this is so random but if you're interested in more mcyt then Oli, Mr TheOrionSound is very funny and has a nice lil mcyt "group" or "niche" with ppl like LDShadowlady, SmallishBeans, Scott and Shubble + more!

Highkey agree with this, they are so pog!! After I stopped watching stampy/squid when I was younger, the second real mcyt group I became obsessed with were those people, who I mentally nicknamed the British Squad bc, as far as I know, they don't have an official name. I first started watching Lizzie, who I found through some Gmod youtubers I watched a lot, then I'd watch mostly her, Yammy, and Oli, plus the occassional Scott and Seapeekay. That's why I was so proud and happy when I found out that Scott had become well-known around the MCYT community because of MCC; it was so awesome to see this guy who'd been such a small Youtuber just playing on servers with his friends make it so big.

I'd mostly watch their minigames, like playing party games, build battle, or block hunt together, and their custom games, like base invaders and lucky block challenges. Nowadays, they play on several SMPs they make that come and go, from CrazyCraft to X Life. Right now I think they're on Empires SMP, which I haven't gotten around to watching much of, but would really like to.

Really, if you like watching just a group of close friends play modded Minecraft on an SMP, I'd highly recommend any of these content creators.

Que rambling:

Watchers are not evil in the sense that they are inheritently malicous, but rather they are apathethic to the simple problems of a player. Ticks or clocks or years or eons are rather meaningless to them and they view player's lives more as a narrative than an entity. Their job is to make the best story possible, and what good is a narrative without some strife. What is a live or a hundred in the scheme of the universe? The watchers aren't a grand force more than they are editors in the universe's narrative. Once a story is created, it must be served. Grian acts as a force of change, be it in himself, in wars, in codes, or in lives. Scar has charmed death itself, so it shall keep him safe as often as it drags him back to its claws. Jimmy has a theme of death and so it shall be held across stories. Joel is doomed to remain in death's wake as nature heals and clay draws it strength from the earth. These are all aspects the watcher see and while they don't normally step in ( they learned their lesson after the events of xelqua ), they do have a job of making the threads between worlds cohessive. While their terms differ between legends, be it demons, angels, gods, or forces of nature, they have existed as long as the code itself and will probably continue to do so. Additionally Ramblings that didn't quite fit in the first bit

- Watchers used to be a large expansive force, but now generally consist of a group of 12. Xelqua was their first and only attempt at molding something else into a watcher since watchers can't really form naturally they way they used to. They haven't tried again.

- Watcher's used to be commonly found in mythos alongside the ender dragon and elytra but record's of the watchers have generally fallen out of history.

- Watchers have the ability to manipulate code which is how they provide updates.

- Watchers cannot vocalize the same way player's do and their role as the narrative's editors is why they only communicate via signs in evo.

- Grian specifically was already on the path to being a deity (IE Martyn saying commenting how he was already too powerful as a player when all the evo members finding out he became a watcher ) so he was easier to model into a watcher. It also made him kinda unstable as a watcher since his code was a mix between deity, watcher, and player.

- Admins can infact contact watchers with the right amount of knowledge but due to knowledge of watchers generally being lost to time this hasn't occured in eons.

How each test subject joined third life

The goverment captured Grian who they reconized as a green lantern when he was visting Phil

Scar and Bdubs came down to Earth to look for him after he went missing. The goverment(we really need a name for them) took them to cover their tracks

Impulse, Tango and their friend Skiz went in next. They were captured too

Martyn and Jimmy were sent from Grian's home-planet to look for the missing royal

Cleo, Etho and Ren snuck off HC-7 to look for their missing friends despite Xisumas warnings

Scott and Joel worked for the government people as scientists

And BigB was taken off th streets to test a civilian against trained heros

Mumbo, Iskall, Zedaph and Doc went to Earth to look for the missijng hermits but got there as the first episode of 3rd life came out. They roomed with the Titans using Doc's relationship with Sam as they watched the horror their friends were going though

Okay scar has redeemed himself with those fail kills on joel earlier bc this was a good and dramatic kill. “welcome to magic mountain!” I love a showman murderer they’re very funny to me. Part of the reason I really like the monologue in the fall it has villain showman vibes.
