Stop Hating and Start Appreciating.
Why is it that the most exciting athletes in the world generate the most hate? Think about it. No really, think about it. LeBron James; overloaded with talent, skill, determination and work ethic, possibly the best athlete in the world, hated. Johnny Manziel; the most exciting player college football has ever seen, hardworking, passionate and a competitive drive like no other, hated. Floyd Mayweather; unbeaten, successful, driven and confident, hated. Cristiano Ronaldo; speed, flair, talent to burn and one of the most gifted soccer players in history, hated. Are you starting to see the trend? It’s as if the best athletes in the world are hated because of that very fact, they are amazing.
This hate needs to be seen for what it is. It needs to be seen as a reflection on those who impose such hate, not those who are forced to endure it. If one feels the need to exert hate on those that are successful, then what does that say about them?
Now, this would not be a problem if such hate existed only within a minority. But it has been the case for a long time that the majority of those that choose to expose their opinion are those that are simply imposing hate on world-class athletes. So, to every single one of you who hate on those with amazing talents and physical abilities as well as mental drive, I shall address this letter to you:
Dear Haters,
As you sit behind your screens and search for reasons to hate LeBron James even more than you already do, do you ever think that you will have enough time to reflect on all of the amazing things he has done? The NBA Championships, the Finals MVPs, the MVP Awards, or is all of your time taken up by the fact that he doesn’t live in Cleveland anymore?
As you sit behind your screens do you ever think before you generate hate towards those that are clearly better than you at their chosen trade? I didn’t think so.
I think I have you all figured out. You hate these athletic figures because they are successful. With success comes hate; you are all proof for the validity of this statement.
You hate LeBron because he didn’t win his championship in Cleveland? No one has ever won a championship on their own. Jordan had Pippen, a hall of famer, at his side for all six of his championships.
You hate Johnny Football because you think he’s overrated or won’t make it in the NFL? Look at his game tape, and wait for his career to unfold. This kid has talent, a great work ethic and is one of the most passionate individuals in all of sports.
You hate Floyd Mayweather because you think he’s arrogant? The name Muhammad Ali comes to mind. Both were confident in their ability to the point that many saw it as over the top; both endured a large amount of hate as well. But I bet you are not going to disrespect Ali. So stop disrespecting Mayweather. You think he’s too arrogant? Then show me a loss on his professional record.
You hate Cristiano Ronaldo because you think he dives, or you think he’s melodramatic? He’s simply playing the game the way the rest of the world has sculpted the game to be played. How is drawing a foul in basketball any different? Ronaldo doesn’t dive, he draws fouls.
These are just examples of the ignorantly charged hate that exists within the sports world. These examples show just how idiotic your hatred is.
I can understand disliking a player purely out of competitiveness for the team or players that you support. If you’re a Pacers fan, I don’t expect you to like LeBron James. But I expect you to respect the best player in the world. You don’t have to like the best, but you must respect the best.
Stop hating and start appreciating. Show some respect.

What team do you think he is going to go too? I probably think he is going to the Raiders because the browns are probably going to choose Sammy Watkins and the jaguars are going to choose a guard so the next best thing is the raiders which need a QB Matt Schaub won't cut it for them? If he does go to the Raiders will he do anything with them? They have no top Wide Receivers that can make him great for the NFL in my opinion. That's the problem Follow sportcomplex for more NBA and NFL

Brandin Cooks, wide receiver out of Oregon State, displayed NFL speed in the 40 yard dash with the fastest time of 4.30 seconds. Speed is perhaps the most talked about attribute in regards to receivers due to the NFL becoming more of a passing league each year.

Heisman Watch: Week 8
Week 8 proved to be one of the most exciting weeks of the college football season. With eight ranked teams falling to either unranked or lower ranked squads, college football’s Top 25 polls have endured an immense shakeup. Candidates that participated in big games this weekend were presented a tremendous opportunity to showcase their abilities and while some thrived, others were exposed.
Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty cracks my Heisman rankings list for a much-deserved first time this season. Petty led the Bears to a 71-7 Big 12 win over Iowa State, which was good enough to solidify the a top ten ranking in the BCS Standings and #6 in the AP Poll. The Baylor quarterback has had a magnificent season through the first eight weeks, passing for 2023 yards, 15 touchdowns, and only one interception while also rushing for five more scores. In the offensive showcase against Iowa State, Petty racked up 343 passing yards on 23 of 31 passing and two touchdowns through the air while also rushing for one more score. With the number one ranked offense in college football at just under 65 points scored per game, Bryce Petty has established himself as a valid Heisman candidate. Since Baylor has yet to play a ranked opponent, it will be extremely imperative that the junior quarterback’s performance translates into wins against ranked teams in Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State later this season in three consecutive weeks.
Mike Evans falls back in my list at number four after one of the most outstanding single week performances by a wide receiver. The NFL-caliber receiver racked up 287 yards for four touchdowns on 11 receptions in the Aggies 45-41 SEC loss to Auburn. Evans’ numbers, however, don't fully represent why he is the best wide receiver in college football and will be a top five pick in the 2014 NFL draft. Evans’ physical presence and athletic repertoire have drawn comparisons to NFL superstar receiver Calvin Johnson. Furthermore, the redshirt sophomore has demonstrated the ability to make plays after the catch, thrash secondaries on the deep ball, and be a jump ball red zone threat. It also seems that Evans has his best performances in the most pivotal of games, which this season have been against Alabama and Auburn, both ranked teams. Both, however, resulted in losses for the Aggies. Expect Mike Evans to continue to connect with Johnny Manziel for big plays throughout the rest of this season as the Aggies fight to stay relevant in the SEC. With ranked teams like LSU and Missouri still remaining on A&M’s schedule, Evans’ should continue to impress voters and NFL scouts on the national stage against college football’s most potent defensive units in the SEC.
Falling to number three this week is Mike Evans’ quarterback, Johnny Manziel. Although Manziel played extremely well in the 45-41 loss to the Auburn Tigers, the performance of another young quarterback in college football was enough to top the reigning Heisman winner. That all being said, Manziel racked up an efficient 454 yards on 28 of 38 passing and four touchdowns through the air while also adding 48 yards and one more touchdown on the ground. The redshirt sophomore quarterback, however, threw two interceptions and the Aggies offense struggled to protect Manziel on fourth down with a chance to win the ballgame. Fans need to realize that although the Aggies have lost two games this season that they won last season in Alabama and Auburn, Manziel’s passing numbers through Week 8 have exceeded his numbers at this point last season. The biggest part of the Aggies’ struggles this season has been their defense, which ranks 104th in the nation in points allowed. It seems unfair to negate votes from Manziel for something that is entirely out of his control, nevertheless, expect the A&M quarterback to continue to produce at a higher rate than last season.
At number two on my Heisman rankings is Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston. I’m extremely proud of the progress that Winston has made in the Heisman race because at the beginning of the season, I selected Winston as my dark horse Heisman candidate. In August, not many fans on the national level were familiar with just how talented this 18-year-old quarterback is. I first recognized Winston in high school when he appeared on the ESPN show called “Elite 11,” a televised quarterback competition for prep athletes, where Winston dominated the national showcase and was named the best quarterback in high school heading into his high school senior campaign. Learning behind EJ Manuel, now with the Buffalo Bills, Winston’s maturity for a redshirt freshman is evident of just how important it is to not rush into the transition of becoming a collegiate quarterback and learning the system before being thrown into a whirl of expectations. Johnny Manziel and Marcus Mariota did it last season as redshirt freshmen and their numbers have gotten better as redshirt sophomores, a season later. Winston is in a fantastic spot; he’s got great weapons on offense and is playing behind a defense that thrives on creating turnovers (four turnovers at Clemson). This past Saturday, Winston and the Noles traveled to Clemson and knocked off the Tigers 51-14 in a battle of top five ranked programs in the AP Poll. Winston showed no signs of pressure passing for 444 yards and three touchdowns on 22 of 34 attempts while also punching in score on the ground from 4 yards out. What makes Winston so impressive is his ability to make NFL caliber throws from the pocket with incredible confidence and poise. Locking up the number two spot in this week’s BCS rankings, there is no doubt that this Florida State team could run the table, winning the ACC, and clinching a birth to the BCS National Title Game. Winston’s next test, however, is against in-state and ACC rival, #7 Miami.
To top off my Week 8 Heisman list, I have Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota. Mariota led the Ducks in a 62-38 offensive shoot out win over Washington State this past weekend. Although Mariota fumbled the football twice for his first turnovers of the season, the Ducks’ quarterback torched the Washington State defense for 327 yards and two touchdowns on 23 of 32 attempts through the air while adding 67 more yards on the ground including a gashing 57-yard TD run. Mariota continues to provide a dual threat attack that forces the defense to hesitate, which ultimately plays into the hands of a relentless and fast Oregon offense. With Winston creeping up for the number one spot on my Heisman rankings due to his fantastic road performance against formerly #3 Clemson, Mariota will need to take advantage of the opportunity to separate himself once again over the next two weeks when the Ducks host #12 UCLA and then travel up to Palo Alto to avenge their lone loss from last season against sixth-ranked Stanford.

I want to put Johnny Football in perspective for a second.
This video was uploaded in September of 2010, Manziel is talking to this guy about the game he just played and telling him about how Manziel is thinking about visiting Texas A&M and Oregon.
In September of 2010 I was a high school junior who had to retake algebra because I had miserable failed it the year before and had to deal with parents who wouldn't let me see their daughter.
Manziel is only about a year older than me.
If I was being courted by major football powers, growing up rich and being asked by Texas A&M to become this celebrity could you really blame me for trying to turn a profit?
Why would you have a right to be upset at me when I do this? You created me.
People deal with success in different ways and J-Ball is the kid in high school who had money and was really good at sports. You probably had that kid in your school at some point. You either hated him for his cocky attitude and the way he talked to people or you loved him for his confidence and way he carried himself. In either case you talked about. Kids with his level of self assurance, talent and upbringing tend to live life based around the Nirvana lyric "I don't care what you say as long as it's about me". We, the sports fan, talk about him day in and day out and then become upset when he takes it out on somebody while he is doing his craft. We blow up a 20 year old's worth than get upset with him when he shows that he believes it himself. So what does that say about the sports fan? We want you to entertain us but also be exactly who we want you to be, not who you are.
Sure he seems like an entitled party boy but when we elevate him to this level of stardom, do we have the right to complain about him?
