Guys, I love you all to bits–and I'm obsessed with Patti just as the rest of you. But, my brothers in christ, I bEG of you to stop mischaracterizing her roles as patti clones. it's frankly a little insulting to patti's insane acting range! I really don't think Patti and Lilia Calderu, per se, act or talk or think alike at all, for example. And while she does bring a very particular, italian, patti-edge to everyone she plays, she still plays them entirely different to each other. Lilia may have Patti mannerisms, a Patti essence of sorts, but she's very different to our girl. Same applies to Joanne, to Avis Amberg, to Nellie Lovett, to Reno Sweeney, to Joan Ramsey, to Evita Perón, (fucking Evita Perón-) to Kitty Duval, to Libby Thatcher, to Fantine, Norma Desmond, Mama Rose, Helena Rubenstein, Maria Callas?? Joan Clayton, Dr Seward?? 😭🙏 Her acting isn't even the same in two performances of the same character, I think it's a little underwhelming to portray all her characters as entirely Patti just because of her icon status and the fact we all want to sleep with heR-

I've made up my mind about this and I've decided that I want to contribute to the Agatha All Along fandom by writing stories, so as from right now my asks and submissions are completely at anyone's disposal. I will write anything, and I do mean anything, about Lilia, Lilia x reader, I used to do Agatha when Wandavision came out, so I'm willing to write her as well. Also as a fan of the legendary Patti Lupone I will write for her as well, any character. You can check out my work in my page or my Ao3 beforehand if you want. I'm writing a Lilia x reader story at the moment , but your requests will have priority over everything else. 😊💛❤️

Juana of Portugal (1439-1475)
She was the posthumous daughter of King Duarte of Portugal and his wife Leonor of Aragon. Juana grew up in exile with her mother, due to the intrigues of the Portuguese court, and lived first at the Monastery of Santa María in Medina del Campo and later in Toledo, where Leonor of Aragon died. At the age of six, Juana returned to the Portuguese court of her brother Afonso V.
In 1455 the young Juana married her cousin Enrique IV of Castile, who had repudiated his first consort after thirteen years of marriage. The couple produced no children. The marriage was annulled on the grounds of an impotence that was specific rather than general, an impotence that applied only to Enrique’s relationship with Blanca of Navarre. Yet such an extraordinary explanation amounted to a case of maleficium (spell), with the clear implication that Blanca was the guilty party, and in addition she was obliged to leave Castile and return to Navarre.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/585e839a41a735bf52f6c254297cff30/ab3c04c0c9c65674-12/s500x750/2c7a5dd310b02252cf4bd8d075b50888f5dd85fc.jpg)
Juana of Portugal was described as beautiful, cheerful and coquettish. The sources speak of the licentiousness introduced by the young Queen and her ladies in the austere Castilian court. They liked to use perfums, makeups, dresses that displayed too much décolletage, and flirting with men. One of her ladies, Guiomar de Castro, was King’s mistress, causing the anger of the Queen, and other, Mencía de Lemos, was Cardinal Mendoza’s mistress.
Six years after her wedding, Queen Juana was pregnant. Some say it was a miracle, others that it was the result of some sort of artificial insemination that the couple had tried, as was recorded by a german traveler. During this period, Juana insisted that Enrique's teenaged brother and sister, Alfonso and Isabel, forcefully be brought to the court and away from their sick mother. Many saw this as a way of making sure her daughter's path to the crown would encounter no obstacles. The Queen gave birth to a daughter named Juana, officially proclaimed heir to the Crown of Castile and created Princess of Asturias.
Queen Juana planned the marriage between her sister-in-law, Isabel of Castile, and her brother Afonso V of Portugal, and her daughter with her nephew Prince Joao. She wanted with these weddings an annexation of the Crown of Castile with the kingdom of Portugal.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/15093ae57ccaa5b9cd8a0e757e9bae0d/ab3c04c0c9c65674-92/s540x810/9387bc5a14707d6a19222e0adba701d5fbe875a3.jpg)
In early 1460s, Castilian nobles became dissatisfied with the rule of Enrique IV, and believed that Princess Juana was not King’s daughter. They called her la Beltraneja, a mocking reference to her supposed illegitimacy. Propaganda and rumour encouraged by the league of rebellious nobles argued that her father was Beltrán de la Cueva, a royal favorite of low background who had been elevated to enormous power by Enrique and who, by some, has been suggested as Enrique's lover.
Many nobles refused to recognise Princess Juana and preferred that Enrique instead name his younger half-brother, Alfonso as his heir. This was agreed to on the condition that Alfonso marries little Juana. Not long after this, Enrique reneged on his promise and began to support his daughter's claim once more. The nobles in league against him conducted a ceremonial deposition-in-effigy of Enrique outside the city of Avila and crowned Alfonso as a rival king.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/81955df1cf3d155b015ed90fe4095dfa/ab3c04c0c9c65674-ee/s400x600/6e69a759627ecdf065ce47345afe6bff4c08a89e.jpg)
Queen Juana and her daughter were removed from the court. They lived in various castles as hostages, separately or together, protected by a faction of the nobility. The love affair of Queen Juana with the Bishop Fonseca’s nephew, Pedro of Castile, and the birth of her two illegitimate sons, caused great scandal. As a result of the need to conceal the pregnancy of her illegitimate sons, Juana of Portugal is considered the inventor of the farthingale.
In 1468, Alfonso of Castile died and Princess Juana was stripped of her succession-rights. Her aunt, Infanta Isabel, was placed before her, on condition that Isabel marry a man chosen out by the monarch. Queen Juana and her daughter sent a formal appeal to the Supreme Pontiff. Enrique accepted to divorce his wife and send her to Portugal, but Juana remained in Castile as king's wife, though separated of her husband. Isabel married Fernando of Aragon with the opposition of Enrique IV.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/70f4b49a2e6c783aae9fec4a1ac4a55b/ab3c04c0c9c65674-7b/s540x810/538b7a7df92cce416665a22521c70816c9e61ec8.jpg)
In 1470, Princess Juana was engaged and then married by proxy to the Duke of Guienne, brother of Louis XI of France. In the face of the French ambassador, King Enrique and Queen Juana swore before a crucifix that the Princess was their legitimate daughter. The French marriage never consummated, because the duke died two years later in France. Queen Juana always defended her daughter’s rights to the throne, and she had an active political participation. Queen Juana tried to get the support of nobles and cities, but with meager success and without palpable results. In 1474, Enrique IV died at the Alcázar of Madrid and rumors circulated that the late monarch had been poisoned, his wife and his daughter demanded an investigation. Queen Juana died a few months after her husband’s death at the age of 36. In the last months of her life, she lived at the convent of San Francisco in Madrid. The cause of her death is unknown.
Bárbara Lennie played Juana of Portugal in TV series "Isabel"

AO3 Wrapped 2024
i was not tagged by @prozac-shaped-urn, but that's never stopped me before.
Works published: 17 Word count: 306,448 Kudos: 160 Hits: 2,416 Bookmarks: 24 Subscriptions: 4 Most popular by kudos: Substitution (25 kudos) Most hits: Learn How to Settle for What You Get (292 hits) Longest: The Sun Comes Up, I Think About You (45,810 words) Shortest: Everything's Different, Nothing's Changed (3,022) Most comments: Learn How to Settle for What You Get (9) Favorite comment:
Every single essay @trying-to-get-somewhere-real has ever left in my inbox. The very first essay for Substitution kickstarted a lengthy attachment to the Julia fandom (especially Avis, my beloved) and I am now sitting on a solid ten fics for this niche market. And while I haven't done the math, I'm just going to assume I've written the majority of the fandom's word count. I am deeply entrenched and cannot be rescued.
Also, every comment wailing about how effective the heartbreaking scenes I write are. In addition to @trying-to-get-somewhere-real, @voltives and @turtle-down are especially gifted at this. I'm a gal who likes to see my readers suffer.
Fics that made me cry: I'm a big crier while writing my own work, but the absolute cream of the crop this year came from the two grief-centered fics, of course. Learn How to Settle for What You Get and The Sun Comes Up, I Think About You.
Fics that made me smile: Kicking my feet, twirling my hair, giggling like a fucking maniac over Avis getting railed six ways to Sunday in If It's Thursday, It Must Be Nora.
Gifts: A very in-depth smutfest from @prozac-shaped-urn, which was quite thoughtful. Granted, I don't really know Hacks and honestly, I wasn't stirred by What About Joan?, but it's the thought that counts. We love to see old broads fucking (in increasingly unrealistic ways).
Gifts I've Given:
When the Morning Comes for @prozac-shaped-urn, which no one has read or acknowledged because it's Broadway Diva RPF, and you know, that's fine. For the best, really. But I will say that it's some good smut.
Buried Sweetly in Her Yellow Hair for @trying-to-get-somewhere-real because a little Judith and Blanche and Avis, and some hairbrushing is an irresistible concept.
A Kind of Happiness No One Really Knows for @little-sweet-cheeks. So, I started taking prompts, and ended up with some delicious concepts for Avis, my beloved. In this one, Avis finally gets to give Julia what for.
Alternative Ingredients for @sparklingmonster in which Avis finally gets a goddamn break from all the shit I put her through.
The Sun Comes Up, I Think About You for @Voltives to celebrate our one-year mutual-iversary with a few Gilded Age OCs played by Marin Mazzie and Jan Maxwell, our beloveds. It gets rough at the end there. My specialty. Collaborations: I don't do that. Events: I really don't do that. Word count read: Absolutely no shot I'm going to do the math on that. Bookmarks: Works by my beloved mutuals:
The Light We Cast by @voltives- in which we finally get some good fucking Passion (1994) fanfiction around here. And it only took thirty years.
slight curvature by @turtle-down - gasp. Someone else picking up the torch and writing Lina/Aurora? Oh, happy days.
Each year, the fandoms I devote myself to grow increasingly niche. Gone are my days of snapping up over 10k hits in a year, and in its place are glory days of far greater worth. Now, I have a special and beloved circle of readers/mutuals that shower me with comments. My stories are for myself and the five others clawing at their enclosures, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
Now, back to writing another gift for a beloved mutual. And this one is...deeply unhinged.

Hello friend! Might I be able to request either a Joan Clayton or Fosca (Passion) Collage? You make them so pretty and I need a new phone background lol 🧡
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/145cbdccddc3c7a95cbbfec10b851a2c/434eb2d131ee3389-b8/s640x960/d8c1f5bcc593ffbbf659404230e790944885f905.jpg)
I hope this is what you wanted lol. I tried to do Fosca originally but I couldn’t find any pictures of quality unfortunately :(
I hope you enjoy! (Please tell me if this is not what you actually wanted)

Sometimes I think about Chyna, a 90s wrestler who was really emotionally hurt by fans joking about or even seriously accusing her of being AMAB, and how I wish I got the chance to be able to tell her how much it helped me grow past my unfulfillable drive to pass to know that a woman could look like she did and still be a woman.
This thought is brought to you by the fact that I changed my avi to an album cover for Cherry Bomb, and like, Joan Jett does not look particularly AMAB most of the time, but I feel like in this one particular image you could look at her and read whatever anatomical tea leaves you want and think "yeah, maybe?", especially since this would have been the era of glam rock and entering the even greater femboy era of glam metal. At least enough that I as someone who wants to actively avoid passing sees it as almost identical to exactly how I'd look if I could make myself in a Simsian CAC, save for a few details like tattoos and eye color. Like take that body and just add a few things on top.
We're more alike than we are different. Societal standards for gender presentation are dumb bullshit. Link up with your cis brothers and sisters, especially the ones who catch heat for looking too much like the other, and kick that shit out.
