Haven’t posted in ages because I, the admin, have been working on this comic on an on-and-off basis, partly because I replayed Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time recently, and finished it for the first ever time, too! :)

This comic is based on this well-known meme, but the lines are slightly altered, as is a cuss word at the end replaced with Shroob language because why not? ;)

Also, this comic finally shows Bridget’s big brother Sean while not wearing his hood! And it proves that some Shroobs do wear clothes on occasion if they’re not one of the princesses. ;p

“I’m the father of the Gomata household. I don’t live with my parents, but vice versa, as they never wanted to leave my side ever since June and I had John shortly after passing our exams. They’re both great parents and grandparents to all of us, and even accept June as if she’s their own child, since her being estranged by her own parents is quite extreme, to say the least.

To contribute along with our financial situation, I am an author who writes spy fiction which sells quite well, and of which our Jane is also a huge fan, if it’s not spy movies. I work from home as I write those stories on the computer (don’t worry, in case of emergency, they’re saved on an external hard drive), and my wife is also my administrator, and we both make quite a good sum of money that way, too.

Regarding my job, I prefer to start early: it starts with me getting up at 6 in the morning and being all set one or one and a half hour later. Indeed, I occasionally have breakfast along with John and Jane (and, in rare cases, Joey and Jude as well) in case they cannot sleep anymore around the same time, so they can help me prepare the breakfast as well before eating it and subsequently preparing themselves for school (except in case of Jude, of course), if there’s no break for them, at least. Me, I think such situations are the best as experienced by me, as having breakfast alone sure feels different in the social respect.”

“I look like a housewife, but I really do work - from home! I’m an administrator for my husband’s publishing company, and he also works from home that way. He writes spy fiction and all that, and I’m convinced that Jane wants to take over that position once she finishes college or the university… most likely the latter, as she always seems to outsmart her classmates somehow, much like John. I kind of wonder if the youngest two will also outsmart their classmates once they enroll grade school, as my husband and I have experienced it as well, so it must be a typical Gomata family quirk, I presume…?

I’ve known my husband for so long. We first met in pre-school but officially fell in love near the end of 6th grade, and believe it or not, we didn’t just graduate early because we both outsmarted our classmates, but also because of the fact that we only had John at age 17… which is why my parents stopped talking to me, but thank the lord that I still have my parents-in-law in case I want someone else than my husband or children to speak to. Not that literally everything bothers me the whole time, except for those humans lately, of course.”

“Hiya! I not cute…! I be Jude.”

(Jude is the youngest Gomata sibling. He’s consistently adored by his family, much to his own dismay, as he thinks he’s a grown-up child already since he often follows Joey in his footsteps.

Jude is never seen without his pink blanket which he owned since birth, indeed, he loves it so much that every time his parents think it needs a washing, he refuses to give it up until his father addresses him by his full name… which is a good way to make Jude give in, right?

Aside of the many tantrums he throws on a daily basis, Jude’s also a funny child and a sweetheart: for instance, he has worn many pot(tie)s, vases and pans as hats out of his high amount of curiosity, pronounces new words in quite a humorous fashion (even though he doesn’t like being laughed at that by anyone), and he cares about his family to the point where he doesn’t want anything negative happening to them and protects them from any harm that one can imagine.)

“I’m John’s younger and only sister, and unlike many sibling stories I’ve heard, we’re a pretty good match for each other (we’re even the only siblings around our household who share a room), as we’re both quite intelligent in comparison to many others we know in our lives.

To be honest, I’m really wondering how intelligent our younger brothers will be later on, because Joey already seems to be willing to learn tons of stuff that John and I already know, and Jude often tries to follow after his three older siblings as well, so that may just be a good sign, too.

At school, I’m also the most intelligent student out of all of my classmates, of which they do not always approve, which is why I only have very few friends and often feel lonesome, even at home. However, I won’t be surprised if one day, my teacher will tell me that I’m allowed to go to middle school early because of my outstanding intelligence. And if I go to college, I’m willing to study anything in the way of what most of the stereotypical spies and problem sleuths do - you know, interrogations and whatnot. I just loooove such scenes in spy movies and novels.”

“I’m just an average nerd among everyone else. Not that anybody has ever called me that (not even my siblings!), but I think I am because of my enormous glasses that I’m required to wear due to the fact that I’m quite nearsighted.

I live with my parents whom we all refer to as Mum and Dad, my paternal grandparents, also known as Poppop and Nanna, and my three siblings: I have a younger sister named Jane, who’s in 5th grade, a younger brother named Joey, who’s in 1st grade, and a little brother named Jude, who cannot go to school yet. Oh, and we also have a pet Spiny Shroopa named Urchie.

Every weekday, I go to middle school. I don’t have many friends, but Marcia is definitely my crush, as they’re also mine, because that’s what they said. My favourite course is science, and my least favourite course is economics, because I barely occupy myself with anything in that way. Oh, not to mention that English is a very interesting course, too, as my crush loves to learn new languages as well.

At home, it’s always a chaos, as Jane and I are the only ones with homework so far, but our younger brothers always try to disrupt us while we try to study and such. The only time where our house is quiet is whenever everyone gets a good night’s rest, which also barely happens, as Jane and I have trouble sleeping because of school, and Jude often refuses to go to sleep due to the fact that he’s currently going through ‘pre-adolescence’. But other than that, I love my grandparents, parents, siblings and pet dearly, and really cannot be without them.”
