2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

3. What fandoms do you write for?

I've written for Cherik/X-men, The Old Guard (Joe x Nicky), the Dragonriders of Pern, Marauders era Harry Potter, Red White & Royal Blue, and am currently working on a destiel/supernatural fic.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Dear Soldier, a Cherik fic (116,000 words) that I co-authored clocks in at 2,401 kudos. That is my most kudosed fic by more than a 1,000.

Tryst With a Stranger is a smutty little Cherik fic (10,000 words) I wrote about a gifset, loads of fun.

Survival Instinct is my X-Men First Class fix-it fic (116,000 words).

Bug on a Plate is a fun middle-aged Cherik fic that grew (20,000 words) into a pandemic roommate fic, back when we thought those were fun to write.

And clocking in at #5 on the kudos list is Lehnsherr & Xavier: Attorneys at Law, a Cherik AU with powers (107,000 words).

5. Do you respond to comments?

Yeah, pretty much. If it's just a "Great fic!" I may not respond. I figure the people who leave the really short comments don't really expect a reply.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't really do angst. In Comfort that which I've brought to ashes, (The Old Guard, 37,000 words), Joe's family is not accepting of his sexuality and that causes him pain. That's not really the focus of the fic though.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

That would have to be ATYD - Happy Ending. LOL. "All The Young Dudes" was Marauders era canon-compliant and had a horribly angsty ending because nothing good happens to Sirius and Remus. So I wrote a canon-divergent story that picks up just before Harry Potter's parents get killed. Then I ran out of steam on it. I wrote about 26,000 words and then just summarized the rest of the plot. Technically, it's unfinished, but I put in all my plot notes so readers know how it ends.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

No. I mean, once, but it was kind of a mutual thing, not just an attack out of the blue.

9. Do you write smut?

I don't write Explicit. I write sex, but I don't write descriptions of genitals and bodily fluids.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Nothing published. I have three chapters of a Supernatural crossover with Roswell New Mexico in a drafts folder, but I doubt I'll ever finish it. Sigh. I've got the whole plot plotted out.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I am aware of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Maybe? A couple of people have asked and I said yes, but I don't know if they ever finished the translation.

13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?

Yes, Dear Soldier. It was only sort of co-authored. Two other authors started it. One author dropped out. The second author soldiered on for several more chapters and then quit. I came in and finished it, with the second author as my beta reader. It was a good experience.

14. What is your all time favorite ship?

Based on my AO3 author page, its Cherik. I tend to go all-in and then completely check out. I haven't written or read cherik in several years now, but that is definitely the ship that inspired my writing muse the most!

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Mmm, don't know? I only have one WIP that I've posted and I fully intend to go back and finish it once I've finished the Supernatural fic that hijacked my brain. Readers of scars that can't be seen, I haven't given up on it! It's Red White & Royal Blue from Henry's point of view and I've got about 31,000 words published.

I'm not planning on finishing ATYD - Happy Ending. That's why I put all the plot notes in the last chapter. I guess that's my WIP that remains unfinished.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Emotional truth. My characters are honest and vulnerable. The fic Dear Soldier is about Erik recovering from PTSD and I alternated POV chapters. My beta reader strongly identified with Erik's struggle with overcoming trauma, and I strongly identified with Charles who was really knocked off balance in trying to support someone with PTSD. We've gotten some really heartfelt comments on that fic from people who understand themselves or their loved ones better.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I over-complicate things. I have to back and edit out all sorts of unnecessary explanations and boring details.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language during a fic?

Have I ever done this? I don't think I have. I would rather just say that the character is speaking in a foreign language. Other than super obvious and easy words, like Erik calling Charles liebchen.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Battlestar Galactica - the original. It was pencil on paper and I lost it long ago.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Survival Instinct. My god, I knocked it out of the park with that plot. I can't even try to be modest about it. My muse has never hit me with a lightning bolt like that since then, but I'm so glad it happened once!

The Parent Trap 9.5/10 stars (x)

Okay so this one is a parent fic and has Gabe Sam Eileen Claire and Jack as well. This one’s comedic and based off the 1998 film the parents trap. Years after Castiels and Deans divorce they ship off Jack and Claire to the same summer camp where the two uncover they’re twins and decide to pull a little swap like the iconic movie.

This one is a childhood best friend AU where they’ve known each other since they were 4. After the death Castiel’s father he returns to their home town and Dean and him reunite, bringing up the bad and good memories from their childhood and teenage years. Definitely a bit more angsty and a slow burn!

hehehe well i am so glad you asked, delfi! here is a post i made last night about it because someone else asked, but i absolutely will go more into it lol

so basically, it was probably somewhere between 3-4am and i decided to text grace sk8 headcanons rather than sleep, as one does, and i went:

"joe unironically watched supernatural and that’s part of the reason why he and cherry broke up

(maybe joe just thought dean was attractive—sue him!)"

and uh... it was supposed to be a joke but then grace agreed with me sooooooo joe is obsessed with spn but he is angry about the destiel italian dub (which cherry rubs in his face like. all the time) and he was a destiel shipper from the moment he first saw them interact.

joe once tried flirting with cherry by saying "i'm the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition" and cherry threw him out of his own apt

(and maybe he sees a little bit of himself in dean and a little bit of cherry in cas, so what?)

and he got upset around season eleven but literally Cannot stop watching because it was his thing, ya know? he was dean for halloween once.

i headcanon joe with depression and have Many Feelings about that, but when he has really bad depressive episodes or cherry can tell one is coming (if he can catch it, that is), then cherry crawls in bed with him and turns joe's comfort spn episodes on (and i just decided that the one who would be king is another one of joe's comfort episodes (it reminds him a little of cherry and ad*m sometimes, the good old days)

he also just has a lot of good memories revolving around the show. in my joe with depression universe, joe hot diagnosed after he graduated, so whenever he felt really sad in high school and such, spn was his go to and it became an anchor for him in a lot of ways and provided comfort and this feeling of home he struggled to find when he was really sad.

he can also acknowledge that it is not the greatest show ever with the best writing and teh best acting, but that's something he likes about it. he likes that the show is sometimes so stupid it's funny.

but, yeah. joe was a hardcore destiel shipper. it was probably his lockscreen at some point and maybe even one of his first introductions to homosexuality. he read a lot of destiel fanfiction and joe is not the biggest fan of reading.

cherry to this day still teases him for unironically liking spn and for crying when the spanish dub came out

also joe never straight up wrote destiel fanfiction, but he definitely daydreamed about it

langa, on the other hand, did write destiel fanfiction and posted it. but that is another story for another time, i suppose.

now i'm thinking about joe and langa having spn nights at joe's apt or at langa's house and they watch their favorite episodes and :) bonding :)

Canon – Things explicitly shown/stated in the source material. (Sam Winchester knows a lot about plants and can shoot a gun. Joe Morelli’s car blew up and nearly took Janet with it)

Apocrypha Canon/Authorial Intent – Things explicitly stated by the creators of the source material to be canon, but did NOT show up, or was not made clear, in the canon material. (Dumbledore being homosexual, the identity and location of several of the clans in Gargoyles, etc).

Cherrycanon – cherry picking parts from canon that you enjoy. Usually applied to the older fandoms that have multiple timelines/canons (such as Transformers, where you have the 80s toon, 80s comic, IDW etc. Having Nooroo be female as she is in the Korean dub, rather than how he is male in most of the other dubs) but can apply to any source material. Often seen in conjunction with Anticanon.

Anticanon – A fan idea/canon that is contradicted by canon or outright breaks/ignores canon. Breaking or ignoring either a single or small number of canon events or elements but otherwise holding true to canon. A minor character death is ignored. That really, REALLY, stupid line that you feel was totally OOC wasn’t said, that canon fact that contradicts common sense or other canon totally is dropped. (‘Oh everyone Goliath and company ran into was totally speaking English on the World Tour’ and ‘they totally spoke modern English in 900s SCOTLAND’. NOPE. Nope nope nopiety nopenopenope)

Probacanon – Things that are IMPLIED by the source material’s creators but not stated outright, apparently comes from the creators but is not from a fully trusted/verifiable source, and/or that have so much evidence supporting them and nothing at all that contradicts them that they very well may BE canon, but it is not outright stated or shown to be canon in the source material or by the creators. Note that if this is contradicted or debunked by ANY of the creative team such as producers, actors, artists, writers, etc… IT IS NOT PROBACANON. It doesn’t matter how popular the theory is or how much you want it to be canon, if it is negated in any way it is headcanon/fanon/AU. (Prowl and Smokescreen being Praxians due to mold-sharing with Bluestreak. Nino’s family being from Reunion, from Astruc’s twitter page. Also the Nino’s family being from Morocco, which only has a screenshot of a privately answered tumblr-mail, which some fans consider non-verifiable. Conversly, Destiel, which has had members of the creative team debunk it over the years, is NOT probacanon and instead is headcanon/fanon/crackcanon/AU depending on who you ask… and please note I SHIP Destiel and really love said ship.)

FanworkCanon – Things explicitly shown/stated in a fanwork series, making it canon THERE. (Alya’s father was a Nurse, Juleka likes music and is good with computers/coding, Rose wants to paint everything in Paris pink, etc. are examples of FanworkCanon in my series) Many things that are my headcanons/etc for the series are FanworkCanon for obvious reasons.

Headcanon – a fan created theory that is both NOT contradicted in anyway by canon and is at least partially supported by canon/apocrypha. (The Thunderbirds being numbered in order of construction)

Wishcanon – a fan created theory that is NOT contradicted by canon, but is not necessarily supported by canon/apocrypha… and the rules for ‘not contradicted’ are a wee bit more lax. Things you wish were in the show/canon but are not moored in anyway to canon. ie: not supported. Although if it is CONTRADICTED by canon it become an anticanon(Marinette, while excelling at combat games, is actually average-at-best at other game types, such as RPG)

Fanon – a fan created theory/headcanon/wishcanon/anticanon that is so popular/well known that it is often mistaken for, or treated like, canon.

Crackcanon – I know it’s not gonna happen, YOU know it’s not gonna happen and it’s completely left field… but good lord is it FUNNY and silly and soooooo much fun.

Okay, so I’m VERY interested in the answer to this question because for YEARS the one in the top spot, from 2017, has outperformed EVERYTHING else I’ve written. 

And even when I started writing in other fandoms, Supernatural stayed at the top. 

But look at this list (I put the year published in front of each fic) – This isn’t TRUE anymore. Yes, it’s still in the top spot, but out of HOW MANY FICS, I have a NEW ONE pushing into 2nd place???? MY EYES ARE BOGGLING!!!

6) What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? 

Okay, I don’t really do angsty endings. I LOVE angst, but I want a happy ending. Most of my fics that have angsty endings are either super short CODAs or part of a series that resolve the angst eventually – so I’ll give you these two:

What Time Forgets (MCU/Old Guard crossover Series: 49k, Rated M, Nicky/Joe/Bucky)

Till the End of the Line (MCU Canon AU Series: 86k, Rated E, Steve/Bucky/Clint/Natasha – basically a “What if”)

7) Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you have ever written? 

YES I DO!

Craziest? Probably Colliding Worlds – my Doctor Who/SPN crossover (54k, Rated G, Destiel). I had to make a timeline graph to keep track of which version of the doctor was making an appearance at any point in time. It looks like a spaghetti diagram threw up.

Most AMBITIOUS would be the 4 in one crossover I did: All Mixed Up (Rated G, 30k, Destiel, McKirk, Winterhawk) – Star Trek/SPN/MCU at Hogwarts (with a couple of actual HP characters thrown in)

8) Have you ever received hate on a fic? Nope. Thank god. I’ve had some weird comments, I will admit. But not hate.

9) Do you ever write smut? If so, what kind? I do. Um. Porn with plot, pretty much.

10) Have you ever had a fic stolen? I very much doubt it.

Yes, for a challenge. It had 3 authors, counting me, and if the challenge hadn’t been set up the way it had, I’m still not sure we could have pulled it off.

Destiel (Time Travel and Future Fics)

Summary: A week ago, Dean was pulled out of Hell. Now, he’s apparently woken up in 2018, and the angel that a mere twenty-four hours beforehand had threatened to chuck him back into the pit is sleepily pouring himself coffee and wearing Dean’s second-favourite Zeppelin shirt. It all seems like a perfect happy ending, but with Hell’s scars still so fresh, Dean can’t imagine how he could have possibly gotten there.

At the same time, the Dean who went to sleep in the bunker, right next to Cas, wakes up on Bobby’s couch in 2008. I tend to stick closely to canon when it comes to lore and things like that, so if you are religious its probably best not to get offended by things like Lucifer and such because it’s just a show. I personally don’t come from a religious background, though my husband, who is very well versed in Judeo-Christian mystics, helps me in those areas of the show. I also happen to hold a degree in history and am pretty knowledgeable in anthropology, mythology, and world religions. That being said, I suggest we keep to the guidelines and criteria dictated by the show, not the bible.

* I am relatively new to Tumblr roleplays so I am not completely fluent in the lingo and such. I don’t know how to do icon threads and I don’t know what discord or anything like that is so we should stick with thread style format. Although I do like to insert pictures and gifs into my posts once in a while.

She tends to find ‘human things’ like eating unsettling and disgusting, at first, but she is open-minded and when given enough encouragement, she will try new things.

* Hannah likes plants and plant life. She has an aversion to things like fences, borders, and barriers. Some things she retained from Caroline was being a bit of a daydreamer, animal lover, and an adventurous world traveler. In RPGs were Caroline was able to have a career, she always pursued something in travel and tourism, or in anthropology.

* In this headcanon, Hannah has given up her vessel’s soul who has gone to heaven, leaving Hannah her body. But she still recalls certain events from Caroline’s life, like living in Montana. Her favorite animals are horses, dogs, and tigers.

* In this headcanon, Caroline and her husband were not on the best of terms. Depending on RPG, Joe can be seen as neglectful at best, abusive at worst, and there was a reason why Caroline said Yes to Hannah in the first place. This may or may not contradict canon, depending on your interpretations of it.

* Hannah is considered a relatively young angel. She is perhaps 5-10 million years old which when compared to the archangels which are perhaps billions of years old,is very young. She is older than humanity but wasn’t around to see dinosaurs.

* Hannah has had limited dealings with humans but she does have a certain bond with Caroline Johnson.

Coldflash Week Fall 2019: Len’s Oculus Powers. AKA the Bad Wolf AU

Yet another fic idea that I’ve been meaning to write for years. If you feel inspired then, by all means, feel free to write it out! Just please give me credit for the idea (or, at the very least, credit Dr Who since this is based on Rose Tyler as Bad Wolf). PS, please forgive me my shoddy editing skills. I was in a bit of a rush.

“What can we do?” Mick asked, and Rip shook his head.

“Nothing. The human body isn’t designed to absorb all the information of the timestream.”

“So, that’s it, then?” Sara asked, indignant. “Leonard’s going to just die again? We’ve only just got him back!”

“What about a speedster?” Barry asked, and all eyes turned to him. “I have the speed force running through me, how much different could this be?” He asked. “Is there any way for me to, I don’t know, absorb it from him?”

“It’s… possible,” Rip said after a momentary pause. “Though, speedster or not, you are still human. It may not be any safer for you than it is for Mr Snart.”

“It’s not worth it, Bear,” Joe was saying instantly. But Barry shook his head; he had to try.

So, that was how, ten minutes later, Barry found himself standing in front of Leonard Snart. Leonard’s eyes were glowing an unearthly blue as they tracked Barry’s movement. He was silent and emotionless. Though, not the put-upon mask that he often wore to keep people at bay. His face was just… blank. Barry wondered, not for the first time, if Snart was even in there or not.

“It’s okay, Leonard,” Barry said softly, stepping up to Snart until they were only a mere foot apart. He cast a look back over his shoulder at his friends, feeling nervous about what he had to do.

When he looked back to Snart, the older man was still just standing there silently. And, Barry didn’t know whether that made things easier or more difficult. Because, according to Rip, there was only one sure-fire way for Barry to absorb the remnants of the timestream which clung on in Snart’s body, and that was through open connect. Specifically, a kiss.

“I’m going to make it all okay. Just… don’t punch me, alright?” He laughed humourlessly. Then, before he could overthink this, Barry took that last step and crashed their lips together. For a moment, nothing happened. And then everything happened.

Barry saw it all. Every moment that ever was, every moment that ever would be, everything that could be, and everything that had never come to pass. He saw it all. It was like running through the speed force, except it was a million times bigger and in a fraction of the time. He saw hatred, war, peace, love. So much love.

He saw Iris, Felicity, Caitlin, Cisco, Joe, Leonard… no, Len. He preferred Len. Barry could see it now, everything that Len had been through, everything that had ever happened which had made Len who he was. The good and the bad. And there was a lot of bad. So much that Barry wanted to hold him tight and never let him go again.

And, oddly enough, Barry saw this moment. It was like an out-of-body experience, watching himself kiss Leonard Snart in the middle of the lab and with all of his friends watching. It started innocent enough, a quick peck, but then Len lifted his hands to cup Barry’s jaw, and it deepened. Barry could feel Len’s rough hands against the skin of his cheek, and he watched the scene play out as though he was watching it on TV rather than being an active participant. He felt his tongue slip inside Len’s mouth, though he didn’t remember making the conscious thought to do so.

A second passed, and then Sara let out a rowdy hoot behind them, and Mick began laughing so hard that he nearly fell to the floor, Joe started face palming and shaking his head, while pretty much everyone else just uncomfortably averted their gaze. Barry realised he probably should have been embarrassed, but he was so caught up in everything – in Len, in them, in memories and futures, in life itself – that he just didn’t feel it.

But soon it became overpowering.

Barry’s head began to buzz painfully, his eyes hurt as though he was straining to see everything, his mouth began to feel numb. He stumbled back from the kiss, and the second that the connection between himself and Len broke, Len’s body slumped, and he fell to the floor. Barry tried to catch him, but his vision was swimming now, and his limbs felt heavy. He heard someone shout his name behind him. He heard it echo through his head as it happened again and again and again in countless timelines.

And then everything went black.

When Barry came to again, a few days had passed. He was lying in a make-shift hospital bed in one of the smaller labs at STAR, and both Cisco and Caitlin were hovering around him expectantly and asking him relentless questions. At first, Barry didn’t really remember what had happened. But soon, it all came flooding back to him. Well, not all of it. He struggled to remember most of what he’d seen while connected to the timestream, which had apparently faded from his body due to his accelerated healing factor. But, the memory of Len’s tongue dancing against his own was all too real.

“Where’s, erm…” Len. Just thinking his name made Barry’s heart beat a little faster and he was forever glad that Cait had already unhooked him from the heart rate monitor.

“Your boyfriend’s over there,” Cisco joked, and Barry blushed. He was about to stutter out some sort of excuse when he glanced over to where Cisco had been pointing and found Len lying in a hospital bed identical to Barry’s, connected to an IV drip and various machines.

The words died on Barry’s tongue as he abruptly stood up and flashed over to Len’s side without really thinking about it. His reaction must have been a surprise to Cisco because the other man’s smile was already dropping from his lips.

“Is he okay?” Barry asked, and Caitlin nodded.

“He’s not deteriorating anymore. He’s actually been healing. On a cellular level, he’s fine,” she said.

“But?” Barry asked, seeing the hesitation on her face.

“But… we don’t know how long he’s going to be out for. Or, if he ever will wake up.”

Barry shook his head. He didn’t go through all of that just for Len to get stuck in a coma for the rest of his life. Barry couldn’t accept that. He wouldn’t.

Barry didn’t know whether it would work, but he’d done it once before with Jesse. He reached forward, his fingers crackling with electricity, and he took Len’s hand in his own. The second their skin made contact, Len was gasping and bolting upright in his bed. Wordlessly, Len looked at Barry, his blue eyes lacking the unnatural glow they’d had before, as Caitlin scrambled forward to check him over.

Barry tried to take his hand back and give his friend more room to work, but Len grabbed him tighter and refused to let go. Barry let out a shaky laugh and smiled as he took in the unfiltered emotions covering Len’s face. He looked as though he was in absolute awe of Barry, and it made Barry blush.

“Well, if it isn’t my Scarlet Speedster,” Len said, his voice sounded dry from disuse, but it made Barry’s heart flutter all the same. “You owe me a real kiss.”

“Then look away,” Len drawled, tugging sharply on Barry’s hand until he stumbled forwards and into Len’s arms. Barry was smiling as their lips met. He couldn’t help it. It was a messy kiss, and there was a little bit too much teeth involved, but neither Len nor Barry could care about that.
