A bit throwback to previous chapter. Things are unfolding as exactly as Ino-senpai has predicted way back at the beginning of Shibuya chaos. 

Okay, so we have three special 1st grade sorcerers from the Zenin, and Naoya, here is clearly drunk with power comes with the title.  

Oh, God. Poor Megumi. I mean, I think he will refuse once offered, but to add drama to him?? Everything about Shibuya just give Megumi short sticks and now this? 

This next arc probably is going to center a lot on him.

....okay, Naoya... So we have not one, but two people who are trying to kill Yuuji. If Yuuji can be killed, that is.  

This panel really break my heart. Sometimes I really want to hide Itadori away from the reach of Gege so he can stop hurting the boy 😔 

So Yuuji’s aware of Sukuna’s plan, and Megumi’s connection to it. Ah, boys. All I want is them to just... please talk it out and work it together. But I understand - he probably want to keep Megumi safe away from Sukuna’s reach.

He is really completely in Yuuji’s side. Yuuji scary.

The way that he’s no longer wear uniform is probably I’m most sad about. Megumi, please come and knock some sense into him 😭😭

Itadori is sitting on the 13th step of the staircase. It’s possibly a reference to a mystery novel titled “Thirteen steps”, written by Kazuaki Takano. The novel told about an old prison guard and a young man on parole looking for a murderer to prove the innocence of a convict in death row that may be falsely accused.

Next week’s chapter can’t come soon enough! There’s so many moving pieces now after Yuuji and that boy needs all the allies he can get. I don’t think that Megumi would do any harm to him but idk about Yuta.

FOR REALL!!! BUT AAAAHHH WE NEED TO SURVIVE THIS WEEK FIRST 

The way I’m seeing is they need to band against a mutual enemy. And yes, I mean the stinky man Naoya. Him spouting misogynic bullshit is like setting him up for a clash with Yuuta, of all people, who respect Maki deeply as a valuable friend. And I don’t think Yuuta will take threat to Megumi kindly, but it will all come down to how the actual relationship between Megumi and Yuuta plays out, since we still have no explanation on that front -  we only know that Megumi respects Yuuta deeply, but what about Yuuta to Megumi? If he respects Megumi the same, I think Yuuta will put Megumi’s safety first. I think that will be one of the keys to this arc.  

But then, if they actually defeats and kills Naoya, then the responsibility of becoming Zen’in head will automatically fall down to Megumi, which I don’t think is something that he’d like to do. But yeah, it will be mighty important for the future of the whole jujutsu world, and Itadori especially if the plot is pointed to that - since by becoming the head of one Great Three Families, he can securely postpone Itadori’s execution, maybe even cancel it for real.

Yup! I don't really that surprise if you remember that Gege is a horror fan lmao. Seems like a good movie too
