WIP Wednesday

I was tagged by the lovely @shivunin !! I've been more into drawing this week than the previous ones (8LT! Teia and Viago are gonna make an appearance soon hehe), but as far as writing goes, here's some more Viago in the Hossberg Wetlands during and immediately after Ice and Fire!!

In the immediate moments after the battle (which Viago’s caravan had apparently reached in just the nick of time – Rook and their allies could have the pitiful excuse for roads in the Anderfels to thank for that), Viago barely had time to exchange a few words with Lucanis Dellamorte, during which congratulations were traded, reports were exchanged and introductions were made. Before the sun could attempt to rise again, Rook’s band was whisked away, disappearing through a dirt-stained Eluvian. As such, he was left to make fast friends (or rather, polite acquaintances) with the stout Warden-Commander and her odd husband.

It turned out that their company was more than tolerable, and now after several days, Viago was not looking forward to yet another fortnight spent in a carriage ride across the Anderfels, with no respite or conversation except his Crows.

He was not too proud to admit that the Orlesian Warden’s laboratory was profoundly interesting. Most of his days in Hossberg were spent in that freezing alcove, where the elf meticulously analysed samples of Blighted substances under various conditions. They caught the occasional worried glance thrown their way by fellow Crows or Wardens, especially when Antoine elaborated on the damn thing as if it talked to him, which was tad disconcerting, but Viago had spent far too many long nights so wrapped in his own work that the poisons seemed to come alive. There were far worse things about the Blight than that.

(Not even Viago, for all his pragmatism, would have included it in any of his experiments - surely, there are some poisons better left unmixed. That certainty, however, did nothing to diminish his fascination with the subject. Where else could he watch it studied like this, in a more or less controlled environment?

A part of him was chilled at the thought of it in Treviso’s waters, the way the Venatori had attempted to plant it in the canals during the dragon attack. Watching it envelop any substance placed in it and eat, the Blight acted like the closest thing to a living organism Viago had ever seen in a glass phial. An unkillable parasite. There would have been nothing to do, had the Venatori succeeded. No antivenin to mix, no antidote to purge it; Viago shuddered as if someone had just walked over his grave.)

I know I've talked about this before, but I find it so interesting that almost every single reactor I've watched for MSP or MLMU(TH) have expressed that Gemini is the one they are most attracted to or the one that caught their attention... while for me (and i'm sure tons and tons of others I just haven't seen), it was the opposite! Fourth immediately caught my eye in the first episode of MSP. His smile is literally one of my favorite ones ever (tied with First)!! He's so adorable!! And so talented!! Literally don't even get me started on his acting or his singing voice...

I'm not saying that none of these are true about Gemini, because they absolutely are!! And I love him as well! But Fourth is the one that pulled me in and now is one of my current favorite actors ever! So I just find it interesting that every reactor I watch had almost the opposite happen!

Also, I'm not trying to say Fourth doesn't get any praise, as he 100% does (so does Gem, and they both completely deserve all of it and more)! This is just simply a pattern I've noticed from watching almost every (English) reaction of MSP out there...
