Can we just collectively appreciate Jennifer Love Hewitt for a minute? People have been merciless and bagged on her in the past, but she is a good actress and seems like a genuinely nice and good lady. Love her in this, love her maturity and growth. what are, in your opinion, the top three best things and top three worst things about the buckley siblings' relationship? (that number is just, like, a suggestion)

this is such a loaded question i will attempt to answer it briefly. also idk if you mean like. good/bad for them as People or as Characters or for the narrative. so i'm gonna be like indistinct here.

BEST

1. they love each other So much and unconditionally. like i don't believe in unconditional love but i do actually believe that buck and maddie could do or be anything and still love each other just as much.

2. they have a loyalty to each other that i really love. like we've seen how they'll both sometimes go to each other rather than Their Person (chim/eddie) when something is too scary to talk to chim/eddie about and i think it's really lovely how they have that like. security in each other. they'll also be honest with each other even if it means being a little harsh or hurtful and the faith inherent in that is amazing for two characters who are sensitive to anger/rejection.

3. they're so similar and you can Tell how much they've influenced each other throughout their lives. like jlove and ostark do not Look related at all but i have never once looked at the two of them and thought they were unbelievable as siblings because they're acted so beautifully.

WORST

1. they are both so mentally ill in ways that do not always work well together. i think sometimes buck and maddie will Think the other person needs a certain thing and just be flatout wrong because like. idk how to articulate this but even as they confide certain things in each other there are also parts of themselves that they either hide intentionally or can't see because they're so blinded by their history and love for each other. that whole paragraph was so vague but i'm thinking about stuff like maddie freaking out when buck tells her he's started going to therapy and how instead of being like. normal about it. she was like oh my god we fucked him up forever and started talking about it to their parents and chim behind his back. or like maddie leaving and buck lying to chim about it because from his perspective he's like being loyal to his sister but in the process he betrayed his brother who was like. kinda in the right because he understands this part of maddie better than buck does.
