Parade of the Award Nominees (1932)
Mickey, Clarabelle, and Pluto have made it to color! While this isn't the first time Disney has done a color short it is the first time the mouse was a part of one. This short wasn't designed for the general public but was instead made for the Academy Awards Banquet; as such it is just a small parade showing some of the people nominated for best actor and actress. In case you were dying to know Fredric March won for Jekyll and Hyde and Helen Hayes won for The Sin of Madelon Claudet.

(We created world music | Music | The Guardian)
"...on June 29 1987, a group of music enthusiasts involved in the running of independent record labels met in a London pub, The Empress of Russia, to discuss how they might market music from around the world. The group - which included DJ Charlie Gillett, Ian Anderson (now editor of fRoots magazine), record producer Joe Boyd and Iain Scott - decided on a joint campaign to put “world-music” boxes in record stores to promote their products".

Whaddya think about the Stones blessing Joe Bonamassa with an opening act set at their Seattle date (personally, pleased Mobile’s own The Red Clay Strays got the nod for Gillette Stadium)?
Well, I confess that as great a player as he is, Bonamassa’s music fails to move me. So I think it’s a decision that was made when Mick and Keith were busy yelling at each other rather than truly paying attention.
It’s funny, they have had some talented openers, courageous choices including Ike and Tina, BB King, Prince, Stevie Wonder and Wonderlove, Fab T-Birds, etc.
I’m happy they are still around, I think that’s all I have to say about that because I don’t want to join the anti-Joe club, a club of millions of jealous white dudes my age. Still, hard to imagine who made that call unless ticket sales were slow and they needed to pull in the “Blues Lawyer” demographic.
By the way, you did not ask, but they remain a true band live, no tapes, Mick is singing all the songs. They have fewer people on stage than in previous years, nobody to fill in when Woody forgets a chord change, and choosing Steve Jordan to take the drum throne was an inspired choice.
Very kind of you to ask. My Stones answers run long.

Hockey goes for blondes a lot too. But I want to defend WAGs a bit. I used to work in retail pharmacy and the WAGs would come in for their boys and kids, and they were always so kind. In the group in my mind where I remember my best patients. And I’ve met a few in person, and all the ones I’ve met have been really cool and personable and complete individuals.
Adding that I’m very much not blonde, but I do have a thing for blonde boys (🫣). And a lot of the guys get set up with people that the other WAGs know, so 🤷🏻♀️
My cousin works at Gillette stadium & another at Fenway and has said the same thing about how kind and cool they are! But I have another family member that works at TD gardens & hasn’t had the best luck with a lot of those wags so that kind of sucks to hear though they told me the parents are the ones that are always super kind & down to earth that’s why I don’t personally judge or have opinions on any cause some are great and some aren’t just like the players themselves 🤷🏽♀️
I’m usually into brunettes myself but this has been the year of blonde between Joe and my gf 😂
