Oh wanted to write down my Sandman/DC modern au stuff. Mostly the main like ship ideas and who I'm giving the children to.

First of we have Desire. Personally playing on them and Despair being identical ish (like they have little difference especially because I'm evil and some of my main ideas for this involves putting Despair) my main thoughts for their love interest is The Corinthian but I may change that to an OC because I don't want to be disrespectful and I'm not sure if that would be. With both of them having Cat King as their biological child. And ocs being biological down the line bc I think Thomas deserves to be a big brother

Next we have Dream. He has two main love are Calliope and Hob. Mostly Dreamling. This means he gets Orpheus and later Robyn. They also adopt Charles and later my twin oc for Charles. I've also toyed with another biological kid for Dream but idk I don't wanna add to many ocs.

Also considering Delirium single moming Niko because I think it would be cute

And, the part that makes it none Sandman, is having Larry Trainor and maybe John being Edwin's dads.

I have no solid plans for Crystal or Monty I know Im controversially not making Esther Montys mom (their cousins) but that's it.

John's pov

Chapter one 

The plane crashed. The plane crashed. John had checked it 8 times but still it wasn't enough. Larry could've died. Larry should've died. The question is why didn't he? What was the blue thing keeping Larry alive? These questions weighed heavily on John's mind as he worked and waited for the clock to strike 4. Then he'd drive down to the hospital and talk to Larry for as long as he could.  Unfortunately he always caught the tail end of the conversations with Larry's mother. Who looked at him with pure scorn and sometimes a little confused. He knew that she knew that  he and Larry were together. But she could never tell anyone or else everyone would know she raised a gay son. John sighed as he walked into the call room, putting his hands in his pocket. 

Mrs. Trainor was praying with Larry, " Amen", she mumbled, turning her head to look at John. " Hello, John, you haven't been at church these past two Sundays"

John shook his head, " I've been babysitting the boys so that Sheryl can go to church and go to lunch afterwards with her friends without having to worry about everything. No I believe your turn with the phone is almost up ", john said softly,

Mrs. Tranoir smiled but it didn't reach her eyes, " bye, sweetheart, I love you ", she said into the phone

Bye ,sweetheart, I love you. What John would give to say those words Larry into that little phone. 

Mrs. Trainor must've noticed John's face change. She looked almost apologetic as she bumped into him. John speed walked into the phone.

" Hey, Larry, you dead yet?", John asked into the phone.

The tension in his shoulder loosened the second he heard Larry laugh.

" No. Why do you want to be?", Larry asked 

" Yeah, actually do you know how much of a raise I'd get. Like at least ten percent. I could vacation someplace better like Ohio", he said, laughing a little. 

" Well I'll take that into consideration next time I crash my plane", Larry said, with a slightly louder snicker then a wince.

" Lare, you ok?", John asked.

" I'm fine. So how are the boys?", Larry asked to change the question.

" The boys are fine. Gary's enjoying having a puppy. And Paul got in trouble at school for kissing a girl behind the bleachers", John said.

Larry sighed, the relief palpable. 

" Anyway you get the paintings of the garden?", John asked. 

For some reason Larry wasn't allowed to have any photo, but he still needed to check on his garden. So John had to paint every individual plant perfectly and as a retired artist he did a pretty good job. It was actually how they met, Larry needed a painting of his garden and so he contacted John. They spent the day together and a year later, John was assigned to work under the hotshot pilot Larry Tranoir. sorry Captain Larry Tranoir. It was the most awkward day of his life. 

" Yeah you missed one thing though, blue orchids have a slight orange hue not yellow", Larry said, his voice bringing John to reality.

" Oh I'm sorry", John said dripping with sarcasm.

" Listen, I'm basically in a cell so the you can do is paint me proper orchids", Larry said, holding back laughter. 

" Do you know how hard orchids are to draw? I'm not fixing it", John shot back.

And they talked like that for a while. And everything for a second felt ok. Until the beep came to end the conversation, "Bye, pal", John muttered into the phone, leaving before Larry got a chance to say bye back.

'“Ripley” VFX supervisor John Bowers urged the television community to support VFX unionization Sunday on stage at L.A.’s Peacock Theater, as he and his team accepted an Emmy for the Netflix miniseries.

He asserted that Hollywood is heavily unionized but there is still no broad union for visual effects artists, who don’t have standard protections in areas from wages and working conditions to health care.

How to achieve these protections has long been a dilemma in the community. In 2023, the first groups such as the in-house VFX workers at Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures, began to vote to unionize under IATSE.

“Progress is happening, and people are working behind the scenes, and I’m cheering them on, and I wanted everyone else in the room to support that as well,” Bowers continued backstage. “I actually spoke to one of the organizers from IATSE on Friday. They are continuing to work behind the scenes to bring VFX workers under the same roof, under the same umbrella, as are many other categories awarded here tonight.”

He said that “Ripley,” which won the category for VFX in a single episode, involved the work of 300 artists working across six countries on four continents, which isn’t unusual.

“Ripley” VFX producer Maricel Pagulayan added that this is a “new moment in time where the industry is looking for new ways to use visual effects with AI, machine learning, all of these things, but fundamentally, it’s really the artist … You really have to acknowledge all the people, many people, below the line.”'
