started (binge)watching fourze and I feel utterly lied to regarding the initial premise of Movie Amalgamation of American Highschool Feel Good Friendship Movies. "let's skip this one for now," my sibling said. "I'm kinda sick of silly high school dramas," they said. "fair enough," I agreed. It turns out the protagonist fucking dies and he's not even mad about it - how more anti-drama can you get???!!!

Though none of these are the ones I ended up going with, have some of the ideas I threw around for a Fourze Roleswap AU.

First:

We've got Gentaro as the scientist, Kengo as Fourze, Yuuki as Meteor, and Ryuusei as the person who's helping Gentaro at the start.

This one would have required some personality changes to really work, and it felt a bit... boring.

Second:

This one could have worked, but definitely would have been complicated. Though it would have been cool having both the Riders as women.

Honestly, this one just didn't vibe with me as much as I'd have like. It was hard to find an idea that wasn't too different but also still really worked.

Wait who is Keiichi Hasegawa?

Keiichi Hasegawa has been a serial subwriter on Kamen Rider, previously working on W, Fourze, Drive, and as part of the writer carousel on Ghost and Saber. he is deranged!

Nah but seriously, he creates some fascinatingly insane vibes in his episodes, I definitively look out for his contributions whenever he's on staff. For instance, he wrote the evil car, nazca death, doll and diamond arcs in W, and he wrote the cygnus cult and JK's second arc in Fourze. i definitely found him by far the most Interesting writer on Saber's rotation.
