 to cross the Rafah crossing and safely reach Egypt

* About $5,000 covers the GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction)

* The rest of the money will be for housing, food, etc. for a period of time in Egypt

Asking for your help is the only way to save my family’s life and future, and your help may become our hope when hope is far from us under these circumstances, every dollar you can help with may save a life, bring hope to a tired heart and save a young future.

Please don't read this as a tragedy, I am here to ask you to prevent further tragedy and help us start our lives over. I am here to ask for your help not your sympathy, to ask you to take action either by donating or by sharing this with everyone you know who can help, please read this with your heart and take action as if it were your family, your mother and your siblings who are living in these circumstances.

Literally every time I check the news, something horrible has happened at Nuseirat, which is suffering from non-stop attacks. I'm really worried for Mahmoud's family (@mahmoudfamily1), who are stuck in Nuseirat right now. His campaign barely has any donations and support, and these funds are the lifeline for his 17 family members, including 10 children and a 2-year-old baby!

Nuseirat Camp has been bombed again, and Israeli tanks are advancing close to the camp!! I fear what the tanks will do to the people at Nuseirat. The Israeli military is now attacking Nuseirat Camp on an hourly basis, and what we see on the news is a mere fraction of the devastation being dealt to Nuseirat. Mahmoud also told me that the drones have been shooting at people non-stop. And with all the bombings, houses are collapsing with people still inside them, and many people are trapped and buried under the rubble.

I've been writing a lot of posts (1, 2, 3) about Nuseirat and Mahmoud's campaign recently because I'm really, really worried. Mahmoud has only raised $1,217 CAD out of $80,000 goal, last donation was more than 24 hours ago, and more often than not he does not even get one donation a day. How do I make you care? He has already lost relatives, including a one-month-old baby, to this genocide. His family has been injured. Can we please show them more support?

They are at Deir el-Balah right now, where a horrible massacre took place yesterday in which people were literally burned alive! The IOF dropped incendiary bombs on tents housing displaced people inside Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital! They set displaced families on fire! 20 to 30 tents housing displaced families were completely destroyed by the fire!

Other than the constant danger, Mohammed and his family also dont have enough money to buy basic necessities. They have to borrow money to buy anything, that's how short on funds they are! And food is very expensive in Gaza right now! Mohammed himself is only 19 and he has 5 siblings, the youngest is only 6! These funds are literally a lifeline for them!

Ahmed is six years old; he and his family are currently fighting to survive the genocide in Ghazzah, and have been for over a year now.

Much of Ahmed's family is disabled; his father is diabetic, his brother Abdullah is autistic, his brother Fathi is blind. On top of that, many of them have been injured by the bombs and shrapnel, like Mohammed, who is suffering from an injured leg.

They were displaced from their home by an evacuation order, and have since taken shelter in a UN school in Deir Al-Balah.

Life is incredibly difficult; they are surrounded by disease and death. The water that's available is contaminated, and food is scarce. Ahmed and his siblings have suffered malnutrition due to how little there is to go around. Ahmed's father lost his shop and no longer has a source of income as a result, making securing resources even more difficult than it would be anyways.

This description, in all honestly, doesn't do justice to just how horrific their situation is. Please do not grow numb to words like "contamination", "disease", "malnutrition", and "genocide". These are more than words on a screen; these are real things being suffered by Ahmed and his family as well as millions of others in Ghazzah.

In order to help them to evacuate and rebuild their lives, they need to raise €50,000. So far, they've only raised €3,847 with their last donation being 17 hours ago.

My heart breaks for my family. How many times must their hands burn just to reach a loaf of bread? And behind each loaf lies the harsh reality: flour infested with worms and insects, expired and damp from poor storage and transport. Yet they have no other choice they’ve already been forced to eat animal feed and wild grass.

Do you know the cost of this single sack of flour? Or how many children risk their lives gathering firewood from the rubble of destroyed homes under constant threat of bombing? Aboudi, for example, should be living his childhood in peace. Instead, he’s the one tasked with collecting wood for cooking.

Can you imagine how many children, how many people, wait eagerly for that single piece of bread, only to share it among so many? How much longer will this suffering and humiliation continue this war of starvation? Do you know how many children have died hungry in this genocide?

Silent solidarity will not save the children of Palestine. We must act and make a difference. Thanks to your support, we have raised enough to secure the escape of three of my family members from Gaza.

Imagine that you live in a small space made of tarpaulin that does not protect against the harsh cold in winter, nor does it protect against weather elements. Every day brings with it the risk of temperatures dropping, and rainwater could flood our small space.
