( sophia bush . cis female . she / her . ) that’s vivienne george - alden walking in to the lookout - you know , the thirty - eight year old veterinarian known for the short-lived and ill-fated advice column she ran when she was in college ? having lived here for two weeks ( previously thirty - one years ) , their neighbors know them to be percipient & convival , but their brittle & obstinate tendencies shine through when there are no buses in to the city . ——— @30extra .
𝐨𝐨𝐜.
i tried making this short, i really did, but... whoops. anyways, hi, i’m red ! twenty4, she / her, eastern timezone, and i’m so grateful for this group because? i can’t write young, hip, twenty-something muses any longer? this is my lil’ ghostin’ girl, viv, back in town for all kinds of drama and shenanigans. i can’t wait to start writing with all of you. x
𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨.
full name: vivienne daphne george - alden.
age & birthdate: 38 , april 29th, 1984.
zodiac: taurus sun, aries moon, sagittarius rising her whole chart is a disaster.
gender & pronouns: cis female, she / her / hers.
orientation: bisexual biromantic.
relationship status: it’s real complicated.
𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭.
trigger warnings : mentions of teenage pregnancy, seizure, cancer, death, miscarriage .
vivienne was born in new orleans to a woman named julia taylor, a seventeen year old in high school who believed the promises of a boy who vanished shortly after learning of the pregnancy. scared, barely staying afloat, and not ready for a child, julia made the choice to give her daughter up for adoption. she did so unaware of the couple that would be taking her daughter and ensuring that they had no way to contact her — she wanted a second chance at her life, and after giving birth, vivienne made her way into the arms of john and tallulah george, a couple who were suffering infertility issues as they expanded their family, and thankful for the blessing someone else had bestowed upon them in the form of their daughter.
vivienne grew up comfortably in lakeview with her parents, two older brothers ( and later a little sister, the “ rainbow ” baby to her parents ) and the family dog, norman. tallulah taught fifth grade at the local elementary school, and john worked a corporate job in new orleans. they were your quintessential all - american family, the kind you’d see attending every friday night football game decked out in the home team’s gear because a neighbor’s kid or a friend of someone’s child was out on the field, in the stands, on the sidelines — they enjoyed being in the presence of others, supporting and uplifting, getting out of the house and experiencing their little corner of the world to its fullest.
the third in line of the george kids, viv was set to make her own way — sharp as a whip, talented on the soccer field, and a bubbly personality to boot, it wasn’t hard for friends to be made, boys to try to catch the attention of, her own path taking a shape seen dozens of times before.
and then, without fanfare or warning of any kind, the road seemingly fell off a cliff : one random wednesday night, tallulah experienced a seizure right before she went to bed, panicking the entire family. vivienne’s response was to lock her door from the ensuing chaos outside in the hallway as 911 was called and paramedics arrived. it shook the entire family, for someone who seemed a perfect photo of health as tallulah to fall into a coma after experiencing yet another seizure in the hospital, experiencing kidney failure as caused by a silent spread of multiple myeloma. vivienne missed the first three weeks of her junior year of high school sleeping in hospital chairs, waiting for her mother to pass away at any given moment per the doctor’s bleak prognosis. miracles seemed to be on their side, as tallulah woke up and, despite the newfound knowledge of her kidney failure and a cancer that promised to take her within the year, was in good spirits. they would have another few years together before she passed away.
vivienne had known keith her entire life, it seemed, and although no one claimed it would be a surprise should they end up together, it came out of nowhere for viv. one day, he was there, a thorn in her side from all the pestering from her parents, and the next, he just was. he was her rock throughout the ordeal with her mother, and she was next to him every step of the way when his career - ending injury kept him from the nfl. married young — vivienne didn’t want to waste the time she knew they weren’t promised, and wanted her mother to be able to attend the wedding — and vivienne making plans to use her degree in biology to teach high school, they were nestling in to eventually start a family.
vivienne’s spark grew dull as the next few years of her life droned by, the flame of her marriage to keith beginning to dim as well. the positive pregnancy test seemed to be a good omen, finally, a nod from her late mother that she was where she was meant to be. it was only a few weeks in when, one afternoon at work, the pain in her abdomen began and blood was present when she was finally able to make it to the bathroom. she took an emergency half-day and drove herself to the doctor, where they confirmed she had suffered a miscarriage. the news devastated vivienne, hollowing her out and leaving her awake that night while keith slept next to her with nothing but her thoughts to aggravate her further. she stared at the ceiling fan, tears in her eyes, and felt something in her break. she was done. she had to be. if this was life, she could no longer live like this.
against better judgment and acting fully on impulse, vivienne quit her job the following day, booked a one-way plane ticket to a city she’d always wanted to visit but never had, and, after keith had gone to bed, called a car to take her to msy with nothing but a letter left on their kitchen table profusely apologizing. guilt gnawed at her for not telling him in person, not asking him to go with her, but she needed to find herself again — who was vivienne, without the trauma and complacency and grief and the role she had slipped into so easily that it had consumed her entire being?
viv found herself in seattle, then new york, then chicago, and then portland. she went back to school and got a doctorate in veterinary medicine; she went to therapy and wrote close to 100 letters to keith that she’d never send ( but she would send one — petition for divorce ), she danced on bar tops and stopped calling her siblings, she realized that the world was bigger than her small town and that she was inconsequentially small, so small that the universe and her demons began overlooking her. she came to terms with herself in her seven years away and felt like she was more than just a copied and pasted sentiment someone had had about her once. she felt real, the kind of real she’d only felt in her adolescence prior to her mother’s health left-field turn.
but all good things must come to an end : she’s back in lakeview, a father to visit now that he’s found a companion he’d like her to Officially Meet, and a husband that she has to have a lifetime’s worth of conversations. or not. i’m taking creative liberties here, saying that the the former vet in town has stepped down for retirement, and thanks to those good ol’ family connections, vivienne was able to slip ‘n slide right into the position. yeehaw, everyone !
𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬.
roommate — viv doesn’t necessarily feel comfortable returning to her home that she once shared with her estranged husband, nor does she have any preconceived notions she’d be welcome there, so it’d be nice for her to have a roomie as she gets re - adjusted.
former coworkers / friends — viv has lived in lakeview her whole life, plus taught biology on the high school level before she just... up and quit, so gimme people who have speculated in the teacher’s lounge about her houdini act, people she fell out of touch with after disappearing who are hurt by what she did, high school acquaintances that are like “ oh, so you’re back now ” ; it’s a small town, so everyone best be up in her business !
best friend — this is the one person that vivienne talked to while she was away. inseparable. will call her on her shit as they get wine drunk, but the well-needed voice of reason in vivienne’s life.

The Question Of Psalm 104
Written by Alden Bacuzmo
“This story begins in ancient Egypt with Amenhotep IV. (l350-1334 BC). He has been identified as uniquely the first "monotheist" worshipping his single god "Aten", the Sun. Aten, similar to the ancient Egyptian god "Ra", was represented by the sun-disk, was the creator of all life, and was a god of goodness and divine benevolence. Amenhotep was so sincere that he changed his name to Akenaten [also spelled Iknaten].
In each of the three divisions of the Egyptian empire Egypt, Kush, and Syria, he built a temple consecrated to Aten. He took up residence in a city he had built called Akhetaten, known today as the Tell el-Armarna in the southeastern part of Egypt. Aten represented a universal power that paralleled the Pharaoh's growing power over the known world. Akenaten actually paid individuals to proselytize his cult of Aten. However, the faith never became popular.
During Akenaten's reign, Egypt's power significantly declined. When Akenaten died, his temples were destroyed. Among the few remains of his cult were hymns found written in the tombs of the proselytes at Amarna. The longest of these hymns to Aten is noted to be similar to the Psalm 104, written for the Bible hundreds of years later. There are a few possibilities for how this might have come about. It is fairly certain that, even previous to the time of Moses, fleeing slaves in groups of various sizes, had wondered into the Sinai Peninsula. As the emigrants walked, they sang to keep up their spirits. One of the songs they sang may have been Akenaten's hymn to the Sun. Oral tradition could have perpetuated the elements of his hymn for 600 years. For those who are unconvinced about the similarity of these two documents, Jacob's descent into Egypt, described in the Bible, recalls the Hyksos dynasties, where the Iron age Canaanites conquered Egypt and ruled for several generations as Pharaohs. When the descendants of the original rulers regrouped and repelled the Hyksos, both the conquerors and the large Semitic population that had entered as migrant workers before and during the foreign dynasty were either driven out or placed in bondage. This was the beginning of the 400 years of slavery. Through those who were driven out, Hymns to the Sun were introduced into Canaan. Probably due to this, worship of the Sun is forbidden in the Bible.
Another possibility stems from the evidence of Persian names in residence at Amarna. These were literate people who may have transcribed Akenaten's poems. This would have placed the essence of this poem in Babylon, a world center for literature, by 600BC when the Jews were in exile, and the early Hebrew bible was assembled. Dr. H. Brugsch collected quite a few epithets and quotes from Egyptian scripture around fifty years ago and published them in his work, 'Religion and Mythology'. Much of Psalm 104 is vaguely similar to Egyptian Hymns, such as the following hymn to Ra from the Papyrus of Hu-nefer:
O thou who art crowned king amongst the gods...
[Here is expressed the polytheistic point of view]
Thou art the lord of heaven, Thou art the lord of the earth; Thou art the creator of those who dwell in the heights, and Those who dwell in the depths. Thou art the One God who came into being at the beginning of time.
[monotheism was beginning throughout the world with the idea of the "God of Gods", and is consistent with the concept of G-d in the Pentateuch]
Thou didst create the earth, Thou dist fashion the man, Thou didst make the watery abyss of the sky... Thou dost travel across the sky with thy heart swelling in joy; The great deep of heaven is content thereat..."
"the watery abyss of the sky" is similar to the Sumerian creation story, of 1500 years previous, where gods parted the water to create the world with a third god [see History begins at Sumer, by Noah Kramer]. This idea is repeated in Genesis with the actions of one God. The idea of water being above and below solves the enigma of where rain comes from. The Veda, Hindu scripture, considered this Sumerian story but concluded: "who cares" and left the process of creation unanswered.
Attributing the Lord with the characteristics of the sun. The Psalm 104 starts out attributing the Lord with the characteristics of the Sun. This is found nowhere else in the Scriptures.
[2. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment; Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain. 3. Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters. Who maketh the clouds his chariot; Who walketh on the wings of the wind; Who maketh winds his messengers; Flames of fire his ministers.]
A search for references in the Bible to the sun is within our grasp. You may skim over the following scripture of the types of references to the Sun:
* The sun as a symbol of permanency and endurance: Psalms 72:5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. Psalms 72:17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and [men] shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. Psalms 89:36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
* The Sun must not become an object of worship: Deuteronomy 4:19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has apportioned to [even] all the host of heaven. Ezekiel 8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, [were] about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. 8:17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here?
* The sun was darkened at the time of Jesus' crucifixion, and will be darkened again at the time of his return to judge the world: Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. Mark 13:24 (But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,) Mark 13:25 (And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.) Mark 13:26 (And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.) Mark 13:27 (And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.)
* Sunlight as splendor: "Then adorn yourself with majesty and splendor, And array yourself with glory and beauty." [Job 40:10] "Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear." [Matthew 13:43]
* Speaking of Jesus when He was with Moses and Elijah in the mount with His disciples: "And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light." [Matthew 17:2]
* Paul in talking about what he saw on the road to Damascus, and learned that He was seeing Jesus at the right hand of the 'Majesty' of God: "...at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me." [Acts 26:13]
* In describing the One like the Son of Man, John in Revelation says this: "He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and his countenance was like the sun shining in its strength." [this is similar to a typical Egyptian sun poem] [Revelation 1:16] "And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof." [Revelation 21:23] "And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever." [Revelation 22:5]
Only in Psalm 104 could the chosen description of the Lord be construed as that of the sun..
The eight points of comparison: Psalm 104 and the Hymn to Aten The following text in [parenthesis] is from Psalm 104 while the remainder is quoted translation by J.H.Breasted, from Cambridge Ancient History, Vol. II, Chapters 5 & 6.. and "The Rock Tombs of Tell el Armarna", Archeological Survey, Egyptian Exploration Society (6vol, 1903) N. de G. Davis.
The tradition of Egyptian, Hindu, and Hebrew cultures starts the day at sunset. Today the day normally starts at sunrise.
Akenhaten's Hymn to the Sun When thou settest in the western horizon of the sky, [1st comparison, verse 20] The earth is in darkness like the dead. They sleep in their chambers Their heads are wrapped up. Their nostrils are stopped And none see the other. While all their things are stolen Which are under their heads And they know it not Every Lion cometh forth from his den [2nd comparison, verse 21] All Serpents they sting Darkness The world is in silence. He that made them resteth in his horizon.
[22. The Sun riseth, they get them away, and lay them down in their dens.] [23. Man goeth forth unto his work And to his labor until the evening.]
Bright is the earth when thou riseth in the horizon. [3rd comparison, verse 22] When thou shinest as Aten by day Thou drivest away the darkness. When thou sendest forth thy rays The two lands (Egypt) are in daily festivity. Awake and standing upon their feet When thou has raised them up. Their limbs bathed they take their clothing Their arms uplifted in adoration to thy dawning Then in all the world they do their work.. [4th comparison, verse 23] All cattle rest upon their pasturage The trees and the plants flourish
[12. By them the birds of the heavens have their habitation. They sing among the branches.]
The birds flutter in their marshes, [5th comparison, verse 12] Their wings uplifted in adoration to thee. All sheep dance on their feet. All winged things fly, They live when thou hast shone upon them.
[25. Yonder is the sea great and wide. Wherein are things creeping innumerable. Both small and great beasts.] [26. There go the ships.]
The barges sail upstream and downstream alike. [6th comparison, verse 26] Every highway is open because thou dawnest. The fish in the river leap before thee. Thy rays are in the midst of the great green sea. Creator of the germ in woman Maker of the seed in man Giving life to the son in the body of his mother Soothing him that he may not weep. Nurse (even) in the womb.
[29. Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled. Thou takest away their breath and they die. And return to their dust.]
Giver of breath to animals, every one that he maketh When he cometh forth from the womb [7th comparison, verse 29] On the day of their birth Thou openest his mouth in speech
[27. These wait all for thee. That thou may give them food in due season.]
Thou suppliest his necessities. [8th comparison, verse 27] When the fledgling in the egg chirps in the shell Thou givest him breath there-in to preserve him alive. When thou hast brought him together to (the point of) bursting it in the egg To chirp with all his might, He goeth about on his two feet When he hath come forth therefrom.
How manifold are thy works, They are hidden from before (us) O Sole God, whose powers no other possesseth. Thou didst create the earth according to thy heart While thou wast alone Man, all cattle, large and small All that are upon the earth That go about on their feet (All) That are on high That fly with their wings The foreign countries, Syria and Kush, The land of Egypt Thou settest every man into his place Thou suppliest their necessities Everyone has his possessions And his days are reckoned The tongues are divers in speech Their forms likewise and their skins are distinguished (For) thou makest different the strangers.
There is no doubt that the evolution of ideas throughout the history of human endeavors is a combination of past knowledge and original thinking. However, as short as sixty years ago, there is little doubt that the archaeologists who discovered the similarities in ancient texts were astounded since they had been raised to believe in the Bible as the "only word of God". The importance that The Measure of Truth assigns to this study is not to denigrate any of these early beliefs, but to examine why the Biblical scripture has lasted to be arguably the most read and influential literature in the history of mankind.” - Alden Bacuzmo

For the writing ask game, 3 and 16?
Thanks so much for sending these! Sorry the post got kind of long, I wanted to answer for all of them.
3: which 3+ songs would make up a playlist for the novel?
La Mer: the pirates of the Caribbean theme, Hit and Run by LOLO, Life Will Change from Persona 5. (Also, here’s a playlist! It’s specifically for Joan, but includes a lot of overall vibes.)
Rebel Blue: Favorite Color Is Blue by Robert DeLong, Bolt in the Blue by LPX, and You by Greta Isaac (that’s the villain song. The rest I did choose partially because they have blue in the title don’t @ me...)
Darkhouses: The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot inspired the whole setting and story. Other songs would be What the Water Gave Me by Florence + The Machine and Bones in the Ocean by The Longest Johns.
I don’t have much music for The Matron and the Martyr yet! For now I’d say It Will Come Back by Hozier, but I can’t think of what else. I’ll add to this later today after I do some playlist planning!
16: do any characters have distinctive birthmarks/scars?
La Mer: Alden has a port birthmark covering the lower half of his face. He usually wears a veil over it so he can’t be as quickly and easily identified by enemies. Joan is very vain of her complexion, so even though she fights a lot she’s very careful to minimize scarring.
Rebel Blue: Periwinkle has a scar through his lower lip, one through an eyebrow, and a large abrasion scar under their chin and around their throat. Her arms are also pretty scarred up, but she hides most of it with makeup or specially made sleeves that act and look like skin. Jet is mostly covered in scarring due to an explosion she was caught in as a child. She wears a full black bodysuit nearly all the time. Cadet has scarring around the stump of her arm.
Darkhouses: Leo has slight vitiligo patterns around his eyes, though his skin is light brown already so it’s a little hard to see. Frances has a scar across one cheek from an ill-advised fight near a shipwreck— she fell and some of the metal from the ship’s skeleton cut her open.
Tm+tm: Lenora doesn’t seem to scar. Or maybe she just has REALLY nice skin. Antigone has a bullet wound scar on her thigh that she doesn’t show anyone. Joey’s hands are all scratched up mostly from him being stupid and playing with sharp objects.

More books should have bibliographies written this way
An Opinionated, Annoted Bibliography from The Alden Amos Big Book of Handspinning. This is an ASTOUNDINGLY comprehensive book, easily readable with a healthy dose of snark throughout. Choice opinions and annotations on various entries in the bibliography:
Common fare in 1910, but stark amazement for today’s custom-fitted, computer-driven, cellular dweeb.
Accept the facts as such, but take along some salt for the opinions.
This is boring.
Working instructions, but look out for the metric jitters.
Reads like a docent’s lesson plan. You know, the one they give to Wednesday afternoon groups touring the Richpigge Estate.
Good illustrations (not just because I’m in some of them, ahem) and some off-beat material.
Mr. Fannin uses four words where one is enough: you will become aware of that as you read this.
Book is too heavy, sharp, and fragile to read in bed.
If you keep reading matter in the john (a lot of spinners do), be careful with this one. Guaranteed to put your buns to sleep.
Material is dated, but then so are spinning wheels, right?
The editor is a well-known spinner, weaver, publisher, and spaghetti cook who allows itinerant authors to repair old trucks and vans right there in her driveway.
Gets downright bullmoose-ish toward the end.
Blows your mind, along with a $100-dollar bill.
A product of the editorial trash can. Trouble is, it has some textual merit.
A disappointment. Lots of information here, sort of.
Material is parochial: Colonials must suffer.
Gives you an idea of where some of the old fogeys were coming from.
Written back when they were not afraid to tell you to hit things with a hammer, for fear of liability lawsuits.
If you can disregard the air of condescension, this is fun to read.
And finally, the author’s comment on HIS OWN previous book:
Short and pompous.
#bookblr#maybe?#spinning#anyway this book is a delight and so valuable and i highly recomment it#but it was a gift to me so i hate to think what the price tag is

Colorado investor group antes $10 million toward community effort to buy The Denver Post
A group of Pikes Peak-area investors say they have gathered $10 million in pledges to potentially purchase The Denver Post and are urging others across the state to join them.
“If the terms are right, we can contribute at least $10 million to the purchase. We are in the process of hiring an investment banking firm to advise us,” said John Weiss, chair of Together for Colorado Springs and owner of the Colorado Publishing House.
The group, known as the Resurrect the Denver Post Exploratory Committee, is reaching out to other Colorado investors following recent staff reductions in the paper’s newsroom. The cuts will leave approximately 70 journalists to cover a metro area of 2.8 million people and a state with 5.6 million.
Although The Post isn’t the group’s hometown paper, Weiss said its members realize the importance of a statewide daily centered in Denver. They believe that The Post would require millions more in working capital to restore its former depth of local coverage.
“For me, the real question is not how much The Post will cost, but how much it will cost to turn it around and bring it back,” Weiss said. “The Post needs TLC not only in editorial but in all departments — circulation, marketing, sales.”
Colorado Publishing House publishes seven newsweeklies plus a dozen specialty publications and digital offerings, including the Colorado Springs Independent and the Colorado Springs Business Journal. The Independent counts about 36,000 subscribers.
The exploratory committee includes environmental attorney Perry Sanders and Florida attorney John Goede, who co-own the Antlers and Mining Exchange hotels in Colorado Springs.
Other members include Alan Gottlieb, former Post reporter and co-founder of Chalkbeat, a nonprofit digital news organization covering education; former state insurance commissioner and Manitou Springs Mayor Marcy Morrison; entrepreneur and retired U.S. Air Force Col. Jim Stewart and Chuck Murphy, president of Murphy Constructors, who also was a member of the Colorado Economic Development Commission.
New York hedge fund Alden Global Capital acquired MediaNews Group, the owner of The Denver Post, in early 2011 after buying up private shares from creditors. Staff levels in the Denver newsroom under Alden’s ownership have fallen significantly, and the latest reduction sparked an editorial and a package of columns in The Post’s Perspectives section on Sunday that critiqued Alden and pushed for a sale of the paper.
Alden Global’s managers have cited the sharp drop in advertising revenues that has plagued the larger newspaper industry as driving the cuts. The Post is not alone among regional newspapers in making repeated staff reductions in recent years. But media critics such as Ken Doctor argue the hedge fund is cutting more sharply than other owners..
“The good news is that there are a lot of conversations happening at the moment among a bunch of different folks who are concerned about keeping a scaled newsroom going in Colorado,” said JB Holston, dean of Daniel F. Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science at Denver University.
“There is a shared concern that Alden won’t do the right thing ever and that the community needs to step up,” Holston said. “They seem to have no sense on how to optimize or protect the value of an asset.”
One model that Denver-based philanthropic strategist Bruce DeBoskey, who writes a syndicated column for The Post, is researching is the establishment of a community foundation, similar to one used to preserve the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.
Alden Global and another hedge fund, Angelo Gordon & Co., sold the publishing group at a loss in 2012 for $55 million to a group of wealthy Philadelphia residents from across the political spectrum. They and other donors created an endowment to oversee the paper, which has since hired new staff and boosted coverage.
Denver billionaire Philip Anschutz, who owns the Colorado Springs Gazette, has reportedly offered to buy The Post in the past but was rebuffed.
Weiss said his group is looking at all options, including a for-profit model and a nonprofit one, as well as launching a rival paper, although he emphasized he would prefer to avoid a newspaper war. They also want to ensure that any future owner of The Post supports the inclusion of all perspectives in its coverage and will not operate with an ideological bent.
“The Denver Post is the largest news organization in the state. There would be a huge vacuum if the Post evaporated,” he said.

There's...
[Fuente]
