I'm kind of a Toshiro Disliker (not really a full-on hater or anything)—it's not due to how he treats Laios or anything, but because I've been in shockingly similar situations to Falin (received random marriage proposals from dudes I do not know at all/had guys I thought were casual friends suddenly act like we were dating or confess some over-the-top love), and I found the way he treats her and some of his other female compatriots to be kinda off-putting. I wouldn't say it's a massive deal or anything, but it bums me out how much his fans defend his behavior as something just as a funny quirk; it was absolutely miserable when I experienced it due to having to change how I talked to people/travelled to places, and in some cases it ruined the relationships completely and made me second-guess how I viewed my regular friendly interactions—I don't mind if people want to defend his behavior around Laios, but I wish they wouldn't include this defense :(

(sorry for continuing the discourse, it just keeps being brought up how much he idolized/related to her while only kinda knowing her and how that made it understandable that he proposed to her out of the blue...it was really dragging me down, I just wanted to get this off my chest)
