Que rambling:

Watchers are not evil in the sense that they are inheritently malicous, but rather they are apathethic to the simple problems of a player. Ticks or clocks or years or eons are rather meaningless to them and they view player's lives more as a narrative than an entity. Their job is to make the best story possible, and what good is a narrative without some strife. What is a live or a hundred in the scheme of the universe? The watchers aren't a grand force more than they are editors in the universe's narrative. Once a story is created, it must be served. Grian acts as a force of change, be it in himself, in wars, in codes, or in lives. Scar has charmed death itself, so it shall keep him safe as often as it drags him back to its claws. Jimmy has a theme of death and so it shall be held across stories. Joel is doomed to remain in death's wake as nature heals and clay draws it strength from the earth. These are all aspects the watcher see and while they don't normally step in ( they learned their lesson after the events of xelqua ), they do have a job of making the threads between worlds cohessive. While their terms differ between legends, be it demons, angels, gods, or forces of nature, they have existed as long as the code itself and will probably continue to do so. Additionally Ramblings that didn't quite fit in the first bit

- Watchers used to be a large expansive force, but now generally consist of a group of 12. Xelqua was their first and only attempt at molding something else into a watcher since watchers can't really form naturally they way they used to. They haven't tried again.

- Watcher's used to be commonly found in mythos alongside the ender dragon and elytra but record's of the watchers have generally fallen out of history.

- Watchers have the ability to manipulate code which is how they provide updates.

- Watchers cannot vocalize the same way player's do and their role as the narrative's editors is why they only communicate via signs in evo.

- Grian specifically was already on the path to being a deity (IE Martyn saying commenting how he was already too powerful as a player when all the evo members finding out he became a watcher ) so he was easier to model into a watcher. It also made him kinda unstable as a watcher since his code was a mix between deity, watcher, and player.

- Admins can infact contact watchers with the right amount of knowledge but due to knowledge of watchers generally being lost to time this hasn't occured in eons.

Hahah you are right. I guess I do have a thing for puppy boys.

We are staying in an airbnb across the river from Seoul but it's in a more expensive district from what we can tell haha. So we might spend a bit more time outside of that area and more time in Seoul. We want to take a day trip to Busan but also want to try to go to some hanok villages (oh please tell me if I am so wrong with my explanations), the markets, honestly just anywhere we can see things that are older than anything that I personally could even imagine.

Also the food! I am so excited to try different things. We also want to go to Lotte tower and the aquarium though I'm sure that is the most tourist thing to say haha.

Honestly we are always writing down new places and trying to see if we can get there for our trip and always looking for recommendations.

We are going in November like the 27th through December 5th (we will be there for my birthday) so there should be a lantern festival taking place. So that is also of course on the list of things to appreciate.

I too have a thing for groups like that. I'm not sure how you feel about 4th gen groups like Stray Kids but it's one reason I find them so fascinating, their self producing. Ugh and that's also why I just love Jihoon and honestly Chanyeol so much. Their time spent in studios. I mean Jihoon is on another level even compared to Chanyeol but the talent in these people is just astounding.

I agree the stalking and paparazzi is everywhere but I do see it more prevalent in k-pop. It's a bit more scary too. The idols share so much with us and I do love that but it's also giving so much to these people who wish them harm or are a bit too delusional. I just want them safe and happy. I respect and love them from a distance in my own deululu way haha.

OMG SEXIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! and NAURR ure explaining everything v clearly! sounds like a great plan to me tbh, i hope u both get to enjoy ur stay there (while also staying safe!!) <3 i'm wondering abt ur paperwork though? last time i heard they werent allowing tourists/foreigners who didnt get the vacc in korea. do they now allow you to enter even if u got vacc-ed in ur own country? or do they only have a brand (pfizer/moderna) requirements now like the US?

i can't really get into any other group bc the svteenies have a vice grip on me tbh KJFDKJDFKJDFKJ but i do see the appeal in 4th gen <3 (although i also cannot see myself getting into them -bgs specifically- bc they are mostly younger 😭😭, BUT i still find myself listening to them/watching them sometimes) and youre SOOO valid!! i respect these people sm, aside from the skill and creativity it requires, the process must be SOO tedious as well bc of the labels
