kotaro torture because in vivid bad squad world link 2 alternate timeline vivids disband after the cord pulling stunt kotaro did to try and impress akito! and as you may remember from the main story, akito took credit for what kotaro did because kotaro was influenced by his words! and no one outside of toya's close friends know about his music trauma so it'd be perfectly reasonable for people to assume that vivids disbandment and BAD DOGS disbandment were related incidents! and given kotaro's impressionability and fragile ego he'd obviously take it all very hard and blame himself regardless of just how much blame he is actually due!

pretty hilarious that besides the existence of SEKAI and the virtual singers influence that kotaro's dedication to akito and subsequent soft heartedness and remorse are actually essential to the formation and existence of vivid bad squad and by hilarious i mean utterly soul crushing when considered alongside the fact he wasn't even considered for the lineup for RAD BLAST or any of its precursor events until he himself plead to participate hahahaha and then he was the first time to return to the team after light up the fire despite being the person who's self esteem was ravaged the hardest because he adores and believes in them above all else hahahahaha
