Dating Johnny Cade Headcanons !! 🚬

Johnny is more reserved with others, including you to a degree. He lets you do most of the talking and allows you to update him on what’s new in your life. I honestly feel like he would be such a good listener - nodding his head along and making gentle movements somewhere along your body. He would either graze his fingertips along your forearm, run his hands through the tips of your hair, and make little taps against your arm or leg. He wouldn’t say much in response, but his presence alone was enough to bring you comfort.

‼️ This is sort of a sad one! ‼️ Johnny doesn’t get much love back home; his parents always arguing or abusing him whether it be physical or verbal. He’s most definitely NOT a softie and has developed thick skin because of his home life, however, he tries his absolute hardest to create the opposite environment for you. The last thing he would ever want is to become like his parents - mistreating the ones he’s supposed to love. He’ll muster up the most gentle energy he can give you.

Being his girlfriend means Johnny has a two in one deal - a best friend and a lover. He’ll engage in his usual activities like he would with the gang, while incorporating hints of a more romantic feel to them just for you. Johnny will try to take you around town to relax and have a cigarette while letting your hand cling onto his arm, guiding you down the sidewalk.
