It always been dumb to me that the "good" terminators never kill any innocent people. The T800 from the first movie puts its fist through a dude just for not immediately handing over his clothes and blows away the gun shop owner because it was slightly more efficient than paying. Meanwhile Uncle Bob from T2 despite being a fresh off the assembly line factory settings terminator of the exact same make and model conveniently doesn't deem lethal force necessary right up until here when John is there to stop it.

Throughout the whole franchise, despite by design having exactly the same total disregard for human life as the "evil" terminators somehow the ones you're supposed to root for keep failing to kill innocents. I don't get it, it's not like you could even blame them/hold them accountable for the morality of their actions. They literally lack a conscience until a human teaches it to them.

I think “you just hate women” is a really poor criticism when I say I dislike dark fate. Considering Sarah Connor is right there and has been the protagonist of the franchise for 38 years. Say What you will about John, I love the kid to death (when no played by Christian bale or whoever the hell was in the third movie) but he was never really the franchise protagonist.

Sarah has been the central point since the very beginning. A person of admiration and awe and it really pisses me off when Dark fate tries to pull the “oh you just give birth to him it’s so sexist” shit. When Kyle first meets here he’s in absolute awe because of her strategy, leadership and all around badassery. She’s a legend just as much as her son is.

It’s also interesting how despite the “twist” she’s still the mother of the resistance. She still ends up training the head of the resistance the same way she would have her son, a bit more grizzled and heartbroken sure but she does— yet the movie still does everything it possibly can to crap on her for it and I just—

Look I’m not saying you have to hate it. I’m not saying it’s the worst movie ever. I’m just saying that there’s a lot of stuff that just rubs me the wrong way that I cannot get behind. (Mainly their new main character I just- cannot like Grace if it would save my life) my point is I don’t like getting piled on like I’m just being mean for no reason/not giving consistently valid criticism of the movie. Do you know how much T1 and T2 get dog slammed by people who didn’t understand or dig into things as much as a lot of us have? I get it. Just hear me out- if you think different that’s fine but don’t act like I’m just rude? We’re all passionate about these films, some of us are attached to the originals, others came in at far off sequels etc etc

Recently I rewatched Terminator with a friend and got into it again. So I went looking for some of my old work and found this… damn I really miss that kid who tried to paint light and shadow sm.😂

6 years ago I watched Terminator for the first time. I really loved it and wanted to draw a lot of fanart but I couldn't( These were two of the best pictures I could draw at the time) because human's face(especially Arnold) and muscles(or even basic anatomy) is very difficult to draw for me. So I put my hope in myself in the future to be able to draw it.😂

Nowadays, I think I can draw a little better. But still can't do basic anatomy like before lol.🧍
