Un poderoso hechicero deja un elemento misterioso y oculto en un lugar impregnado por la magia con el objetivo de exterminar a la humanidad. Solo un niño huérfano, que comienza a lidiar con esa fuerza mística, será capaz de intentar ponerle un freno antes de que sea demasiado tarde.

No estamos hablando del argumento de “Harry Potter y la cámara secreta“ sino de otra película basada en un libro homónimo de John Bellairs. Lewis, el pequeño protagonista (Owen Vaccaro) va a vivir a la mansión junto a su tío Jonathan Barnavelt (Jack Black) y a su amiga Florence (Cate Blanchett) tras perder a sus padres de forma tan repentina como el cambio de vida que está a punto de afrontar. El cual incluye, por supuesto, nuevo barrio, nueva escuela, nuevo compañeros y nuevos intentos por encajar, aunque eso signifique buscar la aceptación y compañía de popular Tarby Corrigan (Sunny Suljic).

“La casa con un reloj en sus paredes”, que transcurre en los años cincuenta del Siglo XX, está dirigida por Eli Roth, un realizador cuyo trabajo suele especializarse en películas de terror de tono sangriento.

#BYOBthon Update! I've now read 10 books! 😄🎉📚❤ . . . . I finally finished The House With a Clock in Its Walls by John Bellairs at about 10:30p on October 7th. MUCH later than I hoped, but it turned out to not be too scary. I was more nervous yesterday than today. I really enjoyed this story. I'll have to see about reading the other Lewis Barnavelt Mysteries. 😊⭐⭐⭐⭐❤ . . . . Then after a short break and over the next half hour, I read all three Zombelina books! I finished Zombelina (5⭐) at 10:45p (started it at about 10:35p); Zombelina: School Days (4⭐) at 10:55p; and Zombelina Dances the Nutcracker (4⭐) at 11:05p. Five stars to the first and four for the other two. 😊❤ . . . . Photo One above shares The House With a Clock in Its Walls by John Bellairs. 😍❤ . . . . Werbung gemäß Paragraph 2 Nr 5 TMG. Hallo ihr Lieben 💕 Ganz schön warm heute, oder? 😃😁 "Das Haus der geheimnisvollen Uhren" von John Bellairs habe ich vom Bloggerportal erhalten. Ich habe das Buch entdeckt (es ist eine Neuauflage) und mir den Trailer zum Film angeschaut und dieser war echt klasse! Leider konnte mich dass Buch nicht überzeugen. Ich fand es langweilig und hölzern geschrieben. Aber weil gelegentlich etwas interessantes geschehen ist, habe ich 3 Sterne vergeben. Lewis zieht zu seinem Onkel und stellt schon schnell fest, dass etwas sehr seltsames in diesem Haus vorgeht. In den Wänden befinden sich tickende Uhren und als Lewis eines Nachts etwas versucht ... Oh je. Es klang toll, aber hat mich nicht so ganz erreicht.
