sure, why not. :0 like an au where some other characters are makai knights? i love those. if you need any of the specific lore i can wrack my brain attempting to remember it for you.

There’s a hand on his cheek. Warm and soft, fingers that feel like they never had a sword in hand and yet, there is something about the touch, the grip on his chin, that makes Jace terrified.

He’s not often scared. He’s been through too much to be. But the blindfold makes him anxious, the inability to see heightening other senses and making him paranoid.

But it’s not paranoia, is it? He’s tied to a chair, after all, a comfortable armchair and uncomfortable ropes, a suffocating smell of too many candles burning in the room, the strange stuffy warmth of a room with not enough air, and he’s slightly too hot. 

Hot like the fingers gripping his chin.

“It breaks me to break you.”

The breathing of his captor is suddenly close enough he can feel it on his cheek.

“But love is like that, isn’t it?”

There are coarse lips on his own and Jace wants to back away, feeling violated, but there’s nowhere to go and soft fingers still grip his chin. Then the lips are gone and the hand disappears, only to slap him.

After that all his knows is pain.

It’s hours later that he’s exhausted, every part of him broken and aching, and the man throws him in the closet. He lands on something soft, and there’s a grunt and he realizes it’s another person, tied up in the closet, just like him. 

The other captive’s hands find his face and Jace’s blood runs cold.

They feel the same.

But they’re cold. So cold.

uh, weird question i know. but i'm thinking about liveblogging a show, any tips & advice?

o, usually the only considerations I take into account is having a separate tag for the show (e.g. buld liveblog is krblb). This way, 1) it doesn’t actually show up in the actual show’s tag, 2) people can blacklist it in case they don’t want spoilers/aren’t interested. 

for big spoilers I also tag [show title] spoilers in case my liveblog ends up in search anyway. sometimes for Really Big Spoilers I don’t actually liveblog it; I’ll react to it later, or I won’t react to it at all, depending on mood. in general though liveblogs are more for me than it is for other people, so I don’t necessarily keep an audience in mind, I just. blog what I’m seeing In Real-Time

1) Oops, sorry. If I get asks about Shadowhunters, I assume it’s for Runed, because...I’m not Cassandra Clare and can’t answer questions about any other Shadowhunters? :P 

2) There are. Simon’s grandmother was one, and her breaking the Law ended with women being allowed to be hunters again. But among Downworlders she’s famous for actually, you know, seeing them as people (she and her friends went to Downworlders for training when the Clave wouldn’t let them attend the Academy). Her story will be important later.

3) It could happen. I’m not sure it ever has happened, because there have been very, very few agelae, but it would be possible to do, sure.

honestly all i can see in my mind’s eye is harvey, in the cruiser, with his coffee, shrugging, “maybe we should just let them do the work for us. can’t cause trouble if they’ve killed each other.” and literally everyone on the gcpd agrees but they know they can’t say it, or else jim gets all up in arms. so it goes.

both actually! The Narrative is alive so It enforces Its Will to full Its Purpose (the gaim's plot ), like a videogame, the cast runs around to trigger a scene, they have to say their "lines", since there's no dialogue tree, their conversations are long, has lots of guessing & sometimes very vague, A Narrative Rule: [y chara can't tell x chara something], ex. kouta abt hase "dying", the cast use flashcards, chrarades, & pictionary

micchy is still pretty focused on mai but it's less "mai-san's happiness" & more "piss off mai-san"

abt hase: hase isn't peko bc peko's nominally important to have Something Bad Happen to Him (nothing happens to peko, hase is 4ever bitter abt passing up his chance), hase gets to be an unnamed team baron dancer, hase freeloads around team baron garage, kaito is angry about hase being around & wearing the team baron uniform, zack & peko don't care around bc at least hase replaces stuff he broke (the flat screen, kaito, the flat screen)

A Narrative Rule: The "Dead" Musn't be Talked About in Present Tense, down side: the cast can't call hase by his name, upside: The Narrative uses Censorship to enforce name embargo, The Narrative uses rider music, so when kaito yells at hase, hase's name comes out as *baron fanfare*, zack & peko are Delighted & try it right away, zack: [chanting hase] *MISTER KNUCKLEMAN MISTER KNUCKLEMAN MIST KNU*, peko: [chanting hase] *baron fanfare*, kaito storms out, kaito quits team baron the next day

abt takatora's "death", it's not simple rock-paper-scissors, it's Dramatic rock-paper-scissors, they stand 2 feet apart, fists up, they throw hands like they're punching, it looks goofy, but The Narrative thinks it's Dramatic Enough, The Narrative Accepts, hallucination!takatora is replaced by a toy lockseed, takatora talks through it with a walkie-talkie, they talk abt mundance stuff, but micchy "reacts" the same & reads out the villain monolgue he wrote yesterday, The Narrative Accepts

hase-as-peko add-on: kaito calls hase the Unnamed Bastard, the cast do too, hase tests The Narrative Rule, "ryoji hase", "hase ryoji", "hase", "ryoji", get *Strike from the Shadows!*, so he tries using "ryose" or "haji" or just hase, but it's different see? he was trying to give himself a cool english name like, uh, haze, but he misspelled it, it's actually Hase with a z, The Narrative Accepts (The Narrative has used the "Contrived Misspelling as Plot Twist" trick for years, Its not gonna judge)

hase-as-peko add-on #2: since hase is now Unnamed Bastard & Hase with a Z, the cast willfully interpretes Hase with a Z as: Zhase, Hzase, Hazse, Hasze, Hasez & since Unnamed Bastard can go before & after his "name" ex: Unnamed Bastard Hasez, Hasze, Unnamed Bastard, hase's covered in "Hello, my name is __" stickers, the cast make a point of browsing hase's Directory of Names each time he's around,

kaito "death" scene add-on: yoko & zack tell everybody their ultimate revenge, micchy shills out high-def cameras & boom mics (possibly a fiml crew?), oren & jonouchi bake commerative cakes, rat & rica hold the boom mics, hase with a z, peko & mai film in three different angles, zack & jonouchi are double-wielding phones, their thumbs are going supersonic speed to take pics

kaito "death" scene add-on #2 : kaito yells, cuts himself off, flops over, kaito's a furious "corpse", the Ultimate Revenge Gang decide to take group & individual selfies, the background is kouta cradling kaito with a hand up in a peace sign, from over his arm poking out, you can see kaito's poofy hair & his death glare, the Ultimate Revenge Gang uses their selfie as lockscreen

oh! i may have explained The Narrative's & the cast's relationship wrong? The Narrative is alive & uses & dictates the cast to fulfill Its Purpose, the cast test The Narrative's Rules to figure out a) the barest minimum of effort to progress, b) give The Narrative shit, c) give each other shit. i hope this explains it better!

kouta's blase bc of yuya & mai, his acting is either wooden or Soap Opera Hysterics, there is no inbetween, yuya is such a dumbass, he backward heelys into a crack, mai is Down to Fight Anything & Anyone, micchy is an excitable teenager with a Grudge

micchy mistakenly shows mai his driver, mai grabs it, micchy tries to get it back, yelling, shoving, elbows, poking, toe stomping, shin kicking & keep away ensues, The Narrative doesn't think their "fight" is Narratively Important so it's not timed, they spend the rest of the episode fighting in the background

micchy is still pretty focused on mai but it's less "mai-san's happiness" & more "piss off mai-san"

interesting... so im curious about how all of this gets started? like, if the Narrative’s goal is essentially canon gaim, when do people start realizing that it’s there and trying to make them do stupid things? are you starting with canon personalities and extrapolating onwards from there? how do people start exploring the restrictions of the narrative?

hot garo swap au thought: horror!ryuga w/ good!jinga. jinga is continuously baffled by ryuga's staunch refusal to turn back into a human. ryuga's glad that there's a makai knight he can talk to and, maybe, possibly, thinks jinga's cute? jinga running after him, telling him he can be human is starting to get annoying. ryuga has horrors to rule! a kamen rider wish: actors in the suits! i know making a suit to fit the actor takes time but i want more of it? am i talking about melonman? yes, of course, i'm talking about melonman. mr kubota in zangetsu suit looked very sexie. i wish we saw that with kouta too? and for other riders!

if you haven’t yet my number 1 advice would of course be to watch hibiki bc the face actors helmetless in-suit are a near constant in that show. and everyone’s extremely attractive which makes it even better
